silver linings playbook

First half hour I was thinking ugh what have we gotten ourselves into. But then the characters really take off and it's just lovely.

Parker
Started out as this hard ass caper movie and morphs into some sort of romantic comedy when Jennifer Lopez shows up. Kinda weird. But I got to look at Jason Stratham for 2 hours so it was all good.

Think I'd rather look at J-Lo for 2 hrs, rather than Jason, but that's just me !! :p

I just watch "warm bodies" there are 2 kinds of zombies n this movie... the regular dead.. who eat brains and what not.. and the dead who "give up" and turn into "bonies" ...

the regular zombies who slowly turn back to humans.. once they are awakened to "feelings" and memories..

there were a lot of plot holes at the beginning... its campy and different.

I didnt love it.. but I didnt hate it either.
All my posts are done from my tablet. I apologize for all strange errors in my posts... as swype hates me. :violet:

Saw this again recently. The story still didn't make much sense, but at least the action barrels along like an express train, and the special effects define exactly the term 'eye popping' !! *****

Saw the kids movie "Epic" with my daughter. The animation was incredible. But the story was kinda boring and it was not on my list of kids movies that I enjoyed.

Though I did love the fact that Steven Tyler was in it. He was the role. :)

the 13th warrior

i saw this when it first came out in the theaters years ago. a bit gory, but kind of an interesting popcorn-muncher that tries to be an epic film.
i read that it had a lot of problems that delayed it coming out for a few years, you can kind of see that.

Superman: Man of Steel.

I don't think they can ever top or compare to it. It was that good and I think that's the real fatal flaw. They had such an epic start, I think that anything Lex Luthor can conjure up would pale in comparison.

Best movie this year.

Looking forward to WWZ.

my dad sold them all the cars for the first superman with Christopher Reeves.

watched Jack Reacher last night. It was't bad. More plot than most of Tom Cruise's movies lately. The end was so ridiculous though it kinda spoiled it.

it was based on a novel, so that's where the plot came from.

I liked Man of Steel, but I think it was a bit heavy on the special effects. And (SPOILER) the ending kind of ripped off ST09. :liz:

the miracle worker, the 1962 version.

the famous story of helen keller & how anne sullivan helped her to learn.
i wonder how much was true & how much was added drama.
i read keller's auto biography the story of my life, i recommend it.
