No, Canadians do not vote nilly willy for Edmonton if they in fact hate the Oilers. I know a few folks cheering for the Canes. However, the country does "in general" support a Canadian team in the playoffs because we like the cup to reside north of the 52nd parallel. It's our game. We invented it and its practically synonymous with our national identity. BTW, The series is over. the Canes have won the cup. Roloson's knee got blown out so it'll be a full blown Miracle if Edmonton can win now. Morgan PS... All this hockey talk is bound to raise my testosterone levels. I better take a pill!

Unregistered	Excuses!!! That is part of your culture!! We lost our best player, and our starting goaltender, yet we move on... By the way, Morgan, you never know. Not sure if you follow the NFL, but after the Patriots started 0-2 one year, their starting qb went out with injury, and some guy named Tom Brady came in and won 3 out of the next 4 super bowls. There is ALWAYS a chance. See, by your comment, if the Canes win, we were supposed to and there is no joy. If the Oilers win, it is some great, unbelievable accomplishment. Rod Brind ' Amour is beyond doubt your best player. Playoff's are about grit. Ward is a good goalie but he's got weaknesses. He likes to challenge and come out. That would be ok if he was able to rope in rebounds but he doesn't smother the puck well enough. That's what cost them the first goal last night. No, the key to Carolina's fortunes rises and falls on Brind ' Amour now, if we can somehow remove him from the playoff equation!!! :evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh: Morgan
