As the conference part tends to go on and on, I figured I would take a look around the town. As I have never been in those northern states before I figured I should ask if there are some good sights I should check out there. And tips on what I can do when visiting in-laws in the U.K. would also be greatly appreciated from those on the other side of the pond.

Depends where in the country, theres pleanty to do in London but it is expensive

Bedfordshire Very pretty place bedfordshire click the link for some of the attractions. Portsmouth Porstmouth is the sunniest place in England, has a very popular shopping mall and pleanty of beach.
