{{Excuse me if this is horrible, it's been a while since I did a Journey-Start.}} Here you were, starting anew on the island of Tohea, in the expansive and incredibly-bright City of Wayford! Of course, Wayford isn't the smallest city in Tohea, heck, it isn't even the largest, but it IS one of the best cities for incoming trainers because its stocked with TONS of items for trainers to catch, train, and heal Pokémon! Of course, right now I don't think that matters because, since you are barely starting out here, you probably wont be needing anything else than the pokeballs you already have. Not for a while anyways. Either way, as you wandered through the bright city of Wayford, where the rays of the sun reflected off the marble buildings, you found yourself near a small area of water where you could release your Relicanth. Though, all around you there were small trees and shrubs, so it was possible that somewhere there was a Grass-Type or Poison-Type lurking, watching you. So, what'd you wanna do? You could always stick around and bond with Relicanth, or you could just... turn away and head back to the city :D |

It was such a beautiful day, the sun was warm, the ocean air was crisp. It was the perfect day to catch some wild Pokémon. Indeed there was some grass nearby and starting out with just a party of one was asking for trouble, though starting to look for new Pokémon with only three pokeballs wasn't exactly a smart idea ether. Decisions decisions, deciding that indeed it was a good idea to expand his team as early as possible Hiei wandered into the grassy patches looking for a new Pokémon. What would he find, who knew? Before wandering into the grass any further he took his shoes off, then he wandered in. In his mind he was replaying the events of that day four years ago over in his mind, the day he decided to become a Pokémon trainer and to find that Absol that had saved him. He wasn't paying attention and ended up stubbing his toe on a rock, "OUCH!!" he fell over and began to rub his foot, reaching outside the grass he put his shoes back on and silently vowed to never take them off again while near patches of grass. A stupid idea it was to take his shoes off, never again, never again and yet it was a good day. Indeed today was a good day. Edited by Seraph, Dec 3 2008, 10:56 PM.

Taking your shoes off seemed like a good idea at the time. Feeling the ground and grass beneith your feet is just plain relaxing. Although, day-dreaming while walking wound up being hazardous to your health. Your scream alerted others in the area to your presence. As you gingerly walked back to your shoes, vowing never to walk barefoot again, something dropped silently from a tree to the ground behind you. Putting your shoes back on allowed whatever it is to sneak up behind you. Finally, it was right behind you, when she chirped, "Pidgey!" You turn around to see a small Pidgey staring at you curiously with her head cocked to the side, as if to say, "What's the matter?" Lv. 5 ![]() So, what now? Will you try to capture this little Pidgey or go on your way? At least if you do decide to battle, there is a small pond for your Relicanth to move around in. |

Still cursing intenerally, Hiei deiceed to sit down on the grass. It wasn't until he heard the flapping of wings and the chirp that he turned around and saw the pidgey looking at him curiously. This was his chance to catch it, he was no expert on Pokémon but from the chirping it sounded like a girl. He almost stuck his hand out to pet it but he knew it would just bite his finger and fly away if he tried to touch it. He'd pet her all he wanted when he had caught her. So he grabbed his pokeball with Relicant in it and called him forth, "Lets do this my friend!" the pokeball opened and shot its red beam of energy into the water which formed into Relicanth. Relicanth let out is call and it looked like it was ready for battle, he could tell Relicanth was going to be a brute of a Pokémon. Hiei was already gettign a feel for Relicanth even though they had only been together for 2 weeks. Still he knew Relicanth would be a well listened brute and would only fight when he told him to. Now was the time, "Dive down, build up speed, and tackle that pidgey into submission!!". |

Your first battle and your ready to go. You released Relicanth and, although you can't exactly see his eyes, he was just as ready as you. The Pidgey seemed to understand what was about to happen and fluttered over to the pool. She watched the rippled surface with intent. This particular Pidgey must have Keen Eye, because it kept watching every move your Relicanth made under the water. Regardless, Relicanth dove down deep into the water, or as deep as he could go. He then changed directions and shot up at the Pidgey. She was anticipating the attack. From her angle, it appeared as though was coming out at about a 45 degree angle at her, when actually, Relicanth was climbing at almost a 90 degree angle. Pidgey fluttered upwards where she thought she was safe from the assault. Apparently, Pidgey don't know physics. Relicanth finally emerged from the water. She realized her mistake too late though and got pummeled by your rock-hard fish. Pidgey recoiled high into the air and recovered, but looked to be in pain. You would too if a giant rock slammed into your stomache. She looked frustrated by her current circumstances, namely being unable to go in the water without getting bogged down by wet feathers. Pidgey resorted to flying around the edge of the pool. Now she'll see you coming next time. That was a good round, but maybe you should give more attacks next time. One attack won't do much to help usually. It can also give your opponent an advantage, and you don't want that. Ok, it was time to get serious, seriously. Aeon looked right in that Pidgey's eyes and smiled, that kind of disarming smile that put your deffenses down, it was a dangerous smile. His eyes then scanned the water, underneath his Relicanth was lurking, ready to strike. Hiei was plotting, formulating a plan, and one came to him he opened his eyes again that he had closed once he started getting into deep thoughts. Somewhere in his mind, music was playing, hardcore music. "Alright lets do this, Relicanth, I want you to speed up as fast as possible (agility) then use harden to the max before tackling that pidgey into the ground!" It was a brutal move, a devestating move, and it would no doubt put the pidgey on the edge of defeat if it connected, if it didn't he'd do it again, and again, and again till it did or until the pidgey submited to him. It was game time now, the kid gloves were off. he wanted this pidgey baddly he only hoped that it would forgive him for the rough treatment it got before he possibly caught it. Now he waited for Relicanth to follow his orders. Now he waited for this little battle to draw to a close. |

Hmm, hardcore music floating through your mind? Would that be Heavy Metal or Hard Rock. Bad joke, I know, but I couldn't resist. Doing this at two in the morning doesn't help my thought processes very much. Enough of my woes, you want to know what the heck happened in your battle, and frankly my dear, I don't give a dam. Just had to put that movie reference there. Anyway, it's time to see what happened. Your fossil of a fish heard your commands, although it makes me wonder how it doesn't end up all gargled. I have to stop these tangents. So then, Relicanth meditated for a few moments, lightening his body and boosting speed. He then readied himself for the upcoming strike and hardened his body. It seemed counter-intuitive, but it still worked. Relicanth then spotted his target above the water. He plotted the best possible intersect point and made his way toward it. Pidgey wasn't completely oblivious to your assault, she could see your fishy swimming around, and prepared herself to Tackle him right back. It was at this point Relicanth shot upwards out of the water. He was much faster this time and Pidgey only got some of her speed behind it before colliding. The hit was brutal, but more so for Pidgey. Her little body couldn't take the sheer force that Relicanth brought. For added insult to injury, Relicanth then pointed himself down toward the ground. Pidgey had nowhere to go. There was an audible thud at the second impact, which probably made you cringe. Yes, you, especially if you wanted your bird alive. Catching it now may be the wisest thing you could ever do. Hurry and take her to a Pokémon Center, and soon. Lv. 5 ![]() 32/35 83%(Speed +1, Defense +1) Lv. 5 ![]() 2/35 94%

Hiei silently noted everything that was happening. This battle was over the minute relicanth shot out of the water, ready to end this. Then the two of them collided mid air, a perfect tackle. He watched the pidgey spin out and hit the ground. He wasn't ready for relicanth to make another move. Did he order relicanth to do that? If he did he was regretting it now. He cringed, the sound of the pidgey hitting the ground was sickening, it almost made him hurl. He felt bad for the poor thing now and threw the pokeball quickly. Waiting for it to hit he scoped it up and didn't wait to see if the capture had gone through. He recalled relicanth and began to run as fast as he could to the nearest Pokémon center. He hoped he'd make it there in time. |

You threw the Pokeball and it promptly drew in Pidgey with a flash of light. Mere moments later, the lock made a bell like noise, signifying a capture. Congradulations! Although, I don't know if congradulations is in order yet, Pidgey did get pummeled pretty good. Knowing you civil duties, you withdrew Relicanth before running to the Pokémon Center. The red roof was an obvious giveaway as to it's location, so you found it easily. All the while, storm clouds were gathering above you. Shelter might be good right now, but there's the Pokémon Center. Rushing inside, you found a nurse waiting at the front counter. You quickly produced your Pokeballs, and she took them and placed them on the healing machine. You made it in time, but now, you have a few minutes to kill before your Pokémon are done being healed. You look around and find most of the people and/or trainers huddled around the television. The broadcaster was saying that wild Pokémon have been disappearing lately. It has gotten so bad that even Pidgey and Rattata are becoming scarce. Rare Pokémon have vanished all together in the wild. Just think, you might have just gotten one of the last Pidgey out there. But then, wouldn't your own Pokémon disappear too? The man on the television continued by saying that trainer's Pokémon are not being effected. That's good to know. You turned back to the nurse pulling your Pokeballs off of the machine. She wished you a good day, before a news flash came across the television. It drew everyone close to see and hear what they were going to say next. The broadcaster looked to be a bit shaken by the news he was about to read off, but pushed down the lump in his throat and began speaking. He said that within the storm clouds, were the images of many large Pokémon fighting each other. The man was cut off here because he started muttering something about the Apocalypse being upon Tohea. This started up more conversation in the lobby. However, you took your leave to get supplies at the Pokémart. As you walked, you looked up to see dark images flashing through the sky. Maybe they'll go away soon. You were so entranced by it, you almost missed the shop completely. You entered and saw a sign on the door, they were having a sale, 4 pokeballs for the price of 3. You are now free to browse as you please, just let the man at the counter know what you want when your done. gained 25 from the capture. ((If you can't get more than two paragraphs for your next post, I'll be disappointed.))

Success!! He had made it there on time, and not a moment too soon, that pidgey was in bad shape when he caught it so he was happy to get his pokeballs back. Before he was able to let his new pidgey out though something piqued his interest. The TV broadcast was talking about something, what was it? He had to get closer, so he did, he walked over and listened to the news. And what news there was to listen to... "WHAT!!??" he explained, he felt his knees go weak, his head felt fuzzy, he could see those shapes, the shapes of the Pokémon. He could have sworn he had seen those shapes before somewhere, was it on a field trip? No, no, he had seen shapes like that in his dreams, dark haunting shapes of large Pokémon. He needed some air, he needed to get away from the TV. He ran out of the Pokémon center and into the Pokémart close by. Once inside he felt a bit better, good enough to browse around a bit. After this he planned to let his pidgey out and give her a name, the only reason he didn't name Relicanth was because he couldn't think of anything awesome to name him; the name Rocky sounded dull and unoriginal. After looking around a bit he spotted the sign on the deal for pokeballs, checking his pocket he dug out some money...and decided not to take advantage of the deal. He had two pokeballs left and new bigger things were out there so it was best to start early. He grabbed two greatballs off the shelf and walked over to the counter and placed them there. "I'd like these" Hiei said. |

The store clerk looked bored. Without any wild Pokémon around, business is slow. So, when he saw you ask for two greatballs, he said, "That'll be $240." You cringed at the amount, but let go of your money. Besides, you now have two greatballs to use. Exciting, isn't it? Well, not as exciting as what's about to happen. You walked out of the store, quite happy with your purchase. However, something was going down and fast. In the distance, you could see two bright lights, one pink, one purple. They kept clashing and sending off waves of energy. Even at this distance it was pure, raw power; and if you were keen enough to notice, it was psychic power. By the looks of it, they looked something like this: Lv. ??? Lv. ???While you were staring at the ensuing battle, a Gardevoir teleported next to you. She held her hand out to you before speaking telepathicly to you. She said, "This place is about to be destroyed by those two. If you want to live, take my hand." She had a very concerned look on her face, one of fear and concern. Your only chance of survival may be this Gardevoir. Make your decision quickly, the two waring Pokémon are getting closer... Lv. 58

Happy indeed, Hiei was with the fact he now had two greatballs, perfect for catching more powerful Pokémon when they Pokémon did come back. He hoped they would soon, soon he'd be leaving Wayford...he just didn't know now soon that would be. He could feel it before he saw it. You could say he was always a bit more intune with the natural world than most people. Way before the lights appeared he felt it, the disturbance is the natural tranquility in Wayford. Then they appeared, a clash of light and sound that signified the rumblings of what the clouds heralded. Legends had awakened. Off in the distance he could see them, Mewtwo and Mew, he had once read about them in textbooks but this was his first time seeing the two titans alive. He imediatly took out his camera and snapped off a few photos of them in action. His camera had a pretty good lense so he was able to capture the battle in all its glory. After that though he felt the same kind of disturbance, then the Gardevoir appeared. Now he had to admit some Pokémon were truly beautiful, Gardevoir was one of them, it took him about a minute to formulate words to say to her. "I...me...you...they...bui?" he looked confused but the concern in her voice convinced him to trust her. He took her hand and smiled then said, "Take me anywhere you want to, as long as its safe". Hiei didn't know it yet, but this was the start of his journey that would take him to the far flung reaches of imagination. |
