PPSHHHHT Uhh..Attention all passengers, we have accidently drifted off course, and are headed towards a giant iceberg. We doubt this boat can handle this, so please throw your jewelry into the ocean now. It was a pleasure being your captain for this trip. Wait what? That’s not exactly what you wanted to hear as your first journey began to start, and now it was coming to a close? People began to rumble as obviously, they could see that there wasn’t any icebergs and in fact that the boat was docking. One guy took this maniac to heart and ran out of the main gathering cabin, onto the deck screaming. He kept running and went right overboard, never to be seen again. This was serious, he was either pulling your leg or increasingly drunk. Moments later, another broadcast came across the PA system. (off mic) did you see that guy freak out like that! Haha he went right over the ledge? AHAH!...its on? OH S$%^! (on mic) “Attention all passengers, it seems that we aren’t coming across an iceberg and in fact what I thought was a iceberg was indeed the dock to Ayer. I apologize for any frantic screaming, suicidal thoughts, and Titanic-esque motions like throwing jewelry into the ocean and never letting jack go, which may have occurred. We will be docking in 5 minutes.” More rumblings from trainers and tourists alike were made about the ethics and morals of this captain. He obviously was crazy, but that didn’t matter much anymore now that you have finally arrived at Tohea, and it’s little busy city that could Ayer. You have arrived during the end of summer, and beginning of Fall season. The city was still bustling from the recent ended strike and the air was just warm enough that you didn’t need any long sleeve/pants. There are several trainers to say the least here, which creates a bustling economy that thrives off of As everyone left the boat, there was no time for standing around. You were being pushed through the boat, and right onto the dock, where everyone left you to proceed to better experiences. The metal dock, rocked with every crashing wave that hit it. You were about 35 feet from the shore, which ment you couldn’t really jump off the side and walk in. The water was still pretty deep, and I hear that Jaws lives in this area. Ya Jaws. Sure. |

Rosella took a sip from her cup of apple juice happily as the ferry she was on sped towards the region of Tohea. How exciting, wasn’t it? She was finally going to begin her journey in Tohea. “First stop: Ayer!” she said, holding her cup in the air like a trophy. Jacelyn, who was lying on the end of the deck chair, didn’t even look up from her slumber. Rosella frowned. How could someone possibly sleep in all this excitement? “PPSHHHHT Uhh..Attention all passengers,” the PA system of the ferry was suddenly activated and the captain’s voice boomed throughout the ship. “We have accidently drifted off course, and are headed towards a giant iceberg. We doubt this boat can handle this, so please throw your jewelry into the ocean now. It was a pleasure being your captain for this trip.” Wait, what? GIANT ICEBERG? Rosella hopped off her deck chair and rushed to the railings. Many other passengers did the same. The entire passenger deck was abuzz with chatter, particularly because everyone soon realized that there was no such iceberg and that the ship was actually beginning to dock in Ayer. Seconds later, the door to the main gathering cabin was flung open, and a guy dressed in a floral shirt came running out onto the deck, screaming at the top of his lungs. He ran and ran, and before anyone could stop him or say anything, he threw himself right over the ledge and into the waters below. “…” Everyone was speechless. The guy was nowhere to be seen. Moments later, another broadcast came over the PA system. The captain’s voice was kind of soft, and Rosella could have sworn that he was laughing at mr.-we’re-going-to-die-let’s-save-ourselves-by-jumping-overboard. A cuss soon followed and suddenly the captain’s voice came on loud and strong again. “Attention all passengers, it seems that we aren’t coming across an iceberg and in fact what I thought was a iceberg was indeed the dock to Ayer. I apologize for any frantic screaming, suicidal thoughts, and Titanic-esque motions like throwing jewelry into the ocean and never letting jack go, which may have occurred. We will be docking in 5 minutes.” Everyone on the passenger deck started to “Come on, Jacelyn! We’re here!” She picked up her Pokémon, who quickly wriggled out of her trainer’s grasp and wriggled to the top of Rosella’s shoulder. Ayer could be seen from the side of the ship, and Rosella couldn’t wait to start her new journey with her new friend. After what seemed like forever, the ship rocked slightly, signaling to the trainer that they had finally docked. “Alright! Let’s g–” Rosella was interrupted by the sudden onslaught of human traffic that moved towards the dock. Unfortunately, she was caught in between the mess, and was pushed right towards the dock. Everyone happily The shore was a good 10 meters away, and Rosella knew that jumping off wouldn’t be a good idea. Spotting a few passengers in front of her, Rosella cheered and quickly followed them, hoping they would know how to get onto shore. |

Oh so we meet again! As you followed the other trainers Finally as the rest of the group dispersed, you were left alone with your Pokémon, in the middle of an unfamiliar town. Again, those sights and smells were all around you as the tall buildings, and delicious food surrounded you from every angle. However, with all good things there had to be some kind of negative attention, ALWAYS. Pulling your attention from this town, that is if you cared was a little kid tugging on your outfit. Not saying that this kid is a negative individual by any means, but I mean come on. HES LITTLE. ALL LITTLE KIDS ARE EVIL! If you decided to look down and give him your attention, you would notice a blonde hair, blue eyed little boy with a cute yet devilish smile. Looking up at you and still pulling on your outfit, he now began to speak. “Excusse me misss! I lost my brother, and I doe-nt know where he iss!” he said as he continued to tug on your outfit and refused to give up until you showed him…gave him that attention he yearned and demanded, with a cute devilish look. You could either give him that attention, or push him down and ignore him which by the looks of things, he has encountered several times before. But with that look on his face, who couldn’t resist helping a kid like that. Oh and if you do help him, request me. REFERENCE LINK < little boy. |

With Jacelyn on her shoulder, Rosella soon found herself nearing the main street of Ayer, having followed 5 people who were probably “I can’t believe he was selling fake Pokémon! What’s next? Fake Pokéballs? Drugs?” she shuddered. Jacelyn merely wiggled slightly. Pretty soon, Rosella found herself right smack in the centre of Ayer. Tall skyscrapers littered the town, while the scent of hot steaming waffles and hotdogs floated in the air. Picking up the scent of freshly baked bread, Rosella turned towards the left, and was about to go searching for the source of that wonderful heavenly smell when… “Excusse me misss! I lost my brother, and I doe-nt know where he iss!” Cordelia looked down and saw a little boy pulling on her jacket. He had a head of blonde sandy hair, a pair of bright blue eyes, and a cute yet somewhat… frightening smile. He continued tugging on her jacket, causing Jacelyn to wriggle down onto her trainer’s arm for fear that the small little boy was trying to ‘Helping a little boy wouldn’t be that bad, would it? It’s not like he’s some kidnapper who wants to steal all my Pokémon and then sell them online or something…’ Her mind made up, Rosella smiled at the little boy. “Sure, I’m Rosella, by the way. Now, where did you lose your brother again?” |

“My name is Hayden…” He said as he smiled to your answer. Trying to remember the last place he had his brother, a confused look went across his face, but after a few minutes of watching the little kid think, which by the way has to be the most boring thing to do ever, he remembered. “I wemember! COME WITH ME!” He said eventually screaming the last part. Grabbing your hand, he pulled you and made you follow him. His little feet were trying to move a lot faster then they were actually moving. The little adventurer took you across town, down busy streets, through dark creepy alleys back onto the streets, and through more and more alleys. The farther out you two went, the more vacant the lots became and farther and few the houses became. Finally he stopped in front of a abandoned house. The exterior was shot to hell, everything looked like it wanted to fall over, be shot out back or just jump off a cliff. Hayden refused to move forward even with you holding his hand. “Brayden wanted to go venture in but he never came out. I heard a bad scream and I ran away. Can you help me! Pleaseee!” He said tightening the grip on your hand. Seeing that you were in the probably ghetto of the city, far away from where you were a few minutes ago, and holding a 8 yr old boys hand standing in a building that his brother vanished in. So what are you going to do? Book it with the kid, without the kid or be strong and adventurous fighter and get into this house, kick what ever it is ass and find this brother. |

The little boy beamed and introduced himself as Hayden. His face scrunched up in concentration as he tried to remember the place where he and his brother were separated. With confusion etched on his face, Hayden took a few minutes to think before he finally spoke again. “I wemember! COME WITH ME!” he screamed the last bit, which brought some attention to the trainer and the young boy. Hayden didn’t notice, though, and took Rosella’s hand in his and pulled her along. The pair passed streets, alleys, more streets and more alleys. It seemed like a never ending path, but finally, Hayden stopped. Rosella looked up and gulped. Right in front of them was a huge derelict house. The house pretty much looked as though it would fall apart at any moment. The windows were broken, the house was really dark and the walls were cracked. Hayden tightened the grip on Rosella’s hand. “Brayden wanted to go venture in but he never came out. I heard a bad scream and I ran away. Can you help me! Pleaseee!” Rosella bit her lip. On one hand, some crazy psycho could be a permanent resident in the house, but on the other, maybe Brayden just got lost inside? As much as she didn’t want to take a step into the darkness, Rosella knew that she had to keep her promise to Hayden. She couldn’t just leave the poor kid alone! But… there was something creepy about the house. Maybe it was the ominous lightning and bats and dark and gloomy exterior and the overall low-maintenance look of the place that scared her, or maybe it was just that she was afraid of what could happen inside the abandoned house. Jacelyn wriggled on her trainer’s arm. “So you think we should go, huh?” Rosella said. Jacelyn seemed to nod and quickly wriggled up to her shoulder and stared at the little boy. The blonde haired girl turned towards Hayden and beamed. “We’re going to find Brayden now, would you like to come along with us?” said Rosella to Hayden, holding out her hand in front of him. |

“Sure!” Hayden said as if he really had a choice of whether or not you were going in without him. Suddenly this frightened little boy put on his game face, and became some kind of supernatural hero that wasn’t afraid of anything. Of course, he was also little, and not sure what fear actually was. But he, as well as you would soon find out! The two of you officially started your search off with a bang. Walking up to the front of the house, making it onto the cement landing in front of the door, Hayden became very impatient and went for the door. Turning the rusty-gold wanna be handle, he pulled with some might. Instead of opening, the door rocked backward and fell into the house, causing a loud echoing boom that rattled the old wooden structure. Dimly lit would be an understatement as what light that was coming into the house via the back door, only shined on parts that weren’t blocked by the walls. Welcome to the front half of the house. If you ignored the fallen over door and walked in, to your right would be a small room. It contained an electric piano, some rotted furniture with a unique but ugly texture to it and some old kind of curio cabinet. Directly in front of you was a small hallway, and to the right of the hallway, was the stairway. It only went up about 10-12 steps or so, before stopping at a landing, which split down to the right and up to the left. The stairs were of course carpeted, but there were no railings. Having no wall or railing to divide the top half, you could see the second level. Or at least a portion of it. What seemed to be right above the first room, was yet another room. Against the left side of the house (still on the top level), looked to be a bathroom, and another closed off room. There was a balcony/walkway that connected the left side of the upper story to the right half. Of course you couldnt see what was on the right side, as the room which will be explained next, had a wall that went all the way to the top. You would have to explore upstairs if you wanted to see what else was up there. Like I said, all the way to the right (first floor now) was another room, which was bigger than the first smaller room, but housed a dinning room set, which again like the furniture became a victim of the rot. There was nothing much in here, except a window, which you could see from the exterior, the purple drapes that hung from the window, and yet another curio cabinet. God do I hate describing houses. Hayden looked in awe, as the small looking house from the outside, revealed something completely different. He swallowed hard, and rubbed his eyes as they were being attacked with dust. “I know what I can do!” He said before pulling two pokeballs off his belt. Dropping them to the ground, a burst of light exposed two new Pokémon. One was a stupid looking yellow sheep, and the other was the typical OMG KID BIRD! As soon as these two Pokémon were released, a pungit smell became noticeable. It seemed you weren’t alone in this house, as a pair of Koffing emerged from one of the upper level rooms, and drifted its way down to the lower level. Hayden grabbed his nose, and began to speak before laughing at how funny he sounded. Typical little kid stuff. These Koffing weren’t just smelly they were pissed. Becareful as I hear their farts can ignite! Level 7 -- Level 4 -- Level 5 ![]() versus Level 7 -- Level 7 ![]() |

Hayden looked at Rosella as if she was being ridiculous. “Sure!” His expression immediately changed into one of total seriousness and Rosella almost laughed at his expression. It was just so… funny. Anyway, the two cautiously approached the front door of the house, with Hayden leading the way in front of Rosella. Jacelyn clung onto her trainer’s shoulder, and Rosella wondered if the worm Pokémon was asleep. Suddenly, the little blonde haired boy broke into a sprint and hurried for the door before Rosella could stop him. He turned the gold handle (which looked as though someone had been chewing on it) and pulled. The door rocked slightly before falling backwards into the house, causing the entire structure to shake and dust to fly in all directions. “Wha –” Rosella was beyond spooked. This was just like a scene from the kiddy movie ‘Rachel and Cindy in the Warehouse’, where a Charmander and a Shroomish ventured into an abandoned warehouse to find their lost Turtwig friend. In the end, the entire house collapsed and the three Pokémon were never found again. Her mother always said that the movie was trying to tell kids to not run off on their own into old houses. And look what she was doing now! Hayden walked into the house and looked around before beckoning for Rosella to follow suit. She nodded and stepped into the house as well. The house was barely lit, and Rosella could barely see her surroundings in the darkness. Squinting, she noticed a small room on her right that had a random electric piano, some old rotten furniture and a curio cabinet that looked like something from the antique store back in Olivine City. Rosella looked straight ahead at the small hallway in front of her. The stairway was situated just next to it, and (unsurprisingly) had no railings. Rosella craned her neck and was easily able to make out a few rooms on the second floor. There was something that looked oddly like a balcony, and maybe a bathroom. A few closed doors were upstairs as well, but Rosella couldn’t be sure because it was just so… dark. The right side of the second floor was sadly blocked from view. The blonde-haired girl turned her attention back to the first floor. There was a small dining table and some chairs (or what seemed to be left of it), and some weird drapes that hung from the window. Another curio cabinet sat in the corner of the house. Dust particles floated around like little bunnies in the meadow. Hayden, who stood right next to Rosella, looked around in wonder. He gulped and rubbed his eyes, trying to get the dust out. Just then, it was as if a giant light-bulb appeared on the top of his head. “I know what I can do!” He pulled two Pokéballs off his belt and dropped them to the ground. A burst of bright white light and two scarred eyeballs later, two Pokémon were revealed. One was this yellow sheep... thing, and the other was a little bird. Typical kid Pokémon. A pungent smell started creeping upon the two trainers, but Rosella didn’t quite notice. Yet. “Is that a Mareep? And a Pidgey?” Rosella knelt down to take a closer look at the two Pokémon. But seriously, the kid had some seriously wicked Pokémon compared to her. Jacelyn wriggled down her trainer’s shoulder and arm and hopped onto the floor to greet the two Pokémon. Their little meet-and-greet got cut short, however, as two Koffing emerged from one of the upstairs rooms and slowly drifted their way down to the lower level. Rosella covered her nose, while Hayden grabbed his and tried speaking. All that came out was some weird constipated-like sounds, which made the latter laugh-out-loud. Rosella shook her head in defeat and looked at the pair of Koffing, who had already reached the first floor and looked extremely pissed off. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to come here after all... “Hayden, you handle the Koffing on the left while I take on the one on the right!” Rosella whispered, as the two Koffing silently approached the two. “Jacelyn! Tackle! Let’s go!” This was going to be a really smelly battle. |

And a hard one for that matter. [ Teh Battle ] Jacelyn nodded before charging at the Koffing, who also making eye contact with Caterpie charged..err floated really aggressively towards your bug. This was going to be one odd matchup for the ages. An explosive smelly balloon versus a worm. Koffing would get some height on the way over, plotting something against your little worm. Finally getting some height over it, the poison gas Pokémon flew straight down almost wanting to stomp the bug. Jacelyn threw itself upwards at the Koffing and the two collided, Caterpie bouncing off of Koffing, and as a result of the tackle, Koffing bouncing the opposite direction. Hayden watched the results and was actually impressed. Still holding his nose he looked down and ordered something….not really sure what it was since his voice was all nasily but he did laugh after the orders, only to look at you….not laughing and quickly stopped. Cause laughing when someone isn’t, isn’t cool. Pidgey lifted off the ground, and began flapping its wings. The nearby dust, dirt and grime began to pick up to form an attack. At first it looked like it knew Sandstorm the way it was controlling the air. However that was simply because it was using its wings to blow the air around in a very dirty, and tight space. Mareep ran forward and threw its body weight into it, and slammed into Koffing which sent the little creature flying towards a nearby wall hitting it. It seems that you have this match taken care of, however the worst is yet to come. The two Koffing floated back down, a bit sore than the last time, and 10 tiems more pissed. Without even talking to each other clouds of filth and gas came out of them. Following that, each gassy Pokémon came close and sprayed each poke with a cloud of poison gas. Luckily because of the dust, the spray only hit Mareep. No one cares about that thing. “Oh NO MAREEEEP!” he said as he got close to the Pokémon now with his shirt over his mouth and nose. Someone should tell little kids not to touch things with Poison Gas all over them. Jacelyn nodded slightly and charged straight at the Koffing, who promptly responded by charging right at Jacelyn as well. Wait. No, it floated real quickly towards the Caterpie. Yeah. Because Koffings can’t charge right? The two Pokémon met head-to-head and both bounced off each other. Ouch. Hayden watched silently, still holding his nose. Rosella thought she heard him say something, but she couldn’t be sure; what with his voice becoming nasal and all that. What she did hear, however, was him laughing. The little kid turned towards Rosella, who shot him a glare. The laughing ceased immediately. Hayden’s Pidgey flew up, causing a tornado look-alike made of dust and dirt. It looked oddly like a Sandstorm, but Rosella wasn’t really paying attention. Meanwhile, Mareep threw its body weight onto the other Koffing, sending him soaring across the room towards a nearby wall. The battle seemed over for that Koffing, but sadly, it was just the beginning. The two Koffing, now reunited, emitted weird cries that sounded as if they wanted to strangle something. But of course, that was impossible, seeing as how Koffing have no hands whatsoever. The pair rose up into the air and sprayed the battlefield with a cloud of purple gas. Poison gas, to be exact. The gas surrounded the three Pokémon, but by a sheer stroke of luck, the Sandstorm/Dust Tornado that Pidgey was controlling managed to deflect the attack from itself. Thank goodness Jacelyn was right below it. Mareep, however, wasn’t so lucky. The purple gas hit the sheep straight-on. “Oh NO MAREEEEP!” Hayden yelled, pulling his shirt over his mouth and nose as he ran up to his Pokémon. Rosella facepalmed. If she had to deal with a poisoned kid while trying to find said kid’s brother, she would seriously faint. “Hayden! Let go of Mareep before something happens to you too!” she cried. They needed a whole new strategy, and fast. Jacelyn looked like she could only take one more hit, and with Mareep probably Turning back to the approaching Koffing, Rosella caught Jacelyn’s attention. “Jacelyn! Use String Shot and wrap the two Koffing from head-to-toe! And if they attack, try your best to dodge!” Rosella said, crossing her fingers behind her back, hoping that the Koffing wouldn’t try to deal her Pokémon a direct blow. Coughing, and not the good kind of “im sick” coughing started coming out of Hayden. No, it was the “im a dumb stupid kid, who walked into a giant poison gas” cloud kind of coughing. Going into his bag he studdered around without looking and grabbed what seemed to be some kind of water bottle. Opening the cap he poured the water on his face, all while making the loudest blood curdling scream. His Pokémon looked on helplessly as Hayden was in a large amount of pain. Mareep who was holding it together, didn’t show that it was slowly getting more poisoned. “Pidgey, blow the gas away!” he called out rubbing his eyes continuously. The small bird took flight again and started blowing the gas into the other direction until it disappeared. At the same time, Jacelyn shot out a String Shot which attached itself to your Koffing. The other Koffing tried to go after you but just as you planned it used dodge, still having the String Shot connected. The sticky substance connected with the other Koffing and slowed it down. Continuing to run around the two the small little worm used all it possibly could to try its best to tie these two up. In fact he used it three times…exhausting the poor little guy. The koffing huffed and puffed and released what they could through the remaining breathing holes to breath but the harder they tried, the more frustrated and more they failed. It was Hayden’s turn to start breathing hard now. The more upset he got the quicker his heart rate picked up which would make the poison flow through at a faster rate. His face went from cute little kid to an anger-possessed hellspawn, as he would call out his next command. “Mareep, send out an electric energy ball. Actually do it twice!” he said before his electric poisoned sheep turned back almost saying “are you stupid?” “I said DO IT NOW!” he said before more hellacious coughing came out. Sparks came from the tail of the sheep before releasing and hitting the two poison spewing Pokémon.
