You can't help but wonder why people are talking about the things they are as you step off of the bus you took to Tohea City. What was going on with the news of Pokémon vanishing and not being able to find any? Supposedly only the most common of common Pokémon could be found, and I'm not so sure what to make of that. Either way, you did see a lot of trainers battling each other, which people said has become much more popular. Well if what they said about wild Pokémon is true, then wouldn't it make sense that people would be battling against each other more? No matter, because I'm sure this whole wild Pokémon thing will be cured up in a jiffy. It's probably some evil mastermind trying to take over the world or something like that. And we all know that never works out for the villain.

Anyways, I suppose that you're ready to meet up with your sister, so you better go find her. Did you two arrange to meet at a specific location? If not, then you can try many areas, such as the large water fountain in the middle of the city, or maybe the meat market. Then again, you could always try the Pokémon Center or the Pokémart if you must. Just do whatever you think is best for you, although you might want to hurry.

Up above, dark clouds are rolling in, and it's starting to get chilly with the promise of whatever is supposed to come. Whatever it is, I'm sure it won't be a pleasant storm.

Getting off of the bus to take my first breath of Tohea City’s air made me feel a little better than I was before. It didn’t change how I got ridiculously separated from my sister at the train station and pushed around by the crowd until the train stopped boarding and left the station. I felt a little more comfortable in crowds than my sister did but it didn’t excuse being kept away from my train just because other people couldn’t stop to let a young girl get on her own train. Why it happened that way is beyond my comprehension but at least I still got a ride to Tohea City, even though it cut a big hole in my budget.

What truly puzzled me was why so many people wanted to get on a train and head to Tohea despite many rumors about disappearing Pokémon. It may not have been the best idea for Judith and me to travel to Tohea ourselves but we didn’t hear about the rumors until very recently. I felt a little uneasy about this place after hearing the rumors myself; it does affect me as a trainer after all. If it’s anything like past news reports, however, then it was probably another case of a villainous mastermind making nefarious plans that will probably be thwarted by a ten-year-old again.

My first order of business right now was meeting back up with my sister. The agreement we made was that if we couldn’t find each other at the train station, then we’d meet up at the fountain in the middle of town. That was probably the best place for me to look first. Knowing my sister, she would probably be looking in the direction of the train station for me, not knowing about what happened. I wasn’t sure whether or not I was coming from that direction or not but I felt it would be safe to guess that it was up to me to look for her.

As I walked on the city sidewalks, I saw plenty of trainers practicing a very familiar pastime: Pokémon battling. Few of these trainers seemed to be phased by the rumors so they were either false or it only happens with wild Pokémon. Going with the worst case scenario, it probably only happens with wild Pokémon and would force me to either stick with common Pokémon or wait for the wild Pokémon to return. It probably wouldn’t be too much trouble for me to wait. After all, it would give me time to raise my own Piplup before having to worry about any other Pokémon.

Seeing dark clouds above me made me a little more uneasy about having come to this place at the wrong time. After finding Judy, the two of us will probably have to head to a Pokémon Center anyways. The bright side of the dark clouds was that it gave me another reason to reunite with my sister as soon as possible. There was a slight problem, though. As good as reuniting with my sister as soon as I could sounds, I have no way of knowing whether I’m going the right way or not other than keeping my eye out for a fountain or at least signs pointing to it.

As you continued to walk, you noticed that you didn't seem to be getting anywhere near the center of the city. Quite opposite actually, as soon you found yourself nearing Route One, though obviously that's not where you intended to go. Turning, you noticed a man in his mid twenties looking at you, though not in a sick, disturbing way I promise. He seemed to be more interested in what it was that you were doing actually, and so started to head your way. You didn't see any Pokémon near him, although he could possibly have some on his belt, though it was hid by his shirt.

This man was about six feet tall and probably weighed somewhere near one hundred seventy pounds, with no fat on his bones. He did have plenty of muscle though, and it looked like he might actually do some weight training. It seemed that his favorite color was orange, as he was wearing an orange sweater and orange shoes with his normal every day denim jeans. Placed on top of his head was an orange hat, which he took off as he walked towards you, obviously trying to show some respect. After all, when you don't know somebody and you want to introduce yourself to them, don't you take off your hat?

"Hello. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be lost. You're looking for something in particular? My name is Jacob Jackson." At this exact moment, just a little bit to your right, you saw your sister, who obviously also couldn't find the fountain. Perhaps you wouldn't need this guy's help after all, but it would still be nice to introduce yourself, don't you think?

((OOC: Judith will post in this thread and this will be your journey thread while you two are together))

”This is really bad… What am I going to say to Judy now…?” I thought as I walked aimlessly through the city, in a direction most likely opposite of where I wanted to go. After ten minutes of walking, I wasn’t sure whether I was going towards the fountain or away from it. It was still possible that I may be going the right direction but it was starting to seem hopeless. When I finally saw the city limits and a sign that read “Route 1,” any hope to be going towards the center of the city burst into flames. Being lost in a city alone was not a good situation for a fifteen year old girl, especially one who has such a noticeable hair color like mine, who may or may not run into a sadistic criminal kidnapper.

Irritated by what was in front of me, I turned around to go the other way to find someone walking towards me. It was a male adult, probably in his twenties, with lots of muscles showing. His attire was mostly orange, with regular blue denim pants to break the combo. I was intimidated to see him coming my way at first but after a good look at him, his face didn’t seem like that of one of those creepy stalker people or a pedophile. He even took off his hat as a polite gesture. He seemed safe to talk to but I knew I would still have to be careful. Looks can be deceiving.

”Hello. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but notice that you seemed to be lost. You're looking for something in particular? My name is Jacob Jackson." he said with a gentle voice. He seemed to have read my mind, word for word when he spoke to me. He was right, I was lost and I was looking for someone. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to ask him for directions to where I expect my sister to be. It won’t hurt her if she doesn’t know, right? However, I did not notice that Judy was nearby and proceeded to ask him for directions.

“Hi.” I started reluctantly, still a little nervous around this stranger. “My name is Katherine Lauma. I’m trying to meet up with my sister at the fountain in the middle of the city. Could you please tell me how to get there? I don’t want to keep her waiting much longer.”

The worst that could happen is that he would lead me to a trap or a bad part of town. He didn’t seem like that kind of evil person to me, though. Besides, I could always ask another person in the city for directions just to clarify and make sure I’m not being led by false directions. I’ll just have to be careful if he offers to guide me there. My biggest concern was whether Judy was waiting at the Fountain or out looking for me because she got tired of waiting. Hopefully, it wasn’t the latter. After all, that’s likely to lead to a wild goose chase.

Mareep dozed. Judith's lap was a wonderful, comfortable place even with dark clouds hanging over the horizon. When the girl shifted, Mareep rolled onto its back and blinked up at its trainer. She was looking out over the crowd of humans, looking for... something. Maybe that purple-haired girl that Mareep saw at the lab. As she waited, Judith began to rub Mareep's belly. The little sheep bleated quietly to show her appreciation. Soon after, Judith began to speak.

“Deria,” she said, “I don't think she's coming from the train station.”

Who? Oh. That was her new name, Deria. Mareep had been so used to being called “Fluffball” and “Little Fellow” by Elm's assistants that she often forgot newer names. Since she was to stay with Judith, however, she'd have to memorize this. “Deria,” she mumbled to herself. “Deria, Deria. That is me.”

Judith must have thought Mareep had agreed with her, for she replied, “Indeed. I'm not worried about her; she's skilled enough at using Pokčmon to defend herself, and I can trust her to keep out of trouble. If she ends up lost, however, I have to search for her.”

Deria rolled back onto her stomach and crawled out of Judith's lap. By the sounds of things, they'd be on the move soon, and it wouldn't do to be cozy one moment, then tumbling off of her owner's lap the next. Judith got up and began to walk in a random direction. Deria rose to follow. In a few moments, however, she found that she couldn't keep up. By the time Judith slowed down to make sure Deria hadn't fallen too far behind, the Mareep was panting with the effort of jogging. If she had been walking normally, Judith would not have left poor Deria in the dust. To make up for it, Judith lifted Deria into the air and let the sheep rest on her head.

Now Deria the Hat and Judith set off in search of Judith's sister... Kat-somebody. Weird humans and their weird long names. At least Judith was short and easy to pronounce. As they went along, they entered a small side-street. It was on the outskirts of the city, far from the fountain. The only interesting landmarks that Deria could make out was a male human dressed in orange. It was such a nice, bright color, so bouncy. Deria had no time to ponder this, however, as Judith stepped forward to greet her sister.

They could hear Kat talking to the man in orange: “Hi. My name is Katherine Lauma. I’m trying to meet up with my sister at the fountain in the middle of the city. Could you please tell me how to get there? I don’t want to keep her waiting much longer.”

Judith sighed softly. She didn't seem to be mad or anything. It sounded like an affectionate sigh, if there ever were a thing. Deria had to scramble slightly as Judith moved forward to meet her sister.

“My sister won't quite need your help,” she said, “but we both appreciate the offer.” She turned to her sister. “I suppose you weren't able to get on the train?” she asked. “Perhaps we should have set our meeting place to the Pokčcenter instead...”

Deria looked over at the guy in orange. Such a bright, pretty shirt. And the haaaaaat. Deria wanted to eat it, it looked so orange.

“Let me down,” she said, “I want to eat his hat.”

Judith looked up at her and shrugged. “You want to greet the gentleman, yes? I'll put you down, then.” The trainer lifted Mareep from her head. When Deria's ears were close to her mouth, she whispered, “Just keep close to me. I don't completely trust him.”

With a nod, Deria hopped down from Judith's arms and ran over to the orange man. She gazed up at him with awe before catching a glimpse of his shoes. Orange. Yum. Deria craned her neck down and licked the man's shoe.

Orange. Yum.

”My sister won't quite need your help,” said a familiar voice to my left, ”but we appreciate the offer.”

I turned around and found out that my sister had either gotten lost as well or waited too long at the fountain. So much for getting directions to the center of Tohea City from this gentleman. Judy had probably found the fountain but gotten impatient and started looking for me. In hopes to meet up with me faster, she risked setting up a wild goose chase to find me. It was a risky move but we got lucky that it turned out for the better.

She then turned to me and said
“I suppose you weren't able to get on the train? Perhaps we should have set our meeting place to the Pokčcenter instead...” I could always trust my sister to be able to read my expressions and match them with the situation to figure out what was going on. She knew exactly what I would say if she asked me what was going on.

I opened my mouth to explain but I was stopped as she took her Mareep off of her head and spoke to it. Once she had finished, I allowed myself to speak without paying attention to what the Mareep was doing.

“Judy!” I began, exited to see her despite being lost. “The crowd kept pushing me away and I missed the train. I had to take a bus. Then I got lost trying to find the fountain.” I explained, feeling my eyes water as I said it.

“I’m sorry,” I said as I gave my sister a hug.

Judith hugged her sister. "It's okay," she said, "It wasn't your fault; everbody seems to be itching to come here. Next time we get separated like that, we'll meet at the Pokčcenter, since they're easy to spot."

Welll, now that they'd found each other, they could start their exploration of the continent. They would, of course, have to go back into town to buy supplies and dry food and perhaps a general guidebook on surviving in the wild. Though they had been on camping trips with their parents, the campgrounds had been closely monitored by rangers. Judith hoped that Kat had learned something about camping in the wilderness in the Pokčmon academy...

There was the man in orange to deal with as well. Turning around, Judith spotted her Mareep licking his shoe. She jumped forward and gently tugged her Pokčmon away.

"I'm so sorry!" she said, bowing. "I didn't mean for Mareep to bother you." She couldn't help but blush. Judith would have to get Mareep out of that habit if it was one...

With arched eyebrows, Jacob watched the spectacle of two sisters reunited, realizing that his help wouldn't be needed after all. But before he could just leave you two be, Daria decided that it would be good to try to eat his shoes. Obviously the sheep has a craving for things orange, which I find odd since I would think that they would be color blind. Then again, I never actually thought about Pokémon being color blind, and it hasn't ever been said that any are, so maybe none of them are. Either way, the Mareep made Jacob start to back off rather quickly, not wanting to lose his shoes. Luckily, Judith had grabbed the Pokémon and started apolagizing to Jacob, who shook his head and held out his hands to show he didn't need one.

Before he could begin to talk though, you saw everything start to darken around you, and looking up, all three of you (four if you count Daria) saw that it was the sky. It looked like it was about to storm for sure, and you heard a big boom of thunder, and a huge streak of lightning ran across the sky. Oh yeah, a storm was definitely coming, and it didn't sound like a very fun one, though that's not even the worse of it. You could see very large figures up in the sky, and they appeared to be fighting, though you couldn't tell what they were for sure. Perhaps they were large Pokémon, although you must wonder why they would be fighting like that. Whatever they were, it was quite clear to each and every one of you that they were the cause of the storm. But what were they fighting about? Was it maybe the island of Tohea?

"This doesn't look too good," Jacob said. "I think that we should probably get to some kind of shelter before things start to unravel fast. My house is must closer than the Pokémon Center, although I completely understand if you would rather go there. No doubt you two can't help but wonder why I would be inviting you into my house like that, storm or not. If you don't want to come into my home, at least let me walk you that far. Come on!"

Without giving you two the chance to say anything more, Jacob began to lead you guys to where he lived. This would give you two some time to whisper amongst yourselves about whether or not you trusted him enough to go into his house. All of you eventually made it there, though, and he began to talk to you, giving you instructions to the Pokémon Center should you decide to go there. You would just continue down this road and make a right onto the first upcoming street, and the Center would be another five minute walk from there. Do you want to risk being out in all of this chaos for that long, or do you think it'd be safer going into this guy's house. With both of you together, along with your Pokémon, I don't think much could go wrong, could it? Perhaps I'm wrong though, you can never be too certain.
