((Sorry for the uber-lateness. But here's the post.)) "Finally," Manuel said as he breathed in the cool beach air and smiled. "Well, I guess I finally get to train with my Finneon." He said as he looked over to Kitty. "So, where did you want to start? We could start with your Poochyena if you like, or Snubbull." He suggested as he reached for a pokeball on his belt. Immediately after curling his fingers around the ball he smiled and gripped it tight, throwing it up into the air above him as he called out, "Sosogu, Vitrine!" As soon as he came out with his words the ball popped open and out came a small white light that immediately dove into the water and darted through it until it slowed and faded away into a dull blue with pink coming from its tail. "Sosogu, nice to finally see you!" He said as he looked down at his fishy friend and held out his hand to great him. "I'm Manuel, I'm your coordinator, I've been meaning to introduce myself to you for a while now but this is the first time that I've found water!" He admitted before looking over to Kitty. "That's a friend of mine, Kitty, don't be scared though. Anyways, I was thinking, do you want to help me and Kitty learn some new attacks? Or did you just want to take a swim?" He questioned, one way or another he'd still get some move-teaching in... I wonder if their are any other cool water-types around here... He thought to himself, knowing that with Sosogu he'd be fine if there was water around, but without water Sosogu was just another ball on his belt. He sighed and moved along. ((Also, you can post first if you want, you don't have to wait for me.)) |

(I've been busy myself Shadow because of work and with the Christmas season starting my day at work is as busy as my day at school since it's getting close to the end of the semester for my classes. The last day for my college classes is on the 16 so I might be able to make it on her more often after that before my next semester start) Kitty smiled at Manuel and thought about it for a moment as she listened to his question and as he talked to the fish-type Pokémon that he had just called out. "Well it would be nice to teach Shalicaes something so that he will have a better attack then what he already has. What do you believe will be best to teach him. I'm thinking about teaching him Dark Pulse or Shadow Ball sometime but I'm not sure on how to go with that or if he is ready to learn either one of those attacks," she answered him. She had Shalicaes in his Pokeball right now but she also thought that Terai should be taught something as well but for now she was fine with her attacks. Shalicaes needed another physical attack and not a stats attack since he already had Howl and Sand Attack. Howl raises his attack power and Sand Attack lowers the accuracy of the foe that they are going against. She would also like to teach him Crunch will be stronger then Bite would be. She then looked at her two Pokémon that were out of their Pokeballs and remembered how Pasaer looked at Flame when she succeeded at learning Fire Blast and new that she will have to teach him that somehow but she wasn't sure on how. She then look at Speedy and though about what she talked to Manuel about. She was wanting to teach Speedy Aerial Ace and Wing Attack. "There is so much we can do to teach everyone. Speedy should probably learn Wing Attack and then Aerial Ace and Pasaer wants to learn Fire Blast after watching Flame succeed at it," she said softly smiling at Speedy and Pasaer. |

Sosogu was so glad to finally be in water after so much time inside of the PokeBall that had been keeping him from being out in the wild. He swam about, eager to be able to do something to stretch its fins and maybe battling prowess too. Upon hearing your voice, and you telling it that you were its coordinator, Sosogu knew very well that this only meant one thing. He really had to listen to you, and he heard you say something about the person standing with you. A friend of yours, and you wanted him to help teach you guys some new moves? Well that'd be wonderful really, except Sosogu apparently didn't know how he was supposed to be able to do that. All he really knew was Pound, although he supposed that even though it was basic, it could do some damage when taught properly. But then he had yet another idea. Why was he the only one to actually teach the moves? He could help in a different way too! There were other water Pokémon here, were there not? Surely he could find some of them and have them help you out here. Of course, he knew that they wouldn't do that unless they were promised their freedom. They wouldn't just come right on up to you guys and do as you wanted with the knowledge that they could become your slaves as well! Sosogu just had to figure out how to tell you this. It came up to the water and looked at you, willing you to please release a Pokémon that you would be able to understand. At least one that could point. That would be helpful. Meanwhile, he would do his best at giving you this information. So he dived down and then came back up and pretended that he had never seen you before in his life! Then he nodded and talked to you, then started swimming fast and came back and talked to you again. Really, he couldn't do much more to show him teaching a move, so he started to use Pound, trying to throw in the teaching process. But to show you their desire for freedom, he didn't know what to do. So he nodded, smiled and then dove back down and stayed there for a little while. Then he came back up and made this grand gesture that was meant as a "tada!" So... do you actually understand all of that? I hope so, because him agreeing ot help you out by getting other water Pokémon to help out would be amazing! Don't you agree? |

Manuel listened to Kitty and smirked. "Well, since we're at a beach it'll be rather difficult to teach Fire Blast right now, especially since the sun is going down. Maybe we can work on that later, but for now we can teach Speedy to use Wing Attack if you like." He said before noticing Sosogu acting as if he were wild. "What is he up to?" He questioned as he grabbed Dini's pokeball off of his belt. "Dini, translate please." He said as he released the small Humanoid-Pokémon from its pokeball. Immediately when the golden brown Pokémon appeared, it began to send thoughts between trainer and Pokémon so that the plan was much clearer. Soon enough, Manuel understood what was up and smiled, nodding happily. "Okay then." He said as he then smirked as he looked over at Kitty. Okay Sosogu, we'll just have to hope that the other water-types know whats up. He thought, having his thoughts sent to Sosogu through his channeling psychic-Pokémon, Dini. Abra... Dini's voice came out slowly as he sat on the sand and sighed. "So Kitty, how about we start teaching Wing Attack." He stated as he grabbed another pokeball off his belt, this one shinier than the others due to its relative newness. "Malifest, I need you to float around, just make sure you keep moving, you're going to be a target for now. If one of the attacks we'll be training gets too close to you, become unphysical... that way you can't be damaged." He said, though he knew that'd only protect Malifest from the Physical attacks. He turned back over to Kitty, "Okay, Speedy knows how to use Focus Energy. What he needs to do here though is use it on his WINGS, to charge them with energy, and from then on just try and attack Malifest with ONLY his wings. And, if you want, add your own touch to it so that it makes a little more sense to Speedy." Finally, he looked down at Sosogu and over at Dini once more. "Dini, translate once more please?" He asked before his thoughts echoed throughout the area between him, Dini, and Sosogu. Sosogu, try and search for other water-types to help us out. Check back every few minutes so I know you are alright, if you get into any trouble just signal Dini and Me, we'll be there in a flash... literally. His thoughts came off as he knew Dini could Teleport directly over to Sosogu in the event that he was in trouble. With all that done, Sosogu nodded and dove off into the water once again. Kitty nodded and looked at her Taillow. "Okay Speedy first use Focus Energy but use it to focus on your wings instead of your whole body. Since Malifest will be like a moving target to help you learn this attack it's best that you try to hit him with your 'wings' and not anything else once you are sure that you have Focus Energy set on your wings," she said. She wasn't sure if she said it right but she hoped that Speedy will know what she means by her commands to him. She really wanted to help him have more attacking moves that could show him off better in a contest and Wing Attack can be like that. Speedy thought about it before he nodded believing that he did understand what Kitty was talking about. He began to use Focus Energy but he worked to make sure that it was concentrated on his wings only so that he can get ready to try what Kitty had called for him to do which is to use only his wings to try and hit Malifest. He also had listen to what Manuel was saying and kept that in mind as he worked on getting the Focus Energy to go to his wings and prepared to go at Malifest by using his wings. Kitty hopes that Speedy will be able to learn Wing Attack. She knows it will take a bit of training and she hopes that she does the training right so that he will succeed at learn wing attack with her help. Speedy is her first Pokémon and her first friend when she moved here with her father so she wants to do what she can for him. Edited by Trainer Kitten, Dec 9 2008, 04:12 PM.

Sosogu immediately dived down into the water and began his search of Pokémon who would help out. Though you don't know it, every time he said something about a Taillow learning Wing Attack, they didn't want anything to do with it. Which is really too bad, because I'm sure having a target in the water would do a lot of good. But for now, it seemed that Sosogu was having a tough time finding any buddies to help out. He checked back after five minutes with nothing to report and then dove yet again. Malifest was bobbing about in the air, twirling and waiting for Speedy to do something. Eventually, when Speedy felt that he had Focus Energy done right in his wings, he flew to Malifest and tried hitting him with a wing. Unfortunately, he didn't quite know how to hit him with the wing, because nobody told him how to go about that. So he stopped flying and tilted himself up and tried smacking Malifest with the wing. Because of this, he also lost focus and no longer had Focus Energy in effect. He didn't mean to pick on Speedy, but Malifest couldn't help but snicker at Speedy's vain attempt at hitting him with a wing. But the good news is that Speedy didn't seem to have a problem with starting a Focus Energy in the wings! Current Learning of Wing Attack for Speedy: 10% Oh, and Sosogu has come back with a buddy. It's a Qwilfish, and it seems to think that Speedy would want to stay as far away from him as possible. After all, those barbs are pretty poisonous, aren't they? Sosogu told Dini that this Qwilfish knew Aqua Tail because both of its parents were high leveled Qwilfish who knew the attack. That's an attack that Sosogu could learn, and it's pretty powerful... |

[[Nice, never seen a qwilfish before xD]] Manuel looked at Kitty and smiled; "I don't want to do all the work for you, but you arn't thinking enough on the attack. Remember, it's not only an attack that is explained and immediately learned, but it takes some time. Here, let's try to just have Speedy try and strike Malifest with his wings again, this time, have him strike with the right wing, and then rotate back and go with the left." He looked at Kitty with a smile before turning to Malifest. "Malifest, we're going to go again. Don't be mean to Speedy either, I know you are used to it, but it's not nice. Atleast be constructive." Manuel instructed before noticing Sosogu come back up to water with a Qwilfish, immediately their thoughts transferred between one another and Manuel smiled. "Well well, it seems I get some training in too." He said as he looked at the Qwilfish, "well, how about you two help us out a bit? For now, we're going to focus on single-target training, but maybe you two could help me... I dunno... with my specifications? I mean, I can tutor pretty well, but I'm not the greatest at explaining how to teach something. Does either one of you know... say... Aquatail?" he said, playing along with Sosogu's current "wild-Pokémon" act. |

Kitty saw that Speedy was confused on how to hit Malifest with his wings and realized right away that she didn't explain it enough to Speedy so that he could get the Wing Attack started. At least he has learn to focus Focus Energy in his wings so that his attacks can be effective. Now she just has to tell Speedy how to use his wing to attack. After a few moments thought she got some kind of idea on how to do that. Mainly it came from the advise that Manuel told her she should do that will help Speedy to use his wing in an effective way. "Speedy I'm sorry I got you confuse. Let's try this again. Following what Manuel said use your right wing to strike at Malifest and then go around him and use your left wing to strike at him," Kitty said. She looked at Manuel to see if she said that right this time around. Speedy looked like he got it this time and began to try again this time focusing on striking at Malifest with his right wing and then his left and not the way he did before. Kitty was still worried that she said it wrong again but she didn't let that effect her because that would make Speedy nervous as well. "Did I do it right this time Manuel," she asked worriedly. |

((OOC: Wow I must have really confused you Shadow. I'll fix it this time though.)) Not understanding why you were pretending not to know him, Sosogu realized that you must have misunderstood him after all. So he told Dini to let you know that Qwilfish knows that he's yours. But Qwilfish has been told that she'll be keeping her freedom from you, though whether or not you follow through with that part is up to you. Of course if you don't, you could be known all over as the mean trainer who tries to trick wild Pokémon into believing they could trust you and then battling them senselessly for capture. So you might want to think on that before doing anything. Once Dini delivered the message to you, so now you should know for sure what exactly is going on. Then Qwilfish waited for you to tell her that it was okay that she start teaching Sosogu Aqua Tail. Of course this could take a long time, and it would be better if you did try your best to help Qwilfish. Maybe by telling her how Sosogu might be able to pick up on it and such? Meanwhile, back to our Wing Attack here, right? Well Speedy dove for Manuel, and this time, something worked. Manuel immediately went to non solid, which was good, because the right wing would have practically given him a goose egg. Then he turned in the air and struck out with his left wing. Before you get too excited, now he needs to be able to add more power to it, as it won't do too much damage yet. Let's see what you two can come up with now shall we? Oh, and I'll put in Qwilfish's stats too, just so you have them. Wing Attack: 80% Learned. GOOD JOB! ^.^ ![]() Level 8 41/41 100%

"Great job Speedy. I believe you are getting closer at learning this attack. Use Focus Energy through your wings again so that you can add power behind them. Then use the same method as before and go at Malifest with first your right wing and then turn around and try to strike at him with your left. This is known as Wing Attack," Kitty said to Speedy. She wasn't sure on how well this will work but since following the method that Manuel suggested earlier helped them grow closer at learning Wing Attack she believed that using it again with the Focus Energy behind the wings will help Speedy to learn it completely. Speedy nodded and prepared himself to use Focus Energy through his wings and getting ready to try the method from before again. He hopes that he will learn this attack called 'Wing Attack' because he believed that it would be really cool to have. He continued to work on using Focus Energy on his wings and prepared himself to go at Malifest again with his wings like Kitty said. Kitty waited patiently to see what will happen this time and at the corner of her eyes she saw Manuel had got his Abra out and he was talking to his Finneon and the Qwilfish that look like she wanted to help with something. |

Manuel watched as Kitty worked with Speedy to learn Wing Attakc and as face. "Malifest, use Lick." He ordered almost silently as Malifest nodded. He knew that if Speedy was able to learn Wing Attack, it'd never be a perfect attack unless he could use it whenever he called upon it. With that, Manuel smirked and looked back down to Qwilfish and Sosogu. "Well, Aqua Tail, if I'm not mistaken, is an attack involving one slapping their tail down on water, some times on land, and calling forth the water into a grand torrent. So, I guess what would be best to start with would be..." He looked at Qwilfish and wondered what exactly would be best. "Uhm, Qwilfish, can you show us how to perform it first? Sosogu, keep a close eye on Qwilfish." He ordered, smiling. Sosogu nodded, and awaited for Qwilfish to give him an example of Aqua Tail so that both he and Manuel could gather ideas from the attack. |

Speedy powered up his wings and took flight again towards Manifest, ready to take this attack and actually master it. But just as he had reached the ghost, the Gastly stuck his large tongue out and tried licking Speedy. While Speedy was able to dodge Manifest's attack, he also had stopped using Wing Attack, making it not yet completely learned. It makes you wonder just how well it would have gone, and probably irritates you beyond belief. And here you thought that Manuel was trying to be helpful. Perhaps you should just say "Wing Attack" and see what happens, since that's what Manuel apparently wants. After all, how will you know he knows the attack for sure unless he uses it just based on you calling out the name of the attack? Meanwhile, Qwilfish stared balefully at you, Manuel, before basically looking at your Pokémon and rolling his eyes. Wow, this fish has a lot of guts to even think about disrespecting you with an eye roll! Perhaps you should call off your agreement and capture this nasty little fish and make him help you teach Sosogu Aqua Tail. But before you could even truly think about that option, you saw him begin to perform the attack, rising completely to the surface of the water. His tail came up and struck down on top of the water and swung back up again and struck out towards you, unleashing a huge amount of water. It struck you, leaving you soaking wet, and the Qwilfish still just stared at you with basically no interest in his eyes. How rude! Wing Attack - 85% Learned Aqua Tail - 0% Learned, but ya got soaked! |

Manuel's eye twitched as Qwilfish rolled its eyes, he had seriously considered just catching it and selling it to some random fish vendor on the beach. He took the thought from his mind though and watched the Pokémon lift its tail up and then hurriedly slam it down on the water, spawning a great wall of water that immediately soaked Manuel from head to toe. When the water all passed, Manuel stood up and shook his head like a dog letting the water flecks fly all over. "You little bi--" He censored himself before sighing and passing a hand over his face to slap the water off of himself. He put his teeth into a clenched state as he tried to not just go and kick the damned thing before sighing and relaxing some. "Sosogu, seeing as Qwilfish is about three times your size, how about we try something similar to that, only we can add some contest-flare into it?" He said, coming up with a way to make Sosogu use the attack that would be both effective and impressive. "Dive into the water and then eject yourself as quickly as possible to the surface, when you come up out of the water spin around and make it so that your tails are directly below you, and then slam them down on the water. Seeing as you have two tails, I'd think that it's split into a sort of v-like path, but we'll see what happens." He stated, before recieving a nod from Sosogu who then dove into the water. Manuel sighed and turned over to Kitty, "Kitty, I know that you and Speedy wern't planning on Malifest attacking; but in order for you two to perfect the attack, you're going to have to learn to use it while in battle. So, let's do that now." He said as he looked over at Malifest who then disappeared and reappeared at his side. "Kitty Pride, I challenge you to a one-on-one Pokémon battle." |

Kitty was surprised by the sudden turned of events when she saw Malifest attacked Speedy. She understood though what Manuel meant. "Okay Manuel I know what you mean. I accept your challenge," she said. She then looked at Speedy. "Well Speedy lets try this in an actual battle. You will have to know what I'm talking about when I call you to use Wing Attack in battle and this will be the best way to practice it an know how to work with it. So let's do our best and get this attack perfected the best we can. When we succeed at getting you to learn it I'm sure you will be more at ease with it and whenever I get you in a contest and call for you to do that attack you will be able to show off how strong your wings can be," she said. Speedy nodded and face Malifest. He also understood what Manuel was trying to do. He was still trying to help Kitty teach him this attack. "Alright Speedy use Agility as quickly as you can and get close to Malifest. Then use Wing Attack against him. That is what you were doing earlier with your wings. Let's see if you are able to do it okay," Kitty called out. Speedy nodded again and got ready to use Agility and then this attack called Wing Attack. Hoping that he will know what he is doing. Manuel smirked, he looked over at Malifest and he reached for a ball on his belt. "Malifest isn't going to be Speedy's target. Return." He said as Malifest was taken into the orb and he grabbed another, closer to the front of his belt. "Ari, Vitrine! Get Ready and use Defense Curl and then Roll Out!" He ordered as the pokeball erupted open and out came the pink puffball who had just recently evolved, Ari. "Jiggly...PUFF!" She said happily as she put her arms out to her sides and 'flexed' her balloonish muscles. Immediately she tucked in her appendages and prepared for Defense Curl, her eyes locked on the target, Speedy, as she took in the environment and how possible it was for her to do some damage, if she could land the hit of course. |
