I would die without AC. It has been near or at 100 all week with 60% or more humidity :crying:

I'm melting here on the coast too Jadz, so much for a sea breeze! :wissa:

It's 25 degrees C at the moment and it's only 13:30pm according to the forecast it's gonna get to about 33 degrees C by 16:00pm.

I wouldn't mind it being so hot if it was a dry heat but it's so damn humid! :(

The university doesn't even have air conditioning or fans in the lecture rooms. I'm sure everyone in my group has lost 20 kilos. And the Brits still bring us tea or coffee every 3 hours.

One thing has really been bothering me though. How can Shep and HRH complain about the writing and acting on ENT when they are from the UK. I'm sorry my beautiful bondage girls, but your local shows that aren't comedy are still funny.

Tomorrow I get to head closer to touristy stuff around London. Planning on the British Museum and some Shakespearean stuff. Any other suggestions? Where should I keep an eye out for you ladies?

Pop quiz for anyone reading this

Here's some advice for you rab.....

STAY AWAY FROM THE SOAPS! as in Eastenders & Corination Street - bad Brit TV imo and if you want to read a decent News paper get the Times, stay away from Tabloid junk - most of it's just made up!

Erm having not ventured as far as London I can't really suggest much on the sight seeing side of things but apparently it's worth going on the London eye.

If you want to see Jadz & myself, you'll have to travel North for about 4 hours or so. :)

Thanks for the advice. I will try to avoid the soaps. In the US, they only come on during the day, so I am not use to defending myself from soaps. I keep waiting for a nice episode of Dr. Who but I came across a forensic cop show that I like better than CSI.

I haven't heard of the London eye.

Are there any major airports near you like Edinburg?

Been getting the 90s and above here, too. Had very little rain yesterday. :( If I go out, I feel the heat until I come back home, ahhh feel good to cool off with the air conditioner. I know some places do not have air conditioner and that is unbearably hot! I feel sorry for Lus and Jadzia having to stand all that heat! :( :hugs:

Do you guys keep yourselves hydrated? Avoid getting heatstrokes, have plenty of fluid in you.

If you go along the Thames, I'm sure you'll see it and you can go on it. It's like a Big Wheel at the fair really. :)

Our Soaps are on from about 7pm at night and take over most of the night usually it's good you've found something you like but I'm not when Dr Who is on all I know is that it'll be on one of the BBC channels either 1,2 or 3. :)

The nearest Airport to myself is Manchester, I'm about an hour North of it on the M6 Motorway (Freeway)

In Answer to Liz's post, I'm drinking bottles and bottles of Water to stay Hydrated. I'm also having nice freezing cold showers - they are helping a little.

But I've just had one & already feeling hot again, it's gone 11pm and the temperature is 24 degrees C :(

I just got back. I left my dad over there and he has to take a ferry ride up to Shannon to make it back to the states this week.

I really liked your country. I will have to come back and visit soon. We made the whirlwind tour of London and Stonehenge which just made my list of places to go next time even longer. I'll try not to bring the heat with me next time.

Glad you got back safe and you've left the Hot weather behind, you could have at least taken it back with you.

Really glad you enjoyed the UK and you're welcome back anytime. That goes for everyone that's across the Pond.

Just remember that if you decide to drive, we drive on the Left - the right side of the road to drive on! :P

Yep it is, it has something to do with when Horses were used for trasport and the side you had to mount on. That's why we drive on the Left.

I'll try and find some more info on it. :)

Edit - clicky click that --->Just found the Info!
