Hi Angels :)

In another thread I mentioned I'd give the meaning on my own avatar but was hoping I'd get some guesses in first. Since we're still a small group it's possible that no one here knows who she is... so here's a clue:

She appeared in the original Star Trek series.

Morgan crafty Morgan muahahaha

Sherlock... I mean... KHANNNNNNN

Mine is a tribute to Connor of course, it serves as a reminder that I'm the boards Trip fan!

Oh! What's the film or TV reference T'Pol?

Ol' Trip looks mighty young there.

No he's that young there, its a clip from his Japanese advert that he did.
It's one of my favourite pictures of him, he looks so sweet the rose in his hand.

Well mine is just Archer doing the Vulcan hand thing cause it looks cool.

I will hazard a guess on your avatr Morgan.
Its obviously someone who would have been young in TOS, so I am going to guess Miri, from the episode with the same name?

oooh.... Good guess MadIrish BUT... the gist is Moondance thought I was female probably based in part on my avatar. Well, the next clue is that this board was largely conceived by our female colleagues in order to discuss the more basic attributes that make captain Archer appealing to the fairer sex. :)

Soooo... as a male trying to fit in with the girls here I figured I should choose an avatar appropriate to the idea of a male being involved with a predominantly female interest.

Confusing enough?

hehehe, well since I'm such a fan of ST:TOS I was lucky enough to find a somewhat suitable reference to my presence here at Arch-Angels.

Short answer: No, not Miri :)

Morgan tricky Morgan :P

 I didn't think that because of your avatar.

I've never known a male Morgan before.

I "assumed" you were female based on what I know of Morgan's.

Other than those who are horses that is. :D

OK

One of my favorite songs is by Van Morrison, "moondance"

As it happens, I fell in love over a course of moonlit evenings with my Beloved.

It's his favorite "screen name" for me.

Though, I think I have nearly 400 different ones. :angel1:

I assumed you were male because I have a friend called Morgan.
And I knew there were other guys here, I was one of the first to openly go to Archers Angles(I think I was anyway).
But thats a good reason for choosing it. :)

Not Miri, aye?
Hmmmm... Given what you have said I think I can make a better guess.
Dr.Janice Lester?
The woman who stole Kirks body so that she could be captain?

YES! party

Excellent work Mad Irish Man bowdown

Yep! She's Janice Lester from Season 3 in the episode entitled Turnabout Intruder.
Tho, judging from her expression it might be Kirk in Janice's body at the time this shot was taken. _lmao_

Anyways, I thought it'd make a good little in-joke wrt the board and its um... feminine appreciation of Captain (Scott Bakula's) Archer's masculine charms.

As to my name:

It's a traditional Welsh male name and means "by the shore". The feminine version is Meagan but increasing numbers of females have been named Morgan as time progressed.

So there you have it. Great work Wild Irish Man!

Avatar meaning? Ummmmmm...

Honestly, my original avatar was one someone decided fit my personality. I was having trouble with it, so Moondance gave me this one because it was similar. :) :angel1:

You gave some good clues, and it actually got me thinking about some good TOS episodes I haven't seen in a few months.

Morgan is Welsh? Must be why there are so many males called Morgan in Ireland. Probably a lot in Scotland too.

I made Mad Irish Man up when I was 12 and was beginning to play Half-Life online.
I wanted everyone to know I was Irish and I wanted to sound aggressive.
And I didn't want to appear as a kid so I threw 'Man' in there.

Well... I love the Irish having a goodly % of that wonderful genetic strain in my own make-up. I'm adopted but my birth mother was Irish with the family name: Doran. This apparantly means that my ancestors hail from Queen's County or
as it is also known Laois County.

My bosses second name is Doran.

I always love talking to people who are part Irish.
Good old Laois, they have a good Gaelic football team.
