(OOC- just going to assume that we are both at our starting positions again)

Ryker's plan didn't go completely as planned, but it wasn't a waste. This, Ryker could accept. The bulbasaur obviously didn't want to go without a fight, but Ryker still wanted to try to convince it otherwise. He had already started to get some feelings for the bulbasaur and didn't want to hurt the poor thing. It didn't have anybody or a home. But neither did he, but at least bulbasaur would have a nice warm pokeball. He was going to go on the defensive again. It might be at square one again, but it's worth a shot.

Ryker looked into his eyes. He wanted to end this peacefully, bulbasaur wouldn't like him very much if he had to catch him by force. He looked at Treecko, she was a little bit hurt from the bite, but not much. It didn't make much of a difference to her, either way, she would probably just want me to be happy. By catching this Pokémon, it would allow bulbasaur to be confined to him, but at the same time, he would be free. He would be cared for and safe. Freedom. The reason that Ryker left Kanto in the first place. He felt a bit homesick. And alone. He wondered if this is how bulbasaur felt too. Alone. But he's better off this way. Making his own path insted of following his parents.....His parents. He had almost forgotten of them. He wondered what they were thinking, doing right now. His dad was probably busy somewhere, and his mother too. Mom. Busy or not, she has to be worried sick. He felt a bit guilty, and looked up at the bulbasaur again. He had to catch this. Nobody deserves to be alone!

"Treecko, stay right there, if anything goes wrong, you'll know what to do." He commanded, motioning for her to stay there. He walked toward bulbasaur and squatted down in front of him. Treecko watched, worried that something bad would happen, but she obeyed her trainer's wish.

"Bulbasaur, please, stop this fighting." "You have to be cold, you have to be lonely, you can't just live on like this in this climate, you'll freeze to death." "I don't want to fight you, becuase i know that we're alike. I also feel lonely, even though i have treecko, i just started my journey and well, i didn't exactly bring along my whole family. We both may be alone, but we can be alone together, and together we can fill that viod. He pulled out a pokeball and clicked the button and pointed it in front of bulbasaurs nose. "Please get inside the pokeball bulbasaur, and i promise. You'll never be alone again."

Treecko looked at you disapprovingly as you set off to yet again try to reason with the small bulbous Pokémon. Hello? They'd just been fighting. Bulbasaur wouldn't be likely to forget that too soon now would he? He's not that stupid! Honestly you and your plans. But it's always worth a try isn't it? So you set off walking slowly towards him trying not to make any sudden movements and not to threaten the tiny creature.

Bulbasaur began to growl as you got closer, obviously feeling quite hostile towards you and your geecko Pokémon. But it wasn't a vicious growl, it was almost a scared growl, a fear of being hurt, of being attacked! He shook as you knelt down near him, he was obviously afraid. The poor thing must have seen some rough things in his lifetime.

As you began to explain to Bulbasaur that it wasn't safe for him in the cold and that you and him were alike, he seemed to come out of a submissive position and sat and listened to you. Could a Pokémon and a human become friends? Was it possible? He then looked over to where your Treecko was waiting to attack should something go wrong and nodded.

Treecko rushed over knowing that the danger had gone. Bulbasaur began speaking with Treecko whom you understood much easier than Bulbasaur. Treecko told you of the tough time that Bulbasaur had gone through. How he was left alone as an egg and left to fend for himself. How he was attacked by a pack of Houndour when he was only young. It wasn't nasty, he was only defending himself, and with that the dinosaur Pokémon tapped the Pokeball with its nose and was sucked in the ball within a flash of red light.

(Ask in Profile Update thread for Bulbasaur to be added to your Profile)

Ryker held the pokeball, he was warm now. He smiled at treecko, she wasn't entirely thrilled that i ended the battle prematurely, but that was okay. Yeah. Everything was going to be okay now. This proved it. Good things can happen to people, and in the end, everyone can have a happy ending. Bulbasaur was safe with him now, and they could be together. Bulbasaur wouldn't have to be alone anymore. A good warm feeling entered Ryker's heart and he looked into the sky. It was still snowing hard, and really dark out.

He put bulbasaurs pokeball on his belt, and took treecko's off. He hit the button and enlarged it, pointing it at treecko. "Good job treecko, return!" The red light engulfed him and transfered him into the ball. He hit the button again and returned the ball to his belt. He shook the snow out of his hair. He wondered what to do next. He got a new Pokémon like he wanted, so there was no reason to leave and go anywhere this time of night. He re-entered the Pokécenter. He wouldn't bother with healing his Pokémon till the morning, they weren't hurt that badly anyways. Sleep is what he needed. He looked around and found a place on the couch. Sitting down, he feel asleep almost instantly. Weird considering that he was out cold for 8 hours, though it wasn't good sleep anyways.

He woke up in the morning, nurse joy was at her post and he decided that he would heal his Pokémon now, and head out and explore the town some. He walked up to the counter, it was smooth and there wasn't a line this early in the morning, he handed the nurse his Pokémon. "Heal please."

(Some godmodding I see, but its not enough to make me really whack you. Besides its christmas, so I'll let it slide with a warning. Just becareful okay.)

Nurse Joy looked up at you and took your Pokémon in their pokeballs and healed them. Since it wasn't busy, they were done rather quickly. When you were heading out to go explore the town, a poster on the message board caught your attention. It was a message to all Pokémon trainers about some sort of crime. It simply read;

Help wanted to catch small time thief possibly a or a group of Pokémon. Several businesses and people were robbed of metals, items, and other misc. stuff. If you find the thief(s) or have information about the thief(s), please contact the hurst police department. Reward for catching the thief(s) is $500, and 3 potions from the Pokémart.

Hmmm an adventure, a quest, a chance to prove yourself. Or a really really stupid way to explore the town. But as you left the Pokémon center to go exploring you see a small catlike Pokémon running down the street. It looked something like this; :meowth :male level 7 it appeared to be carrying a small bag that looked full of stuff. It took a good look at you and vanished into an alleyway. A few moments later, a person came running down the street in the same direction as the meowth. He seemed rather angry, possibly because that meowth stole something from him. He stopped short of the alleyway that the meowth took, and looked around.

Well you could choose to ignore this and continue on exploring the town. Or you could help the man out and possibly solve the crime spree. Hmm choices choices choices... difficult isn't it. Well that $500 and 3 potions from the Pokémart is enough to make any person's mouth drool. Of course its not gonna be easy to stop this crime spree. But thats up to you now isn't it? Well decide then go out and do whatever it is trainers do.

(Well this was a fun ref... not one of my best refs mind you. Nor is this one of my best on the fly type plots. But it was all I could think of right now. So have fun.)

Ryker smiled. He loved these kind of challeges, it's the things that get him up in the morning. And it reward seemed good enough. He made sure all his belongings were in safe spots and quickly headed down the alleyway. That cat Pokémon would be easy enough to take out. But it could be a lot more complicated then that. Ryker thought of all of this, but didn't care to much. He could use the money, the good deed and the experence. These are all great reasons to get your self involved in something.

Running down the alleyway he noticed that he had gone deep into the maze like alleyways, and he couldn't be able to tell exactly where he is going due to him not knowing the town very well. It was too late to stop now. If he really got in trouble, he would be able to count on his Pokémon to back him up, though he would need them either way. He lost controll of his thought running down this alleyway and nearly tripped over a garbag sack and landed into a dumpster. That wouldn't be a good cologne for the ladies. He continued down the alleyway, waiting to catch up the the little theif.

Hmmm might want to watch out for the garbage cans. One would imagine that the city was safe... nope the alleyways and backstreets were filled with homeless people. They were oblivious to you walking around the alleyway. Needless to say you lost the meowth, tricky little bugger. But considering it had a small headstart and probably knew the area. It wasn't to surprising, to think that you lost it.

As you wandered around you found little dirty paw prints everywhere. This was probably your biggest clue ever. Not to mention several people were talking about strange noises from an abandoned warehouse. Of course no one ever entered it because it was reportedly haunted from the sounds of it. Well now you got yourself a lead, you could try and find the warehouse on your own. Or you could go and ask around for it, it can't hurt can it. Besides its your only lead that you have right now.

Either way you choose it, you get to explore the um city's alleyways. Which aren't very impressive if you ask me. But anyway, choose trainer choose. Have fun trainer and good luck.

(Mwahaahahahahaha the plot thickens... I was originally gonna have you look for it longer, but I changed the plot on the fly so here you go.)

Hmmm... Ryker just might be able to solve this yet, he just got to this town and he is already in the middle of a crime spree trying to solve it. He felt like a mysterious superhero and it empowered him to keep moving forward, not only would be more well known, he and his Pokémon would get stronger AND he would get quite a reward. Sounds like a win-win-win situation. He and almost nothing to lose, so he might as well get his hands dirty. And who knows, he might even catch a Pokémon envolved.

All these thoughts tempted Ryker, and he even let his imagination get to him a little bit. He could be like batman, stoping crimes with his trusty Pokémon treecko and bulbasaur! After a rather long and heroic fantasy, he decided to accually start talking to people and finding out some more clues about this warehouse. It just screamed hideout and he had no other leads. He remember those people that were talking about the werehouse a little bit back, so he started walking backwards, wouldn't matter too much, considering he lost meowth. He could also use the information, and the more he knew, the easier it would be to solve the case.

More thoughts evntered his head during the walk. This time in the form of doubts. What if he wasn't good enough? That was quite a reward, and if the police were offering it meant that they didn't have much luck themselves. And they are trained for this sort of thing. The mental image of super ryker left and he say himself in a homeless and miserable person. He quickly shook his head and his hair got in his eyes. He moved his hair back and entered reality again. He could solve this case. But it wouldn't be easy. He just had to try. God it stank in here. Ryker sighed, he needed to control his thoughts better.

He caught up to the group of strangers and aproached them. "Hey, what do you know of the werehouse, can anyone tell me where it is?"

"The warehouse... that old place use to be an old potion storage place for pokemarts to order their potions from. It closed down years ago when grimers and koffings started terrorizing the place." A young homeless guy said looking at you. He was maybe about 30 years old, wearing a coat that was starting to show signs of wear and tear on it. He had trousers on that looked very worn down. He had long dark red hair braided down his back. He had a kindness that showed through his eyes, which was cool.

"From the sounds of it after it closed, 4 grimers and 3 koffings took it over. There's also mention of 2 gastlys that roam the warehouse." He said continuing his story, he smiled as you showed some interest.

"I highly doubt many of the Pokémon live there anymore, but if there were it would explain many things. There's been a rush of Pokémon activity there lately, and many sounds coming from the warehouse at night." He said looking at the rest of the people standing around him. They were of different ages, genders, and heights. But they all showed the same hardships that came with being on the streets. A few of them had Pokémon with them, not many because they required some funds to raise and take care off.

"If you wish to go there, go down that road there. Take a left, and walk down 4 blocks. You can't miss it, its the huge brick red building with vines growing on it." He said pointing to the road that looked very well lit thanks to the morning light.

How he knew that you were looking for it, well considering you asked about it. That made it really easy to guess now didn't it, well now that you had the information that you seeked. Now what are you gonna do? You were having self doubts, but you know what? You were a trainer, and trainers were good at figuring out mysteries. Well most trainers where, but are you gonna give up? I wouldn't, you have the information. And you have 2 grass Pokémon with you, that could protect you. So go forth and good luck.

Ryker wondered how he overheard the conversation, but at least he got the information he needed. 3 grimers, 4 koffings and 2 gastlys? Sounds like enough to scare but to scare away people and to not hire someone to get rid of them is a little unrealistic. There had to be more, Or at least that's what Ryker thought. Then again, the reward was good, but it was super good. The police probably just didn't want to waste their time. Hey, more money and potions for him! He just had to do it, and do it right. Treecko and Bulbasaur could handle this, and i bet bulbasaur was ready for some action. He looked at bulbasaur's pokeball. He smiled. He was warm and safe. Hopefully he wouldn't get spooked in the warehouse, he knew Treecko wouldn't, but he didn't know much about bulbasaur's personality. But he would in time. He had two rare grass Pokémon, and that was okay with him. He looked up into the sky. He didn't like the way the ref was talking about him having two grass Pokémon, it made him feel uneasy. Then again, he just broke the fourth wall. So none of that statement really happened.

He was filled with mixed feelings. It didn't take him long to get the information he needed, and as he walked down the road he wondered why nobody else could solve this case, maybe they were lazy? Or they failed and they went running to the Pokécenter to heal their Pokémon. Or maybe they didn't even get that far and they got spooked just walking into the warehouse. Any of these things were a possiblity, and all of them were probably to someone at one point. He wouldn't worry about it, he couldn't fail. He could, but he wouldn't let himself. He took a left, he could already see the warehouse in the distance. He ran most of the 4 blocks, nearly slipping on ice and tripping over hobos. He felt bad for them, so many of them and they lived out on the cold street. He continued to run and he had reached the warehouse. He took a deep breathe, and opened the door, pokeballs in hand.

Upon entering the warehouse there were several things that were obvious. First the entire warehouse was practically devoid of anyone. Second it was dark save the light coming in from the windows, giving the warehouse a surreal look to it. Third the entire place had a calm almost loving feeling to it, the kind that didn't want you to leave. Fourth, the building was warmer then you'd expect a building to be during winter. Lastly there were Pokémon sounds coming from the far end of the building. It didn't seem that they really took notice of you, it sounded like they were busy. Which would explain the sounds of metal being worked.

Entering the building you could see the latters, stairways, and places where they stored the potions and what nots. Sneaking up on the Pokémon, you notice that they seem to be taking stolen stuff and turning it into sheets of metal. Other stolen stuff they were turning into toys and other things.

There were the;

2 :grimer :male level 5's
2 :grimer :female level 5's
3 :koffing :male level 5's
2 :gastly :female level 6's
2 :magnemite :genderless level 6's
1 :machop :male level 6
The 1 :meowth :male level 7
And 1 :numel :male level 7

Hmmmm this would be a big task for one trainer with just 2 Pokémon. Well just from watching them, you could tell one thing. They were trying to maintain the structure of the warehouse. Which made it obvious that the warehouse was their new home and they were trying to maintain it.

Just as you thought you were still safe from view, the numel and meowth maintaining the fire looked up and saw you. They both gave out an alarm, and the rest of the Pokémon dropped what they were doing. The Pokémon besides numel and meowth took fighting positions behind the 2 appariently head boss Pokémon.

The numel turned and started saying something, which caused the other Pokémon to calm down. Numel said something to Meowth and they both walked up pasted the fire to you, and took a fighting stance. They seemed to want to fight you. Will you accept their offer of a fight?

The choice is yours really, no ones really forcing you to accept it. Well either way, lets get the plot fight started. Good luck trainer.

Ryker was shocked by the look of the huge amount of Pokémon, but he was glad that he didn't have to fight them all at once. Still, this could be a tough fight, he pointed at the numel. "I'll accept your challenge!" He made his way for the stocks of potions and took about 3. He's going to need them, and well, he can tell the reward people he took some and deduct them from his reward. That numel would be a good addiction to his team, but it's fire and well that won't be good news for his grass pokes. He could really get some good Pokémon here, he had his eye on one of those gastly's and that machop. He had to get though these two first though, but he could handle it, if he stayed on the defensive.

Ryker nodded at the Pokémon. "Here we go, show them what we're made of!" He said as he threw his pokeballs out and his treecko and new bulbsaur popped out. "Bulba---SAUR~~!" His new friend cried rubbing up against his leg. Ryker smiled and petted bulbasaur, and winked at treecko. "I hope you guys are ready, we're in for one hell of a fight." Bulbasaur nodded and got into battle position next to treecko. Treecko nodded off and crouched slightly ready for action. She was always ready, and even though the magma coming out of numel's hump scared bulbasaur a little bit, treecko seemed unphased. He would always admire treecko for her bravery, it inspired him to never be afraid either.

He snapped out of talk mode and into battle mode. Holding onto his necklace he thought of the situation on hand. It would be best to take out the numel first, get the fire out of the way, but if we rush in, he could easily burn them to ashes. But if he leaves him alone, he could sneak attack later. He had to make a choice. He could either have bulba and treecko work together to take one out at a time, or play it safe and have them split up. If he spilt up, treecko would be best for numel, she won't lose her nerve like bulba would. Organizing his thoughts he made a plan. He would quickly take out meowth while keeping a close eye on numel, and then double team the slow Pokémon before he could take out his own. Seemed like a good plan, let's just hope it works.

"Alright, let's do this guys, bulbsaur, i want you to use leach seed, and growl on meowth from a distance, watch out for numel's embers. Treecko, i want you to run around meowth while he's busy with bulba and use absorb and pound at the same time, make sure you don't get burned. Now go!"

Ryker loved his high risk, high reward strat, but would it work?

As you finished your battle plan, it looked as though the other 2 Pokémon had formed a plan of their own. All the other Pokémon took up positions to watch the battle. Naturally they were curious about this battle, after all it was more entertaining then work. Now onto the battle of the warehouse Pokémon and you.

Meowth being the fastest of the 4 battling Pokémon went first. He started running, which seemed to make him go faster then normal. He then ran up and scratched your poor treecko acrossed the chest. Treecko being smart dodged a little and was only hit by half the scratch.

Treecko being the second fastest moved so that he was behind the meowth. A green beam of light engulfed the meowth and treecko's scratched healed up rather nicely. Treecko then whacked the meowth over his head with his paw, seemingly doing some damage as the meowth was knocked forward. The meowth fell but caught itself, standing back up it turned to Treecko.

Bulbasaur surprisingly being faster then the numel. He sent out a seed that hit the meowth on his back. It quickly sprouted and sent vines around meowths body, and began to drain energy and health away from him. Meowth didn't seem to be to happy about being vined up this way, and began trying to get some of the vines off of it. Bulbasaur then growled loudly which somehow got meowth's attack to weaken. Meowth was only partly successfull in getting some of the vines off, before turning around to Bulbasaur.

Numel being the slowest one, didn't like you gaining up on his partner Pokémon. But he wasn't fast enough to compete with treekos or bulbasaurs speed. So he began a small run with seemed to get a little faster thanks to agility. He sent out a small ember attack out at bulbasaur, since he was the closest one to him. Bulbasaur being slightly faster was able to dodge part of the attack. The ember hit him on his rear left foot, causing some pain and doing some damage. But at least it wasn't a full head on successful hit, that would have seriously hurt now wouldn't it.

Now Treecko and bulbasaur seemed ready for your next set of orders. Poor meowth so unloved, so ganged up on. The other Pokémon seemed to boo at your Pokémon, and cheer for meowth and numel. Ah well you win some you lose some. What'cha gonna to do now trainer? The battles just beginning, and it looks like you have a slight advantage. Use it well, or lose it forever.

He looked at the other Pokémon, they seemed to be like the crowd in an arena match, he felt like a big shot, but he also felt like the bad guy, they were booing him! This almost angered him, but it made him realize that he wanted to impress these wild stealing Pokémon. And he planned to, he just had to figure out how. He stood there looking at his Pokémon, they were okay for the most part, and bulbasaur was holding up decently well for his first battle under a trainer.

Ryker had an awesome idea, but he had to do it right, otherwise this would be a complete failure, this could take meowth out, but he had to do it right. He sat there staring that the two oppisite Pokémon, and wondered if it would work, but he had to at least try. He could take meowth out now, but it had to go according to plan. It was a team attack, it would take perfect teamwork from both Pokémon, but it could work, and with the combo of leech seed, it was almost garenteed to knock him out.

"Alright, Bulbasaur, i want you to do agility, and headbutt meowth into the air, don't leave any openings. Treecko, i want you to wait till meowth is in the air, then slam him down with pound and then land on him. Bulbasaur, when all this is done, retract your seeds." He thought he was clear enough, now he just has to wait to see if it would work.

As much as you wanted to impress this rowdy crowd of Pokémon, it was obvious that they wanted your Pokémon to lose. Not that it really mattered to you mind you. You did take 3 stolen potions from them as well. Which would anger anyone, but that's a different story. Now onto the battle which is taking place.

Bulbasaur ran at meowth although it was hindered slighly by his burned foot. But thanks to the agility it was able to run faster then it normally would. But meowth was still faster, the meowth moved faster thanks to another possible agility. The meowth was still hindered by the leech seed's vines, as it wasn't moving as it should've been. That and it looked like it was being drained more from the leech seed attack.

Bulbasaur did get a headbutt in, but considering the positioning and the angle of the headbutt the meowth didn't go up high like you thought it was going to. It landed on its back, and destoried the rest of the vines and seed. Well there's no way to recall them now. And bulbasaurs foot seemed to be causing some damage to it, but not enough right now to be considered harmful.

As treecko ran up to do a pound, the meowth turned slightly and scratched with its claws. It was enough to hurt Treecko, but not enough to stop the pound from happening. Treecko pounded the meowths stomach with its tail, then did a flip and landed on meowth causing meowth to faint.

This caused a major cry of what one would consider to be boos and hisses coming from the crowd of Pokémon. Looks like your the underdog here, and your winning. Of course this is gonna get a bunch of boos and hisses from a crowd. Oh well, onward to the numel.

Saying that Numel was angry would be an understatement... this numel was ENRAGED now. The numel charged faster then before, thanks to another agility. It lowered its head for a headbutt at bulbasaur, and bulbasaur didn't get enough time to properly react to the charging numel. It was pushed back a few inches and landed on its side. It slide another inch or 2 before hitting a shelf and causing a :pokeball to fall off of it, hit the poor bulbasaur and roll at you.

Bulbasaur got up shook slightly, and got ready to fight again. Although it looked like he's seen better days then this. Well what are you gonna do now, you have a enraged Pokémon to deal with, and a pokeball rolling at you. Oh and your in a place with lots of Pokémon that don't look happy that your winning. Hmmm this isn't good, but it can't be bad either. I mean the numel did tell them to stay out of the fight, regardless of who won. Well what'cha gonna do? This is now a 2 vs 1 match, in your favor. How fun... even though you don't need it good luck.

Ryker smiled, it didn't go according to plan, but in the end, they still knocked that annoying cat out. He noticed a pokeball rolling towards him, and picked it up. Sweet, a free pokeball, now he can catch another Pokémon while he's here. He looked at the crowd of Pokémon. Hmmm, which ones would be useful on his team. He always liked machop, and magnemite wouldn't be bad... He looked at Numel, he was peeved that Ryker had already knocked out his friend and partner Meowth already. He would have to play on the defensive, to adviod getting burned.

He thought about what he should do. Numel was part ground, but he was also fire, so grass type attacks were useless. He used ember before, so he already knows a fire move, unlike alot of fire Pokémon at that level. Ryker put his hand on his chin. He had to think about this tacticly. Numel is slow, so he could bet him in speed, but he's also heavy, and if he tries doing the headbutt/ground pound combo, he'll fail or get some of numel's magma spilled on him. Defensive...for now. If he could find a way to plug up Numel's hole and cool his magma, he could slow him down to slug speed. (no offence slugma) He looked around for something that could do the job. Nope, nothing. Oh well. It's time to act.

"Alright Bulbasaur, i want you to do tail whip twice. Treecko, i want you to stay near and use leer twice, and when his defense is completely down, i want you to flip over him and smack him with pound. Watch out for that ember, you're both faster then him." He commanded his Pokémon, liking the defensive and offensive plan at the same time. But would it work?
