anyone ever see the superboy series that ran in the late 1980s?
two guys played the role (one left or was ousted) and the cheese factor was very high.
the lois & clark series was highbrow stuff in comparrison.

Watched the latest Die Hard tonight. It wasn't bad. Kinda an unexpected concept. I may have been watching too many action movies lately.

I think I'm behind

Oz the Great and Powerful
I have to admit I rolled my eyes when this one came out. But as I told my children, there were more than one book about oz. Me and my youngest enjoyed this one quite a bit. No one else did though.

Despicable me 2
More hijinks with the minions. Their names never get old. The funniest thing for me was that the secret potion turned everyone purple and antidote was yellow. :rachel: And yes there was no one else laughing at that.

Monsters u

it was cute. Nice message

I just saw Pacific Rim. I won't pretend it's a work of genius but it was good fun, and I wasn't bored for a moment. It invites comparison with the Transformers franchise, which to my mind is one of the worst blights on modern cinema. It's much, much better than Transformers.

Plus it has Idris Elba with an English accent. Form a queue ladies

yeah. The premise was a teenage boy finds himself on a missing children website.

unfortunately it's too easy to make jokes about him being raised by wolves.

Fright Night

Surprisingly not bad. I enjoyed it quite a bit. And actual scary vampire. Nice little cameo by Christopher Sarandon too. Wasn't as sexy as the first one but I think it was a little scarier. It was also missing the homosexual overtones of the first.

Behind the Candelabra
The performances in this were just amazing. Scott included. It's a shame they are all only nominated for emmys and not oscars. Michael Douglas just disappears into the role. He's never over the top which is pretty hard to do when playing Liberace. Matt Damon gives an amazing performance as well.

it's not missing any homosexual overtones

I hate that Tom Cruise keeps making great movies. But this is a great movie. I suppose it's a little predictable, but I thought it was great sci fi

Way too heavy handed on the racism. Though it had some nice moments where people were supporting him. The Harrison Ford character was was curious. I'd like to know if his real motivations were anything close to the motivations in the movie

Kick-Ass 2

Ok it was excessively violent, but I liked it. I like still like the idea of super heros in the real world. Jim Carrey was almost unrecognizable in it. I actually stayed to watch the credits to make sure it was him. Good roll for him.

finally saw ww z today. I enjoyed it. Fast zombies are stills scary. And there were a few unbelievable elements. But then, a zombie plague is a little unbelievable in itself.

It was a few weeks ago, but newer movies was "Smurfs 2". I grew up on them and I loved them then. So when the first movie came out, I super excited. This movie wasn't as good as the first, but it kept my interest and I enjoyed it. The plot was interesting and entertaining for both adults and kids. What I liked as well, was they didn't use the same 2 or 3 popular Smurfs in the lead. Sure Papa and Smurfette, but they didn't use Brainy. I liked that.

The other I just saw was "New Year's Eve". I loved "Valentine's Day" so this was a no brainer. But I enjoyed it. What, like 5 stories going on at once with a few intertwined. Which was good. Kept you interested cause if one was getting boring, they would cut to another story. Characters were funny and it made me cry as well.
