I'm making a sprite edit to use in my sig, and I'm trying to figure out what would best represent my character. Also, I'm looking for critiques on the quality of editing.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My character is seventeen, and has an effervescent positivity regardless of the situation, though in battle, he tends to get carried away with strategy, and leaves concern for anything but his Charmeleon and/or victory behind. (I feel like #2 is probably the closest.) ((That was a really bad run-on sentence.)) Edited by RikuMurasaki, Jul 2 2011, 11:27 AM.

I'd have to say that #2 does look best to me, with #3 in a close second. The glasses look kinda weird on the first one, and the Silver edit looks a bit too short for 17. #1 seems a bit too tall to me, but that might just be my Shorty McShortperson-ness showing. I really like what you did with the detailing on the jackets. The one on the Silver edit looks kinda weird, but the overall design of it is cool; I think there's just not enough room on him for it. |

Thanks. And the lining on the Silver edit is actually what was already there, just re-colored. It worked in the original dark red because it wasn't as pronounced, but I agree. It doesn't look quite right in white. The only original detailing I did was to #2. The others were just recolors. Actually, the Gary/Blue edit wasn't even recolored when it comes to the accents.

Do you want/need any help getting the backgrounds transparent? I personally use the GIMP, but I've also heard good things about Paint.NET, and both are free. Youtube tutorial on how to do it in GIMP Youtube tutorial on how to do it in Paint.NET Official GIMP website Official Paint.NET website |
