[[ You guys need to watch it with god modding. It's not excessive, but Logar, when you post, you take control of Pikaman too much. You can only control yourself and your Pokémon. Justttt a little warning for next time. ~_^ ]]

A battle, eh? A battle of wits? Or brawn? Ahhh, but you see, this was a Pokémon battle. A little bit of both were involved! You both seemed up to it, even though Ty was down one Pokémon. Oh well, you'd just use two on two. That would work, nay?

So, the two of you got ready, Ty producing the only two pokeballs he had. It was up to Jordan to choose which Pokémon he wished to use in battle. While he fished in his pockets, trying to decide which ones to use, a lone trainer ambled up to you two.
"Hey! Is this a Pokémon battle?!" he screamed, gaining the attention of about NINE THOUSAND little kids nearby. "It is! It is!" chanted the NINE THOUSAND kids, throwing their hands above their heads with glee. Dayummm, these kids liked Pokémon battles! Most of them held pokeballs of their own. Neither of you were sure if they held them for safe keeping... Or just because they could. Either way, you didn't particularly care.

So, who against who? What against what? Choose wisely, young ones. You didn't want to come up with a stalemate in front of your crowd!

((Too many people!))

"Holy crap! There's a lot of them." Ty said to Jordan.

Ty walked to his side of the area and called out his two reliable Pokémon for this match. Time for Mawler and Puffer to see what happened to the hand.

"Mawler, Puffer! Your presents is required!" Ty shouted as he called his Pokémon.

The two appeared in a birst of red light and looked at Ty's new hand. They looked suprised and then looked around at all the little kids that were surrounding them. They were in awestruck when they saw every single one of them. All nine thousand of them.

They then turned back to Ty and looked at him quizically. Ty then looked down and spoke to them.

"A lot has happened recently and I'll fill you in later. Right now we're having a 2 on 2 battle with Jordan. Mawler, I want you to charge the first Pokémon that he calls out and use Fake Tears and then Skull Bash. Puffer, I'm ganna try to teach you a new move. It's called Hyper Voice. It's like Uproar but only 5 times louder and in one short burst. Try to use it on the second one that he calls out." Ty told his Pokémon.

This was going to be a long battle and Ty knew it. At least he still has the Potion that he got from the Pokémart. It might come in use here.

" Ehh... It's almost like someone planned on us coming here... Sure hope they stay out of the way... " Jordan mumbled to himself as the others gathered around. When Jordan saw Ty send out his second Pokémon, he sent out Rage. " Ok Rage, you will be my second choice in this battle with our new friend Ty. " Jordan said to her in a nice voice. She just nodded and stod by him to watch.

To Jordan's suprise Ty sent out a Steel typed Mawhile againced Vulk. " Ok Vulk looks like we have the advantage here! Use an ember then growl! Use ember to keep it away from you whenever it tries to get up close! Mawhile's have a lot of ranged attacks! Also, it may coax you into letting you're guard down, so remember that it is only trying to fool you! " Jordan commanded. So long as he kept Mawler away from Vulk, it should be fine. Tackling might not be a good idea. Growling and embering might be the only option.

And the battle was on between two people fast becoming friends. Both of you had several strategies up your sleeves in order to secure victory for yourselves. Jordan had his Numel to counter Mawile whilst Mankey would do almost no damamge to the steel type. Whismur would probably be the deciding factor for Ty's team. Especially with defense lowering attacks like fake tears. Each trainer had fire in their eyes as they quickly called out orders to their teams.

The first to strike in this battle would be Mawler who made the mistake of running towards a newly summonded Numel. However luck would be on Mawler's side as Numel was temporarily enthralled when the steel Pokémon as if on a whim erupted into tears. Numel was nearly drawn to tears himself until the heavy steel Pokémon hit him with a head on skull bash and knocked him backwards. But not to be outdone, Numel released an ember attack on Mawler that mostly missed, but still hit the steel Pokémon with some aftereffects. Vulk's growl was inaudiable since it was still recovering from Mawler's powerful skullbash.

Meanwhile Ty's Whismur did nothing.. you are going to need to explain how to unlock Hyper Voice to your Whismur. But despite not having any explanation for the move, your Pokémon made a weak attempt to summon its' voice but would fail until sucessfully instructed. Rage the Mankey sat contentedly at Jordan's side for the time being.

((Remember. Mawile has Intemidate. That and Puffer's a guy.))

Ty watched as Mawler ran toward Vulk and acted the cry. What a great actor. With that we might be able to win this thing. Then it was Puffer's turn to try and use Hyper Voice but messed up and didn't do much with it. Ty was going to have to be more descriptive about this.

"Great job guys! Mawler, I need you to switch and go after the Mankey with a Skull Bash. Then use Headbutt on it. Puffer, great try on Hyper Voice. Use Uproar but make it sound like AH!!! instead of Ahhhhhh! and aim it at Vulk. That's what Hyper Voice is about." Ty commanded.

Ty was hoping that this would work. Hyper Voice would be a great addition to his attack supply. It'd be great to try and scare away larger Pokémon too. Now all Ty had to do was win and then he thought of a awesome idea.

"Hey Jordan! How about we make this more interesting? Loser gives the winner $300." he asked.

That way if he won he would have $600 and could purchase some supplies that they might need. That or if he lost he could just fly away on Ramza and leave Jordan by himself.

Jordan was off to a poor start... Numel fell for the Fake Tears, and his ember hardly did anything. Ty was trying to teach his whismur HYPER VOICE! Jordan nearly burst out laughing. " You do know Whismer and Loudred's best attack is Hyper Voice? It'll take more than that to teach it the attack. Not to sound mean or anything, but I'd wait until Whismer gets a little more powerful before trying that. " Jordan said, hoping to be helpful.

Jordan noticed Mawler attacking Rage, and quickly shouted, " Rage jump over Mawler, and run toward Whismer to use a Low Kick! Ty, since when was this a double battle?!?!" Did Ty misunderstand when Jordan said two on two? " Vulk, aim another ember and growl at Mawler! " Jordan comanded. As much as Jordan hated using the exact same move over and over, it was his best chance. Growl might help weaken the Pokémon though. If Jordan kept Mawler fighting Vulk and Puffer fighting Rage he would be good.

" I'm not sure Ty... Three-hundred is all I have... If I lose that I'll have no money whatsoever... Plus I wouldn't want to take all of your money ether. I might put up money if the wagor was a bit smaller... " Jordan said uncertaintly. (sp?) Why was he saying that? The odds were stacked againced Ty! Jordan was too kind to take all of his money... He was also afraid he would lose all of his own money. He was too uncerten of himself, but he hasn't lost a fight so he should be fairly good right?

(Most refs including myself don't both to include a Pokémon's natural abilities unless its mentioned in a post. It will be accounted for this round though.))

Ah, there is nothing like the prospect of a little coin being tossed over a friendly battle. As many an orator hath said 'to the winner goes the spoils', and it seemed like both contenders were quite confident that they were going to walk away with a bunch of money after today's round. But let us now assess the damages wrought by both teams during this round, and I'll be here to give my own side-commentaries on the battle. That IS what you both are here for, correct? To hear my comments on your battle?

Mawler did as he was ordererd and made a dash at the Mankey who attempted to jump out of the way.. amazing how nimble this steel Pokémon appeared to be. They didn't make em like this anymore. Rage was thrown to the ground near to Jordan's feet slightly dazed but still able to fight this battle for the betterment of the team.. oh and that prize money that you were both aiming to acquire. It was sheer luck that for a second round in a row Whismur was untouched by the ferocity of battle. That might change next round if circumstances deliver providence to Jordan's team however.

Vulk then released an ember attack and a subsequent growl attack on Mawler. With nimbleness Mawler avoided most of the move, but unfortunetly time was running out for Ty's team. Mawler wouldn't be able to avoid the full fury of Vulk's ember for very long.. oh and as for Whismur using Hyper Voice.. my personal suggestion would be for you to look into Shadow's journey in his fight with abeseas. In there is a good example of a Pokémon learning new moves in a battle. BUT nevertheless Whismur did as you said and began to imulate uproar but with a different syllable and produced no effect against Vulk.

If either of you expect to win this fight, you are going to have to use both of your Pokémon in a coordinated effort, otherwise the side with the clear upper-hand will take the glory.

((For some reason I can't find that battle.))

"Damn right! Great job guys! Keep it up and we can win this thing! And Jordan how about making it $150 instead? That way the loser still has some money left." Ty said and asked.

The battle was progressing smoothly with some small bumps but nothing major. Whismur was able to use Hyper Voice but not to the extent of it doing anything. Mawile was able to prove that Steel type Pokémon can be nimble and powerful. Ty was able to comand his Pokémon in a way that was somewhat impressive.

"Puffer, Do the same thing but try to make it louder so that it be damaging, afterwards use Uproar on Vulk. Mawler, use Astonish on Rage and the follow up with Skull Bash" Ty comanded his Pokémon.

This was starting to turn out in Ty's favor. Proving that type advantage means nothing in this battle. That and if Ty needed it he had some Potions to help out. This battle might be quicker than he thought. The only down side was that if he won earily then Puffer would have to be taught Hyper Voice outside of battle.

((Pikaman, Growl won't do anything. Mawile has Hyper Cutter as another ability))

(( >_> That makes it only embers now... ))

Oh great. Somehow Ty's Pokémon were doing better than they should, and Jordan's haven't gotten a clean hit in. He could double team Mawler, but Rage wouldn't be able to do vary much damage. There was also the fact that Rage was close ranged while Vulk was mid ranged and Mawler was close ranged. Oh, don't forget that Puffer would be much better if it wasn't going to uproar while Mawler defends it...

Jordan factored all of these in and knew he HAD to get Rage to Puffer. Hopefully it worked... " Rage, use a leer on Mawler, then try your best to get past it. Jump, run, skip, whatever so long as you get to Puffer and use a low kick! Vulk, make sure Mawler is preocupied with your embers or even a tackle or bite if you apsolutely must. " Jordan commanded. He watched with anticipation as the orders were followed through. Hopefully all went well and he could get a few more experience points...

Finally, tactics were beggining to be used by both trainers which was an utter plus for both battlers but this round would be the beggining of the end for one of the two contestants. Who you say? You could just scroll down to the Pokémon at the bottom of my post and see, but that would kill the fun of having to sit here and listen to me ramble on about the battle. And lets face it, who wouldn't want to do that?

So yeah, in a nut-shell heres what happened: All four Pokémon were dangerously eager to carry out their malicious task of destroying the other team. Scary. Oh and did I forget to mention one of you may or may not be finished after this round? Being the fastest Pokémon on the field, Rage quicly performed a leer on Mawler, sucessfully weakening his defensive capabilities. Even as Puffer attempted, once again unsucessfully, to muster up a Hyper voice, Rage jumped straight over Mawler and performed a low kick on Puffer. Unfortunetly Mawler made an immense strategic error when he literally turned around and began to confront Rage. Luck was on Ty's side as Mawler delivered astonish without flaw. Luck then promptly switched to Jordan's side as several embers burst into the back of Mawler.

Wow, things were looking up for Jordan! First off, Rage got over Mawler and attacked Puffer. Next, the distracted Mawler got embers in the back while it had lower defence! Hopefully nothing Puffer could do would stop his victory, but Jordan didn't know what it could do so he would have to find out.

" Nice job you two! Now then, let's finish off that Whismer! Rage use leer again, then scratch it! Vulk, run toward Puffer while it is distracted with Rage and use tackle after Rage attacks! If it tries to attack, use an ember! " Jordan commanded, quite sure of his trainer abilities. The last round might have been lucky, but you never know when luck changes. " Okay Ty, still wanting to wager 150? You can still back out of the bet! I won't take any money if you don't want me to... " Jordan said, hoping that Ty wouldn't think he was gloating, which he wasn't.

Ty watched as his Mawile was stared down and Embered on the back. That had to hurt and Mawler fell to the ground fainted.

"Mawler!" Ty shouted out. "If only you could have lasted one more round. I would have be able to give you a Potion." He said softly.

He pulled out Mawler's pokeball and called him in. Now it was only Puffer verses Vulk and Rage. How was he going to win this? He started to think. Then he had an idea.

"I don't care about the money. We can go ahead and keep the bet. Puffer! Try using Hyper Voice again but this time try to put so much enegey in it that it would so loud that people in other towns could hear it! Try to aim it at the Mankey. It looks like the weakest right now. And if you feel like you're about to faint come near me and I'll give you a Potion." Ty ordered.

This battle was going great until that last round. All he needed was to turn it around and at least beat one of them. After all, a great rule is "If you can't beat both, try to just damage them at least once." That's all he wanted to do and all he hoped for right now. And if he really wanted to, he could just call out Ramza and cheat or fly away.

Forsooth, forsooth trying to shake the whole city of Hurst with Hypervoice? That was an easy way to expend all of your partner's energy and an easy way for you to lose the battle. You should probably message me later asking for Shadow's battle with another member of this forum in which he taught several moves during the battle. It'll definately give you a clearer picture of what I was looking for with your Whismur. And unlike other refs who would probably have Whismur implode through sheer lack of energy, I'm one of the few nice ones:

Well.. Whismur did your best to do as you asked and performed a squeal/kind of Hypervoice/uproar/etc/etc/ but was only able to fire it upon Rage, felling her for good from the fight. At least your Whismur would take home a little experiance for your team. Unfortunetly before that was able to occur, Rage was able to pull off her final two attacks, leer and scratch, thus severely weakening Puffer. Your weary Whismur knew that its time had come when it saw Vulk charging at him. In vain, he tried to avoid the blow but it was too late and the tackle landed square on and thus Jordan had won the battle.

But I'm not a complete jerk, so keep requesting me and you might end up with something good later on.

Whismur gains 66 :exp
Vulk gains 94 :exp

Both profiles will be updated

((So what is Puffer's learn percent now that he succesfully used it?))

Ty watched as the battle went on and little did he know that it was soon to be over. Puffer was able to get out a succesful Hyper Voice out and put Rage out for good. New it was time for Vulk to go. The only thing was, Vulk unleashed Embers at Puffer and was able to knock him out too.

That's it. The battle was over and Jordan was the winner. Look's like it was time to pay up.

"Puffer! You did your best and we had a great run but looks like we lost. Oh well. All I asked for was your best and you gave it to me. I'm just so glad that ou were able to get out that Hyper Voice. Now all we have to do is get you and Mawler healed and then work on it some more." Ty said calmly to Puffer.

Ty then recalled Puffer to his pokeball so it could get some much needed rest. Then he walked over to Jordan.

"Congadulations! You beat me. Here's the $150 that we bet. You can have it. I think we should go to the Pokémon Center now and get all of them healed and then decide on what to do after that." Ty said to Jordan.

He waited for a respond and hoped that he wouldn't rup it in. After all, no one likes a swore winner or loser.

" Thanks Ty, good match! " Jordan said as he put his hand out to shake hands, " You almost had me! Yeah, let's go to the Pokécenter and heal. I think we should walk to out destination so we can level our Pokémon, what do you say? " Jordan hoped Ty wasn't a sore loser... The Pokémon needed healing and he had the chance to throw his other Pokémon out, but he didn't. Jordan now trusted Ty a bit more, but didn't funny know him yet. Jordan wasn't going to trust someone he knew little about just yet.

As he held out his hand, Jordan gave a grin, almost like that type of reckless video game main character grin. Jordan was starting to break out of his little shell of shyness, and at a good time too. He glanced behind Ty to see what the crowd's responce would be. He'd almost completely forgotten about them in the heat of battle.
