Unregistered	So, they might be from your country, but you might have a "rivalry hatred" for them from times past. So, it is more important to cheer for a hated rival because they are from your country, or do you want to see them go down? And what an unbelievable game 1 tonight!! Anyone see it?

Oh and by the way.... i was watching that is why they tied. :P ps. Wayne Gretzky has never been hot. He always reminds me of this guy that followed me around at my grad party telling my how he played with gretzky when he was a kid. I kept saying "wow he did better than you didn't he?" It confuses hockey players when canadian girls don't offer them the keys to the castle just because they play hockey.

Unregistered	They didn't tie!! Canes WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I asked this, because if I were a baseball fan, or say a Dodgers fan.... and if the Giants (their main rival) were in the world Series say against the Toronto Blue Jays, most Dodgers fans would cheer for the Blue Jays, because they don't want thier arch enemy lording over them the fact they won the WS. So, if you HATED the Oilers as your rival in Hockey, you would be happy they won, just because they are from Canada? To me that is a little strange. Wissa, I think I need your hubby to explain his point of view

That is why my husband turns all red when I tease him and tell him I am rooting for the canes because I am from calgary. It is just the way it is. No rivalry is strong enough to wish the stanly cup in an american city. We believe all hockey trophy's belong to us.

We'd be cheering for the Jays because we'd want them to smash the crap out of the White Sox. The Tigers are doing it for us this year. :P
