The ferry soon departed after you had gotten off in Wayford. It was your ticket to this new place full of wonderment and mystery. Who knew what kind of Pokémon and people you were going to meet on this strange island? Well at least you wouldn't have to go it alone would you? You always had your faithful Cherubi by your side. You slowly walked away from the port where you had recently been disembarked from. You now were walking close to the sea, keeping a beady eye out for Pokémon or opposing trainers. What would be the first wild Pokémon you encountered? The possibilities were exciting yet daunting. When you looked onto the sand near the sea, you saw much of it shifting and being moved around. It was almost as if a mole was shifting the sand and earth. Sure enough, moments later a brown Pokémon popped up from beneath the sediment. It looked towards you. You weren't causing him any trouble so he merely ignored you, but now was a good time to try and catch it. Lv.6 |

"Awesome my first Pokémon battle!" Cuburt pulled out his pokeball and gave it a good chuck. It hit the ground and out came Cherry his Cherubi. "Ok, lets make this fast Cherry! Tackle!" Cuburt's blood pounded, the excitment was to much. Cuburt didn't realize it was just a diglett, not a moltres or anything... He pointed out his finger and Cherry lept forward. Cherubi, Cuburt is sure, is nervous too. Especially considering that he just got his Pokémon and barley know each other. Edited by Cuburt007, Jul 3 2008, 01:37 PM.

Your Cherubi leapt forward, covering the distance rather quickly. He slammed into the side of the Diglett, causing the mole Pokémon to slide along the ground a bit. Diglett turned and glared at your Cherubi. All of a sudden a large blast of sand hits your Cherubi in the face, getting sand in its mouth and eyes and nose. Your Cherubi staggers around for a second, trying to get itself oriented. All of a sudden Diglett moves forward, much faster then you would expect from a small Pokémon like him and scratches your Cherubi in the back, causing Cherubi to fall on the ground. Diglett backs off a little and starts to do a victory dance, figuring he’d already won. Well, your Cherubi wasn’t down and out yet. Show him whose boss of the beach. "Cherry this is not a problem at all! Its just some sand, you're tough!" Cuburt was worried that he might lose this battle, even tough it just started. Cuburt panicked too much. He found his cool and got back into the battle. Cuburt realized it was sunny out. Cherry, according to his poketch, speed should double! This will definatly help is this battle. Thank you Chlorophyll! "Cherry you have the advantage here." Cuburt had no idea what that advantage was though. "Now Cherry tackle Digglet hard and try to knock it backwards! Keep knocking it back until we are off the beach! Don't worry about damage to it, just push it hard!" Cuburt looked in to the distance to where he sand ended and the boardwalk began. Cherry nodded ignorantly and headed into battle without hearing what you said but got an idea from before. Cherry propelled forward at the Diglett and aimed for it's next attack. The Diglett wasn't frightened or did she flinch at the oncoming fruit Pokémon but instead began to shove handfuls of sand at Cherry in attempt to blind it yet again but that didn't stop her from going any faster. The Sand-attack didn't work as well as the Diglett assumed which gave Cherry plenty of time to leap into the air and bash herself onto the Diglett's body twice in a row. Diglett took the attack without fighting back since the barrage was taking him by force. Once Cherubi faltered for one, single second, the Diglett aimed at it and swiped it with Scratch. Both Pokémon are at an even match but really you and your partner here are winning. Level 6 ![]() 15/37 85% Level 5 ![]() 18/35 81%[-1 ACC] |

"Doing good Cherry!" Instantly Cuburt felt a little more relaxed. Cherry was doing pretty good in her first battle. "Cherry use your speed! Tackle Digglet fast and hard!" Cuburt suddenly remembered that he could catch Pokémon. He needed more then one anyway. This was his shot. "Get her low Cherry, then let me catch 'em k? Now Cherry attack!" Cuburt reached in his pocket and pulled out a pokeball. He hit the center button to enlarge it to prepare for the catching process. |

Diglett was getting infuriated with how Cherry was constantly trying to fell him into a list of barrages. He wanted to take action and retaliate at this menace but couldn't do anything not being versatile enough. But she felt strong about giving it her all to win and retreat and charged forward into Cherry. But Cherry was faster, even though she's not stronger. She immediately revved up and ran forward with her leaf dangling uncontrollably. Diglett cocked his head and waiting for the moment Cherry came into range. When she did, the Diglett attempted to Skull Bash her without a second thought, but Cherry was smarter than that. She used her speed, like you said, and boosted herself with an Agility and evaded the attack, leaving the Diglett vulnerable for seizing. Cherry did a fierce Tackle on the Diglett while he was trying to pool together his brain and pushed him across ground, but to no avail, saw if she had legs or not. But that didn't matter. You instantly threw the pokeball and it hit the Diglett. The pokeball vacuumed her into the ball and the three beeps rang out as the Pokémon was captured. [I'll add in what you get] |

"Hooray! You did it Cherry awesome job!" Cuburt patted her on her head. "Here's some extra food for your job well done." After eating Cherry returned to her pokeball for a nice, long rest. Cuburt tucked the pokeball safely in his pocket. He ran over to Digglets pokeball and picked it up. "Hi digglet welcome to the team." While putting his newly found friend in his other pocket, he continued to walk. "Hmm where should I go?" He looked around the beach." I don't really need to be in this town anymore, so off to the nearest Route! Maybe I can train my Pokémon some more and learn some new moves while I'm at it." The anticipation and excitment was too much! "Let's go guys!" Cuburt, with a hop in his step, walked off too the nearest Route for more adventure! OCC: Cherry heals in her pokeball right? If not I would like to heal at the Pokémon center first. |

Off to Route two it was then! But first, as you knew that Pokémon don't heal naturally in their Pokeball's you took yourself and your Pokémon to the nearest Pokécenter which took you a little longer than 5 minutes. When you arrived and pushed the doors open you saw many trainers pushing past each other trying to get to the front of the Que. One person in particular was being rather obnoxious and trying to make out that he could get the front slot because he had a better Pokémon than everyone else. Even though he had already had his Pokémon healed he liked to point this out to everyone at the front. Nurse Joy had managed to block it out, as had many other people, but would it be possible for you? Finally it came for your turn to have your Pokémon to be healed. You passed over your two Pokeballs and Nurse Joy put them onto a machine with a red cross painted on. It began whirring and buzzing until Nurse Joy handed back both of your Pokeballs. You were now refreshed and ready to go. But the boy at the front didn't seem satisfied and continued to tease people at the front. People were muttering in the Que but not doing anything about it. Would you do something? Maybe a Pokémon battle would shut this guy up? You could always use the experience couldn't you? And maybe this could be your first battle with Diglet. Regardless this was your first battle with a trainer if you chose to challenge the boy. Edited by Shockwave, Jul 5 2008, 08:51 AM.

Man this kid has a big mouth, Cuburt thought, maybe I should humble him a little... Cuburt got up and tapped him on his shoulder. "Hey want to battle with these 'great Pokémon' I've been hearing about? I'm not afraid" Cuburt got his pokeballs ready. Even if he lost this would be fun he thought. He wasn't going to lose though. He trusted his Pokémon to win this battle without breaking a sweat at all. "Ready now?" |

The boy stopped talking and looked at you. He obviously was not interested in battling; in fact it seemed he would rather not have anything to do with you. Unfortunately a few of the other people heard you and started egging him on. The boy had no other choice and accepted your challenge. “Fine, but don’t be too surprised if you lose,” The kid said and headed outside so you guys would have more room. “Ok, I’ll start this off by sending out my Pokémon. They may not look like much but they will knock your Pokémon out in one hit.” With that the kid tossed his first Pokémon. “Weedle,” the Pokémon said as a Weedle appeared from the ball. What’s this? A Weedle? A useless bug Pokémon? Ah well, this was so going to be easy. You should let your Pokémon out and beat this guy, it shouldn’t be to hard should it? Lv 5

A weedle, Cuburt thought, what a dork... It took all he had not to just crack up and walk away. He stayed anyway. Maybe the weedle was a Pokémon genuis or something. Who knows. Never judge a book by it's cover. Still holding back his laughter, he reached for his pokeballs. Thid was going to be a fun battle, and he might make a name for himslef with all the on-lookers around. Which Pokémon should he choose? He picked diglett's Pokémon ball and gave it a good chuck. Diglett was the obvious choice since ground beats poisin and grass is weak against it. "Go Diglett!" If only diglett knew some ground type moves besides sand attack. Sand attack wouldn't work though since there was no sand in the building. Enough thinking though, time to battle! It was his first trainer battle and it was against a trainer that bragged too much, who's better to crush? Cuburt smurked and said, "Scratch!" Edited by Cuburt007, Jul 7 2008, 09:16 AM.

Your Diglett began approaching Weedle, digging a hole in the floor as he approached him. Then after a quick blur from Diglett, Weedle now had a deep scratch mark along the front of his face. Weedle sat back and began squealing in pain. It had taken a few moments for Weedle to realised what had happened as it had occurred so fast. Weedle had coiled himself into a ball to try to protect himself from further damage, fortunately for Weedle, it was the only move that you had ordered your Diglett to use whom now travelled back to you via the tunnel he had just created in the floor. I don't think Nurse Joy would be too pleased with that, hopefully you wouldn't have to pay for any damages though. "Weedle get up," the boy yelled at his Pokémon. Many people winced as they walked past him, how could you be that cruel to a poor defenceless Pokémon? "Weedle use a Poison Sting on that pathetic waste of space known as Diglett!" He shouted. So he thought your Diglett was a waste of space did he? Weedle got up out of his ball position and began firing small needles with bits of poison on them towards your mole Pokémon. Diglett reacted instinctively and ducked into the hole he had made. Some hit but most of the damage was avoided by your Digletts quick thinking, maybe you could use this giant tunnel to your advantage? Lv.6 32/35 87% Lv.5 29/35 91%

Wow I sure am glad I caught this Diglett, Cuburt smiled towards Diglett as if to say 'Good job!' "Doing good Diglett! You are strong! Now Diglett let's put this weedle out of his misery." Cuburt looked at the tunnels, by the look of it there were lots of them intermixing beneath the floor. Suddenly it came to him, Diglett was digging! Not yet mastering the move, Cuburt didn't want to rush her learning the move and lose the battle. So he decided to wait until later to teach diglett the rest of the move. None the less that's awesome, he thought. "Now Diglett we got this in the bag! Hide underground and prepare for a skull bash, try to knock weedle into your tunnels! You will difinatly win then!" Cuburt glanced at Nurse Joy, "Sorry Joy for the floor. Please forgive us for or rudeness!" Looking back at Diglett he said, "Now Diglett! Commence the plan. We can do it without breaking a sweat now. Activate underground skull bash now!" |

Weedle smirked as your Diglett dug under the ground, felt the shudders from the ground as the Diglett moved towards it. Weedle lifted its tail and let out a strand of a sticky webby substance as it released a string shot. Weedle lifted up a bit, hanging in the air by its tail, its head facing the ground, ready to counter when he saw the Diglett. Diglett popped out of the ground, slamming its head hard into, well, into the spot where Weedle was supposed to have been. Unfortunately Weedle was not there. An instant later a rain of poisonous needles rained down from above as Weedle used poison sting. Diglett shuddered as the pain rained from above, causing poison to set deep into his body. Weedle grinned in success, at least until the string he had been hanging by snapped. He fell the 5 feet to the ground, landing hard on its head. Ditto shook its head and looked at the Diglett, whom by now was grinning wickedly. Diglett dropped into the ground again, this time causing the ground around it, and consequently the Weedle as well, to crack and break/ Weedle fell into the ground and shook its head, an instant before Diglett slammed into it with a powerful skull bash. Well, that round had gone kinda bad. At least you had scored a powerful hit, but now your Diglett was poisoned. What were you going to do now? Lv 5 20/35 79% Lv. 6 26/37 79%(poisoned) |
