A psychic Pokémon trainer needs psychic Pokémon? Well, that’s a novel idea. Maybe one worth looking into. After all, you had lots of time, and you weren’t sure what all was out there. Maybe there were some psychics as well. But, as it was you tossed out the Healball. It bounced of the green bug Pokémon, making both the ball, and the bug fall off the tree and into the tall grass. But, you saw the distinctive red light. And moments later, your Healball dinged. Looks like you just caught your self a Caterpie! (I’ll update your profile too.) After collecting the Healball, it was now time to find that Phanpy. So you fallowed the sounds of your birds and the small elephant. It was a hike and a half through the tall grass. But you managed to pass through some leafy trees, more grass and found a clearing. Soulster and Slyster circled the blue elephant, ducking in to attack once and a while. But the Phanpy wasn’t a wimp either. He fought back hard. (Soulster) Level 6 15/37 88% (Slyster) Level 5 17/35 82%-VS- Level 10 37/45 75%

"That was to easy. But caterpies are good later on." Blaze said with a grin. After picking up his pokeball, he left to go search for his 2 Pokémon. He found them fighting a phanpy, it looked tough as his Pokémon looked hurt. He thought about what to do as he checked his poketch. 'Phanpy the Long nose Pokémon. It is strong dispite its compact size. It can easily pick up and carry an adult human on its back.' The poketch stated to him. He looked up as an idea struck him, he reached and picked up Dracos's pokeball. "Soulster... Slyster return now. Dracos I choose you." He said releasing Bagon from her pokeball. "Soulster... Slyster... Salam. You 3 did a good job out there. Now rest, there maybe more Pokémon out there. I need all my Pokémon rested for now." He said looking at them with a grin. All 3 Pokémon were returned to their repective pokeballs. "Dracos, I want you to use agility to boost your speed and to help you dodge the phanpy's attacks. After that use a headbutt attack on the phanpy. Try to dodge as many of its attacks as you can." He said as Dracos got ready to attack. Phanpy wasn't one of his favorite Pokémon, but it was a Pokémon he could trade for later. Which is what he was gonna do, trade the phanpy for a psychic Pokémon. He hoped that by switching out Pokémon he could confound the phanpy long enough for Dracos to get in a successful headbutt attack. But even if she didn't, the agility would allow her to dodge the attacks sent by the little Pokémon. All he could hope for now was to catch as many Pokémon as he could. |

Wow that Phanpy had done quite a lot to your birds; they were nearly down and out of it when you finally arrived on the scene to witness a powerful looking Phanpy doing battle with your Soulster and your other birds. Wisely you recalled all three of your bird Pokémon knowing that they would do no good against the ground-type. Thus you sent out your rare Bagon in order to do battle with the ground-type. A dragon vs an elephant. China vs. India. Oh wait, this isn't the real world I must have forgotten. "Dracos, I want you to use agility!" you called out to your dragon, and so he did. Agility wasn't exactly the strong-suite of a dense-compact dragon, but he did manage to do it well. However Phanpy was a practicle Pokémon with a very nice egg-move that you would undoubtedly remember hereafter. As Bagon rushed towards Phanpy with the intent to do some major damage to it, Phanpy stomped on the ground, releasing a powerful Earthquake attack. Yes, yes, Donphan are very generous with giving egg-moves to their off-spring, undoubtedly to your chagrin. But not all was lost; Dracos was able to avoid the splitting crack in the ground that formed, but was damaged by the rumbling nevertheless. In addition, he was able to score a nice hit against Phanpy with his headbutt, so in all you weren't in a terrible position. If you still want to continue this fight, go ahead but this ground-Pokémon was going to fight until it couldn't get up any longer. After you use a ball on this one, there will only be one more ball left in your posession methinks. Anyhow, good luck with this one. Level 7 22/39 90%Vs. Level 10 30/47 75%

Blaze looked at the phanpy in shock; he wasn't expecting such a small Pokémon to know such a powerful attack this early on. But thats something to be thought about later, right now catching and moving on were more important. Blaze figured out what to do first, this phanpy was likely to use that move again. He reached in and send out Rocky, his levitating form should give him an advantage. "Okay Dracos, I want you to use headbutt then follow through with a bite attack. Rocky I want you to use harden then use a confusion attack on the Phanpy." Blaze said as his Pokémon got ready for the next round of attacks. Blaze wasn't to worried about his Pokémon, they could handle this little Pokémon even if it did know earthquake. He still had 4 regular pokeballs, a duskball, and a masterball. So it wasn't like he was gonna be running out of pokeballs anytime soon. He hoped that he could find a uncommon or rare Pokémon in the reserve. The chances of that were probably higher then normal then in the outside world. With a bit of luck and some determination, he could pretty much find what he needed for the upcoming battles against the trainers. He felt a little guilty over having more then six pokeballs on him, but that was pushed aside. He figured that it had to do with the event, and was probably legalized. But when he was done in the reserve he was gonna ask about a PC so he could put 6 Pokémon into his storage unit. That'd make it better, at least for his ethical approch to being a trainer. But oh well he'd deal with that stack of cards later on, but now its battle time. |

As your Solrock started to Harden up and boost its defense, Dracos went in for the Headbutt. Phanpy lifted his trunk and looked like he was going to use Pound, but Dracos still kept on. Though Phanpy did strike Dracos, more damage was done to him than the dragon, and she wasn't done. Following through with everything you said, she also used the Bite that you asked for. clamping down hard on the little elephant. He let out a large trumpet of pain and Dracos ran off so that Rocky could go about its business. Phanpy looked at the floating sun looking Pokémon and somehow seemed to realize that he couldn't damage it with Earthquake. So instead, he just stared dead on into the Solrock's eyes, almost completely knocked out. He was easily tossed aside with the Confusion, the force finishing the job and completely knocking him out. I don't think he'll be fighting your capture any time soon if you plan on capturing him, which I'm assuming you ar. So take your capture stance and let that Pokeball soar. Since you didn't have your other Pokémon attack the Phanpy, only Dracos and Rocky will get experience. Dracos receives 65 and Rocky gets 60 This will be added in right away.

Blaze grinned, he got the Pokémon down and out of the way. All he had to do was capture the Pokémon for later use. How envious everyone will be when he showed them an earthquake using Phanpy. He got out his duskball out of his pokeball pocket, and tossed it out at the phanpy. "Okay Salem, I want you to lead me to where you last saw the jigglypuff. That is after I catch this Phanpy for later use." He said looking at Salem. As much as he cared for his Pokémon, he enjoyed catching Pokémon that he considered special. The special Pokémon had a quality to them, that other Pokémon didn't. That quality was being different from the rest of the same species of Pokémon. The challange of any Pokémon trainer was bettering oneself, using Pokémon that one never had dealings with was a challange. He hoped someday to become the greatest psychic Pokémon trainer. Only then could he beat that master thief... only then could he prove himself to the world. That he was the greatest psychic Pokémon trainer. But until then, he was gonna to catch that phanpy. Then he was going to go onwards to fight other Pokémon and catch them as well. |

You heard a satisfying 'click' as the pokeball closed over the Phanpy and no struggle was made. This catching game was turning out to be quite profitable after-all. Though you don't particuarly like Phanpy, he would surely make all the difference once you had to battle him against the other trainer who was also somewhere in the area. However, in the distance there seemed to be a great deal of turmoil going on--whole ecosystems were being destroyed unbeknowst to you. All hell was breaking loose and it would only be a matter of time before you would have to join it, but lucky for you that wasn't the case right now. But if I was in your position I'd hurry up and end the catching game ASAP before whatever is fighting on the horizon gets any closer. Salem was on edge as she flew looking around for Jigglypuff. The desire to hurry up with this thing fueled her wings and soon enough she had spotted the Pokémon that you were looking for. Hurry now. Level 8 41/41 100%

Blaze followed his Murkrow, although there was a strange feel in the air now. He simply shrugged it off as one of those strange feelings that he got off and on. Murkrow seemed to want this event to be over just as well, although the trainer matches wouldn't be held until after everyone caught 6 Pokémon. He looked and saw the Jigglypuff standing there already to fight and that. He got out his poketech to gather infomation on this Pokémon. 'Jigglypuff the balloon Pokémon. When it wavers its big, round eyes, it begins singing a lullaby that makes everyone drowsy.' The poketech stated as it showed a picture of a jigglypuff. Blaze followed the infomation as he came up with a plan as he looked at the jigglypuff. "Okay this is how we're gonna do things here. I know your hurting Soulster, but give it your best." Blaze said as he released Soulster from his pokeball. Soulster looked hurt from his fight with the phanpy, but he knew he'd fight if he needed him too. "Okay Salem I want you to use agility followed by a peck attack. Use the agility to avoid any attacks from the jigglypuff. Soulster I want you to use growl on the jigglypuff followed by a gust attack. Both of you try not to get hit, and don't listen to the jigglypuff if it starts singing." He said knowing that they'd both follow his orders as best they could. Heck with it his Pokémon probably could fight this on their own, and leave him drinking tea and having tea cakes. But thats not what he was gonna do, for a Pokémon to trust you. You had to show that you were capable of leading them to victory. Thats what he was gonna to do, thats what he wanted to do. Show everyone he was perfectly capable of taking care of things. But he simply couldn't shake a feeling that was starting to develop on the back of his neck. He planned to be extra careful and not to do anything rash at the moment. Who knows what that feeling was trying to tell him, or warn him. But anyways he needed to focus on his battle and the event. There was no time to be guessing the future or what it intaled. |

((OOC- I must be patient for my muse to return) How nice a Jigglypuff for you. Alright well, this is going to be quick because she doesn't like birds and we need to hurry this up and get you a good Pokémon. Oh and I forgot to mention, Tohea is literally being destroyed around you (Not in the immideiate vicinity, but it is obvious that the legendaries are fighting it out in the skies in the region). Calmy you told your Pokémon your orders for fighting the Jigglypuff. Bravely they carried them out. Both Salem and Soulster carried out their moves with finesse and skill, one using Growl to weaken Jigglypuff's attack and the other using agility in order to gain momentum to use a powerful Peck attack. With a fierce 'caw' Salem dived at the Jigglypuff (who was clearly frightened by the birds) and scored a perfect hit in between the eyes of the balloon Pokémon. With practiced ease, Soulster followed up the attack by wilding waving her wings and releasing a powerful gust attack in order to severely weaken the Jigglypuff. Good job to your team, Jigglypuff is primed and ready to capture now. Blaze noticed that there was something going on in the skies above. But right now he chose to ignore it, and concentrate on what he was doing. That was battling the Jigglypuff, he was currently happy that his Pokémon were okay. The Jigglypuff looked hurt and scared, he'd be scared too if he was that Jigglypuff. He saw an Abra heading his way, he couldn't believe it. Abras were' uncommon at best, and here he was seeing one. Blaze thought about it, and got a regular pokeball out and throw it at the Jigglypuff. While he was waiting for the pokeball to capture the Jigglypuff he got out his poketech for a look at the Abra. 'Abra the Psi Pokémon. It sleeps for 18 hours a day. Even while asleep, it maintains a telepathic radar. It teleports when it is threatened. Even when awake, it teleports itself while remaining seated.' The poketech stated with its usual monotone voice. "Good work Soulster, Salem. Return." He said returning them back to their respective pokeballs. He was happy that he was finally gonna to catch a psychic Pokémon. Although he was happy that he was getting some rather good Pokémon. He quickly thought about which Pokémon to use. Currently most of his Pokémon were starting to get hurt battling Pokémon. He wasn't gonna use the Pokémon that he recently caught though. They were mostly hurt as well, and he didn't want to break any unspoken rules just yet. But that could wait until after he captured this Abra, he smirked as he reached for his masterball that was given to him. It was nice that the family was good enough to give him and possibly every trainer involved a masterball and 2 specialty balls. Well he knew how tricky that abra's could be in battle, he wasn't gonna to play fair. He was gonna to make it quick and easy with the masterball. He shrugged as he looked at the abra, and waited for the other pokeball to ding. Today was a good day for capturing Pokémon, no matter what happened. Edited by Bahamutrant, Jan 24 2009, 07:47 PM.
