Tohea lay out before you, a grand city on a grand island. The buildings were clean, the beaches were clean, even the air smelled clean. It was a grand sight to see. The waves gently crashed against the beaches, brushing away the sand. Seaweed piled up as kids built sandcastles on the beach. A particularly large wave suddenly crashed into one girl's, making her face screw up. Immediately, she started bawling while a boy laughed at her misfortune. A couple of Wingulls sat on the railings on the dock, talking to themselves. They glanced at you briefly before continuing their conversation. It didn't seem that they thought of you as a threat really. "Hey, kid. You a trainer?" You turned to find another kid, just a little older than yourself. He stood beside a tough looking Wooper, studying you through his glasses. Shoving them back on his nose, he nodded to himself and smiled. "Want to fight?" Well, you had your first challenge. You could go along with it and wipe the docks with him. Or you could politely decline. Level 5

Blaze looked around the vast beach area, he hated the beach. There was always to much water, and there was hardly any Pokémon he liked in the area anyway. He walked around the beach for a bit, looking at all the people playing and having fun. He was acually hoping to find some psychic Pokémon around here, but he guessed that he'd only find water Pokémon. He heard someone challange him to a battle, he looked over to the kid. He didn't like the persons demeaner, he looked to cocky with how he looked through his glasses. He pulled his goggles over his eyes and nodded reaching for his pokeball. "Of course I'd love to battle you. Just don't cry when you lose. Come on out Soulster" Blaze yelled as he throw his pokeball up into the air. Soulster his starly Pokémon came out in a flash of color, and flew for a bit. Starly landed by his feet and looked at the other trainer with a tilt of his head. Blaze took a relaxed but smug posture with his hands behind his head. His blue vest was open around his black tee-shirt that had an abra on it. His scar over his left eye made his face look more evil then he was intending, but he didn't really care. "The place is rented! The music is engaged! Now my question is can you dance to the music of losing?" He said with a large smug grin. |

(I dont know how your Bagon is going to be sent to you on the beach. So Ill leave it until after this battle so you can pick it up and the Pokécenter or something...) The kids smile was soon rubbed off his face by you sly comments. Under his breathe he mumbled "Theres always one..." Nevertheless, the lifted his head and clenched his fists with an optimistic smile. Before you could order an attack, your mobile phone beeped three times. Looking at it you had a text message from your Dad reading. 'Hi son, I sent you a gift, its at the nearest Pokécenter, hope you like it. And i hope your enjoying your journey!' Aww, thats nice! Now back to the battle, and looks like that guy isn't waiting for you either. "Ok then, lets see if your Pokémon can catch up with my wooper." He said, still smiling. His Wooper jumped up and into place, directly across from your Starly. "Ok Wooper, run at it with Agility and then use water gun!" Wow, wierd combination... Wooper began charging at your Starly suprisingly quick for a Wooper, as it charged it shot a strong water gun towards your bird Pokémon. Starly instinctively got up the fly away from the attack. As it jumped into the air the water gun caught one of its wings, knocking it around in the air like a blind bird. Starly squaked slightly, but was safe from any real danger. Your turn, make it a good one. Lv.5 35/35 84%(Speed +2) Lv.5 32/35 98%

(I'll make sure he gets there after this fight.) Blaze smiled at that bold move set, it was his lucky day if that’s all that kid could do. There were better ways to skin a cat. Or in this case, roast a bird in a barbeque. He looked at his mobile phone, he grinned. If he won this fight he'd probably get a prize. If he did, then this gift from his dad would add icing to the cake. "Is that all your wooper could do. That barely scratched Soulster." He said hoping to at least sound over confident. He also didn't want to be too over confident. That would ruin his fun right now, and that wouldn't be fun. "Okay Soulster growl at as menacing as you can. Then tackle it head on with quick attack." Blaze ordered his starly. Blaze hoped that this battle would put this other trainer back down a notch or 2. He really didn't want to lose to a trainer that acted cocky. Soulster growled loudly, and as menacing as a Salamance's roar. After the growl, Soulster started to run at the wooper at full speed. Edited by Bahamutrant, Jul 5 2008, 01:08 PM.

Although saying that Soulster's growl was as menacing as a Salamence's Roar might be exaggerating a bit, it was true that the Growl was quite menacing and had managed to scare the Wooper a bit. Now you had the upper hand because Wooper did not feel as inclined to attack because Starly might get angry and attack! Soulster swooped herself off the ground and began flying at a fast pace towards Wooper, leaving a stream of white light behind him as he flew. The Starly flew directly into Wooper causing a great deal of damage and giving you the upper hand momentarily. However Wooper and his trainer had not decided their attack yet. "Okay Wooper, I want you to use a Water Gun, and don't bother dodging the next attack, that weak Starly ain't gonna do anything is he?" Boy he was getting more and more cocky by the minute wasn't he? The Wooper let out a fierce jet of water from his mouth that hit Starly directly in the face knocking him back a few feet. Starly now glared at Wooper whom still seemed frightened of the bird. Was he really angry at him now? What was he gonna do? Was he going to hurt him so badly he wouldn't be able to get back up? Wooper was now scared out of his wits now and this left the perfect opportunity for you and Soulster to attack the water fish Pokémon. Lv.5 27/35 87% Lv.5 28/35 72%(ATK -1) (SPD +2) |

Blaze looked at the other trainer and grinned. He was also sad because he scared the wooper with that growl. But that could be solved later on with some pokesnacks. His Starly seemed to have the upper hand, but he didn't know how long that would last. He debated using tackle as his main offensive move and quick attack his defensive move. After a few seconds he made his choice. "Hmmm good attack, now its my turn." He said with a grin. "Okay Soulster, I want you to tackle it hard. Then I want you to use quick attack to dodge its water gun. Do you best in dodging its water gun." He said adding in a defensive order. He didn't want his starly getting any more hurt then it acually was. He watch as Soulster readied to tackle wooper. Blaze looked around the area, staring at the people passing by. Everyone seemed to be either interested or to busy to care, as they walked on by. There seemed to be a small crowd of about 5 people standing around watching this battle from a distance. But that didn't bother Blaze, he returned his attention to the battle itself, and hoped that the tackle would do something. |

The opposing trainer gritted his teeth which was complimented with his eerie grimace, but he didn't respond to you. He, instead, shouted to his Wooper, "Water Gun again, now!" Soulster had just taken off before the trainer had yelled out his commands to his Pokémon, so Soulster didn't see it coming fast enough. The Wooper gaped it's jaws and then a stream of water surged out of it's mouth and collided with Soulster in mid-air before he could get a grip onto the ground. The water pressure made him flip backwards a bit with him struggling to get back up. The other trainer laughed at your failed attempt and was easily distracted when Soulster did get back up. The Wooper fired another round of Water Gun at Soulster which he was able to evade easily now that he anticipated the attack and just grazed the edge. The Wooper thought he had caught the starling within his Water Gun, but was spontaneously struck with a ram to the side by Soulster. The Wooper was flung this time over the sand and after it landed it got his head slightly stuck below the grainy surface. The trainer gasped and hurriedly used his arm muscles to pull out his friend. Soulster chirruped gleefully and hovered back to you and perched on your shoulder with a relieved sigh. You should be relieved too now that you just so happen to be in the lead. But there's still some time left for those two to think up of a plan that hasn't been executed, yet. But you can figure out the possibilities while they're still vulnerable. Blaze looked concerned that wooper got stuck. He looked and nodded to Soulster. He walked over and helped the other trainer get his wooper unstuck from the sand. He was smug but he wasn't cruel. As soon as wooper was out of the sand he brushed off wooper and feed it a few pokesnacks to help it feel better. After feeding the trainers wooper the pokesnacks, he gave some pokesnacks to his Starly. Starly ate them and chirped happily. "Don't worry your Wooper is fine. Aren't you wooper?" He asked, and Soulster chirped in agreement. He heard a few people clapping in the background. "Since your Wooper looks better, lets finish this battle." He said as Soulster flew down from his shoulder, and took a more relaxed stance. "Soulster. Tackle attack and use quick attack to dodge the woopers water gun." He ordered. "And Soulster don't turn your back to Wooper. That'll leave a spot open for him to attack." He said as he watched Soulster prepare for another round of attack. He heard the people watching, hold their breath. He knew what they knew; that this round would probably be the ending result of the battle. He looked up at the other trainer, he saw a small smile. 'I think we came to an understanding now.' he thought as he returned the smile. Edited by Bahamutrant, Jul 6 2008, 11:53 PM.

Whats this? A mid-battle snack? And not just for your Pokémon but for your oponents? Wierd... The kid looked at you blinking constantly, what were you up too? He ignored what you did and let you get on with it. Getting ready for an attack. Once you were done. You gave your orders, and he gave his. Your Starly began to hurdle towards the Wooper and tackled into the small water Pokémon hard. The Wooper hit the grond and then flipped up onto its feet, facing the other way where your Starly had flew. "Ok, Water gun Wooper!" The boy shouted, the water Pokémon shot out a strong stream of water straight towards your bird Pokémon. Agile and quick, Starly flew to the side of the water gun, and began to hurdle towards Wooper again, this time alot quicker. As it closed in it circled around the water gun and then plowed into the Wooper once more. Two direct hits had now taken the rest out of the Wooper and as it hit the ground, it gave out a big mouth full of air and stopped with @_@ eyes. You had won, congratulations! Blaze gave a big cheer, he also saw other people giving a cheer. He saw Soulster flying excitedly around, he grinned and looked over to his opponent. He walked over to his opponent and extended his hand. "Good battle. I hope we can battle again someday." he said as the trainer shook his hand. "Okay, if you want we can both go to the Pokémon center together. Besides, I need to heal Soulster and pick up a gift from my dad." He said as he watched the other trainer return his wooper back to his pokeball. He walked to the Pokémon center from the beach. It was a rather nice walk, it was several blocks away from the beach. He eyed the tall buildings with distrust. He wasn't a city type of person. The other trainer that he beat was following him. He noticed a Pokémart at a block away from the Pokémon center and made a note to stop by there after his starly was healed. He walked into the Pokémon center, it was busy with a lot of injured Pokémon. He walked up to the counter with the other trainer. He handed over his starly and asked about his gift from his dad. He showed them his poketech id, and they handed him over a pokeball. He grinned wondering what type it was. He throw it up in the air and watched it open up. Out came a bagon, she yawned a little. She looked around an ran to Blaze saying "Ba ba gon." The female bagon gave Blaze a small hug and curled up to go to sleep. Blaze picked up The bagon and walked over to a chair and waited for his Pokémon to be healed. There was so much to do today. Exploring areas came to mind. He wanted to start training his Pokémon to become stronger. He also wanted to look for some of his favorite Pokémon, as well as psychic Pokémon. The other trainer sat across from him. "Is your wooper gonna be okay?" He asked as he looked over to the trainer. "My name is Blaze by the way. Whats your name?" He asked grinning softly. |

The other trainer nodded and held up his Pokeball, “yeah, Wooper will be fine.” He said and sat down on a chair. He ignored your second question and decided to take a nap. A few minutes later nurse joy returned and gave you your Pokeball. “There you go, all healed and ready to go,” she said and took the trainers Wooper. You stood up and headed out the building, intent on finding a good Pokémon. It was getting to be a bit later into the afternoon, and this meant many of the scavengers were coming out for their nightly forays. You start walking down the road, your eyes peeled for any signs of Pokémon. You continue walking, at first a little worried that maybe you won’t find anything, nut what’s this? A rustle in the alley catches your attention. You stop and peer down the alley, trying to see if you can find out which Pokémon is down there. Ah there, it came into view for a few seconds. You notice the Ralts picking at the trash; it’s obviously very hungry and looks horribly malnourished. Maybe you can fix that problem by giving it a good place to stay, like saaay...a Pokeball? Lv. 7

Blaze nodded and thanked the nurse. He sighed that the trainer the answer his question about his name. But that was just life. He walked around the town looking for other Pokémon to add to his team of 2. He heard a rustling noise coming from a trash can. He found what looked to be a Ralts picking at a trash cans contents. He felt sorry for it because it was malnorished. He checked it out on his poketech to see what information it had on it. 'Ralts The feeling Pokémon. It uses the horns on its head to sense human emotions. It is said to appear in front of cheerful people.' the poketech stated. Blaze looked up and reached for his container holding his pokesnacks. He also got a small plate to hold some of the pokesnacks. He put the pokesnacks on the plate and put the plate on the ground. He stood up and stood a few steps away. "Hey little guy are you hungry. Heres some food for you, and its all yours." He said to the ralts as he pointed to the food. "And theres more, where that came from." He said hoping that the ralts wouldn't run away. He wanted the ralts to eat up and join up with him of it's own free will. If the ralts wanted to fight then he would. He really hoped that the ralts would join up peacefully. It didn't look like it could put up much of a fight anyhow. He got out more plates and pokesnacks. He got Soulster and Dracos (bagon) from their pokeballs to have a snack while he tried getting ralts to join up with them. He smiled at their eating habits. Soulster pecked at his food while moving in a circle, and Dracos just slowly picked up one or two snacks at a time and slowly munched away at her food. "Soulster! Dracos! Keep an eye out for any other Pokémon besides Ralts there. I don't want any Pokémon getting any ideas, and ambushing us." he said. He looked over at the ralts, the ralts looked slightly scared. But it looked like the ralts was more interested in the food then anything else. He quickly and quietly got a pokeball ready just in case it wanted to join. He sat down, and started munching on a sandwich. He continued to watch the ralts and to see what it would do. Edited by Bahamutrant, Jul 9 2008, 01:15 PM.

Even with an attempt to give the little Ralts some food, you didn't seem to draws its attention. Continuing on digging through the garbage, it seemed as if the feeling Pokémon wasn't searching for food, but rather for something else that could possibly be buried within the trash. Ralts did look skinny, but not exactly malnourished. Being this close to it, you could actually tell it was just skinny rather than underfed. Disrupting your attempt to befriend the ralts, a rather ominous figure appeared out of no where. He was clearly a male, perhaps in his late twenties, early thirties at the most. He had sort of a strange alignment of facial hair. Sideburns down his cheeks, and a rather goofy-looking goatee sprouted from his chin, and curled up at the end. The man's eyes were blocked in silvery sunglasses, even if it wasn't that sunny out. The man's mouth perked to a smile as ralts turned to him. "Anything fruitful?" He curiously asked the Pokémon who was previously digging through the trash. The ralts shook its head, signifying "no." The man's smile faded into an awkward frown. "Well, you tried." At this point, he seemed to be ultimately ignoring you, but did turn to face you after talking with the ratls. "There's no way a ralts of his standards would eat canned pokéfood. Usually I give him imported fish, organic vegetables, and hefty servings of chocolaty-rich pudding." The rather strange man bent down in front of Starly, picking a pellet of food from his dish. The man tossed the chunk of food into his mouth, chewing it to nothing. "Store bought, I can tell. There's hardly any nutrients or anything in this." The man tilted his head toward Ralts, who just shrugged at him. "Well, if it's what they were raised off of then clearly it's what they're going to be use to. I'd say this little ralts is spoiled with human food." Ralts crossed his arms, turning his head to the side. Clearly he was ignoring the man's statement. "Pardon my rudeness, I forgot to introduce us!" The ralts ran to the side of the man, standing tall to make his presence known. "This is Miru-chan, and I am Star." Sun's mouth turned to a rather strange smile. There was defiantly something creepy about this guy. "We're the Tohea Crime Investigation Corps." Ralts nodded with much confidence to his title. |

Blaze sighed that the ralts completely ignored his food he offered. He saw a guy walk over and started talking to him about stuff. He reached and tried on of the pokesnacks he gave his Pokémon. He almost growled as the guy criticized the food he was allowing his Pokémon to snack on. He didn't liked the looks of the guy, there was something rather odd about him. Blaze stood up and grinned as his Pokémon finished their snacks. He cleaned up the food and plates, as his Starly flew up and landed on his shoulder. His Bagon ran and stood by his legs, and looked at the ralts with a confused look. His Starly started to chirp with concern about the strange man. "The names Blaze Van Tealean, I'm in training to become a psychic Pokémon trainer. Even though it doesn't look like it now, I want to become a psychic Pokémon master." He said with a confidence, his Pokémon nodded with the same confidence. "Might I ask, what you are looking for?" He asked, his curiosity getting the best of him. He was disappointed that he wouldn't be catching a ralts right now. "I maybe able to help out, if its not to much trouble." he said, knowing that this could cause problems. Right now he really didn't care if it caused problems or not. He had a chance to catch a ralts, but it turned out it was a owned Pokémon. He didn't want to battle considering that the guy could have stronger Pokémon stored away someplace. Running away wasn't a viable option, and it would make it seem like he did something wrong. His options were at the moment were to walk away calmly and look for a different ralts, or help the guy out. And currently he was to curiosity right now was making it nearly impossible for him to just walk away from this. Still the guy was creeping him out. He pulled down his goggles and put on his red and yellow hat. He just stared at the other person until he got the answers for the questions he asked. |

"ANSWERS, ANSWERS?" No wonder the Ralts seemed to be the one in charge. This dude seemed crazy. "Ah, if you are looking assist Miru-chan and I in an investigation you may feel free. Currently we are looking for clues that might lead us to a suspected thief who has been stealing from several of Tohea's leading citizens. Including the gym which means that this guy is no ameature. I can't promise you a reward because.. well lets face it, you probably have more money than me. But anyway, lets head over to the gym now.. follow me" Preseumptiously the Ralts walked in front of the man and led the way to the gym. Maybe you'd get to meet the gym leader in this town. He practically ran the city with his tough Pokémon. Rumor had it that he even had a Jolteon. Actually.. it didn't look like you were going to have to go in anyway. There was a loud crash from somewhere around the gym. Ralt's with its' hyper-emotional senses was able to sense fear and then panic. All of a sudden you could hear foot-falls leaving the back alley of the gym. There were several things that you could do at this instance. Send Starly into the sky and keep track of the man and then chase him down in a foot-race. Or you could let the guy escape. He didn't seem like the brightest fellow ever, so he obviously wasen't the thief. But this guy might be able to lead you to the real one. Granted you'd have to catch him first. |
