Hooloo looked at the creature known as Seviper and glared angrily or something. He leered. Yeah that's it. He leered. Whatever that means. Anyways, the Seviper looked right back at your Cthooloo trying to imitate the effect. The crazy kid dressed in black looked at you with contempt and said, "Soulless, stop messing around. Use Wrap to trip the creature up. After all, we did learn that they are pretty stupid." The snake Pokémon smiled viciously and dove right at your Pokémon behemoth. The eldritch creature didn't move as it began to flap its wings, stirring up a vicious wind.

The wind picked up the flying snake as it tried to curl around Hooloo's legs. As the wind gained intensity, the snake began to lose velocity and just as it reached Hooloo's legs. The snake went straight backwards into the creepy kid and it wrapped its body around the kids legs. The kid screamed and cursed until Seviper realized its mistake and let go. It coiled sheepishly next to him as he glared viciously at you.

Meanwhile, Hooloo was stomping its feet and calling "LOO!" Obviously, it was happy. Anyways, the black cloaked kid said to you, "Good work. Can you handle this, though? Soulless, use Toxic Fang." He grinned as a confused look hit your face. Toxic Fang? What could that be? Obviously, Soulless knew what it was as he dove towards Hooloo with gusto. Your move.

So, they were having a stare off, how cute. But, the kid called for his snake to use Wrap as Hooloo started the Gust. Oh, if only he had a camera to take a picture of the kid's face after being wrapped by his own Seviper. Priceless. But hey, it made Hooloo happy to see it too. However, this kid still had some spunk and told his Seviper to us an attack called Toxic Fang.

The attack name threw Rai for a loop because there is no such attack by that name, which can only mean that he's trying to be creative. Well, one such possibility with that combo would be combining Bite and Toxic, which involves making physical contact. He may not be completely right, but that is one possibility.

Rai quickly thought of a few vulgar come backs involving his mom, but dismissed them for something less derogatory. He instead said, "I can handle it, and so can my Cthooloo." Back to Hooloo, Rai said, "Hooloo, you need to side step that attack, what ever it is, then Bite it, before following up with a Body Slam. I know your smarter than that kid gives you credit for, so show him what your made of." That little ending might just add a little more incentive to make this set of attacks a success. You should not call something names when it's almost twice your size and standing right in front of you. That should be a life lesson.

Your commands to Hooloo went to him quite well, but though the monster was big, and quite powerful, it was a tad lacking in the speed department, and though it had used Agility, so had the Seviper, and like snakes normally were, Soulless was fast. It sped toward your Cthoolhoo, slithering along the ground quickly, violet venom dripping from its fangs as it approached. Hooloo leapt upward, beating its wings to gain more ground as it tried to avoid the attack. However, Sevipers were nearly eight feet long in their own right, and its fangs locked around Hooloo's foot.

The poison was injected into your monster, but as the two landed from their brief aerial battle, you could tell that Madness has finally come to play a part in the battle, as the Seviper looked to be more than a little confused. Taking advantage of this, your Cthoolhoo's tentacles picked up the snake, using its own, hidden fangs to bite down into its body before using its arms and tentacles together in a powerful body slam. The Seviper hit the ground and rolled a little bit before getting up, trying to shake off the confusion.

"What is your problem, Soulless? This is just another dumb Cthoolhoo. We beat one, didn't we? C'mon!" he said, looking just a bit irritated that this fight wasn't going the way that he'd wanted it to. And you really couldn't blame him. But the fact that this one was in the roster of a trainer, and not wild, probably added to its ability. Either way, though Hooloo was poisoned, and pretty bad, too, that last round had give you the edge. Now you just had to end it before the poison spread too far.

Darn it; why do Cthooloos have to be so slow? Rai watched helplessly as the snake charged in with it's poison dripping from its fangs. Hooloo tried to dodge it, but failed, and got bit in the leg. The one good thing that came out of that round is the fact that Madness took affect and the rest of its attacks hit home. This kid is getting to be a real pain in the butt, and not just because of his battle style, but his attitude too.

Rai then got a look at the bite mark on Hooloo's leg, and it looked bad. It probably won't last much longer than a few rounds, at best, before the poison takes control. Rai tried thinking of a few possibilities, but it's going to be a close fight to the finish. He said to Hooloo, "You can't let that poison get to you. Use Agility, then blow them away with Gust. You need to keep your distance from that Seviper, at least for now." Poison is such a pain.

As Hooloo started speeding around the main area with Agility, the other trainer obviously was trying to think of something to combat your monster. "Try for another Wrap attack, Soulless. We need to stop that thing from moving to make it easier for you to attack it. Then use your Egg Move. You know the one." Great, more bad news for you. The real question was, what exactly was the said Egg Move? Hopefully nothing too fatal....

Despite his confusion, Soulless was somehow able to slither in the general direction of Hooloo; obviously the snake's confusion was starting to wear off a bit. However, Hooloo's heightened speed prevented the thing from putting your monster "under wraps", so to speak. Taking to the air before the snake could reach him, your Cthooloo glared down at his snake-like opponent and flapped its wings wildly, sending a Gust in the creature's direction. As the snake was confused, it was too late for him to dodge; the Seviper hit the ground in a crumpled heap, but he was still far from done.

Rearing up, the snake let out a murderous hiss and launched himself in the air at Hooloo, his confusion completely gone. Obviously that last hit from your side had cleared the beast's head somehow. Soulless's tail started glowing a light bluish color, and he whacked his tail with deadly precision at your surprised monster. The Aqua Tail definitely caused a decent amount of damage, but luckily for you your monster was a partial water type.

Regardless your Cthooloo still hit the ground from the force of the Aqua Tail, and the thud of his bulk caused something to be dislodged from the dirt and to hit your shoe. Bending down to inspect it, you found yourself looking at a crystal-red rock with an emblem of fire on its surface...a fire stone. Interesting find indeed, as apparently it had been dropped some time in the past and covered by time. You'd find a use for it...correct?

Rai was getting more and more annoyed with this kid the longer this battle wore on. He had called out for an Egg Move now too? How many attacks does this Seviper know? Either way, the Agility - Gust combo worked, but managed to undo the confusion, allowing the snake to hit with an Aqua Tail. Thank goodness that Hooloo's a partial water type.

Although, when it hit the ground something red flew up and at him from the ground. A firestone landed at his feet. Wow, never would have known that was there. Rai picked it up and pocketed it. That could come in handy later.

Back to the battle at hand. Rai said, "Come on Hooloo, you need to get up. Strike back with Bite and Body Slam. You can do it."

This battle had been going back and forth for too long now. It seemed that both Pokémon were an equal match for the other. But, that annoying kid in black wouldn’t be giving up anytime soon. And really, could you blame him? He may be a jerk, but he’s still a Pokémon trainer too. He wouldn’t be a very good one if he’d just surrender.

You pocketed the Firestone, thankful to find such a rare item. It would be nice if you had a fiery Pokémon to use the item with now wouldn’t it? In your pocket, you could feel it’s warmth spreading across your thigh. It was pleasant and relaxing feeling. But, that other kid had seen the red object as well. “Hey! What was that? That’s mine!” That seemed doubtful.

“Ok Soulless, use Wrap on the legs, and them get a big Bite out of him!” The kid ordered. The black snake coiled, then shot forth, trying hard to reach your Pokémon. But, you smirked as you saw the snake’s eyes cross about half way towards your Cthooloo. Maybe it was still confused. The Seviper slid across the ground, landing at Hooloo’s feet. It was hard to tell, but Hooloo was smiling.

The giant, blue Pokémon reached down and grabbed the snake in it’s tiny mouth. The snake squealed as your monster took a Bite out of it’s scaly hide. The Seviper slithered, and jerked. He finally broke free and landed on the ground, shaking his head. The snake was lightning fast as he struck out with the Bite attack of his own.

This greatly angered your Cthooloo. He roared as he beat his wings strongly. He gained a foot or two off the ground. He hovered just over the snake, before his wings stopped beating. His entire mass fell upon the snake below him, with a powerful Body Slam.

The Seviper was hanging on by a thread. He was also Confused. Hooloo was doing a touch better, but was suffering from poison. It was time to wrap this up. Hurst was still waiting.

Rai almost couldn't contain his laughter for two reasons. One, the kid obviously didn't know that the firestone was there and was trying to claim it as his own. And two, the face of the cross-eyed Seviper. It probably shouldn't have been funny, so Hooloo took care of that by Biting it back to it's senses. The snake bit back, but Body Slam does a little more damage.

This battle was practically in the bag, so to speak. Now all that remained was to deal the finishing blow. Then, maybe get some well deserved shut-eye. But first, Rai said, "Hooloo, your doing great. Now, finish that snake off with a Gust, but if that doesn't work, use Tackle." This should be the end of the Seviper.

You ordered Hooloo and was anxious for this battle to get over. Hooloo charged forwards but stopped a short distance and launched a Gust at the Seviper. Seviper was fast enough and dodged the attack.

Good job Seviper! Now show this moron who's boss and use Bite!

Well that was a little harsh! The Seviper slithered towards Hooloo and jumped up to Bite on you Cthooloo. Hooloo flew up high to get more force in its Body Slam. The Seviper missed and Hooloo fell down on top of it. Hooloo stood up and the Seviper was out and wasn't going to get up. Let's hope that the kid doesn't through a fit and demand a rematch.

This match is over! Finally you can rest easily.

Congratulations!

Hooloo charged in before using the gust, although the Seviper just slithered out of the way. Unfortunately for it and the kid, Hooloo then used Body Slam, even though Rai called for a Tackle. Either way, it still got the job done, KOing the Seviper rather effectively. Now all that remained was a goth kid, turned emo.

The kid was practically crying his eyes out but still managed to return his Seviper. Rai walked up to him, returning his now stronger Hooloo to it's ball. The kid looked up between sobs, muttering something about telling his mom. He threw a small wad of cash at Rai's face as he ran away into the evening.

Rai shook his head, but didn't bother calling after him. He never told his name, but did it matter at this point... Not really. Laughing silently to himself, he looked up at the sky to see the last rays of sunlight escaping over the horizon. Rai yawned before sitting down at the base of the tree. A good night's sleep would do everyone some good. Before long, Rai was drifting off to sleep, ready for the morning to come.

((Yeah...that was decent bit of Godmoding the other kid. I'd refrain from doing that in the future. Luckily for you, I didn't have any real plans for the kid, so you don't have to redo your post :P ))

After the sound beating you gave the goth kid, it was time for you to get some well-earned rest. Choosing the tree, you settled down, getting nice and cozy as the last few vestiges of sunlight vanished over the horizon, leaving the area around you wreathed in shadows and minimal light from the reflection of the sun off of the clouds and other atmospheric particles. All was quiet, save for the occasional noise of Pokémon, and it wasn't too long before you'd drifted off to sleep.

Dreams of being champion, of defeating every annoying goth kid who stood in your way were soon, or at least it felt soon, interrupted by both the sun's rays, and a chirping sound at your feet. Cracking open one eye, you could vaguely make out a Spearow, its beak poking at your shoelaces, as it thought they were worms. Too bad for the creature, not only were they not worms, they belonged to you. And you were a trainer.

As your foot shifted, the Spearow hopped back, chirping angrily at you as it fluttered its wings, hopping back a few steps. Apparently it wanted those worms, no matter what giant was in its way. It gave another angry squawk and jabbed at your feet with its sharpened beak. Luckily, you managed to move your foot, but you might want to pull out one of your creatures to defend yourself before this vicious little bird tears you to pieces.

((I know, I know. It may have been a little over the top, but the ending of Logar's post seemed incomplete, so I improvised.))

The evening was pleasant, quiet, and peaceful. Rai soon found himself unable to stay awake any more. As he slept, he dreamed of how he crushed that goth kid. Later it switched to him becoming champion with all his Pokémon beside him. There was Meganium and Hooloo, but all the others were blurry and no matter how much he tried, Rai couldn't focus on them. He could guess by their shape that there was at least one flying above him, but still couldn't tell.

It was at this point that he was rudely interrupted by a pecking at his shoe. The sun was already bright but he could still make out the image of a Spearow. It seemed to be pecking at the shoelaces like they were worms or something. Rai moved his foot a bit, which wound up pissing it off. Yelling angrily, it lunged at his foot. He pulled it back just in time to avoid the full blow. Now, this is just getting rediculous.

Rai pulled out Chikorita's ball and tossed it lightly in front of him. Chikorita popped out looking just as groggy as Rai felt. Apparently early morning isn't a good time for battling, for either of them. After rubbing his eyes for a quick moment, he said, "Hey, wake up Chikorita. We've got a live Spearow here and he means business. Use Growl, then Agility to dodge it's attacks." Hopefully, they will be awake enough after this round to get to the real battle.

You were being woken up to something peaking at your feet. But I dont wanna get up! you started to say. You woke up and saw it was a Spearow who was peaking at your shoelaces. You moved your foot and it moved back ready to attack you so you called out your Chikorita and gave it orders.

Chikorita gave a Growl at the Spearow to lower it attack and it was in good timing too. The Spearow was coming at you ready to Peak. The attack was super-effective! That's the bad part. Chikorita was still able to run around and raise it speed. It was just a little late on that.

The first round is over and it didn't really go so well. Maybe you should call out Hooloo to help?

Chikorita did lower the Spearow's attack, but wasn't quite quick enough to use Agility. The Peck did plenty of damage, which Rai was not at all happy to see. Although, this only seemed to get Chikorita more awake and attentive to the battle. He knew that this would be a hard battle to begin with, but they should still come out pretty even.

Rai then said, "Alright Chikorita, I need you to use Tackle, then follow up with a Body Slam. That ought to do nicely. Just remember to keep dodging those pecks." If things got too bad, Hooloo might not be able to come through. Rai didn't know if it would be recovered after a night's rest or not. Therefore, if Chikorita can't handle the Spearow, it will be a long run back to the Pokémon Center from here with a Spearow chasing him the whole way. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

The angry red bird hopped from one foot to the next. It was early morning, and he had just wanted his breakfast! Now, the bird had bitten off more than it could chew, as it was facing off against your Chikorita in a battle! Maybe it should have just flown off after all.

But Chikorita wasn’t giving the Spearow a chance to flee. He raced in there, slamming into the bird with everything he had. The Tackle hit hard, sending the bird rolling back, and into a bush. Chikorita stepped back, trying to spot it’s target. Wow, he meant business this morning!

The Spearow flew out of the bush, his beak cutting through the air in a Peck attack. But, Chikorita was ready for this, and used his heightened speed to dodge out of the way. Now that the bird was close, Chikorita jumped into the air. He curled into a green ball, and landed on the bird-Pokémon with a big Body Slam.

Your Pokémon had landed two attacks successfully in a row. He was getting good at fighting. The bird sized up your Pokémon again, and started chirping threats. “Spear-spear-OW!” He Growled, lowering your Chikorita’s attack power. Maybe he was trying to play it defensively now?
