(Updated when the fancy strikes us)
"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

Mt. Arath's unique architecture is the subject of much debate; the massive, albeit squat, mountain is a shining example of how screwed up half of the natural formations on Tohea are. Four immense equidistant spires each attach to the vaguely mushroom-esque mountain about two thirds of the way up, and at each juncture, waterfalls spew out vast quantities of water from an unknown source into the swampy plains below. Dozens of smaller waterfalls disgorge untold quantities of water from near the top of the mountain, ostensibly sustaining the greenery and wildlife, even though none of those streams seem to go far before feeding right back into the innards of the mountain.

The massive forest that seems to cover every square inch of the formation almost vaguely resembles the green fuzz covering a chia pet; trees and bushes grow solidly across the entire mountain, even poking out at odd angles out of sheer rock walls and lining the sides of the four grand waterfalls. Their vivacity is unmatched; even as some are uprooted by rushing water, replacements grow unnaturally quickly to replace them within weeks.

It seems clear that there is more to the mountain than is immediately obvious, but the sheer density of wild Pokémon make it quite inhospitable to non-trainers, and even to trainers the need to effectively climb a vertical mountain face to get anywhere near the top is remarkably offputting. Rumors persist of a system of caves inside, perhaps a lead to discovering the source of all that water, but nothing has been discovered by external inspection - it would likely take trainers willing to climb it and then spend significant time poking around to discover anything new. Thus, the oddly-structured formation stands there to this day, piquing curiosity with its unnatural shape and almost vaguely manmade form.

Numerous species of Pokémon inhabit the mountain, from the flocks of Flying-types that surround it at all times to the numerous species that lives in the streams and greenery of the mountain proper. For those less than fascinated by the prospect of exploration, the sheer breadth of wildlife is itself a strong draw.
