Non-Weekly Quote:
(Updated when the fancy strikes us)
"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

Ah, Ayer: seaside metropolis, immigration point, and soon to be place of some trials and tribulations for you, if your fate follows that of so many others. You’ll have to work hard to make your place in the world, almost as hard as you worked to get the love of your father. Acts of economic immaturity had left you with a measly sum of money in your pocket, and although you had Regulus, you’re sure to find some challenges in your new lifestyle. Your ship pulled into Ayer late in the day, with the sun just beginning its slow descent into the oceans’ depths. Stars were just beginning to appear on the horizon, but in front of your bright blue eyes the port of Ayer was bustling with activity.

As you begin the descent down the boarding ramp, your olfactory senses are bombarded with the scent of seafood being fried and grilled all along the boardwalk in various restaurants and shops. The dull murmur of the cruise ship fades away into the muted cacophony of shouts, whistles, rings and horns that every major city brings with it. The great majority of people on the cruise ship had already dispersed by the time you hit the streets of Ayer, and so you were slightly conflicted as to what to do.

There are a great many opportunities available to you at present. Off to your left, you see a group of sailors standing in a circle, two trainers yelling commands at Pokémon you could not see through the throng of seamen. If you and Regulus were feeling particularly frisky, you could almost certainly get a battle under your belt. However, if you were feeling a bit more sentimental, it was not hard to find a staircase that lead right down to the beach, where not a soul was to be found this close to dusk. The waves there crashed onto the sand, breaking into soft foam as they ran upon the beach, almost calling out to your after all of the craziness you’ve been experiencing the last few months of your life. You could see a few Pokémon scuttling around farther down the beach, but you cannot tell from where you're standing what they are. Then again, you could just be hungry! If so, plenty of restaurants were available to suit your palate.
