Wonderful, wonderful Tohea. First time in the big city, eh? Quite a bit different from old Twinleaf town. Here in Tohea, there wasen't 'the old school-house' or anything like that. This city top-notch when it came to innovations simply because it was the only city in the region that was there soley for trade. As a result, you could check out the boardwalk which is crawling with shops.. and trainers who would like to battle your Pokémon. Or, you could just soak up the sun. The day wasn't humid, nor was it very hot; just sunny. A good day to play with your Pokémon as well. Also it would be nice to note that you're currently by the Pokémon Center which is close to Tohea's beach area by the boardwalk. Other than those few suggestions, you could do any array of things that might be interesting to you. Though, as I mentioned earlier today would be a good day to bring out your Pokémon. I dare say that any Pokémon would enjoy such weather.. except for a Haunter maybe. WELCOME TO TOHEA |

"Well we're finally here. Come on out Speedy," Kitty said throwing her Pokéball in the air to let Speedy her Taillow and her partner on her journey. She knew that Speedy might like being out of his Pokéball and she believed that leaving Speedy out will help strengthening their bond and help to be able to work together. I don't like leaving my first Pokémon in their Pokéballs anyway. Having them out of their balls will help the trainer and the Pokémon to have a stronger bond because they spend a lot of time with each other when the Pokémon are out of their balls, she thought to herself as she waited for Speedy to come out of his ball. Maybe I'll be able to capture some of my favorite Pokémon on my journey too. That will be awesome. What I would really like to have is a Riolu so that I can get a Lucario like my father's, she added to herself. "I don't think we're strong enough to go against the Gym Leader here so we will have to train a lot but we should also work on making some more friends while we're here," Kitty said out loud. She waited for Speedy to come out. She believe that he will here her while he was coming out of his ball. Edited by Trainer Kitten, Jun 25 2008, 06:22 PM.

Speedy flapped his wings smoothly and kept up with you, occasionally gliding on the soft breeze. The beach was well within sight from here but for the moment you wished to stay in this area of the town. Speedy was quite happy to be outside of his pokeball and gave the occasional chirp to let you know. So you were searching for some Pokémon were you? Well by no means would that be an easy feat even though they were to be found nearly everywhere. Speedy then glided to the left of you. It seemed that he had found something. What it was, was a different question and it was up to you to find out the answer. The small bird Pokémon stopped near a full trash can. The stench nearly overwhelming you. Upon closer inspection you could here a rustling. Speedy reacted instinctively and swooped round the back and flushed out what had caused the rustling sound. It was scared and ran to the nearest thing, you hoping that you would make the bad bird go away. Lv.4

"Wow it's a cute Snubble. Speedy you scared her. Snubble it's alright Speedy won't hurt you unless you suddenly attack him or me. He's usually a friendly Taillow. Speedy come here boy. Help Snubble realized that you mean her no harm," Kitty said bending down to Snubble's level and tried to comfort her. I don't think Speedy meant to scare Snubble here. If I'm able to I will get her to join my team. She will be a great friend to have she thought to herself. Kitty was still new about Speedy's feelings right now but she hopes to change that. She smiled a friendly smile at Snubble before she looked over to where she believe Speedy was and smiled joyfully. I'm glad I was able to start with Speedy. He will be a great partner and a wonderful friend. We will just have to work with each other and make sure that we continue to get along as our journey continues. I hope I can get Snubble to join as well she thought to herself once more. |

The Snubbull was a bit puzzled at what you said at first, but it made out the words you were saying and felt a bit safer being near you. It was too young to understand the difference from enemies from friends, so it just took you in as a trustworthy ally and tottered over beside you to tell you that she wanted to come with you. But as they say: "Big surprises come in small packages". And that was exactly the matter at hand when a really rough looking dog with black fur and a skull capped on it's head found this Snubbull interacting with you and barked aggressively. The pink puppy held on to your leg and whimpered fearfully with tears jerking in her eyes. This dog was getting madder with every second that flew by. Speedy was worried about the situation at hand and flew in front of you to confront the enemy himself. Both of them glared each at each other with the same amount of anger (a lot) bursting through the mental waves that sliced through each others eyes. The small, frilly dog was on your side now, that was good. But now you have to deal with this crazy mutt trying to tear it back into shreds. Speedy urged you to give him some tactics now before it did what it had in mind. The Snubbull, surprisingly, was trying to climb onto you and hide in your backpack to escape the devilish dog's piercing eyes. Level 7 ![]() [You have caught 1 Level 4 Snubbull. "Whoa it's a Houndour. Speedy be careful Houndour usually travel in packs but it seems that this Houndour is alone. Houndour is also a Fire and Dark-Type Pokémon so be careful with any attacks it aims at you. First use Focus Energy and then try to use Peck if you are able to. I'll try to keep Snubble safe. We might be able to capture this Houndour hopefully," Kitty said. She then tried to comfort Snubble though she wasn't sure if she will be able to do that with Snubble trying to get into her pack to hide. After I take care of Houndour and hopefully capture him I'll give Snubble a nickname she thought to herself. Once she was sure that Snubble will be alright for now she watch Speedy and the Houndour hoping that Speedy can handle the attacks she asked him to do. This will be an interesting battle since that Houndour looks like it's a little stronger then Speedy but I believe Speedy will surprised me especially if he uses his speed to his advantage she thought once more. She then waited to see if the attacks work and to make sure that she calls in time for Speedy to dodge any attacks that Houndour might use against him. |

Snubbull rumbled around inside your pack terrified by the houndours glaring eyes. The concrete sidewalk now transformed inot an urban battle ground. Speedy swooped at the Houndour and nicked at it's ears numerous times, the houndour got agrovated and shot red hot embers into the air, missing Speedy easily, such nimbleness was a great trait it had as it swooped again, nicking the Houndour time and itme again with great ease. The city streets were all but empty with no traces of human life, urban Pokémon sprawled in this area utilising the place for their own habitat, the sun was setting and it was getting dark, hopefuly you can finish up and get somewhere warm before the night terrors come out. ![]() 39/39 96%![]() 33/33 100%---------------------------- ![]() 39/42 97%

"It's alright Snubble. I won't let Houndour hurt you. Speedy good job at avoiding Houndour's attacks. Keep it up and use Agility follow by Gust if your able to do so. We're going to try to capture this Houndour. Keep on using your nimbleness to avoid any attacks aim at you," Kitty said to her Taillow. It's great that Speedy is able to keep much damaged hitting him but he won't always be able to avoid all attacks I'm sure. But I hope he can avoid most of them she thought to herself. She then watch to see if Speedy's attacks do more damage this time against Houndour. If so she will have to make sure she use the attacks enough to weaken Houndour enough so that she could capture him. "I know you can do it Speedy," she said. I know Speedy can do this and I know he can weaken Houndour enough so that I can capture him. When and if he does I will have one of my favorite Pokémon on my team. Maybe if I'm luckly I will find more of my favorites on my journey with Speedy as my partner she continued to thought to herself. |

Your fiery little bird went into an intense agility and flew at super-sonic speeds throughout the skies! Well, maybe not super-sonic but your bird sure was fast! Speedy was a Pokémon you could be proud of, and thats for sure. Quick as lightning, Speedy was gaining the altitude needed to release a gust attack upon Houndour, and to sucessfully avoid any attacks made from the dark-fire Pokémon. As your Pokémon reached its' pivotal point in the sky, he turned around and began to flap his wings furiously. Suddenly, the wind began to bend and shape to Speedy's will making him its' master. The bird-Pokémon then began to direct the powerful gusts toward Houndour, who by now was angered that he couldn't get a taste of that bird. By this time, Speedy was having trouble controlling the sheer magnitude of the gusts that he was manipulation which allowed the winds to carry him close enough to the ground to get bitten by Houndour. Lucky for you, not much of a bite could be mustered up after that gale. In fact, the dog looked dazed rather than angry now. Just anther round or two, and you would be able to make your capture.. and then perhaps go off searching for that Riolu you've been wanting. Lv.5 33/35 84%(SPD +1) Lv.7 25/39 91%

"Way to go Speedy. Great job with that Gust attack. Try to use another Agility and then be quick with a Peck attack. If we keep this up we may have another friend on our team but first we have to be sure that we weaken him enough before I can try to capture him. Do your best Speedy I know you can do it," Kitty said to her friend. Speedy may be on a lower level then Houndour but that doesn't matter. He's a great friend and a wonderful battler she thought to herself. She then realized that it seems that Snubbull is in one of her extra Pokéballs that she had in her backpack because she couldn't feel her moving around. Then again Snubbull could be just staying very still while the battle was going on who knows. I hope she is alright in there. I just got her but I already consider her as a friend and partner so I don't won't anything bad to happen to her. Hang on girl soon I hope this battle will be over and I will have another Pokémon on my team she thought to herself before she continued to watch the battle wondering how the outcome will be. "Speedy be sure to continue to do your best at avoiding Houndour's attacks okay," she said. |

Be sure to continue to do your best at avoiding Houndour's attacks okay, as you so adequately placed it, was immediately recognized from Speedy as not just an option, but an order. So he faltered in the air for a few seconds, and then came out with a thrust of adrenaline in his eyes. At the same instant Speedy had gone into the third stage of pure speed, the Houndour had increased his attack strength by howling boldly and then took his speed to the second stage with his own boost of Agility. The two played cat and mouse, seeing which one could out last each other with quick wits and quick limbs. With the Houndour nearly at the same rush as Speedy, he wasn't able to detect a weak spot fast enough to dive down and sneak a strike. Unfortunately, the Houndour found the pattern in which Speedy was following in and took that to his advantage. The demonic mutt lashed his head skyward and roared flickers of burning light which caught Speedy by surprise like a barrage of hidden missiles. Eventually, some of the launched embers took down Speedy's right flank and then his left flank, which forced him to make an emergency landing before things got worst. Last thing you wanted was a roasted turkey that you weren't able to savor. Speedy's emergency landing was exactly the opportunity the Houndour needed to have his howl take effect. It surged forward towards Speedy in a mad attempt at colliding with him. But Speedy was smarter than the mangy dog. He whipped himself to the Houndour's side and then jabbed his beak three times into the dog's flesh before having to crash into the sand. The Houndour howled out of pain that time instead of for power. Speedy pulled himself out of the ground and fluffed his feathers so the singed feeling would leave his wings. Lucky break you're having right now with that quick-witted bird. I hope you have a plan for the last round because it looks like you've already secured it. Level 5 14/35 71%[+3 SPD] Level 7 13/39 85%

Speedy is really weak right now. i hope he can handle another attack or we are out of luck at capturing Houndour Kitty thought to herself. "Good job Speedy. I know your tired buddy but we have to keep this up or we'll lose our chance at getting another friend. Just do your best is all I'm asking of you Speedy. Now use Growl and then use another quick Peck attack. I'm sure you can make it through this battle Speedy. Since your tired try to avoid any attacks Houndour sends at you. If you must use Agility but only if you are able to," she said. I hope this will do it. I hope it will weaken Houndour enough so that I can try to capture him. He will be of great help on my journey. Then I can hopefully go in search of Riolu she thought once more. She then turned to watch the battle not knowing what might happen but hoping that it will go good for her and Speedy. If this goes well I will have a Snubble and a Houndour along with Speedy on my team she said and the hope with a small prayer that she will be able to capture Houndour. She got a Pokéball ready to throw at Houndour once she was sure he was weak enough to try and capture. |

As the tiny swallow began to soak in what his trainer ordered, the houndour mutt decided to now take a full on offensive. Barking and growling all in some sort of synchronization as to make himself look bigger, houndour was able to raise his own moral with the attack. That's the first part of the plan, but now that Speedy has been given orders from the boss, it might be just a bit different. Cooing a pleasanter tone, Speedy was actually able to target the enemy houndour head on. The tone which he produced was actually quite cute, but really didn't seem to do much to houndour than lower its raised moral. The dark pokémon was feeling bad about attacking a weaker bird, oh dead, oh dear. After the chirp, Speedy was ready to launch himself full force into the enemy, but was not able to without another complication. Learning from its past mistake, houndour didn't bother to shoot another ember, seeing as it usually ends in a fail. Oh no. Instead, the little dog decided to wait out to the attacked by the enemy, just to see how it would go. Taillow choked a bit, but Kitty's aura of confidence actually made him feel secure enough to smash into the enemy one last time. Starting into the sky, the bird went up as high as the roofs of near by buildings, staging out the attack. He was completely focused on houndour, who was looking straight toward him. Obviously, this was the dark pokémon's power of manipulation. Its tiny little eyes were locked in on the bird who was plotting for the attack. Defenses lowered. Taillow didn't wait anymore. With a bag full of courage, the pokémon began its descent. As it flew downward, time was taking forever for him, but to all others he was simply a blur of red, white, and blue. A it swooped down, the bird glided across the ground, heading right for the feet of the dog. Both pokémon knew this was the weak point of the creature, and both knew that it was perhaps the easiest way to take it out. Speedy ripped across the ground at very high speeds. No, it wasn't anything supersonic but it was clearly faster than the dog could move. Houndour tried best he could to kneel forward, protecting his chest which was his weak point, but the end result was all the same. Speedy crashed into the enemy, leaving a tough bruise dead center in its chest. Good thing Speedy isn't that powerful, otherwise Kitty might have a dead dog on her hands. Seizing the moment, the instinctive actions of the trainer kicked in. She clicked the center button of the red and white sphere she had taken out of her bag, and was now ready to launch it into the fainted dog, capturing it. Pitching the ball straight at the fainted foe, Kitty greatly hoped for a capture at this point. Speeding through the air, the red and white sphere became a blur of red and white as it progressed on toward the enemy. Mid-way, the very advanced device stopped almost too suddenly. It opened, and a gorgeous white light blanketed houndour. Fading back into nothing, the spectacular light became nothing more than a transport between the red and white poké ball, and the little hound who was successfully captured. Wild houndour was defeated. Speedy gained 35 ![]() Wild houndour was caught. Give it a nickname? Y/N |

"All right I capture Houndour. Great job Speedy. You where wonderful," Kitty said before she went over to her friend and gently hugged him, she knew he was injured from the battle. Probably not much but still he was also tired. "I'm so proud of you Speedy," she added praising him. She then pick up the Pokéball that now had the captured Houndour in it an said, "I'm going to call you Pasaer Houndour and don't worry I'm going to get you to a Pokémon Center before I call you out of your ball. Welcome to the team." With Speedy still in her arms Kitty placed Pasaer's Pokéball on her belt before she got the Pokéball that she realized held Snubble. "Terai come on out now girl it's safe," she said calling her out. She then waited for Terai to come out and after she makes sure that she was calm she will call her back in her ball and head for the Pokémon Center so that Pasaer and Speedy can be healed before she starts to head for Route 1. |

The trip to the Pokémon Center was fast, and easy going. Nurse Joy didn't freak out on you like she supposedly did to others. The healing process to no longer than 5 minutes, your pokémon didn't exactly have any particularly dangerous conditions to tend to, which shortened the care time to a very speed amount. Exchanging farewells, you and your pokémon team walked from the Pokémon Center out into the population of Tohea City. Although it is a peaceful city, it's almost over crowded with people, and sometimes pokémon. Today, there wasn't any pokémon to be seen, unfortunately. Walking along, you eventually made your way to the popular exit of Tohea City, Route 1. This route was a very high traffic area, so no doubt trainers were crawling everywhere. A young boy, maybe about five foot tall, probably ten years old, was standing a little off the road, training one of his pokémon. From your vantage point, you could clearly see that he had a Pineco out, but also two poké balls lying on the ground next to his sea-green bag. This trainer, of course, wasn't your only option. Along the road there were defiantly more pokémon, and probably some of them weren't even owned by trainers. There's your chance to build up your team. And remember, you always have the option of moving on to the next town. Your call. Lv.8
