Wissa's ongoing hair removal problems.

So, as you may or may not recall, I have been exploring alternative hair removal options. I have grown tired of my slavey to the little pink razor blade. Last summer I attempted to defoliate using nair. As you recall, I bled for approximately 12 hours afterwards. So a few weeks ago I decided that waxing was the way to go. I went and pretty much got waxed from the neck down. And it was great for about two weeks.

On the weekend my legs started to get ichy. Within a day of this both legs were covered in itchy, bumpy, ingrown hairs. After 4 days of scratching and exfoliating, it is starting to subside a little. However, I now have stubbly road rash over the entire surface of my legs. I've been assured by the esthetician that if I continue waxing my hairs will adjust and I won't have the ingrown hair problem anymore. But I'm a little discouraged by the fact that I now have stubble after two weeks and will have to wait another two weeks before it is long enough to wax again. I am enjoying the underarm and bikinni line waxing though.

So, now I don't know what to do. Should I continue waxing one or two or more times? And see if I can live with the stubble? or should I just resign myself to eternal slavery to the little pink razor?

IMO I say keep waxing and buy Camomile lotion for the itching. The stubble is a problem whether you shave or wax.

I have resigned myself to a life of slavery. Although I would like to try a bikini wax. I get ingrown hairs there all the time even from shaving. :crying:

These are my favorite disposable razors though. I started using them about 6 months ago and I love them.

I'm going to have to try a wax. I would love not to have to worry about it all the time.

Time you went all natural!

I use the Pink version of those but it's not a disposable one. I really love mine and as far as waxing goes - I won't be waxing anything other than my eyebrows.

It's Christmas!

Not ever try waxing on the legs or under arms, just only the eyebrows and mustache area, you know what I mean. The rest I shave with lady Gilette razor which have refill razors(double blades) and they are expensive, so I could not get those much now. Had to buy cheap ones that throws away but I use with the Skinmate shaving gel which mosturized my skin, keeps smooth. I love the smell of the gels.

When I crack that whip, everybody goin' to trip like circus
In my waxing experience, after waxing use baby oil over the waxed area's. Not only does it soften your legs to baby soft skin but helps with any irratation.
