Only two minutes left, I'm so nervous! I can't believe I am actually going on my own journey, just Seno and I. The two of us will explore the crap out of this region! I wonder what it will be like...According to Aunt Leigh, Tohea is a beautiful region full of all kinds of Pokémon you don't normally see at home. Especially in Celadon! It's a surprise just exactly how dead Celadon can get when trainers are not battling our fearless leader. For having a huge department store, game corner, and league gym, it kind of sucks. I didn't really like anyone over there...well...more like I didn't become friends with anyone there...just Seno. But Seno's always been there for me!

Joel looked down at his beloved water turtle and smiled. Always has, and most likely always will. That's why I can count on him for anything. He's never let me down...I kind of believe he's afraid to let me down, ever since I saved his life. I feel like he may believe he owes me every single minute of his life. Note to self, do not allow Seno to give up his entire life trying to please me. I love him to death, I could not bear disallowing him to live his life.

Ding! This is the captain speaking, we are now arriving to Ayer, Tohea. Please do not all at once attempt to leave the ship, otherwise some of you may find yourselves going in for a dip. Ha-ah-ha! Anyway, enjoy your stay and be safe!

With the captain's farewell, the two boys headed off the ship with high hopes. With large smiles on both of their faces, they started to walk around aimlessly. Eventually Joel remembered that he had to stop by his Aunt's house to drop off his luggage, get situated, and say hello! Yet, he kind of did not know exactly where she lived, only the address. So here starts their first adventure! Find Aunt Leigh's home! The two started to walk in a direction they believed her home to be, which ended up not being the right way. Since, the numbers were completely off, and well, he had high doubts she would live in such a...ugly-ish area. His aunt was very sophisticated, and high mannered. He could imagine her attempting to brush off the dirt around her with her $100 handkerchief. He even doubted that she would even step foot in this area of the large city.

After asking about 3 strangers, who most likely now know the address to his aunts house, he finally arrived. He rang the doorbell, then looked down at Seno and smiled as they waited. A minute or so later, a beautiful woman approached the door and opened it. Her face lit up with happiness as she swung open the door, said his name and gave him a huge hug. After catching up with his aunt, and unpacking all of his stuff in his new room, he decided to start his adventure as a Pokémon trainer. Joel made a promise to his aunt that he would stop by here and there and say hi, and that she could be proud of him for becoming a better trainer every time she sees him. With a few waves goodbye, a backpack secured tightly, and his trusty Squirtle, he was on his way for a new beginning.

Wanting something fun and exciting right off the bat, he decided he would look for a Pokémon to battle. He mostly preferred a wild Pokémon, hoping that maybe he would want the Pokémon he would fight. And possibly add it to his team. Though he did have a specific set of Pokémon he wanted. He had a whole strategy planned out in his head after watching Erica destroy trainer after trainer. He needed strengths and weaknesses in every corner, and had to cover every zone. Plus, if they were not cute, they did not stand much of a chance for being on his team.

With one single thought in his mind, Joel found himself walking around the shoreline. Looking in grassy areas on one side, and swimming Pokémon on the other. He ignored the Pokémon that seemed useless, and only kept a lookout for interesting Pokémon. The boy pondered exactly what Pokémon he would find, and how his first battle in Tohea would play out. If he wanted to become a gym trainer, he would need to strengthen up Seno!

Well, you were certainly in the right place - far enough away from the docks to avoid the stench of burnt oil and the rhythmic pulsing of machinery, the shoreline positively vibrated with life, human and local. You obviously weren't the first person to come here to train; there were trainers engaged in battles with each other or with wild Pokémon, people swimming, even just little kids chasing each other around, dancing around or with wild Pokémon. Life bloomed everywhere you looked, a massive cacophony of sight and sound, a chaotic maelstrom of frenetic activity. Bursts of light as Embers and Solar Beams and every other kind of beam went off, Wingulls dive-bombing trainers - and hot dog stands! - and amongst it all, the tide moved in and out relentlessly, waves crashing down on the beach, the water receding, and coming back in once more.

Still, there was plenty of room to find your own little haven amongst the activity. Trainers who didn't seem to be doing a whole lot, just lying on the sand staring up at the cloudless sky with their Pokémon or halfheartedly training alone, occasionally furtively glancing at the trainers already engaged in Pokémon battles. Wild Pokémon, too, were far from all accounted for - a Krabby was looking at you suspiciously from a few meters away, what appeared to be a pair of torn pink panties hanging off one grossly oversized pincer - what. - as it swayed slightly in the wind, and a nearby Slowpoke seemed blissfully unaware of everything around it, occasionally tripping a passing trainer.

Still, he was having the time of his life - or fast asleep, the difference was subtle - and there were bigger fish to fry, literally and figuratively. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of unattended Pokémon in the general vicinity, and it was hard to zero in on those much further than a dozen or so meters away given the massive number of trainers and assorted action going around, but a Chinchou was also flopping uselessly around, being circled by a curious Marill.

As Joel made his way across the shoreline, he stopped in awe. He enjoyed beaches more than any other location. He did not know why, but for some reason beaches are like strong gravity for him. They always somehow pull him in, and he usually ends up wasting the day away just sitting on the hot sand, running his fingers through the little grains. But he could not allow himself to be sucked away in this amazing place, he was there for a reason, and was going to accomplish his current goal. He continued to walk, but found himself stopping, as he stared at a random Solar Beam erupting out of a Pokémon's mouth hitting an opposing Pokémon.

"Whoah."

The boy looked down at Seno, hoping one day his Squirtle will be the one shooting huge water blasts at their foes. Seno looked up at him and then smiled. It was clear that his Pokémon knew exactly what he was thinking, and could not wait either. What they could accomplish with such strength, and a decent strategy. Speaking of strength, he noticed a little crab Pokémon staring at him. He wasn't sure if he wanted to battle just that Pokémon. In reality he would like to take all of the Pokémon on and be able to survive, but he eventually decided he should pace himself, and maybe go one at a time. As he continued to walk near Krabby, he decided to pass up on battling it. Not today. He then noticed two cute little Pokémon next to each other, one a Marill, and the other he believed to be called "Chinchou" but he wasn't exactly sure. After pulling out a Pokémon magazine, and searching for information on any of the Pokémon, he smiled to himself for being right on knowing what they were and continued on his way. He really wanted the two little Pokémon, but they seemed a little weak. And to top it all off, Joel already had an amazing water Pokémon. Marill would probably be the best companion to Squirtle, but maybe he'll come back another time and try to catch one. Joel was looking for a stronger Pokémon, one to possibly beat, and maybe catch.

Joel was on his merry way until he found himself being one of the idiots who tripped over a Slowpoke. After face planting into the pathway made out of cement, he slowly got up with a couple scratches and maybe a bruise. He then noticed that there was literally a ton of sand not even a feet away on either side of the cemented area. Just his luck. After cleaning himself up, he noticed Slowpoke somewhat staring him down. Was the little thing mad at him or something? It wasn't Joel's fault that he tripped over a random thing just standing in the same place, never moving. He was sure many people did it! It almost seemed as if Slowpoke wanted a fight, and if the Pokémon seemed like it wanted it, then Joel wanted it too.
"Seno." His water turtle gave Joel its full attention. Already knowing what Joel was going to say, and already had prepared itself.

The boy thought of a quick strategy against this slow Pokémon. He could attempt to just drag down the Pokémon's attack and then eventually just attack it over and over, or he could just start attacking it without lowering its attack. Or just wear it out by making it move a lot. Joel was pretty sure Slowpoke's barely had that much energy for moving around, so maybe this battle might be a little easier than he imagined. Considering that it was a little stronger, made Joel feel uneasy. He eventually thought of a strategy and called it out to Seno with a sense of victory in his tongue. Hopefully.

"Seno, I want you to use Tail Whip on the little pink Pokémon. After using a growl, I want you to attempt to dodge whatever that Pokémon throws at you. You are much faster than it is, so it shouldn't be too hard. After possibly dodging its attack, I want you to sneak in with a Tackle attack! Try to get it from the back, don't let it see you! I'm counting on you buddy, I know you can do this!"

Seno nodded with confirmation, and gave Joel that "I'll try my hardest" look. Joel noticed it and nodded his head with a large smile on his face. As Joel was smiling, his eyes centered in on the little flopping Pokémon. The electric/water type seemed so useful and cute. Joel wanted it. He decided that maybe he would have Seno use a tackle attack on it, he really wanted it!
"Seno, I want you to use a Tackle attack whenever you can, mostly after you attack Slowpoke, while he's getting up. Use the inertia from already tackling Slowpoke or Chinchou to hit the other one with a tackle. I'm counting on you buddy! Get us some new friends!"

Not even a full day in and they were already battling. He was surely on his way to accomplishing his goals in Tohea. Seno stretched out before the battle started, and then started Joel's battle strategy. The young man then proceeded to watch as the events started to unfold.

[Basically Seno is using Tail Whip and Tackle on Slowpoke, and Tackle on Chinchou. <3 Don't judge my post! /fail]

As you and your Pokemon devised your strategy, it seemed that you were not alone. No sooner had Seno launched itself at the wild Slowpoke, growling, and then Chinchou, than another Pokemon came hurtling out of nowhere, a flash of red and yellow feathers. Colliding on either side of the electric angler fish, a discharge of energy radiated outward from the unconscious Pokemon as it flopped onto its back, the other trainer's Torchic mounting the body with a defiant glare at your turtle Pokemon. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" shouted a younger girl, looking around the age of seventeen, as she approached the scene. "I saw it first! Why are you attacking my wild Pokemon?" Her voice continued to rise as she pulled out a Pokeball and held it in her hand - whether it was empty, to catch the KO'd Chinchou, or possessed another Pokemon for battle seemed unclear as she was more distracted chewing you out. "Don't you know anything? You can't just walk around the beach attacking Pokemon willy nilly!"

"You're not the only one out here, you know," she challenged, gesturing to the literally DOZENS of other trainers up and down the beach, all of them engaged in smaller battles of their own or with wild Pokemon. The beach was teeming with life - but it looked like you should've taken a number first. "Now get back and leave my Chinchou alone," she growled possessively, dropping the Pokeball and capturing the electric fish without the ball even shaking. It must have been one heck of a weak Pokemon to go down so easily. "Or are you looking for a real battle?" she sneered, clearly threatening to attack you with her feathery chick partner. It looked new, but possibly stronger than your Squirtle - it was really difficult to tell.

Of course, in all the commotion, other trainers had turned to give you dirty looks as they heard what was going on, although none intervened. All the attention and distraction had apparently been enough to keep Seno from remembering about it's other target, who was sitting blissfully unaware, blowing bubbles into the air. It hadn't even felt a thing.

Joel watched as some woman just walked up to him and snatched the Pokémon that Seno just attacked. Was she serious? Joel wanted that cute little Pokémon, but he figured he should have looked around before any other trainers were around. Yet he did not understand why the woman just walked up and caught it. Joel did do damage to the Pokémon as well, so he should at least get some form of experience for damaging the little Pokémon. Although he did feel somewhat bad, he wanted that Pokémon, and some little miss priss took it from him.

"I wasn't aware that you can "call" Pokémon when you see another trainer battling it. Besides, I did about the exact same amount of damage to it as you, so I do not see why you caught it. At least give me something in return, you basically took half of my gains! Also, I really am not in the mood to battle you, as you can see, I'm currently attempting to catch me a Slowpoke! Maybe after?"

After removing his attention from the Chinchou incident, he focused on Seno and Slowpoke. He figured he'd go all out with this round and shoot for the gold.
"Seno, let's make a new friend! Let's go with the same strategy for now. Use a Tail Whip attack, and then follow it up with a Tackle and then another Tackle! Let's finish up this battle, so we can deal with her, over there..." Joel slightly motioned over to the woman, whispering the last bit so that she would hopefully not hear. Seno smirked slightly and looked at her for a couple seconds. She kind of made him a little turtle in heat, but he won't go deeper into that! BAD SQUIRTLE!

Seno proceeded to go by Joel's orders, and start off with the growl attack. Joel continued to watch as the events unfolded, making sure no other trainer was going to shove their nose in his business this time! He wanted this Pokémon! After Squirtle would perform his attacks, Joel will throw a Pokeball at the Pokémon in hopes of capturing it. That is if the Pokémon was weak enough and possibly fainted.

Still, he wished that he could've kept the little Chinchou...maybe he would look for another one in the future?

Glowering at you as you decided to argue the case, the petulant trainer adjusted her bathing one-piece and gave you a decidedly displeased look. "What do you mean, 'CALL' a Pokemon? I saw it first! My Torchic was already running over here, you little..." she trailed off, looking away as she gathered her fury and bottled it up in a little bottle very, very, very deep inside. Like, this incident put her on a path that would one day lead to her going postal, and afterward, when she was bleeding out on the floor of whatever her place of employment was after being gunned down by the authorities... Dying alongside the piles of corpses she had just created when she snapped and ended their lives, she would look back. She would delve into the depths of her memory, and deep - deep past everything else she'd repressed, she would see this moment. This instant. And she would know that this is what caused so many people misery and pain, what had caused her to live her life as though each new day was a miasma of torment and misery. This moment.

You.

Clearly having tuned you out, she ignored you entirely as you demanded that she repay you for wronging her. "Whatever," she said, shrugging her shoulder and turning to head up the beach. "Come on, Torchic. Let's go find some other Pokemon for some new jerk to try to steal." Flipping her short brown hair, she pursed her lips as she walked away, the little feathered Pokemon hopping after her across the sand. But that wasn't all - it looked like she'd dropped something as she left: a little mottled blue sphere. Dive ball aside, your Squirtle was setting itself to the task of whipping its tail around in the air ...which... didn't really do anything, but somehow managed to reduce the oblivious Slowpoke's defense levels.

Not even blinking, the pink Pokemon stared into space, possibly counting sheep, or grains of sand. Hopefully not the latter, as that would take ...millennia. Slamming into the water type two more times, Seno built up a good deal of momentum before launching each tackle attack, shoving the part-psychic type through the sand with the force of each impact. With the second tackle, it actually hit with enough force to flip the Slowpoke over, spinning head-over-tail for a moment through the air before landing with a distinct *thump* in a dune a few feet away, upside down. The Slowpoke still didn't react, yawning tiredly before laying its head onto the sand to take a nap, underside exposed to the heavens. Or maybe it was unconscious.

Joel watched the crazed woman rant on and on. He was starting to really become annoyed with her presence around him. Yes, Chinchou was pretty beast, but a low leveled one was definitely not worth what this whore was putting Joel through. Though, a Dive ball was definitely worth listening to her butt. As she walked away, Joel bent over and picked it up, quickly storing it in his bag. He smiled mischievously and kind of wanted to shove it in her face, but decided against it for his own good. He did not want some crazy slut possibly tackling him and grabbing it out of his hands.

Joel then proceeded to move his attention elsewhere, as the woman disappeared. He saw Seno finish up his strategy and wondered if the pink Pokémon were dead or just unconscious. Joel then did what any normal trainer would do. He pulled out a small ball from his backpack, pressed the button to expand it and chucked it at the little part psychic type. The little ball hit the Pokémon square in the face while it lay on the ground. Joel felt a little bad for the small Pokémon. He seemed so abusive and uncaring. First he slams a Poke ball into its face, and then proceeds to ignore the fact that the Pokémon has feelings, which will probably be shown in a couple minutes...since this Pokémon loves to take its time.

One shake, two shakes, three shakes! Caught! Joel watched as he officially added a new member to his team. Seno now had a friend, and Joel now had a second Pokémon...which will come in handy one day...hopefully. The young man picked up the Pokeball that his Slowpoke was in and thought to himself. After some serious brainstorming, he finally came up with his Pokémon's name.
"I'm gonna name you Opoh! Do you like that name for Slowpoke, Seno?" Seno nodded his head with approval. The two smiled greatly and decided to leave the current area they were in.

Joel and Seno then went on a walk for another area, hoping to find more of a grassy environment. Eventually they found one, and proceeded to look for more Pokémon. Joel was in the mood for battling any wild Pokémon, and possibly catching them for his team. He just hoped something good would appear next. They would continue to walk around until something popped up. If it were any form of rat Pokémon, he would ignore it greatly and just move on to the next Pokémon!

So it looked like you were off to a good start. You'd only made one enemy, and she seemed more spoiled-brat-type than actually wronged by you. Still, it might be a good idea to avoid that particular trainer for a while, especially if she returned with a big bruiser of a boyfriend. Your Seno was still in excellent shape, a little worn from the battle, but quite ready and raring to go.

Leaving the beach, you started crossing through the streets of Ayer, heading inland. It was a plesant day, and there were lots of people wandering around. Many of them were heading towards a large downtown park, and it wasn't long before you were stepping onto the grass from the pavement. The polished dome of the nearest Pokémon Centre was visible past the west side of the park, if you wanted to get your Slowpoke healed up. Maybe introduce him to his new name, Opoh. Has a nice ring to it, really.

But at the moment, you're here looking for Pokémon. There are various trainers scattered throughout the park, some hunting for wild Pokémon, some engaging in battles, or just playing with their Pokémon. Not counting the handful of Pokémon playing fetch-the-frisbee with their trainers, there were a few wild ones around. A pair of Spearow were up in a tree to your left, squabbling over a stolen piece of pizza crust. Moving along through the bushes lining the path was a rustling sound, glimpses of brown fur showing though the leaves. A slightly closer inspection showed it to be a Zigzagoon, looking for worms or bugs to chew on for breakfast. Or lunch, as the case may be. None of them seem the least bit interested in you at the moment. The Zigzagoon is obviously closer, but if Seno can reach into the trees with his attacks, that shouldn't be a problem.

Joel made his way around the city, looking for some type of good or strong Pokémon to fight. He tended to ignore most Pokémon that did not fit his capturing quota, or ones that would barely give his Pokémon a level up. He decided for now, that it would probably be best if he went to the Pokémon Center and healed up his Pokémon, just in case he would fight a stronger wild Pokémon in the near future. Joel sighed at the ugly Spearow, but raised a sole eyebrow at the Zigzagoon. It was pretty damn cute, but he had no interest in it. He pondered just catching it for the heck of it, but figured it would be a waste of a Pokeball and possibly time.

As Joel started to leave, Seno tugged on his tank top and motioned over to the cute Pokémon. It seemed as if Seno wanted to battle it. He could not believe he wanted another battle so quickly. After thinking for awhile about it, he decided that he would let Seno rest for a little bit, and if the Pokémon tried to run away he would have Seno charge at it. As Seno was resting, Joel patted the little turtle's back and congratulated him on doing so well in their first Tohean battle. After Seno was fully rested, he decided to bring out the big guns...more like Seno bringing out the big guns.

"Seno, I want you to attack the Zigzagoon only. The two Spearow are way to far right now for you to hit them with your attacks. I want you to quickly use a Tail Whip on the unsuspecting Zigzagoon. Then follow that up with a Tackle. Make sure you catch the Pokémon off guard! After that, use another Tackle! Let's finish this battle quick buddy, so we can go heal up you and Opoh and spend some time with him!"

Joel knew he could count on his Squirtle, but started to wonder if he was in the wrong area. There were a lot of weak Pokémon around them, almost every other one of the wild Pokémon there were way below his Seno's level. They were even below his newly acquired Pokémon's level. Maybe he will look in a different area when the they come back from healing them. But for right now, Joel was interested in battling the little Pokémon, then heading to the center to heal Seno and Opoh up. Then after that, he would like spend at least a few minutes with both of his Pokémon. After barely getting the jist of Opoh, besides a complete idiot...

[So I'm sorry if the post doesn't make sense. I fell asleep a ton times while wring it and this!
Joel is basically using Tail Whip and two tackles on Zigzagoon. Then maybe if the battle is over in one round, he'll head over to the Pokémon Center.]

Seno carefully paced itself as he was going towards the little raccoon looking fellow. In reality, the thing wasn’t even paying attention to you, probably cutting its wrists, while listening to some Good Charolette and bumming off its parents for food and money. Anyways, once finally next to the Zigzagoon, Seno began to cleverly pull off a Tail Whip. Spinning around with its tail all Ms. America like, acting like one of those plastic bags caught in a upstream gust of air, it began to dance along with the little Squirtle. As Seno did this odd little dance, Zigzagoon began to take notice. Going back to finding food, Seno stopped and ninja flipped behind the creature. Okay it wasn’t a ninja flip, but more of a side step.

See Zigzagoon turned his back on Seno, and like a fool would pay the consequences. Waiting a few second before striking, the little turtle thrusted like a dirty hooker, and slammed into the Zigzagoon causing the opponent to tumble in a sideways onto its back. Before the Zigzagoon could turn back over, Seno was already on top of the creature giving it a dose of another tackle .

You could tell the second blow did some damage as the creature’s body was pointing in two directions. The blow must have ruptured something, or maybe the creature was just super fragile like one of those uber sick kids with no immune systems, I don’t know. What I do know is, Seno was pumped from the action backed up a bit awaiting your next orders, and to see if the Zigzagoon would get up. Of course it wasn’t going to as it was KO’d.

However, there was some other problems to attend to. As you finished the battle a girl came up behind you. She stood about 4’3’’ and had to be about 10 – 12 yrs old. She looked up at you and just stared. Slowly words began to come out of her mouth and they were ones you probably didn’t want to hear. “Why did you kill that creature mister? Are you going to take it with you and make it all better, are you, are you mister?” Now you could probably just ignore her and carry on your way to the Pokémon center, which is what you were doing, but you could be the nice person and answer her. OR punt her in the face.

I like the latter.

[Btw, that was hilarious!]

Joel watched as Seno started to somewhat dance as he inconspicuously tail whipped the emo Pokémon. After watching the oddity, Seno faithfully side stepped and got away from the normal type's view. It was somewhat funny to watch. More so kind of hilarious. It looked like Seno thought he was a ninja, and attempted to be sneaky, but was somewhat failing hardcore. But surprisingly, the normal type sat there oblivious to the situation, and had no idea of what was going to come of it. That was until Seno unleashed his beast attacks. More like a double unsuspecting tackle.

The Zigzagoon was down and out. It honestly looked like it was not coming back up anytime soon, so now would be the perfect time to catch it if he really wanted to. Though he was not too sure on catching it. He was more so battling it for the experience. Though, it was pretty damn cute, for being such a fail. But that would be the only reason he would catch it...because it was cute. Joel was about to put his final decision on catching it or not, until a little innocent girl walked up to him. He felt horrible after she asked him why he killed the Pokémon. He did not necessarily kill it, the Pokémon would wake up eventually...maybe one day...possibly. Not. Who knew?! Anyway, Joel had to think of something fast. He definitely thought about saying yes and capturing it, but he had to think of a better idea and fast.

After brainstorming for less than a minute, Joel figured out something. What if he just let the little girl catch/have the Pokémon? She would have a new cute Pokémon for her age, a Pokémon that would not leave her side and could possibly watch over and protect her one day.
"I'm actually heading to the Pokémon Center right now little one. But I have an idea...how about you come with me, and get this Zigzagoon healed up? And in return, I'll let you keep him! If you don't have a Pokeball, I'm sure the nurse will give you one so that he does not freak out when he awakes. What do you say? Want an adorable Pokémon?"

As Joel tried to play into Zigzagoon's cuteness, he found himself wanting it more and more. Though he told himself he would not capture it. He was running out of balls and fast, he only had two left! Seno watched carefully, as he was slowly becoming more and more tired as the battles continued. Depending on whatever answer the girl gave, could somewhat interfere with what they wanted to do next. He seriously hoped she had an extra Pokeball, and agreed to take the little raccoon Pokémon with both Seno and him. If she did not want to do it, Joel would walk down to the center and heal up the Pokémon then release it.

[I apologize for anything that does not make sense, I wrote it while falling asleep haha]

Go by the rule that I tell myself. Two balls is good, and but when you go down to one, the Armstrong rule is in effect, and you have two choices, either dope to get really strong and win an absurd amount, or go fix your condition. (ouch yes im mean, and yes I know that’s a stab at cancer). Anyways… the little girl smiled and nodded. She pulled out a pokeball from under her shirt and gently dropped the ball silver button down and watched the Zigzagoon become captured. Smiling at the capture she laughed a little as she looked back up at you. “That makes Pokémon number two! My first one is really strong…” She says before looking around then continuing… “He’s a Mew…shhhh!”

Wait WHAT! How could a little girl have a Legendary God Pokémon. She smiled as she started to walk to the Pokémon Center. As she got farther in front of you, you could see what she was referring to now when she said she had a Mew. The backpack looking thing attached to her, was in shape as the legendary Pokémon. Of course you could be the mean person and put her in her place. What’s the worse that could happen, she battle you? I mean you basically gave her that Pokémon, and already beat the hell out of it. What is she going to use her backpack Mew on you?

As the two of you crossed the park, and made your way to the Pokémon Center the girl started to break out of her shell and talk to you more. “So what’s your name? My name is Ashley, and im 10 yrs old. I want to be a Pokémon trainer, but my daddy wont let me cause he says I don’t know how to battle…and wont let me leave home without him…but he doesn’t want to walk around catching Pokémon, so I need to make friends to let me go around with them and catch stuff… Ya, all that was in one long sentence with many gasps of breaths.

Now entering the Pokémon Center, the little girl stopped and stared at the person to the left of the door looking out a nearby window. A few seconds later she slowly creeped by him as trying not to catch his attention and walked to a nearby free machine, to put the pokeball in. This was your chance to heal up and GTFO without her. Of course you could take her with you…I mean how awesome would that look, you partnering with a random 10 yr old you just met. Who had no friends, and was being controlled by her dad…who probably was the one looking out the window. I’m sure he will take her off your hands…hopefully. Or just run like hell.

edit: DAMNIT ZEE, MEWTWO HASN'T EVEN BEEN CLONED YET.

Joel watched as the little girl happily accepted capturing the Zigzagoon. He was glad that the little Pokémon found a home with such an innocent girl. He knew that she would treat it right, not like those crazy girls who would most likely strangle the crap out of it. The boy found it cute that she referred to her backpack as her own personal Mew. Although he didn't believe it at first, since he doubted a little girl could obtain such a powerful legendary Pokémon.

As they walked towards the Pokémon Center, she kind of just talked about herself the entire time. It was kind of cute. Though she did spike his interest when she referred to the raccoon Pokémon as her second Pokémon. He wondered what her first one could possibly be. It was probably something cute, but weak. Who would give a little girl a scary Pokémon? Though, he figured it was best to not ask, unless he wanted to sit through another breathless paragraph of her speaking.

When she mentioned her want to journey, he felt a little bad because he kind of assumed that she wanted to journey with him. Though Joel could not do that. He was too wrapped up in his own personal goals to be able to focus on anything else. Especially a little girl who would need a lot of attention and being taken care of. He was only 17 years old, and was not ready to be a chaperon for a 10 year old.

When they arrived to the Pokémon Center, they healed up their Pokémon, and made sure that she found her father before saying his goodbyes to his new young friend. After departing the center alone with his completely healed Pokémon, he decided to put his journey back on track. He went straight for the outskirts of Ayer, more specifically near Route 1. Any weak Pokémon he saw he would ignore. He wanted to train or possibly catch a Pokémon that would contribute to his team. He wanted to be a gym leader one day and needed a good team for that.

Joel looked over to his Seno and smiled. Without his little turtle Pokémon, he wouldn't be here. Seno was his loyal cheerleader and warrior. He loved Seno so much and hoped that Seno would help him one day accomplish his goals.
"I love you buddy. Just letting you know that." Joel's smile increased into a larger one, and Seno's eyes went all glittery.

"Squirtle, Squir!"

Seno happily cried out what would be equivalent of 'I love you too,' but in his own Pokémon language. Speaking of Pokémon language, Joel found it ironic that most people cannot communicate with their Pokémon, yet almost all Pokémon can communicate with each other. How can a Pokémon communicate with another Pokémon, if all they say is their name? Technically the only Pokémon that should be able to understand each other, would be the ones within the same species. Otherwise there would be over 400 different Pokémon languages. It was an interesting thought, but Joel decided to not put more effort into it, since it was not like he was going to find the answer to it anytime soon.

Joel and Seno decided to make their way towards the rural areas. The young man felt somewhat bad, for leaving Opoh in his ball, so he decided to let him out. Joel pulled out Opoh's Pokeball and pressed the circular button in the middle. Within seconds the little pink Pokémon was yawning out a hello. Seno and Opoh immediately started to play...well, more so, Seno kept trying to play tag with Opoh, and Opoh kind of just sat there and watched. This was going to be fairly interesting. The three of them continued to venture out into the grasslands, searching for a possible new friend.

...and so you TOOK OFF, walking BRISKLY towards Route One in what seemed to be a HURRY. Your companions accompanied you, or at least tried to, as you RACED towards the outskirts of town. Okay, well, you weren't exactly moving that incredibly fast - in fact you were walking normally - but, by the time you took a good twenty or so steps and looked down, your newly acquired Slowpoke seemingly disappeared. A look back would reveal that the Slowpoke was still only on its first step, and it was practically ZOOMING! Still, though, if you planned on walking with your beloved Opoh to wherever it was you were headed, it would be best to either carry him or let him back in his Pokeball. Also, seeing as that there Slowpoke weighed close to eighty pounds, your best bet would be to recall his majesty. Assuming you did - we can continue! If not, well, at least you made it six feet closer to your destination!

Moving on. You were now exiting Ayer and making your way into Route One, a long stretch of paved road and dirt and grass and whatnot that led to Emerslope. Taking your first few steps into the wilderness, you noticed that it was littered with a wide array of vegetation and rather rough terrain. The occasional tree here and there; a bush or two; but mostly a straight shot ahead. Nothing too exciting was happening - you could see the silhouettes of a couple trainers walking towards you from a distance and, if you looked to your northeast, you'd see what seemed to be a sort of pond or small body of water about a hundred yards or so away. The land dipped a bit so you couldn't get that great a view - and the towering trees surrounding it didn't much help your case either.

BOOM!

Well, that's what you heard. The startling explosion came from within a small gathering of trees; a thick, albeit miniature grove of sorts. What was troubling, more than anything, was that that was not the only explosion. Two, three, even four more followed suit in rapid succession. Pidgey and Taillow alike fled the shelter of the trees that shook with each detonation. Flocks of birds scattered into the sky above, quickly dispersing as they left the discomforting scene. You yourself weren't so sure of what was happening, but your Squirtle's attention was sure occupied. The little turtle trembled, yet ironically took a steep toward the booming trees, which were just a few yards to the northwest.

What exactly was going on? No other nearby trainer took notice - would that mean that it was a usual occurrence? Or were you just going mad? FIND OUT IN THE NEXT EPISODE OF- idkmybffjill?

Okay so...taking Opoh out of his ball was not the best idea ever. Both Seno and Joel freaked out and got scared for a moment when they realized Opoh was not behind them. In fact, it dawned upon him exactly what he caught, when he realized what was only a foot closer from its original destination. Was his Slowpoke really that...slow? I mean, of course he knew that the pink dual type was not the smartest, but really? It could not even move? What kind of Pokémon was it?! Joel was a little furious, but he quickly got over it. Plus, it was about his dear Opoh. Even though the Pokémon has already left a bad battling impression, Joel could not help but resist its uber cuteness. Well somewhat of a cuteness.

After realizing that it would take them the rest of the day for Opoh just to get to the other side, at this rate, he decided to consider recalling the Pokémon. If they wanted to go anywhere nice, they had to put Opoh back in his ball, otherwise say hello to Christmas. Joel pulled out Opoh's PokeBall, and recalled him sadly. The young man somewhat wanted to get to know his new Pokémon a little bit better. But that seemed like it was going to have to wait. Opoh was definitely not one for long distance or even short distance travels for this matters.

BOOM!

After recalling his second Pokémon, both Seno and Joel heard some loud noise coming from an area near them. At first they were a little curious, but then there was another bang, and then another and another! Then Pidgey and Taillow both flew out of nowhere, so obviously something had to have been wrong. The two decided it was best to check out what the heck the loud banging sound was coming from. And maybe, if it was doing something to harm the people or Pokémon of Tohea, they would attempt to stop it from hurting anything.

Joel started to think of ways to escape, just in case it came down to that. Seno was worried and started to tug onto his tank. Joel nodded to Seno that it was alright.
"It's alright buddy...we'll just check it out quickly. If anything bad happens, run. I won't let you get hurt. Alright?" At first Seno refused, but Joel would not allow him to. Eventually Seno gave in, and the two of them started to make their way towards the area the noise came from. Joel made sure he kept Seno close, just in case. The young man had to make sure his Pokémon were safe, but also figure out what the heck was going on.

[Sorry if it's ehh by the end, I fell asleep haha]
