Not seen it, but can imagine that the Bourne Legacy (as JK describes it), would be like a Bond movie with 006 Fred Bloggs taking the lead - it's LIKE the originals, but nowhere near as good !!
Bourne Legacy, I saw that movie, it was actually pretty cool (on big screen, beautiful XD) I liked it, so did mum and we're thinking about getting it. Some really nice chase scenes and......

we like guy movies XD

(besides, tell me this is not hot)

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!

How about the rumors of Ghostbusters 3 that have been circling for nigh on 3 years now? How badly is that gonna suck if it gets made! :barf:
Ah, Kirk, my old friend. Do you know the Klingon proverb which tells us revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It's very cold.......in spaaaace.

Seeking A Friend For The End of The World

Meh is wasn't completely terrible, but the general feeling you get throughout is that perhaps the world ending isn't such a bad thing for all these characters

Frankly, I found it a bit difficult to buy into. The mass hysteria was minimal, the reckless abandoned debauchery is over done for comedic purposes, but isn't all that funny. In fact, the supporting cast is littered with comedians like Patton Oswald

If the world were really going to end in the next 2 or 3 weeks, there is no fathoming the level of chaos that would ensue. It was all just too sterile for the subject matter

Yeah, I've been procrastinating on seeing it. I figure it's about as good as those Jack Black Panda cartoons, or the Ice Age one's with Ray Romano & Denis Leary

& there's a reason for that? Ironically, I did a spotify search on him just now, to see if I remembered any of his songs, but he doesn't show up. (Mostly because he's a songwriter, not as much a performer). I came up with a bluegrass mandolinist named Paul Williams, & a blues saxophonist named Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams

So thanks weird little songwriter Paul Williams for helping me find The uber cool Hucklebuck Williams! He's friggin awesome!

Funny how life works out. I'm a hoppin to some Hucklebuck right now :dance1:

Oh... I know who he is. I just couldn't find anything on spotify from him. He also did Emmit Otter's Jugband Christmas, which has some nice music too

Just watched "Machine Gun Preacher" on Netflix, produced by & featuring Gerard Butler, a less than stellar film achievement about a very worthy topic & real life person, Sam Childers, the ex-con turned preacher turned Sudanese orphanage builder, who fights on the front lines to rescue Sudanese children

The film is marginal at best (Kinda wanders all over the place, not able to focus very well) but it's worth watching just to know about him, & to remind you about some of this world's atrocities

Bit of a confusing plot to try and follow, but plenty of action to make up for that, and a swarm of 'self-replicating spiders' kept showing up to give them something to do. Kinda hoopy seeing Tea'lc a bit younger (and thinner) than he is in the series. Overall, not a bad way to pass a coupla hours !! ****
one problem with that is they crammed in everything
they wanted to deal with in an 11th season (which they
were expecting to do when sci-fi pulled the plug) into
a 2-hour (or so) movie. so a lot of stuff got short-changed.
Personally I think if you've not seen all of SG1 1 - 10, then it's likely Ark of Truth will come across as confusing & hard to follow because you have no back story since as you said AWOL, it was really suppose to be Season 11.

Ark of Truth & Continuum are not stand alone films, they need to be watched after the SG1 seasons.
