"I do not think there is any thrill that can go through the human heart like that felt by the inventor as he sees some creation of the brain unfolding to success... such emotions make a man forget food, sleep, friends, love, everything." - Nikola Tesla

The sun shone brightly but it didn't feel like it ever reached this quaint city. Everything was cold, even the people. Several hurried by without glancing in either direction. The entire city seemed to dress alike: trench-coat, boots, and a strange hat. Well, you fit in somewhat. That was a plus as the gang across the street would probably have to hassle you if you didn't. Luckily, they barely paid any attention to you and swaggered off to probably rob a bank or something. The trashcan in the alley next to you rattled, tipping on its side. It fell with a loud clang, adding another dent in its abused sides. Something grunted inside before a dog wearing a pink dress tottered out. Oh wait, that wasn't a dog in a dress. It was a Snubbull. The frowning creature brushed itself off before seeing what treasure it had uncovered. Its huge lower canines hung out of its mouth as it shoved moldy bread into its maw. It glanced at you before ignoring your existence. Well, if you wanted another Pokémon, this might be your chance. Level 6

Adachi and Hime walked around in the city. He felt his body shudder at the coldness of the people. No one seemed to look at one person directly, or at least they did it in secret. The cold atmosphere hovered over the town, despite it being relatively warm today. Hime, Ada's Meditite, gave a shudder. She had stopped in her tracks and looked across the street. A gang was over there and she got a look of fear in her face. However, the gang paid no attention to Adachi or Hime. Adachi beckoned towards Hime to walk up, which she did. They walked passed an alley, only to stop in their tracks. They had heard a rattle. Adachi and Hime walked closer into the alley. They then saw the trash can rattle and to fall over on the scuffed up ground. A loud grunt was heard, and a pink dog came out. It was a.. Snubbull, Adachi believed. It was gnawing on some moldy bread, like it hadn't eaten in days. "This could be my chance to catch a Pokémon!" Adachi exclaimed. He would be much safer with two or more Pokémon, than just one. He had to be careful though. Snubbull were little Pokémon and could easily run away!"Okay Hime. If it starts to attack, use Bide." Adachi told his Meditite. She nodded calmly, understanding what she needed to do. |

So typical. Always expecting a battle at every turn, every step you make. Fate really seems to have scared most trainers into believing that. For the most part, that was probably true. Not all Pokémon were a simple helping of cake and ice cream for the common trainer; sometimes, people even fought for their lives from them. Apparently, this Snubbull was also fighting for his life, but not in the way that you would think. His fight was simply getting enough food to feed his belly, and digging through garbage yielded slim pickings. Was he getting to the point where he'd attack a human or a Pokémon just for a "bite" to eat? Definitely not. Surprisingly, once he sighted you, he rolled over onto his back, raised his paws into the air, and did a lie-down begging pose. Why, the little hobo was begging for some food from you! He did look rather skinny, so why not feed him at the least? Or you could just simply take him onto your team, since he seemed pretty willing to go with just about anyone. Odd how life works, eh? All you had to do was present it with a Pokeball... "Voltorb." What you had taken for an old Pokeball had just rolled out of a nearby garbage can that the Snubbull had upset, and was glaring quite angrily at the mutt. The electric type looked rather sleepy, and was now in a grumpy mood. Perhaps the Snubbull had accidentally awakened it....Looks like you'll get a battle after all. Lv. 7
