Xavier had once again found himself another reason to venture outside of the protective walls of the Pokécenter. The only difference from last time was the fact that this time he had his loyal Growlithe by his side and Tempest was still in the process of being freed from a block of ice. Though the fact of being without his beloved Horsea perturbed him, Xavier had to look past that for he had a mission. That ‘mission’ was plain and simple. Find a place to battle. Now what could be so hard about that? How could he possibly screw that up? Well the truth was Xavier was only human, and like all humans Xavier got easily distracted. So when Xavier saw a 415 in progress he did what any other person would have done in his situation. He stood and stared. Even Growlithe, who was as hyper as a 4 year old who had just ate his weight in sugar straws and washed it down with Hawaiian Punch just meer moments ago had found itself looking at the scene in awe. Now when most people walk outside in most cities they would most likely would see a street vender selling their malfunctioning goods to the suspecting public or possibly two skilled trainers engaged in an exciting battle or even the occasional but rare wild Pokémon, but this was apparently not any ordinary town this was Tohea were the scene Xavier and Sprocket witnessed was more than likely an ordinary event. Apparently by studying the histera Xavier had made himself an open target for the scumbags who have enough time to study and perfect the art of pick pocketing. Within moments Xavier had found himself 150 dollars lighter. Even Sprocket failed to notice till it was too late. Xavier would have gone in pursuit of the criminal for not the fear of dropping the egg. With all things considered the thief might of gotten away with it all if wasn’t for that strange tough guy Once accepting his money from the man and putting it back within his bag Xavier realized that the man, who now revealed himself as Constable Green and he was looking for Alex. Turning back he noticed Ashe and no Alex or Jake. Xavier took this as meaning that Alex was not far away and that Tempest must have been unfrozen. So Xavier decided to lead Green back to the Pokécenter seeing that would be the most logical place for them to be. Edited by Treecko99, Nov 23 2008, 01:12 AM.

You led the constable to the Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy was still there, sipping at a soda. Sitting along the wall, Alex and Jake watched Tempest trying to hop along the floor. And, as you expected, tempest fell over after a few feet, making everyone laugh. Sprocket picked the bird up in his mouth, setting it up right. Alex’s eyes grew at the sight of Constable Green. “Whoa. What’s so serious that you followed me here?” He asked the beefy cop. “Team Rocket got a hold of a bunch of Grass-type Pokémon. We’re rounding up all the gym leaders and well…” “You could use my help huh?” Alex looked down to his boy. “Looks like vacations over kiddo.” Alex walked over to shake your hand. “Sorry, but I’m needed. Maybe if I get back here sometime, we’ll have that battle.” And with that the two men, and the boy left the Pokémon center. But, the egg in your arms started to shake right then. Thoughts of the battle left you mind very quickly. A small piece of the yellow shell broke away. A patch of blue fur was visible. “Zu-zu-zu” the small creature cried. More shell broke away and finally the Pokémon was revealed. It was a Zubat! It’s tiny form shivered in your hands. Nurse Joy rushed over with her poketech and scanned it. “Oh my! You’ve got a Zubat, and it’s a baby girl!” Level 1 (I'l update your profile.)

Upon entering the Pokécenter Xavier was relieved not only relieved to see that Alex was actually at the Pokécenter but also that Tempest was successfully unfrozen. Tempest was standing quietly in the corner of the room viciously shaking and if he had teeth they would be chattering. Xavier assumed that this must have been due to Tempest being frozen for so long. Xavier who was too distracted by seeing Tempest unfrozen to notice that Alex or his son were even there turned his attention to his Horsea and said, “So how are you”. Tempest did not see Xavier come in so he was taken by surprise by his voice. Immediately Tempest turned to face his trainer. Full of joy Tempest broke into a full sprint toward his trainer. Halfway there he managed to trip and land face down on the ground. Like a well oiled machine Growlithe went into action running to pick up Tempest and set him up right. The expression on Tempest’s face was a mixture of embarrassment and disgust. But that was to be expected after being falling and then being covered in dog slobber. That was all forgotten when Xavier knelled down to pet him while Growlithe made itself comfortable on floor. While petting Tempest Xavier was unaware of the conversation going on behind him and before he knew it Alex and Jake were nowhere to be found. Xavier was disappointed by this for a minute or two but something happened that made him forget that they were even there. It all began once Xavier had gotten up to leave the Pokécenter. He felt something shake in his arms. At first he thought it was his mind playing tricks on him the egg surely couldn’t be hatching now. But to his disbelief it was. One piece of the shell fell off then another until a patch of blue fur could clearly be seen. After a minute or two it became clear what it was. The nurse came and scanned the newly hatched Pokémon with her Poketech and Xavier felt that he must do the same. “Zubat”, his Pokedex began, “a basic bat Pokémon species found commonly in the wild in most caves in all the regions of the Pokémon world. In caves and other dark places it navigates using ultrasonic waves. It appears that Zubat is weakened by sunlight, so it hides in caves or other dark places. At night, it will come out and hunt for fruit or it sucks blood. The female's fangs are smaller than the male's.” Xavier winced once hearing the part of blood. Both Sprocket and Tempest both had different opinions about the new Pokémon. Sprocket felt that it would be an interesting addition to the team while Tempest thought that this intruder would take his place. But none the less they both were surrounding the Zubat as she said her first words. “Zu-zu-zu”, the creature cried. “Well looks we got a new addition to the family”, Xavier said carefully holding Zubat. Sprocket barked and Tempest just there silent. “Well I think it’s about time for us to leave”, Xavier said to his Pokémon. Just as he was about to leave the Pokécenter it dawned on him that he needed to officially catch the Zubat. So he gently grabbed a Pokeball from his bag and tapped the head of Zubat with it. Pokeball sucked up Zubat, yadda yadda yadda, because you hatched it and it loves you as if you were her mother, she didn't fight. Yeah, you caught it, go you, you're one amazing trainer for being able to do that, and now I'm going to stop. Because to be perfectly honest, you didn't break the egg, you didn't ditch the egg, and now you're happy with the Zubat. In other words, you're pretty kind hearted it seems, and that should pay off pretty well in the end, right? Leaving the Pokémon Center, you looked around and saw that for once, not a whole lot was going on. It seemed that the scene from before had been wiped away from most people's thoughts as everyone was going about their regular days. Well that's probably not too surprising, since Tohea City wasn't the city all about crime, and therefore you probably wouldn't be coming across any again for awhile. But don't be too certain, because you never know what could happen, and I don't want to get blamed for putting that misleading thought in your head. However, you're looking a battle, aren't you? Well it so happens that a lone young woman is looking for a battle too, although you might find it hard to focus on one with her. This young lady was HOT, and I don't mean in the temperature being above seventy degrees out. I'm talking about the kind of thing that makes your heart rate skyrocket and something else rise as well, if you know what I mean. However, she's not looking for anything from you, other than a battle, so you should probably just take a deep breath and go on. Grabbing a Pokeball she smiled at you and raised an eyebrow in a questioning way, which must be her asking you for a challenge. Do you accept? |

Darkness surrounded her and the stench of yolk flooded her nostrils. She liked it that way, for the darkness and the smell was all she knew. Voices from the outside seeped through her protective barrier. It was from these sounds that she learned her first words. Each voice was different and unique but only one seemed to soothe her. This particular sound was neither too loud nor too soft it was instead… she knew not the right word to describe it yet but she knew she would find it sooner or later. Any other day she would feel content but today was different. Instead she felt uncomfortable and her crowded living quarters. She felt the need to stretch out her… What were they called anyway?. She pondered on this for a moment or two before the uncontrollable urge to move took over. By mere accident she created the first crack in her shell followed by another. A slight breeze rushed in introducing her to the first of many new experiences she would encounter outside the protection her egg. Cold. She didn’t particular hate it but she didn’t like it either. Nonetheless she felt herself craving more of this and any more new experienced that followed. So she did the only thing that she could do. She moved more even biting every now. Piece by piece her prison feel to the ground until she was finally free. She now found herself in the arms of something. Was it the voice, she wondered. It sure sounded like it, but something was different. She couldn’t quite put her finger (if she had one that is) on it. Being born just mere minutes ago she was not able to comprehend that the sensation she was experiencing was in fact the smooth warm arms that held her. The time she spent within her egg had isolated her from the other many sensations of life so every minute she found herself experiencing something. But that was to be expected; after all she had just been born. The outside was beautiful in her opinion; though she was cursed to spend most her life blind she still had the tools to perceive the world just as well as any of us. Mostly through smell, touch and sound. That reminded her, the voices were now louder and clearer. A few words she understood while others were foreign. One word stood out was’ Zubat’. It was repeated so often by the Pokémon and humans alike that she couldn’t help but try it for herself. “Zu-zu-zu”, she cried. That came as natural as…as…saying her own name. The voices seemed to be amused by this simple feat. With the revelation of how to make sound also came the revelation of how to use sound. She realized that for every time she spoke her voice would bounce back. The longer it took the farther away it was and the smaller the object the fainter the echo the bigger the louder. She eventually began to process this information unconsciously and a thus a picture formed. The image was not as detailed as she would’ve liked but it was enough to keep her from crashing into walls and other potentially harmful objects. Then as soon as she as it had begun it ended. The mother voice, as she called it, had spoken and the next thing she knew she was trapped. Once again she was in darkness, being as blind as a bat it was always dark to her but this one had an especially eerie feel to it. Am I back inside again my egg, she thought for a second before dismissing it as impossible. At first she was scared, who wouldn’t be, but something reassured her not to struggle; besides the place was growing out her. /~/ Xavier watched as his newly hatched Zubat was absorbed into his Pokeball. Within in seconds the Zubat was caught. Xavier, who was use to seeing the ball shake a few times, was surprised how easily Zubat was captured. Anyways a catch was catch. As soon as it became clear that Zubat was caught Xavier let her back out and left the Pokécenter. Zubat was happy to be out, she was now able to stretch her wings. Though she was not able to fly yet she managed to reach Xavier’s shoulder with a few flaps or her wings and the help of Xavier. She felt safe there and was able to use echolocation to get a good look at the landscape. The high screeches she emitted every five minute or so did not bother him, mainly because he wasn’t able to hear them. Unfortunately that was not the case for Growlithe whose sensitive hearing caused him to be an extreme pain. But due to his kind nature he just tried his best to ignore it and kept walking Halfway to his predetermined destination an important fact dawned on him, he needed to nickname his Zubat. Though it wasn’t like he had to name it since Zubat was a pretty good name on it’s on, but he already named his other two so why stop now. He thought long and hard about this one until he finally got inspiration from an entry from his Pokedex. “Hey Zubat, what do you think about the name Luna?” he asked. Zubat, who appeared to have fallen asleep on his shoulder (but since she had no eyes she always looked that way), knew he was talking to her but she did not know how to answer. “Just move your head up and down, you can understand that can’t you birdbrain?”, came the malicious voice of Tempest. Growlithe was about to open it mouth to apologize for Tempest bad but was quickly stopped by Tempest. Fortunately, Zubat did understand and began to nod her head. “Okay then your new name shall be Luna, then”. Zubat(Now to be known as Luna) was happy even though she only managed to decipher half of what Xavier had said. Now that that was out the way, Xavier was free to do other things. Such as go to the Pokémart, enjoy the scenery, or there was always the option of staring blankly at the hot girl that was now directly in front of him. He would’ve kept staring if Growlithe didn’t bump into his leg tacking him out of La la Land and dropping him off back into reality. By the look she gave him it was clear she wanted a battle. A battle sounded pretty good right about now. His Pokémon were fully healed, and was clear that any one of them would be a good choice (well any of them except Luna of course). Xavier couldn’t find any logical reason why not to accept. So he nodded his head and waited to see what his opponent would send out. |

What was about a woman that made a man lose all self control and sense of dignity? Was it the way they dressed, the make-up they wore, or was it just their sense of humor and stunning personality. Well whatever the reason Xavier was once again staring open-mouthed at the gorgeous lass. Tempest found this whole pseudo utterly disgusting. His trainer was making a fool of himself over just another female. First the Zubat and now this. It was clear that Tempest had enough with be ignored and wasn’t going to take it anymore. Just one hit couldn’t hurt…much, and with that in mind Tempest charged into Xavier which caused him yell, “Ouch! ” and also to close that gapping mouth of his. When asked why he did that Tempest gave Xavier an I-have-no-idea-what-your-talking-about look while Sprocket held back its laughter. And Zubat just keep on Snoozing. Xavier, who had just been brought into reality, had found a new object to look at. It was a Duskull, though he didn’t realize it yet the Pokémon was actually shiny. As if it was second nature he brought out his Poketech and looked up the information on Duskull. That’s when he noticed the 3D image he was viewing and the Pokémon in front of him did not match. This could mean only one of two things. Either his Poketech was malfunctioning or that Duskull was one of the few shiny Pokémon he had heard so much about. The next thing came as a total surprise. As it turns outs the lady wanted to make a bet for one of his Pokémon in exchange for her Abra. Xavier was not too fond of gambling especially when the stakes were this high. He had no doubt in his mind that Tempest and Sprocket could win it. But the small chance that they didn’t Xavier couldn’t bear to think of what he would do without one of them. But alas it was as much of their decision as his. “So what do you guys think?” Sprocket was the first one to answer. “Growlithe”, he said followed by a bark or two. It was clear from the expression on his face that he was up for it but he was also scared as well. Tempest, not to be out done, also agreed but was a little less enthusiastic. Luna, not wanting to be left out of the conversation added in some gibberish even Growlithe couldn’t decipher. “Well if you guys are sure. ” “We accept your wager. If you win you’ll get…my..my..Growlithe” Xavier said almost chocking on the last word and not bothering to stare at her. He mind was still trying to get over the fact that he might lose this battle and Sprocket. All that was left to do was think of a battle strategy. Preferably a strategy that didn’t end up making him lose Sprocket. After a second or too he finally came up with something. “Sprocket I want you to get as close as you can to that Abra then use Roar and then Bite. And Tempest you use Smokescreen and bubble on the odd colored Duskull”, Xavier commanded. Both Pokémon looked at each other and nodded. They were going to try their best for the sake of each other. You nervously, and highly unwillingly bet your close friend for a not so rare, easy to find, poke'mon, not the greatest idea but hey, back to the battle. Your Growlithe ran towards the Abra at full speed, Roaring with all it's might. The Abra was paralyzed with fear as it was charged at. Then your Growlithe opened it's jaws and chomped down on the weak little poke'mon, making it squirm around, it tried to teleport away but since it was in contact with your Growlithe, then they were both teleported. Abra tried once more and teleported into mid-air. Growlithe, realizing that he was falling, let go and was slammed into the ground, luckily it wasn't that high. Abra was atop a tree it had climbed, taunting you. Meanwhile, with the other group, your Horsey used a smokescreen on the Duskull. Confused and blinded, the duskull flew out and into a tree. It spun around and launched a Disable attack towards Horsey, who lost it's ability to use Smokescreen. Still being able to use bubble though, it launched an attack at the Duskull who took it with full force and flew back into the cloud of smoke. Xavier was beginning to have second thoughts about this whole bet thing. Was he really that willing to give up his precious Sprocket for just an Abra. He could have probably found one of those in the streets if he took the initiative to look. But unfortunately he thought of this a little too late. Now all he could do was watch and hope for the best. He turned his attention to Sprocket and Abra’s side of the battle. Sprocket had managed to frighten Abra enough to get a hit on it. That was good sign he supposed, but to Xavier’s disbelief Abra was still able to teleport and all too soon Abra was in a tree and Sprocket was barking up it. In any other situation Xavier would have laughed at this but now was not the time since Sprocket well-being was on the line. Plus the only way to get that Abra out of the tree was to start a wildfire and Xavier knew Smokey the Bear would highly disapprove. “Sprocket leave that Abra alone for now and go help out Tempest with that Duskulll”, said Xavier realizing that Sprocket was getting nowhere trying to climb the tree. Apparently Tempest was doing better. He had set up a smokescreen and managed to blind Duskull enough that it crashed into a tree. In retaliation the Duskull disabled the move, but the damage had been done. Since both Tempest and Sprocket were going to work together to take down the Duskull a simple offensive strategy would work. “Sprocket go into the smokescreen and see if you can sniff out the Duskull . When you do find him use Bite twice or if it tries to get away once you find it instead use roar then bite. Regardless, once you’re done get out of the smoke.” Now he turned his attention to Tempest who was just as eager to receive orders “When you see Sprocket come out of the Smokescreen I want you to use do your best to locate the Duskull and use Bubble twice.” Xavier was quite pleased with his orders and almost felt at ease, well that was mainly because he forgot that he had made the bet in the first place. But Luna had a strange way of reminding him. She would constantly make noise ranged from loud screeching to repeatedly saying variations of Zubat. At first the constant sound didn't bother him but after a while it began to annoy him. The only reason he could think of was that Luna must have been hungry. This presented a problem. If he remembered correctly from the Pokedex entry Zubat usually fed on blood or...That's it. Xavier rummaged through his pack and brought out a slightly bruised Orange. After peeling and splitting it into sections he gave a piece to Luna. She sniffed it before taking a bite out of it. The way she ate it was strange on it own. First she would suck out the juice then swallowed what remained. Xavier was temporarily distracted from the battle by trying to amuse Luna but he was quickly brought back into reality when a random fact crossed his mind. His the future of his team depended on this battle. Edited by Treecko99, Jan 3 2009, 10:39 PM.

Luna was odd in the way she ate the orange, and I can't blame you for being distracted. I never thought of actually studying a Zubat for anything, but I suppose that it may be very entertaining. Either way, you may not want to allow her to grab your attention from this battle any time soon, because as you said, your team depends on it. Sprocket stopped his barking and looked at you a moment before looking back up at Abra. Glaring at him, you saw Abra shiver, and you realized that he must have used his Intimidate ability. This would probably prove useful to you in the end of the battle, and once his work was done there, Sprocket ran over to Tempest. Looking into the Smokescreen, Sprocket seemed to hesitate, but only for a moment before he tore in there. You heard him bark, but it wasn't a Roar, and then you heard a ghastly sounding noise. It must have been Duskull being hurt by Sprocket, which meant that your Pokémon did exactly as you had hoped. He eventually made it back out, looking very pleased with himself and tossing his head around like he was a king. Duskull also came out and was headed straight for your Growlithe, and you could tell that vengeance was on his mind. The girl cried out to Duskull to watch out, but to no avail, as Tempest's first Bubble attack hit home. And that was all it took to finish off the Ghost Pokémon, whom the girl returned, tears in her eyes. She knew that there was a very strong chance that she could end up losing one of her Pokémon, and it seems that she was sorry for making that bet now. Upon her command, Abra teleported down, but was immediately caught off guard by the second Bubble that Tempest was holding back. You could see that the girl was just about to burst into tears, and it took a bit for her to regain her composure. But eventually she did, and then she commanded Abra to use a Teleport to get above your two Pokémon. After that you heard the words that couldn't be worse for you. She told him to use a Thunderpunch on Tempest, and you knew that this girl must be some kind of breeder. If I were you, I'd be just about panicking right now, but you can't do that, because your Pokémon depend on you right now. What will you do to counter this new attack? ![]() Level 6 27/37 65%---------------- ![]() Level 6 37/37 70% ![]() Level 6 33/37 80%

Now that Luna was content Xavier was now free to watch the battle with…minor interruptions. His Pokémon were doing an excellent job of working together. From what Xavier could see Sprocket went into the smokescreen only to return seconds later with the Duskull on its tail. Before Xavier could mutter a word of warning Tempest had struck the beast with a bubble and with that the Duskull was done for. That was his Tempest, always one step ahead of him. It was beginning to look like they would actually win this all that was left to do was to take out that pesky Abra. Speaking of which where was the little bugger. Last time he checked it was in the tree but now it was nowhere to be found. That’s when Tempest fired a second bubble attack. Once again Tempest had outdone him by finding the foe. It wouldn’t be long now until the battle was finally over. He had spoken to soon. Now the Abra was above both his Pokémon and her trainer had just ordered a Thunderpunch. Xavier had no time to think all he knew that he would have to Tempest out of there as fast as possible. “Tempest use agility and quick! Then turn around and fire Bubble on the Abra”, these words came almost automatically. “And Sprocket I’ve got an important job for you”, he said turning his attention to the happy pup. “I am going to need you to keep Abra distracted and keep it away from Tempest because one Thunderpunch could do serious damage. I want you to do this by firing an ember to get its attention and then when you are able to get close enough use Bite.” Xavier was now breathing heavily. Just seconds ago he felt like he had this battle in the bag but he didn’t account for the Abra knowing that extra move. Even Luna seemed to be excited, but that was also to be expected since this was in fact her first time Edited by Treecko99, Jan 4 2009, 12:07 PM.

Having just received 36 each from together conquering the Duskull, your Pokémon were feeling more powerful. But they could tell that there was a bit of fear in your voice, and they knew that they had to act fast. With an Agility, Horse moved away and then turned to shoot a Bubble at the Abra, only to see that she had followed him. There was a crackle and a pop as Abra's fist made contact with Horsea, just as Growlithe had shot an Ember past her to get her attention. Of course that had failed, and Growlithe felt bad, knowing that he should have done something different to get him away from Horsea. Almost fainted, Horsea shot off the Bubble anyways, which smacked Abra in the face. Her trainer grinned gleefully, saying that this was just about over and you'd end up being sorry once things were all said and done. Just as she was about to give out another command though, Growlithe grabbed Abra's arm with a Bite. Eyes wide, the girl told Abra to use another Thunderpunch, this time on Growlithe, but before that could be carried out, Growlithe ended it. Snarling, he tossed his head up and let go of Abra who was thrown into the air, and then crashed down onto the ground, knocking her out. The girl gasped, a hand flying to her mouth, and both of your Pokémon receive an addition 36: exp both of them now Level 7. "No... you... you won? You defeated me?" Horrified, she returned Abra and stared at you, knowing that this meant that she owed you the Pokémon she promised. But she didn't want to, and so she panicked and took off, running away as fast as she could, although she definitely was no track star. Your reactions? Edited by DarkSlayer1331, Jan 5 2009, 02:43 PM.

What could happen , Xavier thought as he watched the battle before him. Luna, who had finished devouring the orange he had given her, was being less of a nuisance and actually kept quiet for most of this round which gave Xavier the opportunity to think of a new strategy before hand if needed. So far Tempest had followed orders to near perfection, but still Abra managed to catch up with him and deliver the blow. To Xavier’s disbelief Tempest not only survived the attack but also was able to use Bubble as well. But that didn’t stop Abra’s trainer from gloating. Xavier had no doubt that the battle would go in his favor but the gloating from the trainer just plain irritated him. The more she talked the more Xavier wanted to shut her up…for good. But Sprocket beat him to it. With just a bite and an ember Sprocket had managed to defeat the Abra. This, of course, had put the girl in her place. “Good job Sprocket.” Xavier said before glancing at a injured Tempest. “You too Tempest. But it looks like that Abra has done some serious damage to you. Probably it’d be for the best if you go back inside your Pokeball, just until I can get you healed up.” Tempest did not put up any resistance this time. It was obvious that this battle had taken a lot out of him. Just as Xavier was about to do the same to Growlithe he noticed that the trainer was starting to run. Didn’t she owe him something? Yes that Abra! Xavier really didn’t want the Abra that much but after all the gloating the girl had done he felt like he deserved it. He quickly turned to Growlithe who had a look of bewilderment on its face as well. Even he knew something was amiss. “Growlithe I want you to use Agility and get infront of the girl. That should stop her in her tracks, but incase it doesn’t I want you to keep on following her but do not attack her unless you find it absolutely necessary. And don’t worry, I won’t be far behind.” Growlithe nodded and went straight to work chasing the backstabbing yet oddly hot girl. Xavier was right behind him. He had already thought of what to say once he caught up with her. He would start off with, “Wait a minute don’t you owe me something.” If she said no or denied giving him the Abra, which he knew she would, then he would say, “But didn’t I win the battle fair and square so why won’t you hold up your end of the bargain. It’s only fair.” Xavier didn’t know what to say after that, but he knew he would think up of something sooner or later. Edited by Treecko99, Jan 5 2009, 04:44 PM.

If you really don't want the Abra, then why bother taking it from the girl, who obviously doesn't want to give it up? Sure, she'd probably have made you give up Growlithe, but then again, doesn't it make sense that that's 'cuz she wanted it? Perhaps you should have said that you wanted to choose the Pokémon she would have to give up. Why would you just let her choose the Pokémon she'll give up, instead of both of you choosing the Pokémon you both wanted? That would have made much more sense, especially since she probably would have picked Growlithe anyways. After all, who wouldn't want a Growlithe? Anyways, your dog ran after her, barking and all but foaming at the mouth, which caused her to scream and try to run faster. Of course she really couldn't run that fast, and if you looked at her good, you'd probably have guessed that anyways. Frankly I think she looks like she belongs on the corner with her finger twirling her hair and trying to pick someone up. Then again, you find her highly attractive, so maybe you could try to get payment some other way than her Pokémon. Don't give me that dirty look, mister, you know what I'm talking about and you know you would definitely not mind that at all. Just as your dog finally caught up with her, you right behind them, she turned around and put her arms over her head. Growlithe stopped and barked at her, making her burst out into tears and push the Pokeball out towards you. With what you said, she only glared at you before biting her lip and turning away from you, ashamed to look you in the eye. At least she seemed to know that her trying to ditch you without giving you what you had won was wrong. But clearly something was seriously bothering her about giving up an Abra, and you can't help but wonder why since they're pretty common. "My mother gave me that Abra before she passed away, and I promised to take good care of her. Now I have to give it up because I was stupid enought o place it in a bet. She would be so ashamed of me! Please, I'm begging you to let me keep my Abra. I'll do anything for you, just as long as I don't have to give you my Abra." Her eyes pleaded with yours, and you could tell that she was just about serious, although I can tell you right now she's not going to give you her body either. Maybe there's something else she has that you would like to take? Or just some money or something? I don't know, just try to get something else from her I guess. |

Sprocket had done as he had ordered and within seconds had already caught up with the girl. Xavier on the other hand was having trouble keeping up. It wasn’t because he was a slow runner, because if given the chance he would be able to run circles around his opponent. It was instead the fact that he was having trouble running and keeping Luna on his shoulder at the same time. Luna, having to legs to grip with, constantly lost her balance and feel of her perch and Xavier would have to catch her every time this happened. While in the process of catching Luna for the second time a notion came to him. Why in the world was he chasing after this girl for if he didn’t want that Abra? And if that’s the case why did he accept the bet in first place if he had didn’t want it? Was it because deep inside he actually wanted the Abra? Nah, he thought. If he had really wanted the Abra he could go out and look for one, it shouldn’t be that hard. If not that, then what? Little did he know that he find the true answer within the next few seconds. When Xavier had finally caught up with the two he was nearly out of breath. When he took a look at the girl he once found attractive he was surprised at how much Growlithe had frighten her and the Pokeball was now within his grasp. Instead of feeling sorry for her he felt pleased. He now knew why he had started the chase. Just to see her like this. Xavier had to admit this was kinda harsh, but the more he thought about it the more it seemed that he should take the Abra. Afterall, wouldn’t she have taken his Growlithe if she had won? But then again, wouldn’t he have also done the same thing she was doing right now? "My mother gave me that Abra before she passed away, and I promised to take good care of her. Now I have to give it up because I was stupid enought o place it in a bet. She would be so ashamed of me! Please, I'm begging you to let me keep my Abra. I'll do anything for you, just as long as I don't have to give you my Abra." The choice was now obvious. He had to let her keep the Abra, he couldn’t live with himself if had done otherwise. He also began to feel ashamed of himself for putting her through this. Even though she offered other forms of payments (not the perverted ones >_>) he couldn’t bring himself to accept anyone of those either. So his only other option was to leave her be. He turned to Sprocket and said, “Come on boy, we…I have caused enough trouble”. And with that he walked off feeling like the pile of scum he was. Xavier had two choices of where he wanted to go next. He could either go to the Pokémart and pick up some much needed supplies or go to the Pokécenter and heal up Tempest and Sprocket. Now that he thought about it, it really was a no brainer. He had to of course heal them as soon as possible just incase anything unexpected happened. So he withdrew Sprocket, who was now not looking so good, in order to be able to get him healed as soon as possible once he got there. Edited by Treecko99, Jan 6 2009, 05:48 PM.

each from together conquering the Duskull, your Pokémon were feeling more powerful.
