So what do you think of the new james bond? Daniel Craig. I've seen him in a couple movies and I can totally buy him as james bond. I'll admit he isn't a pretty boy but he smolders and moves like a cat.

By the way, there is a full frontal picture of him out there in a bath tub. Unfotunatley against IF rules. But if you do a google image search.........

Some other choices for bond?

I think Craig will do just fine. When he kicks someones ass it is believable. When Peirce kicked someones ass I always thought in the back of mind mind "yeah right  "
You know, there are some words I've known since I was a schoolboy: "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie, as wisdom and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged.

Brosnan was ten years too late. I thought he was too old to play bond and the time had just passed for him. I don't know if anyone else remembers but they wanted him in the late 80's but the show scarecrow and mrs king wouldn't let him do it.

I remember. I was cheering for Brosnan to get the role. Then the producers of "Remington Steele" wouldn't release him from his contract. Only to have the show end like a year after they'd tied him down to their contract. But by then it was too late and Tim Dalton had gotten the role.

We need a general trivia emoticon but I'll awared myself this one for correctly ID'ing the show in question. :P

There were a bunch of those shows with almost the same premise in the 80's Moonlighting, Scarecrow and mrs. king, remington steele, hart to hart.

brosnan thought he might have been too
young at the the time he was first offered
the part of bond ( he was around 34 at the time)
this new guy is about 38

BTW brosnan made an uncredited
appearance as remington steele on
an episode of moonlighting in '87
(according to imdb.com)

a bit of trek trivia;
pierce brosnan was in the TV movie
the manions of america with kate mulgrew
his first big acting job
