Non-Weekly Quote:
(Updated when the fancy strikes us)
"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

The buffet was indeed epicellent, but didn't quite serve to waste the rest of the ride. Which was weird, because no matter how long or short of a timespan you actually spent at the buffet, you still emerged back on the upper deck maybe fifteen minutes from docking, the area close to deserted as most people went back to their rooms for final preparations. Other than a couple whispering sweet nothings in each other's ears in one corner of the deck, a couple kids excitedly citygazing from the foremost part of the deck, and the dude inspecting you while leaning up against a guardrail, hands in pockets, without a care in the world.

Noticing that he'd caught your eye, he pushed off haphazardly, sauntering over with a half-grin. As he approached, you could better see his appearance; half open shirt, white hair pulled back in a ponytail, and his only - but very obvious - accessory being a cross that hung from a surprisingly long chain around his neck. An interesting combination for an interesting man, given that he didn't actually look religious in the least. Then he opened his mouth, and dispelled all doubt. "'Ey, man. [BADWORDS] this boat, seriously. Been on this damn thing too bloody long. Should've flown, but this was cheaper, and like an idiot I went for the cheapo route. There's probably a lesson somewhere in there."

He shrugged, half-smile widening into a full one. "Not that I care about that, though. Fortune favors me! You're a..." he appraised you again, neutrally "...Pokémon trainer, correct? If the Pokeball is any indication. Up for some light sparring before we disembark? Nothing serious, probably good if we end the battle before either party faints, but it's too damn boring just waiting to disembark this damn tub. Name's Enrique, novice Pokémon trainer extraordinaire! Well, I guess it'd really be more... average, what with the glut of newbies wandering around these days. So, you in?"
