Well, it was time to train your Cherubi. Training can take time. Especially when it’s higher end move. There were a few other moves that might have been a bit easier to teach the bright-red Pokémon. But, I can’t blame you for going with a more powerful attack option. Cherry sat in the grass, focusing her energy. You could see that she was trying very hard to focus. Her tiny eyes squinting as she held her breath. Her bright-red skin became even more red as she tensed up. You had to stop her, or she’d make herself pass out. Quickly you explained about the leafs, and let her get back to work. You backed up, leaving Cherry to do her thing. This time, she approached the move differently. Her little body swayed backward and forward, like a gentle breeze was moving her. The leafs on her head swayed in time. And as she swayed, one leaf flung forward. It wasn’t the move- exactly, but it was a step in the right direction. [Magic Leaf = 40%]

"Wow that was cool!" Cuburt praised the Cherubi. "You are learning magic leaf!" Cuburt was shocked. His Pokémon was past his expectations. She was learning such a high level move so quickly! As Cherry began to swing her head again, Cuburt stopped her abruptly stating, "OK you are almost half way done with the move. You got a leaf to come out so you know that it is within your grasp. Now all you have to do is focus on creating even more leaves. Can you do that?" Cuburt stepped backwards and ran over to one of the trees nearby. He snapped off just a few branches and then separated them into smaller pieces. He then jabbed each stick into the ground forming a small area with a bunch of pikes sticking straight up in a line. "OK Cherry, when you get the leaves to come out try to cut these sticks with them. You don't have to be accurate, just do a rapid fire." Cuburt pulled off his backpack and fed Cherry a few snacks. "There, for energy." Cherry nodded and turned toward the sticks. She shook her leafs again preparing to do another magic leaf attack. With her new found energy and pride at her current rate of progressing through such a strong move, she put all her power to her attack and swung her leaves at the sticks. |

(Wait, are you learning Razor Leaf or Magical Leaf? They are two different moves, and currently you have the basics for both. Please choose which one to be sure before requesting again.) Doing as she had before, focusing her energy into producing more 'leaves' as you said, Cherry was focused on performing the attack. She swayed forward rapidly and released another leaf, just as she had before, and sent it in the direction of the sticks, but as soon as it struck the first one it just fell to the floor. Cherry looked at you for a moment and released a sort of sad sigh as her eyes turned up to her head. She had her leaves there still, so she knew that she was able to atleast forge up energy leaves, but it seemed as though they were still a little to weak. Maybe if she tried in an area where they were more leaves, she'd be able to use them instead of just using energetic ones without a physical state. She tried again, swaying back and forth as she fired off a second leaf and let it hit the first stick, giving it a small scratch before it vanished into the ground just as the first one had. From the shadows though, something was watching the two of you, silently watching - waiting. |

(well i started off with razor leaf, but then Mezmo said I was learning magic leaf. Since magic leaf seem like a more skilled move, I didn't argue ;P ) "Ok Cherry, you are mastering the basics." Cuburt walked over to the tree he took the branch from and shook it vigorously. The tree must really hate him by now. "Come over here Cherry." Cherry hovered over to where Cuburt was standing. She then sat herself down in the big pile of leaves. "Use these leaves instead of making your own. It will save time and energy." Cherry nodded and glared at the twigs in the ground again. She was determined to learn this move. Cherry summoned up some more energy from within her tiny body. "Just pretend that these leaves are the leaves you created yourself from your stem and it should work just fine. Skip the creating stage and just go straight to the tossing part. Sounds easy, but then again I'm not doing it." Cuburt stood back as Cherry imagined that all the leaves on the floor were the ones she had spawned from her head-leaves. She felt as one with them. Cuburt watched in amazement. Cherry focused on making them float then striking the stick in her head. Now to make it reality. Cuburt was excited, but he had the strange feeling he was being watched. He shrugged it off and continued to cheer on Cherry. |

As you told Cherry to continue with the training, now using other leaves than her own, you began to feel the watched-emotion from whatever was looking at you. For now though, it remained silent as its eyes continued to keep focus on Cherry. Cherry had started to rock again, focusing on the leaves that were now surrounding her. She started to hum for an unknown reason as a very dull energy began to eminate from her body and envelope leaves which then started to hover in the air. "Cherubi..." She said as the leaves began to rotate some and then fly off towards the twigs you'd set down before, striking one of them before they fell to the ground, leaving only scratches on the twigs. As you began to count exactly how many leaves had been flung, you realized that Cherry had been able to make it so that 6 leaves were under her control. There was still something that she needed though in order to perfect the launch, she needed something that would give the leaves that extra UMPH of power. She began to rock again, again picking up a few leaves with her dull energy which surrounded the edges of the leaves and made them appear only a soft bit shinner. As she flung the leaves out towards the twigs though, you kept a close eye on them and noticed that when each one of the leaves struck a twig, the energy from the leaf shot off and left the tiny scratch while the leaf itself fell off to the side. Now, it was up to you how you'd go about using this information. [[Magical Leaf learning curve - 58%]]((I may have a plot here :3 Okay, I definately have a plot here. Cherry seemed to be doing pretty good on her move, but the presence of someone else was apparent. Cuburt thought it might have been a Weedle maybe, so he decided to pretend he didn't feel it. He still couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. He tried to focus on Cherry's training, but he just couldn't. "Cherry, you are doing good but you need more power. Want more food?" Cuburt handed his starter Pokémon a few more pellets for that extra punch. "Oh I know!" Cherry looked at Cuburt confused. "You are a grass Pokémon, so what do you need? Sun!" He motion Cherry away from the leaf pile into a patch full of sunlight. He then pushed all the leaves into the spot. "Just sit there and absorb as much sunlight as you can. Take it all in." Cuburt grabbed his pokeball. "Go Yanma!" Yanma came out buzzing. "Can you go up to the trees and eat away some of the leaves to give Cherry some more sunlight?" Yanma happily buzzed at the chance for a good meal of fresh leaves. Yanma chewed away and the sun flowed in warming everything around Cherry. Cherry felt restored and her leaves shown bright green. She munched at her poke-snacks that Cuburt dropped earlier. Now when she took in tons of light, which doesn't make sense since light is weightless, but anyway she took it in. She floated about a foot above the ground and focused all her power on the leaves. Cuburt was proud but still wanted that Weedle, or so he thought, to stop staring at him from the bushes. |

As you again began training with Cherry, Yanma was happily eating away at the leaves, taking his fill as you heard his quickly beating wings produce a soothing humm. But it was time to get back to business, so as you looked at Cherry -who was now levitating leaves up into the air again- you noticed that the leaves were all shining brighter than before. She too started to hover for a few seconds before swining her leaves out rapidly, sending the dozen she'd been able to levitate out along with one she'd been able to spring from her own head. As the leaves spun around like throwing knives, you could see the energy from each of them start to spiral like vortexes. And when those leaves -one in particular- struck a low-hanging tree branch, you saw as it cut a small dent about half way into the branch before the energy vanished and the leaf drifted back into the earth. Most of the leaves had been sent out unaimed, and thus had been lost into the area, but not it seemed as though Cherry was learning to use the attack properly; it shouldn't be long now. [[Magical Leaf learning curve - 75%]]But as soon as you were about to praise your Pokémon the bush where your suspected weedle was hiding shook violently and dozens of leaves shot out rotating, limegreen energy eminating off of them as they appeared like Buzzsaws going towards you and Cherry. As the buzzsaws passed by the two of you -narrowly, I might add- you realized as they cut through one of the nearby trees -and not even a THIN one. As the tree chunks fell to the ground smashing a few nearby bushes, you couldn't help but wonder what was coming out from the bush. And to answer your question, the tiny Pokémon came on out with its 'arms' crossed. "Sprout!" Level 13 [Egg Move: Magical Leaf]Well, if this wasn't a nice turn of events... NOT! |

(OOC: just wondering, which will give me more exp? Catching the bellsprout or just plain ol' beating it?) Cherry and Cuburt were stunned at the sudden turn of events. This Bellsprout was kinda psychotic attacking them with no reason. Cherry got very angry very fast. How dare some Pokémon attack her trainer and herself while they were training! Cherry rushed forward at the Bellsprout. Cuburt grabbed her tiny palm withstraining her from her rage. "Cherry calm down, this is a good opportunity. Cuburt got out his pokedex and learned that the Pokémon knew magic leaf! "We will battle this Pokémon while using magic leaf, then if you don't know the move by the end of the battle, we will use this rude little Pokémon to train you." Cherry nodded with a evil-twisted little smile on her face. It creeped Cuburt out a little. Cherry sat back in her leaf pile awaiting a call from her trainer. "Cherry you know what to do. Magic leaf. This one target will help you focus on your aim, which seems to be your only down point of the move." Cherry nodded and made the leaves begin to glow again. The sunlight continued to flow in as Yanma sat in the trees eating and watching as if it was a movie theater. "Use magic leaf at Bellsprout Cherry." Cherry nodded as if saying "With pleasure." She focused all her energy on the leaves and all her aim on the Bellsprout. After all the most important part of Magic leaf is that it can't miss right? What is the point of a move that can't miss if it misses? Edited by Cuburt007, Dec 24 2008, 09:46 AM.

(Same Ammount =P) So it's a battle now, what great fun. As you commanded Cherry to use Magical Leaf on Bellsprout, you kept an eye on Bellsprout herself to be sure that you caught anything on Magical Leaf that might be useful later. But you noticed something on Bellsprout, a small and incredibly thin brown ribbon tied around its stem near its head, an adornment maybe? But who put it there? You didn't have time to think that over though because already a few leaves were hovering off the ground and Cherry had squinted one eye, stuck out here tongue, and was aiming at Bellsprout. Of course though, Bellsprout wasn't just waiting on the attack, because already it'd injected its vine-like roots into the ground preparing to attack. Soon enough though, Cherry released her barrage of leaves -leaf storm, maybe? Whatever- towards Bellsprout, a few drifting off course as they headed towards Bellsprout. But in a flash, all the leaves fell dead to the ground once you caught site of a few vines coming up from the ground and smacking them down. Immediately you put two and two together and you were able to figure out that, as long as Bellsprout was rooted it could use vine whip to protect itself. But that wasn't even all, because as you put those few things together, Bellsprout used another Magical Leaf -this time only releasing one- towards Cherry, striking her head on into a tree nearby. 13 51/51 86% 7 31/39 91%What now? |

"Cherry use headbutt to knock the bellsprout out of the ground. Its protecting itself!" Cherry rushed forward at the sprout carefully dodging any vives that might happen to put up. "After you knock it out of the Earth use magical leaf once again, but this time use your own leaves." Cuburt then noticed that the Bellsprout was sporting a nifty little brown ribbon. What could that mean? It has a trainer? Why wasn't the trainer helping to stop this homicidal sprout? Whatever the answers this bellsprout was very well trained and really strong. Cherry continued to hover at the Bellsprout ducking its head preparing for the attack. "Cherry I think it has a trainer or something, see its stem? There is some sort of necktie there." Cherry saw it but She didn't care either way. She was out for blood. Edited by Cuburt007, Dec 24 2008, 02:09 PM.

As you commanded Cherry to use Headbutt, the opposing Bellsprout started to eminate a thin energy which he then shot to the sky, immediately making the climate much hotter than it had been. Bellsprout 'smiled' and then Cherry shot forth quickly with Headbutt, aimed to knock the young bellsprout from the ground, her speed having increased quite a bit as Cloryphyll activated. But as she neared Bellsprout, the small plant Pokémon unrooted itself and swirved out of the way, a small yellow orb starting to form within its mouth. As he did so, you could see that the Pokémon also had the ability Cloryphyll and, sadly, had used its wit to make Cherry crash into a tree with a loud knock. When Cherry was able to regain her posture and look at Bellsprout, the orb that Bellsprout had started to create had grown already four times the size it was before. "Sprout, use Solar Beam." You heard the very calm voice come from behind a tree as a man dressed in all green walked out, eyes closed. As soon as he finished saying his words though, Bellsprout released the powerful grass-type attack from close-range and caused cherry to Skid across the hard dirt and grass as she rolled. The trainer looked over to you and smirked, Sprout just looked over to the trainer and 'smiled' again as he then flicked his eyes over to Cherry and realized her sending two small leaves from the top of her head towards him. He was surprised that, in her condition, she'd been able to send off the attack, and as he swiveled out of the way of the leaves, he was surprised when one turned for a moment and struck him hard. Cuburt walked over to the man, "What the heck is your problem!?" Cuburt turned red, "Why are you attacking my Pokémon? We are just trying to train!" Cuburt was getting very angry. "If you want a battle, its on! You don't know my Pokémon's strength!" Cuburt helped Cherry up, "Cherry you almost master Magic leaf. This Pokémon is strong and it can use solarbeam. That isn't good since its so sunny right now. We are in trouble if we don't act fast. Use magic leaf fast! Use all you've learned so far to attack that Pokémon and his crazy trainer!" Cherry got up, feeling pretty roughed up. She felt the warmth from the sun, and it soothed her. She took a deep breath and then let it out. Suddenly she had a tough expression on her face. She dusted herself off and focused on her leaves and the ones on the floor. She visualized the attack and then let it flow. |

The trainer only smiled as he looked at his Bellsprout, "Sprout, use Magical Leaf." He ordered rather calmly as his Bellsprout nodded, its leaves starting to glow brightly on its sides. Cherry noticed this and, as she too prepared a magical leaf, took note as her own leaves began to glow like that of the Bellsprout. "Go," The trainer said as not only Bellsprout waved his leaves out sending two magical leaf attacks towards Cherry, but Cherry herself sent off the attack at the signal. Both Magical Leaf attacks crashed in the center, and curved around each other eventually as they continued on their path to the target. Bellsprout again curved out of the way of the attack while Cherry, smart as ever, prepared a second Magical Leaf which -aimed properly- would cause the two coming towards her to spiral and change targets. Thus, as she released the attack, the two leaves coming towards her spun backwards along with the two she'd just sent and now Bellsprout was trying to dodge not two, not four, but SIX magical leaves until eventually it jumped up and, well, got stricken by all six of them mid-air. This round goes to you, my friend. "Ha ha, whose smiling now, strange psycho trainer who is trying to kill me." Cuburt went up to his Cherubi. "Cherry you learned a new move, awesome job!" Cuburt then realized that the battle was still on and quickly got out of the area, being very cautious of any attacks that might come. "Cherry let's wrap this up, shall we." Cuburt got back in the mood, "Cherry, use growth! Then use an all out magic leaf! I don't care how much energy you wanna use. All of it if you want! Put all of what you have left into this attack. You have to show that bellsprout that you are the dominant grass Pokémon." Cherry felt the sunlight on her head. With puffed puffed pride, Cherry cracked her would-be knuckles, and started to use growth. The move magic leaf felt easy to her now, even though she only knew it for a few minutes. The world of move learning is a strange one indeed. |

Commanding your Pokémon to use growth in order to pump up its special attacks was definately a good idea. So as cherry started to gather energy for the attack, the "strange psycho trainer who is trying to kill you" commanded his bellsprout. "Sprout, teach this kid some manners. Solar Beam, full power." He ordered still calm as ever while his bellsprout started to gather energy rapidly in his mouth, an orb growing larger and larger every second that passed until it was the size of his head. "Bell..." "...rubi!" Bellsprout and Cherry both called simultaneously as their attacks were released. Both attacks clashed in the center of both Pokémon, exhausted, as they were immobolized. Cherry looked up to see her Magical Leaf starting to cut through the Solar beam, but was them shocked when she saw the solar beam starting to burn through. And then the convulsion of both Pokémon's power created a big explosion that And as the explosion cleared, both Pokémon seemed knocked out on the ground by the tree they'd hit. IT'S A DRAW! Cherry Gained 70 EXP :3 Cherry leveled up :D {{I may have calculated wrong xD It's been a while since I awarded EXP. Might wanna ask another mod to check it.}} |
