Cuburt got up and walked over to the strange trainer. He extended his hand to help him up. "Nice battle. Your Bellsprout is strong. Knows some nice moves too!" Cherry was passed out on the floor looking peaceful but at the same time uncomfortable. Cuburt reached in his pocket with his other hand and grabbed out Cherry's pokeball. "Return Cherry! Take the rest you deserve." Cherry went straight back into her pokeball without saying a word, which would be weird if since she is unconscious and all. Cuburt, happy that Cherry did so well, smiled at the trainer. Apparently he forgot all about the fact that the trainer had shot at him and his Pokémon for no reason that Cuburt knew of. All Cuburt was thinking about now was teaching his Pokémon some more moves. He had heard of a trainer on on the islands that was trying to become a move-tutor. Maybe he could meet up with him or something. What was his name... Ummmm... Oh yeah Manuel Okami, right? Anyway, Cuburt thought, I've always wanted to go to the Forbidden City. It's north of Wayford I think. Cuburt, hand still held out, shook all his thoughts and went back to the current question, who is this guy on the ground? (OOC: Hope you don't mind I put a cameo mention of your character Shadow, just for fun :P ) |

In most cases offering a helping hand to your would-be assassin would be a bad idea, but lucky for you this was not like most cases and the trainer gladly accept your help. Or so you thought. After taking a firm grip of your hand he swiftly jerked his back which in effect brought you down to your knees and eye level with the laughing maniac. “Your Cherubi was not so bad either kid”, he chuckled after picking himself up and returning his Bellsprout. So let me see here, he first ordered his Bellsprout to attack your Cherry for no good reason then when you tried to help him up he had the nerve to drag you down. It was by now painfully clear that this guy had a few screws loose. The only question that remained unanswered was who exactly was this guy? “I bet you are wondering who I am right about now, either that or why I attacked your Cherubi”, the trainer said as if he had read your mind. “Well first things first, my name just so happens to be Sean Crawford and the reason behind the attack is…well. I was bored. Not a very good excuse I suppose but it’s the honest to goodness truth”, he replied leaving you dumbfounded. Yes we all do stupid things when we are bored, most of those things we will regret soon afterwards. But attacking your Cherubi, isn’t that a bit uncalled for? But then again I guess battling is no different from watching T.V to pass the time on a rainy day. Speaking of rain, some began to fall from the once clear sky. Within minutes your cloths were soaked and thunder as loud as a airplane taking off could be heard from overhead. It looked like if you didn’t find shelter soon you would more than likely come down with a case of the flu. Help, this time, came in the most unlikeliest of forms. “You look like you could use a place to stay until the rain stops, and it just so happens that my house is not but a block or two away. And I could heal up your Pokémon while were there if you like”, Sean said as if you following him was the logical thing to do. The choice was yours. Follow the maniac to a place of shelter, or go about your own way. Which ever you choose, make sure you get out of the rain. For if it kept up like this there would be a flood in no time. |

Cuburt stood there in the rain for a few seconds, thinking over what just happened. This guy was more crazy then he thought. Cuburt could easily go to the Pokémon center. Sure he would catch a few sniffles, but being sick is better then being dead in the house of some psycho. Cuburt, passing all common judgment and ignoring all the eerie signs like the sudden rain, agreed to follow the crazy, green-hatted guy. Hoping that the man wouldn't get bored again. Cuburt followed the man to his house, trying not to die from the freezing rain. Ok it wasn't that dramatic, but still. Cuburt turned around for a second when he heard a buzzing sound. "What is that? Oh yeah..." Cuburt's yanma was flying right behind him. "Return!" Yanma gladly went into his pokeball shivering all the way. "Sorry Yanma." Cuburt whipped back around and caught up to the green hat guy on the way to his mysterious house in the woods. Spooky? Maybe. Deadly? Maybe. Passing time? You betcha. |

Whistling some odd tune, Sean led the way to his house, occasionally looking back to make sure you were following. The rain pelted your skin, and your clothes were not only soaked now, but actually completely drenched. It wasn't too much longer before you two made it to his house, although it did feel like a long time. Maybe your clothes were slowing you two down, but no matter what the case was, you looked up to see a large house. It was two stories high, and it looked like the kind of house that would have haunted stories to it. Looking at you, Sean grinned and opened up the door to the hulking home and quickly got you inside. "It sure is cold out there now, isn't it?" he asked with a chuckle. "Come, I'll get you to the guest room right away. There are plenty of clothes there that I'm sure will fit you." Without explaining why the clothes were there in the first place, he once again led the way up the stairs. Once on the second landing, you were led down the hallway to another hallway, which you were led down as well. At the end of that one, he opened a door which must have been to the guest room, and you looked inside. The room was in a condition worthy of many gasps from any true architectural master, and everything inside shined. Light came from only one source, and that was a chandelier above the bed, which had a lot of crystal. Or it appeared to be crystal anyways, and it was beautiful, and the floors were made to give off a shine that would make most envious. Clearly made from Cherry Oak, the floors were a bright mahogany, as were the dresser and bedside table. "You can stay in here for the night if you'd like," Sean said. "It's getting dark out already, and there's no reason for you to go back out there anyways. With it raining like that, you'd end up catching pneumonia." He was right of course. It was already almost seven in the evening, which of course made sense with the darkening of the skies and all. Sean also appeared to be calm now and not so crazy. Plus, with the condition of this house, it was clear that he must have been a rich man, and you can't help but wonder what kind of food he has. I'm sure that it'd be very good tough. |

"Wow this house is awesome! It is as awesome as the house I went into last, actually it was a mansion, how did you get this gorgeous house?" Cuburt was lucky, too rich people in on week? Cuburt was thinking already of a way to get money from the green hat guy. Cuburt, without thinking of a logical explanation, changed out of his drenched clothes into the clothes of little boys that were there before him some how. The clothes fit just right, it was weird indeed. After changing, Cuburt went down the stairs, marveling at the house before him. It was sure a sight to pay to see. He began searching for the man everywhere in the house. He had many questions like: Why are you so rich? Why did you attack me? Why do you have kid clothes in your house when you don't have any kids that Cuburt knew of? And why a green hat? |

When you turned around to ask your questions, you saw that Sean had already left, and so you undressed out of your wet clothes. Odd enough, he did have clothes that fit you perfectly, which probably wasn't right if you really thought about it. However, you probably didn't really want to think about the possibility of being in the house of a sex offender. And now that I say that, you're probably wishing that you could go back and say that you ran out of his house into the pouring rain to get help. But unfortunately for you, you're at my mercy and can't very well do that, so you better hope that I'm nice. Though if you knew how I reffed most other people, you would know that I actually am nice, at least for the most part. Getting into the dry clothes, you felt a lot warmer, and started to walk downstairs, looking around the house. It was absolutely gorgeous, and if you want to know a price, just know that unless you're an A-lister, you wouldn't have this house in real life. Eventually you did find Sean in the kitchen, where he was preparing dinner, though he blocked it so you couldn't see what he was making. Smiling, he heard your questions and began to answer them for you, doing his best to bring up all that you wanted to know. "My money comes from my wife who died with my son three years ago, and he was your age when the car accident happened." You saw grief in his eyes, but he was holding himself well together, not flinching, or letting his voice crack. "As for attacking you, I'm afraid that I couldn't help myself, though I'd rather not go into details about that. But your last question is very odd, and I can't help but wonder why it is that you ask that, although if you must know, it's because grass is my favorite Pokémon type." He smiled again before motioning for you to sit down. "Dinner is almost ready." |

Without thinking pretty much about anything, Cuburt took a seat. A free meal!? Score! As he sat at the table thinking about his tie with the trainer, and how well his Pokémon learned a new move, he couldn't help but feel for the man and his lost family. As grief overwhelmed him he got up from the table in the lavish dining room and returned to the kitchen. "I'm sorry about your family..." Cuburt stated as he walked into the kitchen. Cuburt was fighting tears, for he had lost someone too. "Thanks for the clothes, and making me dinner also." Cuburt had his head facing down the whole time, as to not let the man see his tears. Even if it was only two drops. He wiped his eyes and looked back up towards the man in a green hat. Deep down Cuburt was scared that this guy was a psycho still. Maybe he was a serial killer, who knows. All Cuburt knew at the moment, though, was that this guy hadn't wronged him in a big way. He definitely made up for by giving Cuburt this stuff. Free food and clothes, and a roof for now. He was on Cuburt's good side.... for now. Edited by Cuburt007, Jan 18 2009, 03:53 PM.

As you walked into the kitchen, you saw Sean put something away up in the cupboards, mixing something into whatever he was currently fixing. When you saw that it was mashed potatoes, you figured that it was probably some kind of seasoning, and in fact you saw some green flakes in there. He had probably just put parsley in it or something like that, and maybe some garlic too! I don't know about you, but personally I just love me some good ole mashed potatoes with garlic in them. But that's not all you're getting that's good you lucky son of a monkey, finding this really nice guy. You heard something sizzle in a frying pan, and when you looked, you saw that he was putting in a nice, big, juicy steak. How is it that you get some nice yummy steak dinner and all I got was... well actually tonight at work I had some pork that was so good. And in my journey I just got a really nice salad and an amazing piece of fish that I would never trade for anything else. Still, I hope you know that you're incredibly lucky to find this guy who is giving you somewhere to sleep, clothes to wear, and a damned good meal to eat. When you entered the kitchen and began to talk, you saw Sean jump a bit and he turned, panic on his face. Now that's a bit odd, don't you think, although he did try to keep you out of the kitchen, so you might have just scared him. But why would a guy like him be scared when you were the only other person in this house, unless you're not. Well that's a new idea, isn't it, someone else being in this house with you two, although wouldn't that be news to him too? He definitely didn't lead on that there was someone else in the house, and he did act scared in a shocked way when you went in. Seeing that it was you, he calmed down though, and you saw the lump in his throat go up and down as he swallowed. "Hey, no problem. But I thought you were going to stay in that dining room. You scared me half to death boy." Sean gave a nervous chuckle before turning back to the food, not caring that you were standing around anymore. "Well since you see what I'm making you, I guess it can't hurt to let you stay and watch. But you'll never know my secret ingredient in the mashed potatoes!" Grinning, he started stirring them up again. He turned the steaks and you heard more sizzling, and within another three minutes he put the steaks on separate plates and dished out some mashed potatoes on each. "Alright, let's get to eating this good meal, shall we?" Smiling, he led you back into the dining room and set both of your plates down and made sure you sat back down. Then he walked back into the kitchen and got out two glasses before going to the fridge and getting some milk out. He poured it out into the two glasses and put the gallon away before coming back and giving you your glass of mile. You couldn't help but smell the steak, and you could tell that it had been marinated in something, meaning that he loved his steak if he planned on eating two by himself. Or he could have just been planning on eating one tonight and one tomorrow night, not realizing that he'd have a guest. Either way, he did look like the kind of guy who would have been able to eat both of them without a problem. Reaching for his fork and knife, he nodded towards you and sliced a piece of steak off and put it in his mouth. It definitely looked good, and his eyes lit up. Bon apetite! |

Cuburt was getting very suspicious. All the accusations were building in his head. Was this guy a psychopath or just some eccentric rich person who is dying from loneliness. What ever the cause, Cuburt needed an answer. He got up from his chair sliding it back slowly. "Umm... Can I use the bathroom?" Without even touching his food, he walked away down the hall. "I'll just be a second." He called back toward the dining room. Cuburt was really getting the creeps right about now. As he walked down the hallway to the bathroom, he turned down a small passage into the kitchen. He could still hear the rain pouring on the rooftop. I have to see what he put in the food, Cuburt thought, it might be some type of extreme laxative. Cuburt looked behind himself cautiously, just to make sure no one was there. Slowly he grabbed the handles of the cupboard, pulling them open. He saw the vile that Sean had used, so he pulled it down and read the tag on it. |

Of course you must not read too closely, because there is no hall between the kitchen and the dining room. They are attached by nothing more than an arch type thing between the two, so of course Sean can see your every move. But he didn't seem to care what you were doing, as the bathroom is past the kitchen anyhow (you went through the kitchen to get to the dining room, remember?), and the dining room is the furthest room from the room you're staying in. Well luckily for you, you were quiet enough that Sean didn't hear you, and his back was turned to you, though you did hear him cutting his meat. You opened the cupboards and reached in to grab whatever it was that he had used on your food. Looking at the label, you can only feel a bit shocked, horrified, absolutely positively stunned by what you found. The "vial", or what I would call a shaker, had a red label all around it, which probably sent negative vibes to you, although you should be calmed once you read it. Clearly upon the label were the words "Jack's Spice Mix," obviously something quite akin to Mrs. Dash's stuff in our world. Well now don't you feel a little silly prying into his cupboards to find out what it was that he had put into the mashed potatoes? If I were Sean and I found this out, well I think I'd be quite offended, after offering you a place to stay and giving you a meal to eat. Perhaps you should think twice before you start snooping around, because you never know when that could offend a person. Sean still hadn't seen you, although something else in the house did, and when you saw it, it glared at you. I'm not sure if the Pokémon is Sean's or if it's also seeking comfort in this very house, in which case it'd be wild. But if it's a wild Pokémon, why that would be interesting, wouldn't it, since they're supposed to be harder to find. Maybe somebody is giving you a break after everything you've gone through, even if you were perhaps a little rude about it all. Then something very strange and bizarre happened, something that would make a normal person say twilight zone before heading for the opposite direction. It was pure white, and though you couldn't see anything beyond it, it did seem to give off a peaceful feeling. What I'm talking about is a portal, and it opened right next to you, and the Spinarak (that's the Pokémon you just saw) jumped right into it without another thought. Perhaps this is where all of the wild Pokémon were disappearing to, and you finally found the secret to all of the problems! Looking back, you could see that Sean was still eating, and there's no doubt that he wouldn't notice you were gone until minutes later. You'd probably find a way back before he could even see what had happened, but don't you think you should find out if all of the wild Pokémon were going here? Wouldn't it be amazing if you ended up being the hero? ((OOC: This is mine. Request me for the next ref please.)) |

Cuburt peered into the hole, then back at Sean. What the heck is going on? First Cuburt thought there was a hall, then now a strange portal? Enough of all this mystery, Cuburt was going to get down to business. He inched closer to the hole in the space/time continuum trying to figure out how it appeared and why Pokémon were attracted to it. I'm going in, Cuburt thought. Not a smart logical choice, but what the heck, he was bored. Oh wait! Cuburt backed away from the rift and went back to the kitchen. He tapped Sean on the shoulder. "Thanks for you hospitality. I was suspecting you of being weird, but you are just as normal as me... No offense. Anyway, to say thanks, come with me. I have to show you something. Hurry now, it might close!" Cuburt motioned Sean toward the kitchen. "Jump in with me." Cuburt took five steps back and jumped straight into the hole, head first. Adventure surely awaited. Maybe inviting Sean wasn't the best idea, but Cuburt felt bad about suspecting him of misdeeds. It will all turn out right, won't it? Sean might not even come, but Cuburt was polite enough to ask anyway. It's not like Cuburt would blame him anyway, Sean probably wasn't as reckless as he was. All in all, even if he did not come, Cuburt would bring him back some thing he found. Edited by Cuburt007, Jan 20 2009, 11:05 AM.

Sean looked at you in an odd way and looked at where you were and his eyes widened as he got up. Following you into the kitchen, you saw Sean shake his head and open his mouth to tell you something. But then you dove into the portal and heard a popping noise behind you, which probably meant that the portal had closed. You fell onto a surface and got up, wondering where the hell you did manage to get yourself. Looking around, you immediately shielded your eyes as all you saw was a blinding white light. Eventually you got used to it though and were able to actually seriously take a look, only to find that there was nothing. Well in reality, there was a couple of things that you saw, one being a sign, and the other being the Spinarak you saw back. However, the portal was nowhere to be seen, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of dread in the pit of your stomach. You got up to the sign first, wanting to know what it said, and once you read it, you wished that you could choke the one known as DarkSlayer1331. It reads: Welcome to The Nothingness where I have complete and total control of you from here on until you get out. As you can see there is basically nothing here... at least not now although I can easily make something appear. Frankly, I could create a hostage situation around you that would be oh so real, though that would hardly be fair. The reason why I'm doing this to you? Why that's a very good question, and one that I can answer for you very easily. I've tried so hard to give you very good refs and perhaps help you along to getting better posts. However, clearly I was wrong in this, though your last post did show improvement. So that's good for you. You will be able to leave this place once you have proven that your posting has changed so that refs can actually do something good off of them. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen to you here as long as you do this simple task. ~DarkSlayer1331 Why that little bastard put you here just because you usually only give out the bare minimum post that makes it hard for the refs to do their job? Now isn't that just a horrible, insanely cruel thing to do to you, and then threaten you with being able to do anything that they wanted here? Oh yeah, there's also a little thing you should know, which is that nobody but DarkSlayer1331 can ref you until you get out of here. There is a little bit of good news though, which you will now realize as you turned to see the Spinarak. Perhaps a little battle here could help you prove yourself to this entity that put you here and get yourself out of here quickly! What do you say? ![]() Level 9 43/43 100%Well that's actually a pretty nice level for you, nothing too hard. Maybe this DarkSlayer won't be too mean after all... |

Now I can see why you wanted to ref me >.> Cuburt had no idea what was happening. Who is Darkslayer? What is a Ref? What the heck is a post. Cuburt poked the sign, maybe this is a post. No. His stomach dropped to his knees, or so it felt. Why is this going on, and why was this Darkslayer person mocking him? He shrugged, well maybe it had something to do with the Tohean gods he had heard rumors about. Well since he was in the god-forsaken place, he might as well battle. One second, where is Sean? Cuburt turned around to check... no one. The portal had closed too, darn it. Cuburt was on his own as it seems. "Sigh all I didn't even get to eat..." Cuburt grabbed at his belt and pulled out a pokeball. "Well, let's just make this fast shall we? Go Apollo!" Apollo came out of his ball, usually there would be light right about now, but it was to bright to see any more light anyway. Apollo yawned and looked for the female ralts. Still unknown to Cuburt whether the Athena was Apollos mate or sibling. Or both? No, Pokémon don't role that way... Back to the matter at hand. Apollo felt his mojo psychicness inside his horn and was ready for action. "Ready Apollo?" Apollo looked at Cuburt as if to say, didn't I just say I was ready for action? "Oh my bad little buddy. Use confusion on the enemy Pokémon." Cuburt's Pokémon are good, but they need to learn more moves he thought. That is what he was about to do before Sean so rudely interrupted by viciously mauling his Pokémon with leaves. Maybe some day? Why not today? Cuburt lifted his head up high. It is time to learn a new move! Maybe in the middle of battle was a stupid time to do it, what the heck. "Apollo hold that confusion for a second." Apollo stopped cold in his tracks. What move should he learn? "Apollo come here." Apollo glided over to his trainer. Cuburt held out the pokedex on a page that had all of Ralts moves and egg moves on it. "Which do you want to learn?" Apollo touched the screen. "Good choice buddy. Time to learn Will-O-Wisp. Apollo felt a flame suddenly burning in his soul. It felt like a flame from a Vongola ring from Cuburt's favorite anime Reborn. It wasn't hot, yet it wasn't cold. It felt... warm, like life. "What are you feeling Apollo?" Cuburt asked. Apollo felt happy all the sudden, like a nice sauna bath makes you feel after a hard days work. Apollo gave Cuburt the thumbs up signal. "What is that? You feel good?" Apollo nodded. Soon enough Apollo could almost see a blue flame hovering around his body. Not in reality, but in his mind. The flame was about four inches tall to be specific. "Apollo, I want you to make what you are feeling appear in the room. Make your emotion flow like tears when you cry. Only turn this happy mellow feeling into an attack. Chivalrous in state, not angry and not happy, you know what I mean?" Apollo, being a 'feeling' Pokémon and all, had a faint idea. He felt the emotion that the flame made him feel and released it straight at the spider. The blue flame that Apollo was feeling was about to come into reality, or at least as close to reality as this room would let. The perfect flame, one that makes your soul at ease. "Now, release at the spider Pokémon, burning it." Apollo executed the move trying to create the flame in front of him. Like tears as Cuburt had stated earliar, burning tears. Apollo listened carefully, wondering where the hell you two happened to be, though he figured that wasn't a problem right now. He felt the flames within him and released the attack that you were commanding, imagining them as tears. Blue and obviously quite hot, the flames rolled from Apollo and hit the Spinarak, burning him like you had hoped. It looks like Apollo learned the move within one go, which is something that doesn't happen much at all. That's what you can expect when you write up such an amazing command though, and hopefully this helps you learn. Spinarak cried out and quite suddenly, went up entirely in flames and burned to death, not having a chance to retaliate. Looks like Apollo already wins, and he gets 126 which obviously raises his level quite a bit. Apollo now knows a move which will burn his opponent, always useful in a battle where every HP of damage counts. Before you could even figure out what to do next though, another portal opened up before you. This time, though, it wasn't white, and it definitely was calling your name, seeming to draw you in as if you were meant to go. Plus, the sign had changed to say that you were now free to go, although there was somewhere else you had to go. Just jump in, and everything will be explained, although nothing bad will happen because of this portal.Do you trust the entity who seems to own the sign and whatever it says? Perhaps you don't have a choice... And yes, this is absolutely important and you really must go in, otherwise, I'll just have you teleported. It's all part of the huge plot ya know. |

Cuburt was awe struck that Apollo learned the attack so quickly. Maybe this 'write more' stuff might pay off after all. After the good turn out of the last battle, if you can call it that, Cuburt had no reason to stay in this room any longer. It seemed he could trust who ever was in control, for now anyways. It might be a trap or something, nothing to it but to do it right? Cuburt congratulated his Pokémon on an awesome job. Apollo did so well, Cuburt thought that he might be a fire type on the inside for a split second. Apollo gave Cub a hight five and went back into his ball to rest. Cuburt whistled a melody and he walked towards the portal. He waited in the room for five minutes, deep down he thought Sean would appear from somewhere. Also he wanted to think of where the heck he was anyway. "Yeah, ummmm Darkslayer person, where am I?" Cuburt waited for a reply or a sign or something. Nothing happed of course, so Cuburt's short attention span quickly took over. As he whistled more, not caring where we was any longer, he merrily skipped to the rift in space. "Sean! SEAN! Can you hear me? I'm going tot he next portal, just so you know!" Cuburt called out. Just in case Sean might happen to hear by some odd chance. He then stepped into the hole. As he stepped in, Cuburt could feel a wave of something that he had never felt before. which obviously raises his level quite a bit. Just jump in, and everything will be explained, although nothing bad will happen because of this portal.
