As the vortex opened in the sky, Nidoran started to run around, squeeking at the top of his tiny lungs. Swinub stood very still and then grunted at Victor and dug into the ground. He left a large hole, in which the frantic Nidoran fell into. Victor smiled softly then crawled in the small hole, barely fitting. After a few minutes, he crawled outside. Swinub protested with a grunt. "Swin! Swinub Swin?!" He sighed and followed his trainer. He stopped and looked at Nidoran. He said, "Swin swin swinub swin swin, Swin swin?", in a way meaning something like, "Your not staying in here alone, are you?" The Nidoran trembled, then followed the brave Pokémon outside.

Victor saw the group of people gathering around a large rock that had crashed. As he approached, he remembered his small Pokémon and turned around to look for them. Swinub grunted angrily and Nidoran was trembling all over. He looked close to faint. Victor walked over to him and picked up the poor Pokémon. "Well, you get nervous easily don't you?" He smiled softly at Nidoran and softly rubbed between his large ears. The Pokémon stopped trembling and seemed to calm down.

Swinub rolled his eyes and grunted. He made his way to the rock. He sniffed it and frowned. Victor suddenly had an idea. "Hey! You can use Odor Sleuth, can't you? You could tell us what this is made of, can you?" Swinub rolled his eyes and grunted again. Victor responded by kicking some dust on the Pokémon. "Hey, just asking. Swinub, use Odor Sleuth on that rock!"

Well, adventurous are we, the rock had a mossy green glow to it, Swinub was confused at it, but sniffed the air. It was a rock that had fallen from space, there was something odd about it. The people around you stared in awe, a rock like this had obviously never fallen from the sky before. A man with thick glasses ran over to the group, he was obviously a professor because he carried a large box with a dial ranging from red to green on it. He knelt down beside the rock, "Stay back everyone, until I find out if it is dangerous or not" he said in a gruff voice that was almost too gruff for his frame. He took the dial in one had and a large, hair iron like appendage in the other, when he switched it on the dial's needle jumped into the pale yellow zone.

He moved the appendage over the rocks surface, at different intervals it buzzed and the needle jumped furthur into the yellow but not into the orange, red or black zones. Satisfied he turned the device off and clicked open the top which had five liquids of different colours in neat little bottles. A woman beside you gasped and whispered to someone "At least its not radioactive." The professor was now putting a red substance into an eye dropper, he dropped it onto the rock, nothing happened. With the blue, green and purple substances the same result. He snapped on some gloves, the woman whispered again "The final test, if the white corrosive acid does not have an effect of the rock then it will have to be taken away fro furtur testing at the lab." This time she was whispering to you, out of the corner of your eye you could see that she too was a scientist.

The professor took the acid and placed a little in a weird device, you guessed that it was the only thing the acid did not burn. He tipped it onto the rock, the acid hissed and burned into the rock, a foul smell burned your nostrills. THe professor put the acid and the device away and closed the lid, "Good news, its not dangerous, it is simply a meteorite from the deep reaches of space." The crowd dispersed, obviously bored with the meteorite. You soon realised that you and the female scientist were the only ones there, the woman clasped you rouchly on the shoulder, "Glad you decided the stay boy, we need someone strong to help us lift this baby onto the truck and take it to the museum" she said. "Unless you plan on doing something else, it would be good it you helped though" the man said readjusting his glasses.

"Sure! I'll help you if you need it. But, it seems to big to lift or pick up. How are we going to lift it?", asked Victor. He knew the rock had to be heavy, but he had no idea how heavy. He was pretty strong, but not enough to pick up a boulder from deep space!

Nidoran looked suspciously at the two strangers and squeaked weakly. Swinub grunted and rolled his eyes; he was annoyed by the Pokémon's timid nature. He nudged his new friend and pushed him closer to Victor, who picked him up and calmed him. Swinub still sniffed the rock, not sure if the strangers were right.

Victor saw this and turned to Swinub. "Its okay. The professor said it was from space, so you can stop being nosy."

Swinub just grunted and continued searching. Victor silently thought to himself, "This Pokémon is very thick-headed! He's going to be a handful...

You and the professor started to left up the sapce junk when your Swinub started to tug on your pants like something was bothering him. All of a sudden the rock or what ever it was started shacking. What was going on? Could the rock really be moving? All these questions started poping into your head.

Suddenly wings came off of the rock. What! Wings? Are you serious? Yes I am. Wings started to come of the rock. Obviously it wasn't a rock. It was some kind of alian monster that was black-ish had black wings with white streaks and stands over 8 feet tall.

Wow this has to be scary as everyone was trying to find shealter like it was the end of the world. So what are you going to do? Are you going to be like everyone else and run or fight this thing?

"Ahh! What the heck is that!?!", yelled Victor. He nearly jumped out of his skin. Nidoran growled and surprisingly jumped to the ground in front of him. Swinub joined him and they stood their ground, staring at the thing in front of them.

Victor stared at it in awe. "Well, I think it's a Pokémon from space, or something, so can't we weaken it, then catch it?", he asked no one. He considered the other people that could be hurt by this creature and cmae up with one idea: fight it, catch it.

"Well, this isn't your regular battle, so I'll use both by Pokémon! Nidoran, use Tackle and then Peck on that... thing!" Nidoran shook a little, but nodded. Swinub grunted and tugged on Victor's pants. "Okay, you use Headbutt, then Body Slam!', he added.

The massive creature looked down at you, and your Pokémon before it let out a low "Cthoooooo..." The two scientists backed off, obviously frightened at the sight of the thing, but at the same time, they were too curious, a bane of all scientists. They stayed a few feet behind you, watching you fight the thing. Now, you'd think that a couple of adults would be protecting a kid, but apparently this wasn't the way things worked. At least not here, because you had two Pokémon to protect you.

Listening to your orders, your pair of creatures darted forward into the fray. Your Swinub, being a little more experienced, took charge. It leapt forward, using its tiny girth as a weapon as it drove its head into the legs of the creature. The squid-monster frowned, or at least it looked like it did, under the tentacles, and was knocked back a step. However, it recovered quickly and seized the Swinub with its tentacles, obviously looking to do some damage to it. Luckily, your Nido came in to save the day, showing courage in the face of fear, pecking furiously at the monster's tentacles.

With a grunt of pain, the monster released the Swinub, and picked up the most recent aggressor instead, biting into the Nido's skin with teeth hidden under the tentacles before it grunted and released it, spitting on the ground. The Nidoran's Poison Point had worked, and the creature definitely looked a little ill. However, the reactions of it had sent your poor Swinub sprawling, and Nido was flinching in fear of being bitten again. Taking advantage of this, the monster let out a high-pitched screech, and from the glazed over look in Swinub's eyes, you could tell it was confused.

And still winded from its fight with the Phanby, it wasn't looking good for your Swinub...I'd heal it with that potion, if I were you.

"No! Nidoran, are you okay?", said Victor as Nidoran flinched in fear. The Pokémon wimpered and cried in pain, obviciously hurt by the creature's bite. Swinub's eyes were blank and thoughtless. Victor remembered his Awakening potion and quickly applied it to Swinub.

"Nidoran, Swinub is hurt, but so are still okay. You have to stop this... thing!", he said. Nidoran wimpered, but as he looked at his friend and Trainer, he sighed and turned to the monster attacking.

"Alright then! Nidoran, use Peck on that creature, then Confusion, to get weaken its senses!", He turned to the professor and the other stranger. "Um, aren't you going to help me?! I can't do this alone!", he exclaimed. He was pset with these people, leaving him to do the job.

Your Nidoran looked none-too-pleased to be facing this creature all by its lonesome, but you both knew it was necessary, as your Swinub was still pretty out of it from its first fight. Following your directions, the creature scrambled forward on all fours, managing to dodge the monster's first attack, and pecked at its legs with the sharp horns coming from its snout. As it readied itself to use Confusion, though, the squid-face picked it up in its tentacles. Drawing on reservoirs of courage, the Nido released the Confusion attack...but the monstrous creature just shrugged it off as if it was a love tap.

And now your Nidoran was in trouble, as it was caught by the tentacles of the tall, dark, and ugly creature. As it drew your Nido in for another Bite attack, a flash of brown shot by, almost too fast to see. "Go Ronin!" the woman called, obviously talking to her Pokémon. As your eyes followed the movements, you saw a Farfetch'd behind the creature its leek swung outward as if in an samurai attack. A second later, the damage caught up and the monster hissed in pain as it released your Nidoran, who moved over by the bird, preferring the safety of numbers.

The creature turned around to face the large beast, and you could tell from the look in its eye that it was no ordinary Farfetch'd. Its gaze was hard and cold, and it wielded the leek with the masterful technique of a trained swordsman. Either this one had been trained well, or it was well bred. Either way, you had a powerful ally on your team, now. "Ronin! Feather Dance!" The Farfetch'd nodded, and flapped its wings once, causing a burst of feathers to cover the squid-face, both making it look ridiculous and lowering its attack. With Ronin on your team, this match was as good as yours.

Victor turned to the woman who lent her help with her Farfetch'd.
"Thank you. I didn't think we would last long with out someone's help." Nidoran squeaked and ran around in circles, until he ran into Victor's leg. "Nidoran, calm down. You don't have to fight alone anymore; you have help.", he said in a soothing tone to the panicking Pokémon.

"What am I going to do with you?', he said to him self. "Nidoran, use Peck on that creature again. Your poisin weakens it. Them use Body Slam and Tackle to cause more bodily harm. That should be enough for it to be weakened for Ronin to do whatever."

He turned once again to the woman, saying, "Do whatever you need to do."

((Remember that we're looking for a minimum of two paragraphs without talking/thinking ^^))

As the mass of feathers reached the tentacle beast, it let out a roar of anger, ts tentacles and arms trying to move the feathers away from its face as best it could, though the attack had worked rather well. As it struggled with the feathers, Nidoran charged forward, its hard beak, though it wasn't a bird, closing in anticipation of the attack. Sure enough, the monster was too busy trying to fight off the feathers, and wasn't able to effectively block the attack, the Peck striking it quite forcefully.

It roared in pain and swung one of its arms at the Nido to knock it away. The attack hit, but cushioned by the feathers, it really didn't do that much damage at all. "Okay Ronin, kick up some sand to blind the thing, and then go in for a Peck attack of your own!" The Farfetch'd nodded slowly, bringing its leek down by its side in a Iaijutsu stance before swinging it outward, sending a blast of wind that picked up a great deal of sand, throwing it at the monster's face, as it seemed to be more concentrated than a normal Sand Attack.

As your Nidoran had recovered by now, it charged forward to perform the rest of your required actions, gathering up speed for a body slam. Just as the little poison pin Pokémon connected, so too did Ronin's peck attack, catching the best from both sides. As your Nidoran returned to you for further instructions, however, you became aware that it was looking a little...odd. It looked almost as if drunk, as its steps didn't always match the motion of its body, and you knew that it had been confused somehow.

Ronin looked fine...that is, until the monster released a supersonic attack in the bird's direction. Boldly standing against the attack, thinking he could nullify its effects, the Farfetch'd was badly mistaken, and you saw its eyes glaze over too. So close to victory...and yet had the tables turned on you?

"Oh no, not you too Nidoran!", yelled Victor as he saw his poor Pokémon confused. "You have to push through this! Your stronger than you know! Much stronger! One day, you could be the King of Nidokings!", he added, trying to encourage Nidoran.

Nidoran swayed back and forth, weakend, but nothing he couldn't overcome. He stared and Victor and wimpered, not wanting to continue. "Nido...", he squeaked.

"Listen Nidoran, you and Ronin the Farfetch'd are our only hope right now, so stop acting like a weakling!" Victor ran over to the Pokémon and got on his hands and knees so he could look Nidpran in the eyes. "You are strong! You are strong! You are strong!", he chanted.

Nidoran gave his trainer a funny look and nodded. Even though he knew he couldn't do it, he didn't want to disobey. "Alright Nidoran, use Headbutt, the Body Slam on that thing! Then, use Peck again, but twice this time. It seems to weaken it greatly, so mabeye we should use it twice for maximum effect!", he said. He hoped his speech would encourage Nidoran.

Character Title
Gentleman Adventurer
The monster loomed over your Farfetch’d. In low tones it grunted: “Loo Loo Loo” then it quickly lunged in. It’s dark blue tentacles flailed, revealing it’s mouth full of sharp teeth. It got a Bite in and happily got out of the way. The monster seemed pleased with the attack. Your bird wasn’t about to be bitten to death though. As the monster pulled back, Farfetch’d rushed in, using Peck! The attack landed, tearing a small chunck of blue tentacle off.

Your Nidoran had decided to attack. He mustered up his courage, and ran in with his head down. He slammed into the monster’s ankle. The ankle made a popping sound like popping bubble wrap! The attack had succeeded, but the damage wasn’t major. Farfetch’d took the opportunity to attack again. While the bird was still confused, it looked like he was pretty coherent at the moment. He swooped in, jamming his bill into the monster’s other ankle. This Peck had hurt the monster enough to make it’s eyes flash red.

The monster knew that it was getting weak. He stared at the Farfetch’d, the Pokémon that was hurting it the most. An eerie green light shone from the monster’s mouth and enveloped your bird. The beast was using Absorb to heal some of the damage. And while Peck was doing a good job of hurting the monster, Absorb was doing a great job of hurting the bird!

This was the last chance (this round) for your Nidoranm to make an attack. While he was still nervous, he ran in. And tripped. And ended up hurting himself more then the monster. You could see it in his eyes, the Confusion had him.

"Gosh! Can this thing only Bite and Confuse?", said Victor desperately. But, he knew that the creature was weakening. It would only last a few more attacks. "Mabeye I should use a Pokeball.", he said quietly. He took one out and held in in his hand. "I should use this!"

He turned of Nidoran. "Nidoran, I know you're tired, but you have to push through this. Just one more attack and I think we have it!"

Nidoran squeked weakily and shook his head. He was tired. Mabeye he could run away... No, he would have to come back. He needed to remain with his trainer. He sighed and turned to face the monster.

"Good. Now use Peck and Body Slam to finish this! Then, I'll use this Pokeball.", he said to Nidoran.

"Nidoran...", said the poor Pokémon.

Your rhetorical question probably could have been answered simply, no. Long answer, Cthooloo can also use Leer, Absorb and Supersonic, but you don't actually know that, or at least yet. Still, this battle is going your way, even with both of your Pokémon and your ally confused.

Your Nidoran was quite tentative about going in again, but he isn't one to disappoint. He rushed in, albeit a little wobbly. He slamed into the Cthooloo's shin using it's horn for the Peck. The scientist's Farfetch'd was told to Peck as well. It flew with some degree of stability. Maybe it was breaking free from the confusion. He flew behind Cthooloo and used Peck at the base of it's wings. The monster roared in pain before swinging around in an attempt to Bite the Farfetch'd. It missed horribly as Farfetch'd was already flying away. Then, Nidoran regained it's composure enough to fly at the creature's leg with a Body Slam. It roared again before falling to the ground, panting and weak.

You finally threw the pokeball. It hit the big blue monster, sucking it in with a flash of light. The ball shook for a few moments before completely capturing the Cthooloo. Congradulations. Now, with that out of the way, it might be a good idea to make your way to the Pokémon center to heal. You never know what will happen next.

Minutes later, the chaos caused by the Cthooloo had reached it's peek as the green fireballs started to return to the vortex in the sky. Pretty soon, the sky returned to blue, showing no trace of the Cthooloo's coming. Well, except for the damage they left behind. Now, hopefully life can return to normal.

(Now for the fun :exp calculations. All gain 20 :exp . Your profile will be updated {again} shortly. Also, I wasn't sure if the returning was already told to you. If it was, ignore the last paragraph.)

"Finally. It's over. Now, I think we should go to the Pokémon Center, huh Nidoran.", said Victor with a sigh. Nidoran had fallen asleep on the ground and was snoring loudly. Victor smiled and shook his head. "What am I going to do about you.", he said to himself. He took out Nidoran's Pokeball and the Pokémon disappeared into the ball.

He went over to the newly captured Pokémon and picked it up. He studied it carefully and was about to open it, when he decided againist it. "Mabeye later. When I need him." He put the Pokeball away and began to walk to the Pokémon Center, when he remebered the Farfetch'd and the other Trainer that helped him. "Thank you for your help. I probably wouldn't have defeated that thing without you help. So, thank you."
