"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

MUSIC THREAD 2.0 SHAMELESSLY tl;dr post music to blow everyone else away with your incredible taste in themes and stuff. Put simply, this is a topic for us all to be snobs about our OH SO REFINED musical tastes and how that one CONCORDO in D MAJOR sounded so elegant with the harmonica and jew harp accompaniment while the director made out with a piano. NOW WITH EXTRA MODES JUST TO MAKE THIS MORE FUN. ORIGINAL MODE: explain why you like the song. NIGHTMARE MODE: you must comment on whatever the person above you posted. If you did or didn't like it, and why. Gorgeous, gorgeous remix of a Touhou... something or... okay I can't read moon runes so I have no idea, but point is it's freakin' beautiful classical music. And the pic is adorable to boot. <3 Sanae. |

@Munch: That's awesome! It was really exciting to listen to cause of the pretty classical-sounding parts & then the electronic VG-sounding bits. I like ^_^ And since I fail at technology, whoever wants to listen to this will have to do so in another window cause I have no idea how to embed things on forums XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGmEPp28QOg It's called "A Nightmare Before Kefka" - I found it on OCRemix & fell in love. Sadly, I haven't actually played FF6 so I don't recognize the original tunes but if/when I do play it I'm excited to catch the nuances better. Mostly, I just think it's a fun piece ^_^ |

>NIGHTMARE MODE I loved it. P.S. Kefka was my role model from ages 15-16. My music: Technoie stuff like that is my favorite. Remastered songs also have a place in my heart. |

Nightmare Mode, ON! Well, I couldn't listen to the whole thing because it got too loud, but it had a nice beat, anyway. I have 2 for you guys, the first is awesome Dungeons and Dragons geek music: The second is probably one of the best emotion-carrying pieces from any video game I've ever played. The track is titled Ghosts of Reach, and if you've played the latest Halo game or know the backstory, just think on that while listening. |

Ohh, I loved the folk-ish background the first video had, and the lyrics were pretty fun! The second one was amazing; I've never played Halo, but the intro piece was really, really good, and it just seems to have an undercurrent of harmony or union, almost as though it wanted to draw you into the chanting and drums! I think I'll post two as well, since I can't decide on just one between these two! The first one is "The Magic of the Wizard's Dream", by Rhapsody, and is one of my favourite songs! The second one is an arrange of Fujiwara no Mokou's theme, from Touhou: "Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke". It's really nice too! |

Oh wow... I had only heard "Dawn of Victory" from Rhapsody, and even though I like it, this one is far too different, and I liked it more! Thanks for sharing Hoshiko! Now I feel like I need to post this one here... It's from my current favorite anime "Katekyo Hitman Reborn!", and it's the anime's first opening theme. I just can't seem to listen to it enough times. |
