Blaze followed Lady Grace back to her mansion area for safety. He entered a nice part of the house, he loved the materials that she had the builders and that used. He watched the tv and the news reporter, and grinned as they gave the news report.

"Kinda of obvious that we should stay inside until the event was finished." He said to no one. He knew that no one expected the event to happen in the first place. His only hope was the next time it happened, they'ed have an idea on how to deal it better.

He saw lady Grace turn off the tv with a remote, and then she spoke to him. While it was true she owed him her gratitude, he wasn't gonna expect it. He was a psychic Pokémon trainer, not someone that needed gratituded when it was expected. Although it wasn't gonna deny her from giving her gratitude, but he wasn't gonna let her expectations of him down.

"Well first, Lady Grace... I do intend of keeping one of the creatures for study. Maybe get an understanding of what they are, and where their from. Also get and idea of what they can and can't do. The second creature I'm gonna trade off to another trainer. Maybe the other trainer can see something in or about the creature that I didn't or couldn't. That way the next time they show up or the event happens again, the people aren't taken back as much as they were." He said allowing his confidence to shine through. His curiosity was sparked by these creatures. And he wasn't gonna let them go, not without seeing what he could learn about them.

"The things we could learn about this creatures are great. These are potentally Pokémon that no one has ever seen before. The knowledge we could gain would potentally help people out, and show that our planet, our world isn't the only place that has Pokémon. Finally maybe someday we could visit those worlds too, see what they have. See what they know, learn and grow." He said as he was trying to sound convincing. He was starting to feel like he was over pressing. He wasn't to sure if she'd care or not, but he wanted to let her knew where he stood with it.

"But then again thats just me, I don't speak for everyone. Nor do I intend to speak for everyone, I just want to become the greatest psychic Pokémon trainer I can become. I can't do alone, nor can I expect my Pokémon to do it for me. We work together as a team, as people will have to do. Just in case these creatures return, that way we can know what to expect." He said with a wishful expression on his face. He couldn't tell wither or not she was impressed or not with his speech, but he couldn't care less. All he was glad for was that no one was injured or hurt, shook up maybe, but not hurt.

((Using default color until I can find one that doesn't annoy the crap out of everyone XD ))

As you gave your speech, one that was actually fairly impressive to come up with right on the fly like that, if you'd been looking in Liana's direction, you could've seen something building up in her eyes that resembled emotion, and directed at you. However, as you were too busy frantically searching for the right words as you talked, you missed out on mistress venom's look of warmth. It wasn't that you were blindly ignoring her, it was just that things tended to turn out in a way that made you unable to see these things.

But, as you might've guessed, (or not, I'm not really sure,) this time that you'd spent around your Psychic Pokémon, especially the Ralts, and with your cousin, had given you a bit of empathic ability. Nothing amazing, really, but it was how you'd been able to tell the change in mood of Lady Grace so easily, and that it really wasn't just an act, and the fact that, even though Max had something of a snotty, snobbish attitude, you knew he was really a good guy at heart.

Because of this, you were picking up on these feelings coming from the snake-charmer, but whether you were going to act on them was entirely up to you. She wasn't a bad looking girl, and though she had a few...interesting choices for her Pokémon, not to mention her reasons for raising them, she was obviously quite skilled and would make for a worthwhile companion if nothing else. But who could say for sure? You'd have to walk that road, if you wanted to know.

In response to your words, the Lady of the house nodded slowly, as if appreciating what you said. "Not a bad set of sentiments, Blaze, was it? I can see that I was wrong in my initial judgment of you...at least for the most part. You've obviously got a decent head on those shoulders of yours, even if your hair is a bit mussy. Maxie could stand to learn a thing or two from you, couldn't you, Maxie?" she cooed at her son, who just nodded in response, still quite impressed with your showing earlier.

"Well, I was going to have you stay to sharpen your skills, but I'm not sure that's necessarily in order, anymore. You've proven that you know what you're doing in Pokémon battling, as did you, Liana. So the two of you are still welcome to stay in participate in my Trainers of Tomorrow program tomorrow, but if you'd prefer not to, at least let me offer you a good night's rest here. I'm sure that my home is far more preferable to the old musty cots that you can find in the Poke Centers," she offered, and from what you could tell, she seemed sincere.

Liana looked to you, as if planning to coincide her decision with your own. So what was your choice? You've got a bunch of them, plus a few I probably haven't thought about. As Captain Planet would say: The Power is Yours!

Blaze looked at Lady Grace, as much as he'd love to go to hurst, he'd also love participating in the trainers of tomorrow program. He wanted to think about it, a break from travelling would be a welcome to his Pokémon. He could check out the program tomorrow, head to the beach for a few hours to give his Pokémon some free time. Then he could see about heading out to hurst.

"Thank you for your generous offers Lady Grace. I'll participate in the Trainers of Tomorrow Program at least for a few hours." He said with a polite bow. As much as he would love to continue with his journey tomorrow, he couldn't be considered rude to refuse such an offer.

Blaze knew that if Lady Grace wanted, his life from here on wards could be hard. He checked his pokeballs to make sure they weren't damaged in the battle, and brought out his Pokémon. He didn't want his Pokémon getting stuck in their pokeballs, right now they seemed fine, but they malfunctioned once. He didn't want them to malfunction again, and trap his precious Pokémon inside them.

"I'm gonna have to have these pokeballs checked out tomorrow. They malfunctioned once, I don't want them to malfunction again. Its bad for a trainer to have malfunctioning pokeballs." He said continuing to check out his pokeballs. (Keep your minds out of the gutter people).

He knew they probably wouldn't malfunction again, considering that there were safeguards against such things. But he couldn't help but worry about it, and his Pokémon were his family right now. Right now though, some rest and pokesnacks for his Pokémon were in order.

Clapping her hands, a smile lit up Lady Grace's face. "Splendid! Just splendid! I know that you won't be disappointed! Now, the other children are already up in their rooms, and, I'll be honest, I didn't expect you to stick around. But I've only got one open bedroom, right now." She paused, then glanced at Liana, who was doing her best not to look interested. However, the girl wasn't doing that great of a job, and anyone looking closely at her would see that there was a faint red flush in her cheeks. "Liana, darling, were you going to stick around too?"

The girl placed a finger on her chin, as if thinking about the question, though she would've had ample time already. It seemed as if she was stalling for time, as if to make it seem like her answer wasn't rushed. "Yes," she said after a few seconds, nodding to Lady Grace. "Those who treat Pokémon poorly need to pay, and I'll get any amount of training I can get in, in order to rain judgmet down upon them," she said seriously, crossing her arms over her chest.

Lady Grace smiled at her, and her eyes went back and forth between the two of you. "I suppose that the two of you will have to stay in the room. There are two beds, so I don't think you'll be too crowded. Sadly, this is just a vacation home of mine, otherwise there would be enough rooms for each of your Pokémon to have their own," she said, followed by a long, hollow-sounding laugh that caused Max to shake his head in embarrassment. "But I digress. You and your Pokémon must be tired. Please go on up to your rooms. There is food and beverage for both you and your Pokémon already provided."

Nodding, you started off after the butler, followed by Liana, who was a few steps behind. "The program start tomorrow morning at nine o'clock sharp, so if you want breakfast, you had better wake up early!" she called after you as you made your way up the stairs.

"Maybe we'll get a chance to finish our duel tomorrow, Blaze," Liana said softly, her Ekans' tongue flicking in and out as it watched you. "I'm curious to see how it will turn out."

((You can chat with Liana for a bit or you can have Blaze head right to sleep. Up to you ^^ Also, your promo will show up in the next post.))

Blaze smiled, but said nothing for a few minutes. Getting some more training would be nice, and a possible break from having go and stop crime.

"I'm sure that if we're pitted against each other, I'm gonna have my work cut out. Besides it'll give me a chance to train my 2 murkrow. Which reminds me that I should go and check out a pc for my other Pokémon." He said walking to the room. He was tired but he wanted to give his Pokémon some food too.

"If you don't mind me asking where'd you find your Pokémon? My starly was given to me by my mother. My Bagon was given as a give from my father. My solrock was kinda of given from a thief. He kidnapped me to battle him, and then he used a kadabra to escape. My ralts was a gift from a shopkeepr, and my murkrow I caught myself." He said, wanting to make some small conversation while getting food for his Pokémon.

Blaze had realized that he really hadn't eaten much that day. His Pokémon were probably starving, as was he. As much as he hated to admit it, rich people had it made. Only thing he hated was being rich tended to make for soft people, although the was an expection to every rule. Max could be a great trainer given time, and a personal trainer. Liana was a great person as well, but she really wasn't his type. He just wanted to get to know her a little better before tomorrow.

Although he did swing both ways, he wasn't really looking to date anyone at the moment. That could happen later, right now his main goal was to become a master trainer of psychic Pokémon. Tomorrow would prove to be an interesting day, with a trainer program then a few hours on the beach. He wondered what tomorrow held as far as action would be?

Liana followed you up the stairs and into your shared room. When Lady Grace had said the two of you would be sharing a room, you had imagined two beds in a cramped room. But, that was not found here. You and Liana were in a sweet suite. You entered the common room. It was decorated with a large leather sofa, a flat-screen TV and two chairs. There was also a small dining area, with a table for two, a mini-fridge and microwave. Beyond the dining area was a bathroom, with all the amenities you would image for such a room. And to either side of the suite, two open doors lead to separate bedrooms.

Liana wasted no time rushing into one of the rooms yelling “Dibs” as she did so. It was almost enough to make you laugh. She was such a serious girl, and yet her she was, almost acting like a normal person!

After she had stowed away her gear, Liana came back out to the common room to talk. “So, most of your Pokémon were gifts?” She shook her head, unimpressed. “I worked had to catch every Pokémon I have. I’ve climbed mountains, and crossed desserts to find them. Nothing stands between me and my goals.” Then she shot you a small look. It was hard to say what the look might mean. But, was there a faint flush in her face?

As you pondered the implications, there was a knock at the door. Cousin Maxie stepped in, not waiting for anyone to answer. “Lady Grace has asked me to give these to you both. As part of your training tomorrow. Get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a long day.”

And with that, Maxie handed Liana and you each a small package. He turned and left the room, closing the door behind him.

You had to wonder what was in the package, but Liana was faster than you. She rolled several pokeballs in her hands. “Wow! I wonder what kind of training we’ll need these for?” You looked in your own bundle and found a Masterball, a healball, and a duskball! Sweet.

(I'll add them to your profile:
:masterball
:healball
:duskball )

"Yeah, I won't debate that, nor will I deny the fact that I was given Pokémon. However I don't like using people's generosity, no matter what. The thief gave a Pokémon because I lasted longer then most people did, the storekeeper gave it to me after I helped him out. So I look at the Pokémon as being an award for doing something. But alas, I look at my Pokémon team as being my family, so I treat them as such." He said explaining his Pokémon team and how he felt about them.

Blaze didn't like how a few people would look at his Pokémon as being gifts. In essence they were, but to him they weren't. He simply hadn't really met that many Pokémon yet, that really caught his attention. A few he outright avoided, because they scared the living daylights out of him. The Pokémon in question were ghost type Pokémon.

Blaze looked over as Max entered the room, he looked at the package that he had given him. He couldn't say anything to max, namely because he lefted before he could. He looked the package over, before deciding to open it.

"Whatever their for, I'm sure their expecting them to be either used in the training. Or their just gifts that Lady Grace decided that we should have for our little event earlier." He said, not really wanting to imply anything.

"I don't know about you, but I think I'll turn in for the night. Night." He said, releasing his Pokémon out of their pokeballs. He took them into the bedroom, and took the bed that Liana didn't choose. He just go on the bed with his Pokémon to go to sleep for the big day the next day.

Morning came with the sounds of Liana eating in the common room much too early for your tastes. Thankfully you were able to get back to sleep. Then you heard a radio playing, and what sounded like someone jumping all over the room. You woke up just enough to think that Liana might be exercising. And while watching a young woman bounce around might be appealing, you found yourself asleep once more. Then came the knock on the door.

“Come on lazy! You’re going top be late! It’s eight forty-five!” Nuts! You had to be downstairs for training by nine! No time to get cleaned up, just grab your Pokémon and some food! Run down the stairs and you slipped into the training room just as the door was being shut. Whew! That was close.

You took a seat in the back of the room. You saw Liana sitting in the front, and it looked like there were six other trainers. Moments later, Lady Grace stood in front of the group.

“Today, I will allow each of you in my private Pokémon Sanctuary. You have 24 hours to catch as many Pokémon as you can. At the end of that time, you will all be sitting here once more. With your newly caught, and healed Pokémon we will have a small tournament. I want to see what you can do with new Pokémon that you have no relationship with. Maxie? Please show the students to the Sanctuary?”

Your cousin Max grunted a bit, but eventually led everyone though a series of doors. You ended up in a vast greenhouse like dome. Maxie said: “Ok, time starts now!” he hit a button, activating a count down clock.

Liana was the first person into the tropical trees. Other students ran out in various directions. From where you were you could see tall grass, wide, leafy trees, and in the far distance an artificial rock face with a waterfall. Wow! This would be an awesome place to hunt Pokémon!

Blaze looked around before running off towards the tall grass. He hoped to find more psychic types in the tall grass area, before heading off to the trees. He brought out Soulster, Salam, and Slyster to help him scout out Pokémon.

"Okay you 3 work together and help me find some Pokémon to catch in the tall grass. Which means scout ahead and come back when you find some wild Pokémon okay?" He said, as the 3 Pokémon nodded and flew off.

He watched them fly off, then started wandering around his current position so that his Pokémon could easily find him. He had absolutely no idea what was gonna be in the tall grass, or how strong they'd be. He looked around for any sign of what kind of Pokémon could be here. He knew they'd probably be Pokémon that were well suited for tall grass lands. Probably a lot of bird Pokémon too, if his knowledge of tall grass lands proved correct. All he could do was hope his Pokémon could find some Pokémon for him to catch.

You had called out three of your Pokémon. After telling them to seek out other Pokémon and report back, you had little to do but wait. You were hoping for psychic type, but you forgot to specify that with your Pokémon. So, it wasn’t surprising when Soulster returned first- very excited about the Caterpie it had had spotted. Thankfully, Salem had better news. He had spotted a Jigglypuff snoozing in a small nest.

From somewhere beyond the trees another trainer screams, and a burst of lightening shot into the air. That probably wasn’t good. The lightning had alerted the other Pokémon, as birds took to the air all over the place. The dome shape of the sanctuary reflected sound in every direction, making it very hard to know what noise came from where.

Well, you had two leads. You could chase the Caterpie, or the Jigglypuff. Or, you could wait for Slyster to report back.

"Okay Soulster we're gonna go after the Caterpie, but I also want to make sure that Slyster is okay. So lead us to where you saw the caterpie, then go and see if you can find Slyster. If he's okay lead him back to us, we're be where the caterpie is. If he's in trouble then come back and get us, don't try anything rash." He said making sure that his orders where completely understood.

"Okay after we capture the caterpie, and make sure that Slyster is okay. We're gonna go after the jigglypuff. You both did good work finding 2 good Pokémon. Now lets see about getting to the Caterpie." He said, allowing his Starly to lead him to where ever the small bug Pokémon was.

Blaze hoped that it wasn't far, and that Slyster was okay. If anything Soulster would find him and all would be well. Blaze didn't want to seem cruel to his Pokémon. Slyster was a new Pokémon, and he didn't want him to think that he had abandoned him in this place. He was beginning to have second thoughts about just taking off from where he was.

Well if it was worth anything, he didn't say he'd stay right there. He hoped that the other trainers would leave his Pokémon alone. If anything he probably did a foolish thing letting them scout ahead alone. Blaze shook his head, he couldn't afford to second guess himself. He was a trainer, sending Pokémon ahead was a smart move to make. It allowed the trainer to know in advance what his options were, where everything was, and what to expect. To second guess himself right now would prove to be more hardship. He had to trust his Pokémon to be able to take care of themselves. And thats what he was gonna do, he was gonna trust his Pokémon to be able to adapt to changes in plan. And that they'd be able to take care of themselves if they got into trouble.

Soulster led you through the tall grasses, waiting on you when he got too far ahead. After a few minutes, you found yourself in a small cluster of trees. They weren’t much taller then you were, and looked rather young. Clinging to the top branches you found the Caterpie. She sat, nibbling the green leaves. She stopped nibbling as you approached, growing very still. Maybe she thought you couldn’t see her if she stayed still.

:caterpie :female Level 4

Soulster knew that you had spotted the bug. He took to the air, off to find his wayward companion. You watched the bug, and as you crept closer you heard a call. “Star! Star!” Nuts! That sounded a lot like Soulster. Maybe he was in trouble. Or, maybe Slyster had found some trouble instead.

The sudden calls from the bird startled the bug though. The Caterpie attacked, using String Shot! You (and any accompanying bird Pokémon) were covered in sticky, web-like strings. Caterpie was trying to make a break for it, but that just meant a slow climb down the tree, before trying to get lost in the grass.

Things never seem to go easy when you’re a Pokémon trainer, do they?

Blaze followed Soulster to the caterpie, who seemed to be trying to hide from him. He did a quick search on his poketech for information.

"Caterpie the worm Pokémon. It releases a stench from its red antenna to repel enemies. It grows by molting rapidly." The poketech stated.

He was about to send out Salam against the caterpie, when a Starly called out. It sounded to much like soulster for him to ignore it. He sighed, either slyster or soulster were in trouble. He couldn't just ignore that possibility that they were in trouble.

"Darn it!" Blaze yelled as the caterpie had used string shot to cover him and Salam in a sticky mess. "Your not getting away that easy Caterpie. Your still mine!" He said directed at the caterpie.

He struggled to get out of the sticky webbing, Salam seemed to be having an easier time of it. All he needed was to get his arm free, to reach his masterball. He hated using it against such a weak Pokémon, but his other 2 Pokémon might be in danger. He needed to get to them so that he could make sure that they were safe.

'This is the last time I send out Pokémon as scouts during this type of event. At least I tried doing the best I could with scouting the Pokémon rather then just running off into the unknown, like the other trainers.' He thought as he struggled to get free so he could reach and use his masterball on the caterpie.

(OOC: Well this is fun. Getting caught in a sticky web, and having 2 Pokémon possibly in danger. Don't worry this won't be the last time he uses Pokémon as scouts. Its just that he's gonna use them out of events like this.)

You struggled against the sticky string. But, like you said, Salem was faster. The bird pounced on it’s natural prey, using Peck twice without being ordered to. The Caterpie was hurting bad already. Maybe you didn’t need to use that Masterball. Maybe one of the others would be better? Plus, then you could get to your other Pokémon. Maybe they found something cooler.

Your arm finally broke free, sending the string floating down to the ground. Now that you were free, you started checking your pockets for the various pokeballs. Out in the reserve, Soulster cried out again. “Star!” This time it was followed by another call. Something you hadn’t heard before. “PHAN-py! PHAN-py!”

Wow! Ok, now you had the Caterpie, a possible Jigglypuff and a possible Phanpy! Plus, you’d only been in the private Pokémon reserve for like twenty minutes! You still had a huge amount of time. Should you catch the bug? Should you go rescue your Pokémon? Should you explore the area more? You knew from the lightning blast you saw earlier that there must be electric-type Pokémon here as well. So many choices!

Blaze grinned as he watched Murkrow attack the escaping Caterpie. He liked Pokémon who could not only take orders, but think on their feet. Not that it really mattered to him, considering that he won most of the battles he entered into.

"Good work Salem." He said locating the pocket that held all of his pokeballs.

After catching this Pokémon, he'd go after his Pokémon to see if they were alright. If with any luck he could catch that phanpy and that Jigglypuff. 20 minutes and he already found 3 Pokémon. This possibly is the greatest day of his life. Being permitted on a Pokémon reserve, and being allowed to catch Pokémon on it.

Of course if he wanted to be the greatest psychic Pokémon trainer, he'd have to get more psychic Pokémon. Caterpie, Jigglypuff, and Phanpy weren't gonna cut it. Not that it matter, he was great with any Pokémon that he had. But that was bragging, if there was one thing he hated it was bragging. He hated braggers, and went out of his way to beat them. If he caught a good psychic Pokémon though he could most definitly win this competition event.

He grinned as he went for his only healball that he had. He looked at it and spinned it around on his hand. He thought about it before deciding to throw it at the caterpie. He watched it fly through the air, bug Pokémon or not, he was gonna catch this Pokémon. Afterwards he was gonna check on Soulster and Slyster and see if they were okay. Hopefully they were, and that the phanpy was following them. But he could wait a few moments to see if he caught the caterpie.
