Stepping off of the ship that you were on, it took a little while before you could walk on steady legs. After all of that time on the ocean, your sea legs weren't going to just let you walk on land without any time to adjust. However, you were able to walk pretty steady after about a minute, during which your Seel looked all around you. There were plenty of people walking around, and she even spotted a piece of candy on the ground. Gobbling it up, she looked at you, hoping that she wouldn't be scolded, though she knew that it probably wasn't smart to eat something without knowing exactly what it was. The sun was bright, though it was pretty chilly out, especially with the wind coming up off of the water. Everyone was walking briskly, trying to keep as warm as possible with their heavy coats, mittens, and scarves. Some people even had a fire Pokémon next to them, keeping them warm, although I'm sure the Pokémon weren't too pleased with staying out. Unfortunately the trainers got the last word in that kind of decision making. Hopefully you wouldn't make Seel stay out in the muggy, hot weather of summer time. But I'm sure I don't have to worry about that. It was probably only a few minutes of walking around before you two stumbled upon a Pokémon. You just got here and already a possible opponent, although it's completely up to you. Some get disgusted by this creature, while others are more than happy to eliminate them from the world. Then there are the occasional few who love to have them on their team. I am, of course, talking about a Rattata. ![]() Level 5 35/35 100%

In the time that it took to reach the docks of Tohea, which seemed to be a lifetime, the water pokémon trainer and her new friend, Seel, had already became quite close. With Rumi's love and natural understanding of the sea and water type pokémon, befriending the sea lion pokémon was not at all a difficult task. The two wasted away the days swimming in the deck pool, mostly just relaxing, sharing their common love for the water, and developing their relationship. Though at first time seemed to be escaping them before their very eyes, towards the end of the trip, however, the two just couldn't wait to get off the trip. Ironically, the days started to pass by a lot slower. Eventually, an announcement bellowed over the deck from a pair of speakers that rested at the top of a high pole, it was the captain. "Attention passengers, this is your captain speaking," he started, his voice commanding everyone's attention. "If you look out in the direction of travel, you will see Tohea on the horizon. Everyone prepare your things, we will arrive in 10 minutes." The announcement was ended, excitement filling both Rumi and her pokémon. "We're finally here Seel," Rumi said, unable to hide her excitement as she climbed from the pool, Seel following closely. Rumi quickly dried herself before dressing into her normal attire. Once the ship had docked, Rumi and Seel quickly made their way up the wharf and onto the solid ground. Rumi had became accustomed to the rocking motion of the ship, that standing still took her a few minutes to grasp. Rumi noticed Seel dash off for a moment, eating a piece of candy from the ground. Seel was still young, and needed to learn not to do such simple things as not eating food from the ground. As the sea lion pokémon looked up at her, Rumi shot her pokémon a quick unimpressed look, but her face soon softened as she started to speak, "You shouldn't eat food from the ground Seel, you never know where that has been," her tone was soft, but she was obviously serious about the matter. "Anyway, let's start exploring!" Rumi said as she started to walk off. The weather seemed to be a little confused on this particular day, the sun was out, but it provided no warmth. Instead, there was a cool breeze that came over the sea, causing everyone and everything to freeze, not literally. While Seel had no issues with the cold weather, Rumi on the other hand, definitely was not prepared for such a cold climate. She was wearing a short skirt and a light blouse, obviously not the right clothing for such a day. Other people in the area were using fire pokémon to keep themselves warm, but Rumi had no such luxury. "Let's find some place warm," Rumi told her pokémon as they continued to walk. The two were suddenly stopped however by a pokémon. Rumi was all too familiar with this particular pokémon, having seen a great number of them in her previous journey. Even if it were a water pokémon, with the way it looked, Rumi would not have any intention on catching it. This was, however, the perfect opportunity to test out Seel's abilities. "How about a battle Seel?" Rumi asked, and was quickly responded to by Seel nodding it head. Not wasting any time Rumi made her first commands, "Seel start with growl!" Seel quickly did as her trainer asked, releasing a powerful cry. "Now quickly use Headbutt!" Seel quickly propelled itself across the ground, using its flippers to pick up speed, it's head was turned down slightly as it directed its horn at the wild Rattata. |

Well, a little rat versus a sea lion. This should make for an easy battle for you. The Rattata wasn't even paying attention to you when you ordered a Growl. Once he heard it, he knew he was being attacked. Now, how rude is it to attack a poor little creature that is trying to keep warm? A battle would help it warm up, so he went into battle mode and prepared for the next attack. It came in the form of your Seel's Headbutt. Rattata quickly scampered toward it and disappered from sight. Your Seel was confused as to where the little purple rat went. Moments later, Rattata reappeared at Seel's side to deliver a powerful Quick Attack, ending the Headbutt attempt. To show how much power was behind it, Seel was pushed about ten feet away. Maybe you should reconsider catching this little rodent. He may come in handy later. Lv. 5 ![]() 29/35 92% Lv. 5 ![]() 35/35 94%(Attack -1) |

Not only did the sudden disappearance of the small rat pokémon come as a surprise to Seel, but Rumi found herself a little startled. It was unusually quick for a pokémon that was obviously not warmed up yet, and would suffer from cold, having such a thin frame. Seel on the other hand, had the climate advantage. It was built for the cold. The blubber that surrounds the pokémon's body provides the perfect protection from the cold. Rumi's eyes floated around the area, searching for where the wild Rattata would appear. In a flash the rodent reappeared to the side of her Seel. "Seel! Look out!" Rumi called to her pokémon, but it was already too late. The Rattata's attack found its target, sending her pokémon sliding across the ground. Not only was the rat fast, but obviously could deliver a power attack. She didn't care however, Rumi knew her Seel could win, she had faith and trusted in her friends abilities. The knock back from the Rattata's attack was just the thing Rumi needed for her Seel to gain some more momentum. "Seel use the push to build up speed!" Seel quickly gained control of its spinning body and started to glide across the surface of the field. Eventually, Seel turned, racing its way back towards the rat pokémon, waiting for Rumi to give her another command. Once Seel was close enough to the wild pokémon, Rumi instructed her pokémon on what to do. "Alright Seel!" she started, getting her pokémon's attention. "Jump up and then use Body Slam!" The speed that Seel had been building allowed it to jump high in the air. At the peek of her jump, Seel spun 180°, turning so that she could target the wild pokémon and land on it with the bottom of her body. Edited by happiistory, Dec 21 2008, 01:28 AM.

Well now, Rattata looked pretty content after getting the hit in on your Seel. So much so, that he turned his back on your Seel. This could mean two things, he's either very confident, or cocky. Probably the latter more than the former. You just might have your hands full with this one. Seel soon recovered and reversed direction, back toward the rat. You called out for a Body Slam and Seel nodded in agreement. Rattata looked confused by what you meant and looked behind it. By that point, Seel was already in the air, ready to give the rat a real shock of reality. Rattata tilted his head and wondered where his large blubbery enemy went. He didn't have to wait long before getting flattened. Seel smiled with his tounge lolling out, while still on the Rattata. Soon you could hear muffled cries from below. Seel then got off to reveil Rattata to be Paralyzed. It was twitching and looked to be in pain. Maybe you should finish this up and get the poor thing to a Pokémon center. After seeing the wild pokémon's short display of its overconfident attitude, turning its back towards the on coming Seel, Rumi not only wanted to crush that rodent, but she knew her pokémon's attack would land a direct hit. It certainly was a big mistake to turn away from a battle, especially one against Rumi. As Rattata turned back to check the battle scene, it seemed now that he was experiencing exactly what Seel and Rumi had experienced moments before. It was now Seel who had vanished from sight. It certainly was sweet revenge seeing her large blubbery pokémon come crashing down on top of the scrawny rat. Indeed, it was sweet. Rumi was unable to hide her delight, and a smile came to her face. Seeing her pokémon smile also, made Rumi even more happy. Despite the ongoing battle, Rumi wanted to run over to her friend and squeeze her squishy body, but of course, she wouldn't. Seel soon pushed herself off the Rattata to reveal the pancake of a pokémon. There was no mistaking that Rattata had taken some heavy damage from the last attack, which made Rumi want to end it now. There was no way she would waste a perfectly good pokéball on a creature such as that one, so her only option was to knock it out. A direct blow to the head should be enough to knock the rat out. "Finish off with Skull Bash Seel," Rumi instructed, no longer sounding amused by the battle before her. It was practically over. Rumi watched as her pokémon arched its back in order to lift her head as high as possible before quickly bringing it down towards the Rattata. Battling had always been something that thrilled the young water pokémon specialist. People who knew of her often said that her style was some what too aggressive, but Rumi only considered this to be partly correct. Sure, she sometimes attacked more than she could handle, but with her quick attacks, Rumi would never fail to surprise. Rumi has always been a driven person, and she believes that is the reason she is so quick to attack, the need to keep moving forward. There is only one time that Rumi can ever recall backing down during a battle. This battle, however, wasn't just against anyone, her opponent was someone she considered to be a friend. The battle was close, both trainers were down to their last pokémon. Rumi and her Starmie and Ace and his Charmeleon. Obviously, Rumi had the upper hand, and the crowd were really reacting to that, anticipating that the match would soon be over and the water type trainer would be victorious. To everyone's surprise, however, she wasn't. Ace was at a stage in his life where he needed to be encouraged, and Rumi wanted to protect him, fearing how he would react if he were to lose. So, as Charmeleon charged in towards Starmie to attack with Mega Punch, Rumi remained silent. It was unbearable to watch as the red pokémon's fist found its target, knocking Starmie out, but Rumi knew it was for the best. After the match and even till now, Rumi has never spoken to her friend about letting him win that day. (I hope Navipres is ok ^^) Edited by happiistory, Dec 22 2008, 06:46 AM.

How could you be so cruel to Rattata? He was just trying to stay warm in this cold weather. And now you end up beating the crap out of him. I don't know whether to applaude or to be appaled. It's a good thing Rattata lovers aren't watching, otherwise, you would have more problems on your hands. Your Seel heard your commands and lowered his head for the attack. Rattata tried to struggle through the Paralysis and move away. Unfortunately, he still couldn't move much. Seel then rushed in and plowed into Rattata with enough force to smash him into a brick wall, about ten yards away. The rat fell to the ground in a crumpled mess. Well, now what will you do now that Rattata is defeated? Pokémon Center, I assume, but that's up to you. Seel gained 50 . ((Navipres looks good))

Just as Rumi had expected, Seel's Skull Bash attack had been a direct hit. Considering that Rattata was paralyzed from the bone crushing Body Slam, it really was inevitable that the follow up attack would score a perfect hit. Seeing the attack take place was even greater than what Rumi had imagined. Seel had managed to do even more damage than Rumi thought possible. Pride was the first emotion that sunk into Rumi's veins, her new pokémon had battled so well. Then, as Rumi's eyes drifted to the crumpled body of the wild Rattata, she couldn't help but feel a little worried. Now that the battle was over, there was no need to hold onto any feelings of wanting to crush the rat pokémon. In fact, Rumi now felt compelled to help it. While there was no way she was going to catch it, she couldn't just leave it in a pile next to the wall out in the cold. It needed medical attention, and there was only once place for that. The Pokémon Center. "You did great Seel!" Rumi exclaimed excitedly as she moved over to where her pokémon was resting. She gave her pokémon a bright smile before saying, "Now take a good rest." Rumi held up her pokémon's blue and white ball and Seel disappeared in a flash of red. Now for that little guy. Rumi quickly made her way over to the Rattata and knelt down beside it, observing the damage. There was no mistaking it, the pokémon definitely needed to visit good old Nurse Joy. Rumi carefully slid her hands under the rat pokémon before lifting it up into her arms. Due to the fact that Rumi was still new to the city, she actually had no idea where the Pokémon Center was. After a moments scouting she finally spotted a sign that read 'Pokémon Center 200m' with an arrow that pointed in the direction she needed to go. It didn't take long for Rumi and the Rattata that she held in her arms to reach the Center. Once inside, Rumi quickly made her way over to the front desk, completely ignoring any of her surroundings or anyone that may have been there. Impatiently, she rang the bell for assistance and shouted out, "I need urgent treatment for this pokémon!" |

After repeatedly pounding the bell into the desk and almost knocking over many ornaments of vases full of flowers off the counter, someone finally arrived and took the Rattata off of your hands and hurriedly rushed off into one of the side rooms. It was several moments before there was any movement around you. People began moving to the side of you in order to get their Pokémon treated which were simply put on a machine and given back within a matter of seconds. The man nurse behind the desk looked bored and took the pokeball containing Seel and stuck it in the machine and gave it back. Without your consent it was of course cheeky, but helpful none the less. You turned around to see the people in the room. No-one particularly interesting, suddenly a boy stepped forward. Well maybe not a boy, but in his late teens anyway. He caught your eye for one simple reason, you knew him! It was Ace! Oh how good it was to see a farmiliar face in a land in which you next to nothing about. It was reasuring was it not? Then the nurse tapped on your shoulder breaking the moment of friendship that you were enjoying. "This Rattata should be fine now, who know what would have happened if you hadn't brought him in. He seems to have rather taken a shine to you though." So there it was, you could have a new Pokémon on your team if you wanted and you'd met up with your friend! Not too bad I must say. Obviously some people had issues with Rumi moving straight to the front counter, skipping the line completely. It was obvious that the pokémon in her hands needed immediate attention, yet some people didn't care. Once the Rattata was thankfully taken from her hands, the next person in line moved up to the machine to heal his pokémon, but on his way decided to knock Rumi. "Watch it!" Rumi warned, the other trainer obviously surprised by this. She certainly put him in his place as he continued to quickly heal his pokémon, not daring to say anything to Rumi. Rumi placed her hands on her hips, in an attempt to fight off her fatigue, keeping herself upright. She was exhausted to say the least. First a battle, then having to carry the Rattata to the Pokémon Center, it was a lot for such a short period of time. Rumi's attention was caught to the feeling of someone grabbing at Seel's Dive Ball. "Hey, give that ba-" Rumi started, but herself short after realizing what the male nurse was doing. While it would have been nice to be asked first, it was overall a nice gesture. "Thank you," Rumi said through a smile as she took the ball from him after it was finished. As she waited for news on Rattata's condition, Rumi started to scan the people in the room. There was nothing out of the ordinary for what she typically saw in a Pokémon Center. There were trainers talking about their pokémon with other trainers, people were healing there pokémon, and some people were already claiming lounges as night was quickly approaching. Overall, there was nothing that interested her... well, not until her eyes fell upon a certain someone. A smile slowly creeping to her face as she locked eyes with the familiar person. He appeared to be resting on one of the few seats in the Center and was already looking over at Rumi. Pushing her way back through the line of people, Rumi made her way over to where Ace was sitting. "I'm glad you made it," Rumi said cheerfully, obviously pleased to see Ace. Her expression then changed however, and it seemed that she was confused about something. "I didn't see you on the ship though..." Rumi wanted to ask him about this, but was suddenly interrupted by someone behind her. It was the same nurse as before. "This Rattata should be fine now, who knows what would have happened if you hadn't brought him in. He seems to have rather taken a shine to you though." "No thanks," Rumi replied without giving any moment of thought. There was nothing to consider, Rattata was not a water type. Now that she saw the pokémon was healed, Rumi no longer felt any need to care for it, "Feel free to do whatever you want with the Rattata, I no longer have any responsibility for it," Rumi said, and turned her back to the nurse to continue where she was before she was so rudely interrupted. "Did you manage to get the ship?" Rumi asked, foolishly thinking that the reason why she hadn't seen him was because he hadn't gotten on board. She then sat down on the soft chair beside him, waiting for his explanation. |

The Pokémon centre seemed absolutely packed. The people were crammed into a lineup with all sorts of needs. They tapped their feet, made small talk, complained to some uncaring diety, came in, left, got what they came for, got sent to different lines after an hour wait, whatever one could imagine. It almost made Ace feel bad about lazing across four of the cherished lounge chairs. Almost. Oblivious to common courtesy the trainer drifted off into sleep. The cruise was supposed to be relaxing, but travel always made Ace tired, no matter what sort it was. He quickly drifted off into a slew of the usual meaningless dreams. ((Figments of my imagination are -not- godmodding)) He was at an amusement park, he was working, as a mascot. Going to lunch he took off his giant Charmander head and met a girl at one of the heavily graffiteed picnic benches near the cafeteria. Dark skin from working in the sun. Dark hair, that had been looking fantastic this morning but was now ragged. Looking bored out of her mind. Wearing a gift shop uniform only she could make sexy. He asked her what she wanted. "Salad." He came back with two cheesburgers. "Put some meat on those bones." Ace's left eye opened slowly. It urged him to close it again but he was worried about the time. No clock from the horizontal view. He sat up, placing Mariah's case across the three seats he no longer inhabited. He looked as his wrist. Watch stolen. God I wish I had a cellphone. Ace did a quick mental check list of his remaining possessions. Apparently the watch had been the only thing worth stealing. He looked at his other wrist. Watch had stopped. Groaning the boy let his head fall back and ran a hand up his face. Getting bristled by two-days of not shaving and the remaining uneveness of a few acne-scars. Shaking himself finally awake he stared off into space. Blinking strongly a few times out of habit Ace had the misfourtune of realizing he was staring at a particularily inopportune section of space. Meeting his non-gaze were a pair of dark brown eyes, complete with that black mascara and heriditary slant he'd normally find attractive. It was 'Miss Queen Of the See! Look at me!' herself. Oh how nice it was for old friends to meet. The conversation he'd over heard between her and a couple of her girlfriends was still clear in his mind these years later. Claiming that he was in a 'delicate state' and she had to 'throw the match.' Apparently the defeat was so soul crushing she had forgotten the last minute Bubblebeam she had ordered Starmie to preform. To which Charmeleon had responded with a well timed flash, followed by a herculean leap and the finishing blow. It was a friendly anyway. It's not like there was anything on the line. He was just going to have to reject her company now, just like he rejected her victory back then. Unfortunately that was going to be more difficult than he first reckoned. As Rumi crossed the distance between them Ace was suddenly filled with an irritably powerful urge to be nice to her. The self-styled fire trainer knew exactly why this was, but it didn't stop the self-loathing that was part and parcel of it. She may look more...mature. But inside she's still that same annoying little girl. Rumi was younger than Ace, and he milked it for all it was worth. "I'm glad you made it." the girl spouted cheerfully. Ace was beyond pleased that she had lost the ear-piercing pitch of younger days, and had moved to a pleasent tone that would make people far overestimate her age. Her warmsmile quickly turned into a look of confusion. "I didn't see you on the ship though..." To say Ace was taken-aback would be a grave undersatement. "Ah" he began, but Rumi's attention was mercifully taken away by a man with a Rattata. Well well, don't we feel stupid now. Shut up, it's not like that. Oh no no no, it's too good. Couldn't you see her this well from the pool? I thought shut up and help me think of a lie. Swam? I don't like you... The truth was Rumi was absolutely breathtaking. The past two years had been amazingly well to her petitie frame, that now came with an appealing shape. She looked older in the face, losing the rest of her baby fat to showcase her cheek bones. Not to mention her eyes, still dark, but easily twice as alluring, catching his gaze like a trap. He wondered if she could see right through him. "No thanks, feel free to do whatever you want with Rattata, I no longer have any responsibility for it." Now that threw Ace for a wide look. He couldn't imagine tossing away a perfectly good Pokémon. PC accounts were invented for a reason. But it dawned on him. No water, no interest. Pitifull. Then again...am I the same way? He reflected Sprout. The poor naiver Bulbasaur who seemed to interperet his contempt as tough love. Maybe it was time to start taking her training seriously. "Did you manage to get the ship? Rumi interrupted, tossing on that delightful drawl that followed her words everywhere. "Nah," Ace genuninly laughed. "Swam...but really I was in cabin 209. But what about you? How was it? It's been a while innit? The room suddenly felt hot, and Ace hoped he wasn't blushing from embarrasment. "Umm, you should fill me in. While we''re out getting something to eat?" It was supposed to be a command. But he couldn't keep the rising tone out of the end of the statement. It probably would've been best to stop there. But Ace couldn't stop himself from entering PokeManiac mode. "An' it would be beyond awesome if I could take over care of that Rattata. Little buggers eat like a mofo, but once those canines get long and thick enough to Hyperfang they're one gigantic Pin Needle in the side ah the other trainers out there."[color] |

There wasn't really much to Rumi's statements and question, so the momentary silence from the young man opposite her intrigued the water type trainer. What did he need to think so deeply about? Either way, it didn't matter, they both managed to meet at the arranged place. Rumi took the time while she was waiting for his reply to look over his features. It had been almost two full years since Rumi had seen Ace, and yet, he had barely changed at all. His shoulders were slightly broader and he seemed to be taller than before. Last time they weer together, Ace and Rumi were the same height, which she would never let him forget. Now, however, it seemed that he had at least an inch on her. Rumi then recalled the last time she had seen Ace. It wasn't the best farewell, in fact it was one of the worst. While there was far from any bad feelings between the two trainers, the reason why the two had to split was tragic. Ace had received a sudden phone call while the two were eating on top of Celedon Department store. The call brought news that his father had died, and then Ace was on the first ship home. There was hardly any time for a proper goodbye. The sound of Ace's voice then snapped Rumi out of her flashback, and back to reality. "Nah," He laughed. Well then how did you manage to get here? Rumi thought and was about to ask, when her question was suddenly answered before she got the chance. "Swam..." Rumi's eyes widened in shock, but quickly narrowed in disbelief. There was no way he could have possibly swam here. Then, after a pause, he admitted the truth. "...but really I was in cabin 209. But what about you? How was it? It's been a while innit?" "You were on the ship then?" Rumi asked, but it was more for herself to try and make sense of the situation. If he had been there, why hadn't he looked for her? "Did you know I was on the ship?" she asked, though not really wanting to know the answer. Luckily Ace brought a fast, yet obvious, subject change when he mentioned how long it had been. "Yes it has been a while." "Umm, you should fill me in. While we''re out getting something to eat?" Rumi wasn't really hungry, but she would enjoy the taking part, not only telling Ace what she had been up to, but also hearing about him too. There was only one problem. If the two were to leave the chair, it would surely get taken by the time they got back. Looking around, Rumi noticed that all the other chairs were already taken, which kind of made her feel awkward, since there was two of them (Ace and Rumi) and only one lounge. So it would be best to just give up the chair anyway. "That sounds great! Let's go," Rumi said, standing up. Ace then started to speak up once again, "An' it would be beyond awesome if I could take over care of that Rattata. Little buggers eat like a mofo, but once those canines get long and thick enough to Hyperfang they're one gigantic Pin Needle in the side ah the other trainers out there." Rumi felt her eye twitch as she tried her hardest to calm her short temper. "I think we have had this conversation enough for you to know by now the reason why I would never take the Rattata," Rumi stopped, but then suddenly thought of a good idea. "Since you seem to like it so much, why don't you have it? I will take it and give it to you." "Excuse me Mr.." Rumi called after the male Nurse. "I have had a sudden change of heart... I would actually like to take the Rattata," Rumi spoke, her voice was sweet. Rumi then took a Pokéball from her bag, ready to receive the rat pokémon. |

So two old friends had managed to magically bump into each other inside of the Pokécenter, though it was not unheard of just odd. Out of all the places you both could have been it just so happens that you two were here. If you asked me this was either this was the opening scene to a Romantic Comedy or was all planed. But regardless you two were now here and that’s all that mattered. Well that and the whole Rattata problem. The poor thing didn’t take Rumi’s rejection well. He had high hopes for traveling with her and now that he unable to it wouldn’t be long before he would be released back into freezing cold weather and have to fight for even the smallest scrap of food. Even though being captured would mean losing its freedom Rattata was more than willing to give it up just for chance to live without the insecurity of where its next meal would come from. Alas there was nothing Rattata could do to change her mind for her friend had already. The nurse, oddly male, who was on his way to return the Rattata to the infirmary for holding, had turned in his tracks after hearing Rumi’s call. “So you had a change of heart, eh? Very well I guess he’s yours”, the nurse replied happily. Rattata was overjoyed. He was finally going to have a…home. Without a second thought Rattata practically leaped out of the nurse’s arms and into Remi’s pokeball. Within seconds after being absorbed into the Pokeball a *ding* was heard and Rattata was caught. The lack of a struggle signified how willing the Rattata was to join Remi’s Party. Now that you had the Rattata you two could trade it without a hitch, though it would be nice to get something in your stomach first. Luckily for the both of you they’re tons of venders around Tohea that sold everything from Ice Cream to Hot Dog, so all that was left for you two to do was to find the one that suited you. |

The moonlit streets of Tohea made Ace uncomfortable. The night to him was something to be dark, and staying up through it was a right of passage, a thing of bravery. Lighting up the entire night seemed like a crime. However he supposed Cinnebar was a much safer place at night than this city. He found himself glancing down alleyways on the off chance that something posed a danger to him or his company It was decently warm here, but he wondered how it would feel to Rumi wearing so...little. Once again he thought about his unwashed hair, body, and clothes. Someone like Rumi would find it disgusting, a person who took pride in her appearance, finding a very conventional sense of the world beauty. It was like looking for a house. Someone like Rumi wanted the perfect house with high ceilings and large bathrooms and what have you. Someone like Ace wanted a house that was unique in someway. That had some unique feature a Rumi would find as a flaw. But someone more 'open minded' (weird) would love it. Which was precisely why it was going to take Ace much longer to find a house (girl) he was willing to commit to than Rumi. Ace was uncomfortable because everything felt like a date. Maybe you just want it to feel that way. Shut up. Ace definately did -not- want it to feel like a date. Yes, he did. All of his memories of Rumi were unpleasant at best. No matter how good estrogen had been to her he couldn't just forget them. He wondered what sort of food she'd want. The obvious guess was some sort of sea-food. However maybe she had some sort of moral qualms with that. He just hoped she wasn't a vegetarian. Nothing is a bigger turn off than a girl who can't eat. Ace was really up for anything. Food was food to him. He had no real preferences. Most people detested his cooking because he wasn't afraid to try unconventional flavors. Sure maybe cold salsa wasn't -good- with everything, but at least it was interesting. Which was precisely the kind of reason a person like Rumi would never go on a date with a person like him. "So? You wanna hot dog or something?" If I wasn't an abstract concept I'd smack you. Edited by Blazeeee, Jan 13 2009, 02:49 AM.
