Hey ya'll!

I've been busy for the past few days running errands and applying for jobs. If you have the time, please remember me in your dua's. I could reallyyyyy use a summer job!

Other than that, I'll be working on an essay on colonialism.

Those of you who are still having exams, I pray that Allah (subhana wa ta'la) grant you success on all of them as well as grant you success in your profession. Ameen.

I know things may seem difficult, but remember after every hardship there is ease. :)

What're everyone's plans for the summer?

For the first week, probably nothing. I need to recover from the trauma of exams.

Might be going to visit relatives in Lebanon, insha Allah- it's quite funny, having to plan your holidays around political crises :)

I'll remember you in my du'aas akhi. May Allah make it easy for you.

My Summer break has started (alhamdulillah the exams went well). I'm hoping to travel to Kashmir otherwise I'm most likely going to be at my home city- do some Masjid work, maybe write up some articles myself insha'Allah.

Everyone have a wonderful summer break!

Everyone seems to be travelling ... kashmir? I heard its very beautiful. If you end not going and you write articles, what kind of articles would they be about?

I hope everyone's enjoying their summer as well!

Wa iyyokum

I haven't been to Kashmir in years so if Allah wills it, I will travel there. Wallahu alam! It is a beautiful place alhamdulillah :)

The articles which I'm hoping to write about will be based on History of the East Mediterranean, Purpose of Life/Revival of the Ummah- basically articles revolved around this area Insha'Allah khair.

If I do go, Trablos (Tripoli) and Beirut. Trablos is not very far from the flashpoint near Nahr al-Bared.

Amatullah, you are an Islamican, aren't you? Which Islamican are you? I guess you are either Nida Divani or Pinkypearl? Who really?

Brothers and sisters, when I see you and others especially bloggers write nice articles, I envy you. Maashallah to you. But I think I have wanted to be an intellectual since before I started school and since before I even learned to read and write but I still have a long way to go. Anyway, everything is supposed to be step by step. I hope to smoothly pass my classes this semester first and foremost.

Alhamdulillah. Thats great akhi, I pray you do a wonderful article and I look forward to reading it. Thanks for willing to share your sources with me, I need all the information I can get to write up an article, I'm hoping that one of the UK Islamic Magazines can publish it InshaAllah.
Currently, the sources that I'm using is an audio lecture by Ali Al-Tamimi on 'Revival of Politics in the Ummah', and gathering information on the Ethics of Disagreement from various scholars/writers. I will let you know as soon as I've dug out some good info. The base of my article would be that differences of opinion is nothing new, it existed even at the time of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wassalam), and during the period of great scholars such as Abu Hanifah and Imam Shaf'i, however these differences didn't stop the Muslim nation from being the leading ones in the world, hence differences shouldn't really be a cause of divisions. I want to touch upon the lack of ways of resolving disputes and thus leading to the need of a Khalifah. May Allah give us the strength to sacrifice anything for seeking his pleasure alone and steering clear of worldly attachments and divisions. Ameen

Islamican? As in Islamica Community forums? No I'm not a member there but I've visited the place not too long ago. That's where I found a link to Shield of Islam forum and I found that this forum is more of my cup of tea. I'm a moderator on Gawaher.com and these 2 are the only forums I post on currently.

Ugur, Insha'Allah you will gain the opportunity to write up articles one day :)

Wassalam

Oh then the Amatullah in Islamica forum is somebody else. I suppose her user name was something else before she changed it to something like Amatullah. Anyway, thank you for the info. :D
