Blaze was just walking through Tohea wanting to get through the town, so that he could get to route 1. When he came acrossed 2 strange women dressed identically, the only difference was their hair. When they talked about their master, Blaze started panicking. He had just gotten over one major event with a master thief. Now he was being thrust into another possible run in with another thief or crazied rich person. His Pokémon seemed nervous as well as they were moving around nervously.

Blaze thought about it, as he was pushed towards the house with the Mistress Grace in it. The scents were nice, but Blaze knew that somethings were more often then not what they seemed to be. He groaned when both of them told him that accidents happened to people who disobeyed the mistress.

'Well this can't be too bad... just go in, have lunch, and make a honorable leave. Well that is if all goes smoothly, and with my luck it won't.' he thought as the door opened up.

He walked in as the voice beckoned him in, he was just hoping that this wasn't gonna be another Kadabra/Alakazam repeat. He quickly returned all his Pokémon to their respective pokeballs. This was to ensure their well-being for the time. He walked up nervously up the staircases as quickly as possible not wanting to keep the person waiting any longer then was needed.

As soon as he walked up the staircase, he started looking for where the voice had come from. 'Well this is it. I just hope its nothing but luncheon.' he thought as he continued to look for the owners voice.

You spotted a double door at the end of the hall, gold but faded letters above the door read "Dining Room" so that was probally the dining room. As you opened the door, you found it was the dining room and a lovely one at that. The table was laden with three main foodstuffs: at one end was a lovely salad, at the other was a jelly and custard fountain of some kind and in the center was a beautiful roast topped will vegetables and other trimmings. Everything looked absolutley delicious and smelled sublime, tatalising the senses and making your mouth water at the thought. A woman in a deep blue dress stood at one end of the table, she was smilling widely, her hair was a deep red and curled, she wore a gold chain around her neck to which was attached a gold pendant encrusted with diamonds and saphires. Her feet were not visible but she stood as if she wore high heels, either that or she was standing on her toes. "Welcome to my home young man, I am Lady Grace" she curtsied "Please do take a seat so that we may begin our luncheon."

You took a seat near the jelly and custard fountain and looked arounf the table, three others were seated with you, two female and one male water had been given to them and soon you were given your own glass. Grace was still standing, "Welcome again to all of you, I hold this lunceon simply by means of getting to know the hopeful new youngsters of tomorrow. First things first are names, as you know I am Lady Grace and this here is my son Maximus, but he prefers Max." Max gave a wave to everyone, he was about your age with short black hair sleeked down with gel, he was in a blue tuxedo that matched Grace's, Grace then spoke up again "Young lady, what is your name?" she asked a young blode across the table from you. The girl cleared her thought, she was younger than you, or at least appeared that way, "My name is Kylie, I come from Kanto, my father sent me here to study the Tohean cultures" she explained.

Grace applauded, "Wonderful, next is you young lady," was the response she made. The girl at the end of the table was far from young, and looked to be asleep, but she was hugging an Ekans to her chest. She looked up through her brown hair, "I am Liana, from Sinnoh, I have come to seek out those who abuse Pokémon and make them pay for their crimes" she said with a voice that had poisons attitude, the Ekans hissed at this remark. Grace once again applauded, she then turned to you, but before you could speak, she looked at you with a glare. "And you, I have heard alot about you from my souces, I have alot of power in the seedy underbelly of this town and something you did to one of my collegues distresses me" she said coldly.

The air seemed to cool, but within seconds Grace lifted her mood to the roof, "Well no use worrying yourself on issues in the past, please, help yourselves to the meal" she said warmly. But you couldn't shake the feeling that something siniser was looming on the horizon.

Blaze growled as she started accusing him of being a bad guy. He wasn't really that hungry, so he just picked a few things that didn't look suspious. He wasn't to pleased about being dragged in here and then being accused of something. But if she was as powerful as she implied she was, then he couldn't just leave right then and there. That and he had to becareful of his words, one wrong word and he could be running from the area.

"You may know me, good lady Grace. But the others may not know me as readily. My name is Blaze Van Tealean, I'm in training to become Tohea's greatest psychic Pokémon master." He said with a small grin.

"As for your collegue, I must apologize for my actions." He said as sympathically as he could. "I must say, that the food you have provided is extremely good." He said munching on the vegatables.

'Thats right Blaze... but apologies don't work every time. I just hope they work this time.' He thought as he looked for any positive reaction to the apology. He waited calmly for everyone to finish up. He didn't want to show himself as an impatient person, even though he wanted to get to route 1.

Personally, some people would've just gotten up and left right then at this lady's half-warning, but I wouldn't want to be accused of rudeness and whatever stuff she'd cook up in response. It was probably rather wise of you to sit out through the meal and pretend that you were enjoying the festivities. Your other trainer companions seemed to enjoy the meal just fine, although once in a while one would shoot a curious glance in your direction. More than likely they were wondering what you had done to upset Lady Grace.

By and by, the meal ended, and all of you were taken into a lovely sitting room so you could converse. This room was perhaps more extravagant than the dining room, as the floor was covered in plushy white carpet; the white walls and ceiling were gilded with golden wallpaper, and various white, puffy chairs and couches were arranged around the room. Oddly enough, the room smelled of flowery perfume, but it wasn't at all unpleasant.

You didn't really have too much to say, and neither did any of your companions; Lady Grace did most of the talking. To cut a long story short, she explained that she was proud of all of you to undertake Pokémon training to improve the various aspects of yourselves, and she then went on to explain stories from her own youth. (most of these were rather boring and reeked of rich influences) All of you were trying to appear politely interested, but you could tell that most of the people in the room were rather bored.

Finally, Lady Grace announced that all of you had rooms made up for you, and that should you choose to, you could spend the night in comfort and luxury. You also had permission to use the mansion's facilities during the rest of the day, which included an altering battle arena in the basement, a movie room, an outdoor pool complete with a water slide in the backyard, and a game room full of video games that belonged to her son Max.

So...With all of that forbidding and boring stuff aside, what were you going to do first? Of course, you could choose to leave, but you don't want to offend anyone.

Blaze simply sighed as the woman took them into another area and began chatting. He ignored the other people looking at him strangely. After she was done with her long talks and stories, he walked down to the pool area. He let his Pokémon out of their respective pokeballs. He fed them pokefood in dishes that he carried along with him. After a few minutes of watching them eat, he walked around looking at the pool area.

He made sure that he kept an eye on his Pokémon, to make sure that they didn't fall into the pool and panic. Luckily they just followed him, they all looked slightly concerned about the current situation that they were in. "I know your concerned about this, but theres not much we can do right now. We could respectively walk out, and continue our trip to Hurst. But that would offend our lady host, and thats something I'd like to avoid right now. I don't want a repeat of yesterdays adventure." he said to his Pokémon, while shuddering at the thought of that thief.

He sat down at one of the pool chairs and started to relax. He watched as 4 of his Pokémon played a flying version of tag, and bagon and ralts just talked while sitting down. He kept a close eye on them not wanting them to get hurt, or worse pokenapped. 'I wonder what she wants with us?' he thought as he continued to watch the Pokémon play.

You weren't really aware of how long you sat by the pool, but you were feeling pretty relaxed so you didn't really care. Bagon and Ralts just kept talking about whatever, and the rest of your Pokémon were flitting around in the air above your head. So unobservant and relaxed were you, that you hadn't noticed that someone had plopped down into the chair next to you. A slight clearing of the throat made you break out of your stupor, and you turned to see who was half-interrupting you.

"Pardon the interruption," Max said, smiling at you genially. You noticed that he had a young sleeping Growlithe in his lap. "But what is your purpose to be in Tohea? Mummy didn't really get anything from you...although I think you must've displeased her somehow." He said this last sentence with a shudder, and you could tell that he didn't approve with any dealings that his mother had with the underground world. More than likely, Lady Grace had no clue that her son knew about the other side of the coin. Perhaps he was a friend, then....

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't introduce you to Champ," he said, giggling as the little Growlithe puppy stirred and licked your chin. You had no clue where the other two trainers had went, but the girl with the Ekans from earlier was swimming at the other end of the pool with her glorious little snake. Obviously she didn't want anything to do with you, although she was probably introverted to begin with. The other two were probably in the house somewhere.

So...Feel comfortable talking to Sir Rich-a-lot?

Blaze wasn't to surprised to see Max sitting down next to him. He also wasn't to surprised to see the one trainer staying away from him. He thought the growlithe was cute though sleeping on its trainers lap.

"All I wanted to do was to come to Tohea city, I lived in a small off the map town. My grandparents own a farm, I worked there until a while ago. All I wanted to do was to become a psychic Pokémon trainer. Hopefully someday I can become a psychic Pokémon master. That was my reason for coming to Tohea, was to get started on my journey." He said while making sure his Pokémon were okay.

"As for the reason your mom is displeased with me... It probably has to do with what happened yesterday. I got caught up in a big mess with a master thief. He pretty much had a high level Kadabra teleport me and him to his lair. In which he wanted to battle, and yes he beat both my Pokémon. He could've harmed me afterwards, but the local gym master came and rescued me. The master thief escaped though to an unknown location." He said as he shuddered at the thought of that thief.

He looked at Max's growlithe named Champ, the growlithe licked his chin. He grinned at that little bit of affection. He petted the growlithe, as he summoned his Pokémon to introduce them. "This is Soulster... Dracos... Rocky... Cuddles... Salam... and Slyster." He said pointing to each of the Pokémon in order. All his Pokémon nodded and replied in same.

Afterwards all his Pokémon curled up and started taking a small nap while he visited with Max.

Blaze never felt more nervous in his live... sure he felt comfortable around Max, but he didn't know what to do right now. "Your growlithe is extremely well behaved. Did you train him yourself?" He asked curiously. He wanted to learn about Max and hopefully become friends with him. He liked him, mainly because he had a soft aura around him that made him seem more gentle then his mom.

Max gently patted Champ's fuzzy head, responding, "Mostly. But he's also been to a great obedience school not far from here." The Growlithe growled playfully, dashing a short distance away from Max, trying to get Blaze to follow. Max giggled once more, glad that his Growlithe had made a new friend. Unfortunately, Blaze wasn't comfortable enough around the other Pokémon to follow. "Aw...Looks like Blaze is a little shy." Max said in a mocking voice, suddenly seeming quite obnoxious.

"That sounds terrible, mind telling me how you got mixed up in all that?" He asked, cocking his head and staring at you intently. Meanwhile, Champ tried to befriend Max and the others, yapping happily to them. Well, anyway, decision time. Are you going to tell him everything that happened, including how you got all mixed up with the Thief. Or, are you going to try to change the subject? Think carefully now, you don't want to be forcefully thrown off of the premises.

Blaze kinda of grinned when the growlithe had darted off trying to get him to follow it. He figured he'd follow a little later once his Pokémon had rested up. The kid was a little obnoxious, but Blaze forgave him. Mainly because he came from a well off family, and Blaze was a farmers boy who had parents in 2 different parts of the region.

"It was pretty much one of those in the wrong place at the wrong time deals. Was trying to catch a Ralts, only to find out it was owned by a officer of the law. Who happened to be looking for a thief in the area, we went to a tavern where my cousin works. And then the thief found me, and well the rest is history." He said giving the short version of the tale. He made sure to leave out parts of the tale that he didn't want to be known.

He returned his Pokémon to their pokeballs, and stood up slowly. "Well lets see, where Champ wanted us to go." He said with a grin. "He seemed to want us to follow him somewhere." He said starting to walk in the direction that the growlithe had darted to, just a little bit ago. He waited for Max to come along with growlithe. He didn't really want to get into trouble getting into something that he shouldn't be in. But he hoped that with Max along he'd have some protection from being removed from the area.

Max got up and followed you, as did your Pokémon. The latter possibly felt like that they should flank you as they more than likely also picked up on a hint of foreboding from Lady Grace. Champ kept barking in your direction excitedly, waggling his tail as he did so. Once all of you got close to him, the little fire dog went tearing off into the mansion. All of you had to run/float in order to keep up, and a couple of times you lost sight of the little Growlithe completely as he scampered through the halls of the mansion.

In all of this pandemonium, you seemed to be upsetting some activities in the house. You tore by servants and cooks preparing dinner in the kitchen, a couple of maids making beds and doing laundry, and so forth. Champ didn't really seem to pay much heed to them, and that's probably how most of the higher class behaved unless the servant(s) was needed. Then again you were stereotyping by assuming this sort of stuff, so let's stay on-task here.

Finally, you emerged into a very large playroom full of what could only be described as doggy toys. You could fully see Champ's objective now as he trotted up to you with a blue toy bone; he wanted you, Max, and your Pokémon to play with him. Giggling at the puppy's foolishness, daring, and so on, Max immediately pitched the bone towards the other side of the room, and the puppy ran barking after it. Within moments the bone was placed at your feet, and the little dog was looking at you with begging eyes.

So, going to accept this little play date? Max and Champ seemed pretty nice, and you had a place with air conditioning in which to play and relax. You didn't know if this place was within Lady Grace's limits, but you were with her son so who cares? You could pretty much just kick back and enjoy yourself by playing a game of fetch.

(OOC: I thought I had returned my Pokémon to their pokeballs. It would be strange to have them out and about, when they were returned. but yeah whatever.)

Blaze sighed as his pokeballs didn't return the Pokémon to their respective pokeballs. "First time thats happened... I'll probably have to have them checked out." He said as he put his pokeballs away in his backpack. He started following the Growlithe along with Max.

He sighed as both Max and growlithe just walked on passed the servants and other people working in the Mansion. He quickly apologized for the interruptions, and followed along with them. He didn't really care where they were going, mainly because as long as Max was with him, he couldn't be yelled at.

He walked into a room where the Growlithe had entered and watched the playful pup, get a ball out. He watched Max throw the ball and growlith chased it and brought it to him.

He took it and throw it, aiming it away from things that could fall and break. He didn't want to damage anything. He didn't have the money to replace anything in the mansion. He waited to see what the playful pup would do... he didn't mind playing fetch, as long as there was air conditioning. His Pokémon didn't seem to mind either.

(Sorry. *smacks self* I've been kind of out of it recently)

With his tail wagging madly, Champ ran full-out after the ball that you had thrown and with one swift jump caught it in midair. Barking in delight, the puppy returned it to Max this time around and was rewarded with another throw. Likewise your Pokémon started playing with various toys and contraptions throughout the room; they were definitely getting a thrill out of this experience. Before long everyone was romping around in the pandemonium, and you were having so much fun. This wasn't so bad after all....At least until a loud clearing of the throat made the action come to a halt.

Lady Grace was standing in the doorway, her mouth set into a thin line. "Now Maxie, what is this?" she said softly, as all of your Pokémon moved near you. "Both you and Champ know better than to play with strangers off of the street. Especially those that can't be...*cough*...trusted." You could almost see Max melt under his mother's stare, and you knew at once that his blooming friendship with you was forbidden in his mother's eyes. Wherever dearest Maximus got his disposition, it definitely wasn't from his mother. Then again, you had never seen his father...but that's another story altogether.

A dreadful silence persisted for a few seconds (it seemed like minutes to you) before Lady Grace suddenly broke into a forced smile. "Of course, all strangers receive some form of hospitality regardless. That's how everything works you know. You" here she turned to face you more than anyone "have been requested personally to battle that dear girl with the Ekans. Apparently you've caught her eye, and it would be rather ungentlemanly to refuse a lady." She did have a point there....but I don't know if you want to go and face the snake queen. After all, it was fast approaching evening, and a night battle might not be to your best advantage.

By the way Grace was staring daggers at you, this was pretty much a one-way decision. If there was any time to prove to her that you were at least halfway decent, now was probably the time. Besides, a little battling never hurt anyone...unless you were competing against a legendary. Luckily for you such things couldn't happen here. Max looked equally confused as you were, and Champ just sat there with a sad look in his eyes. Obviously they were having mixed feelings about you and your disposition, disobeying mommy, and so on.

Screw these senseless thoughts, just go back outside to the arena.

Blaze was having fun playing catch with Champ, that was until Max's mother interrupted the playing. He held back a growl, when she referred to him as a stranger from the street. He didn't like being referred to in such a manner, it wasn't like he was some poor homeless person. He came from a decent household, sure his family wasn't wealthy or anything. But they at least had a decent amount of income. He did grin at the fact that the girl had decided to challange him to a battle.

"Of course, I'll accept her challange. It would go against the trainers code to refuse such a request." He said standing up with a type of gentlemenly pride. He looked around as his Pokémon gathered around him, he saw Champ looking a little sad.

"Don't worry Champ, it'll be okay." He said as he walked over to Max's mother.

"Point the way to the arena and I'll be on my way." He said in a humble tone. He didn't want to offend anyone at the moment. This could be his chance to get on everyones good side for once.

Lady Grace let out a small derisive snort before clapping her hands. Instantly one of the butlers entered the room with a small bow. "Point you in the right direction?" she said with a fake, chiming laugh, almost to the point of being annoying. "Why, a proper lady doesn't simply point! Smithers, why don't you lead this young man out to the arena?" The addressed man bowed once again and, silently, beckoned for you to follow him. Right, this guy was too house trained for your taste.

Admittedly, you were glad to leave that room that used to be rather happy. No doubt that Max was somehow receiving an earful as you followed the pompous butler. Entering onto the grounds, you could see that dusk was starting to fall. Even in the distance you could hear the night sounds of nocturnal Pokémon starting to set in. And there was the arena, a grassy field that was set up like a miniature stadium; there were even bleachers situated around the place. An official ref was actually standing there, as was your poisonous opponent on one side of the field.

"There you are. You shouldn't keep a lady waiting," Liana smirked, showing canines that weren't unlike fangs. Around her neck, the Ekans coiled and hissed a little. "Don't worry, my darling little Fang here won't be your opponent. He's way too delicate for that. I want you to play with Skein instead." Hurling a Pokeball open, the creature inside was revealed to be another reptile of slippery status.

:seviper :female Lv. 6

"You have first move," she said, her eyes glinting almost unnaturally in the darkening twilight. This almost screams evil....Or maybe it's just this lovely diva's personality. Either way, this new snake is, if anything, even worse than the Ekans. Go figure.

Blaze sighed he wasn't use to this type of treatment. He wasn't extremely wealthy like this family. But he shrugged and followed the butler, who led to him to the arena. He felt bad for Max, because he was probably being scolded heavily by his mother.

"Yeah sorry about that, it took awhile to get here. Nice looking Ekans there. I'll be happy to play with any Pokémon you wish." He said as he watched another snake pop out of the pokeball. He got his Poketech out and got the required information on the snake.

"Seviper the Fang Snake Pokémon. For many generations, it has feuded with Zangoose. It whets its bladed tail on rocks for battle." The poketech stated.

"I go first? Okay then, Rocky go" He said as he pointed to an area of the arena. The Solrock moved to where he pointed which was about 7 feet away infront of the Seviper.

"Lets start this show with a bang! Rocky use Agility and move around the arena. Don't let the Seviper get a lock on you. Use Confusion on the Seviper, when you get the chance." He said as he watched the Solrock getting ready to carry out the orders. He watched the girl for her expressions.

"You may know your snakes, but I know psychic Pokémon. I grew up on a farm that raised several psychic Pokémon types. Not only that I know how to plan, so I know to keep several different Pokémon with me." He said, he knew he was bragging. He hated doing that, but in this case it probably would do some good. All he could do was wait for her and her little snake to counter attack.
