Non-Weekly Quote:
(Updated when the fancy strikes us)
"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

Welcome To Ayer

The large sign greeted you as you docked by the shore of the town. You could smell the sea air, fresh and clean. It seemed to wash away all of your troubles, as if coming to Tohea was a symbolic rebirth! People milled about around the beach, but with the weather getting colder, less and less people were swimming. The leaves had begun to change slightly, and so to had the attitude of the town.

Shops put away their summer gear and displayed new winter stocks, mittens, hats, and boots for all species! Along with the rumble of the ocean, there was a slight chill in the air.

A sailor ushered you off of the boat, and as soon as you'd stepped off, you'd officially taken your first steps into Tohea. A whole new land, how would it all play out for you? Would you relish the opportunity, or would you squander it? In Ayer, the dreams and passions of new trainers mingled with that never-ending sea. How would your Journey play out?

At the edge of the dock, you saw something strange. A small Poliwag was struggling against an equally strong Wingull. Flapping against the breeze, the bird-Pokémon was swooping in and out, trying to peck at the water-type, who bounced around, trying to deflect the attacks.

Lex saw the large sign has he took his first step on the wooden dock. It read "Ayer, City of Rebirth" (OOC: Inform me if that is taking to much control), as it flashed red and yellow, welcoming all of the new comers. The dock creaked loudly each step Lex took upon the rickety old thing. The air from the sea was being blown in by the breeze. It felt good on the skin and was great for the lungs too. Lex took a deep breath through his nostrils, and followed by letting the Carbon Dioxide flow out from his mouth. The air was chilly with the declining climate. Lex could notice that the leaves weren't very green anymore. Autumn began to march its army on Tohea as the season changed to Fall.

Ritzer wasn't far behind Lex. He was astounded by the plethora of sites to see and a variety of odors in the air. He'd never been on a boat before or traveled much to be honest; Lex only recently captured the little guy, and he had already been taken to a new world. The world of Tohea, where anything was possible. Ritzer quickly caught up to Lex's leg before he tripped and began to roll forward until he slammed into a loose board. "Woah! Ritzer, wait up!" Lex said as he chased after the rolling ball. Lex, while only recently capturing the Seedot, had already began to act motherly for it. He developed much care for the little guy in the small time they'd been together. He caught to the Seedot and picked it up. He rubbed its head where it jammed into the loose board. "Are you okay Ritzer? The bump doesn't look too bad... be more careful next time." Lex said as he placed the Seedot back onto the dock.

Ritzer would begin to run forward again when both he and Lex saw the brawl going on at the end of the dock. It seemed the Poliwag was taking a beating from the Wingull. It slightly pained Lex to see this happen, but he remember that neither of the Pokémon were his. "Ritzer, should we help the Poliwag?" Lex asked his comrade, but it was already too late. Ritzer was charging toard the battle. He intended on tackling (Universal Physical Attack) the Wingull as it would swoop down at the Poliwag.

A pleasantly crisp breeze, a clear autumn day by the ocean... what could be better? Well, hopefully you thought it was a good day for a battle, because that's what your Seedot seemed set on doing! He tripped again as he was charging in towards the battle taking place at the end of the pier, giving you a moment's worry.

However, you worry was for naught, as his momentum increased as the hard little round Pokémon rolled along the pier, bouncing up on a crooked board and knocking the Wingull right out of the air! Hooray! The somewhat confused Poliwag looked around, blinking bemusedly, then took the opportunity to go hide behind one of the dock posts, waiting to see what would happen. He wasn't sure whether the newcomer had missed him by accident or on purpose, after all! Maybe EVERYTHING was out to get him!

The Wingull didn't waste time wondering who was on whose side. That little seed had hurt him! Therefore it must be hurt back! Flopping awkwardly around, it wriggled out from under Ritzer, Growling as menacingly as it could. Wobbling as it pulled free, it tried to shoot a Water Gun at Ritzer and missed as the Seedot started rolling around, trying to regain its' feet. A second, more carefully aimed Water Gun struck home though, sending Ritzer rolling back down the pier, bumping up alongside a pile of coiled rope. Luckily for him, that gave him the leverage he needed to get back up on his feet, ready to go into battle again! Maybe you ought to give him some direction before he accidentally charged himself off the pier? Or maybe not, he's not doing too badly for himself yet.
