Okaaaayyy

Simpsons: okay
Stardust: Fucking great
Liscense to Wed: Good

And just now three mins ago:

3:10 To Yuma.

Starring Russel Crow and Christian Bale.

Great movie about a family man/rancher (Bale) with no options left must risk everything he has to make sure hardened criminal Ben Wade (Crowe) makes the 3:10 pm prison train to Yuma.

The movie is set just a few years after the Civil War. Dan Evans (Bale) is a rancher in Arizona who has fallen on hard times because of a drought and a sinister land aquisitioner who wants his land for the inevitable railroad.

Evans meets Wade just after stumbling on a recen stagecoach heist. Wade showing the man some compassion allows him to go free.

The two later meet and after Wade is captured, a financially desperate Evans volunteers to help the possy bring in Wade.

The movie successfully plays the emotional sprectrum from humor to despair with terrific story writing and top notch acting. Both Crowe and Bale do not fail to deliver and put on a first rate performance. You'll find yourself rooting for both characters. Look for other good performances by Alen Tudyk, Henry Fonda and an extended cameo by Luke Wilson.

Over all 4/4 stars from me. I loved it!

holy crap :P I watche 3:10 to yuma last night as well.

I agree for the most part but, in the end, I didn't buy the relationship between the two main characters. So the actions of the Russell Crowe character didn't ring true for me.

thought the boy who played the son was excellant. And looked like he was really Christian Bale's son.

Really??? I could sense chemestry right from the first.

And yeah I meant Peter Fonda.

Okay also saw "War" whith Jason Staham and Jet Li.

I love both these guys but this movie felt like they did it for gas money. Statham became to rogish and to chliched with his throaty voice and bad attitude and Li was completely wasted on this movie. Watching him beat someone's ass is truly a thing of beauty but, in this movie both actor's superior martial arts skills took a sideline to some bad gun play.

1/4.

That's because in the original, the ending is not the same. What Russel Crowe did was not how it was originally, in the Van Johnson & Glenn Ford version. I also thought that though it made for a cool offbeat ending, it tended to contradict his character, but not enough to ruin the movie or anything. It was still a very enjoyable western

Just rented "Sunshine" The latest movie from Danny Boyle, the director of "28 Days Later". As sci-fi goes, it's worth watching. It does tend to confuse itself in deciding whether it's a sci-fi, or a horror, but it was still a well made movie, with stunning visuals, especially since they didn't have much of a script to work with

I'd say I liked it

Watched You Kill Me last night. Kinda quirky little romance about a alcholic hitman in the buffalo mob goed to San Fransico to dry out, work in a funeral parlour, and fall in love with Tea Leoni. Worth a look. The performances were great. Ben Kinsly plays the hitman and Luke Wilson plays his sponser.

I enjoyed it but mr. wissaboo thought it was a chick film. :wissa: how you could call a movie about a hitman for the polish mob in buffalo a chick flick is beyond me.

Saw Rush Hour III last night. It managed to be funny and lame. My bought it but I doubt I'd ever watch it again. The best part of the movie was the bloopers at the end.

Max Von Sydow is a bad guy, the Asian hottie is a kung fu master. Jackie Chan tries to do the right thing

If that movie had been any more telegraphed, I would've known the whole thing by the time I finished paying for it at the Blockbuster checkout

In fact, I think I did :wissa:

Watched War. I'll agree Li was wasted on the martial arts, but I thought the movie was decent overall.

Just watched the television version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. I just like this movie even though it is one where bad guys stand up just to be shot down again. The mix of their dysfunctional marriage with the action just cracks me up. And Brad Pitt's response when he lost his guns and found out how many more people his wife had killed was great.

Just re-watched "War of the Worlds" with Mojo's favorite actor.

One word, four syllables:

In-friggin-tense.

Even after seeing a second time I was still terrified. And this has to be Tom Cruise's best role ever. Even better than the Jamie Fox assassin guy. He's just a regular guy trying to survive and along the way has to deal with a wacky teenage son, a bratty daughter and an as per usual Tim Robbins. Oh and evil space aliens.

Great movie if you like being scared. And if nail-bitting apprehension is more you're speed than say... "Hostel" style gore, then grab a date and watch this flick.

OK i watched war of the worlds with Tom Cruise

It's nowhere near as good as the musical version i just bought on DVD

Some parts were good

What should have been the artilary man that Cruise killed ( the bit where he as going to build underground tunnels ) was faily close to the book and Burtons musical version

However there was nothing like the "thunderchild" where we have hope and have our hopes dashed in one swift heat ray

I like the movie , it's just that i like this story very much and it needs to be absolutely briliant to really thrill me

Just finished the Kingdom. Great movie. It seemed to have a little of everything from politic and cultural intrigue to action. The acting was good all around down to the FBI director who had just one full scene. The action at the end had a realistic feel to it and Garner's fight scene was better than anything I remember from Alias or Elektra. And once they get you moving with the action, they hit hard with the last 2 lines of the movie. Not for the kiddo's though.

isn't it about kids disapearing?

Mostly about one little girl gone missing. Casey Affleck is a private detective, but seriously it works like gang busters
