Ryan watched Jason carefully and snickered, realizing that he thought he still only had his Spheal. So he thought that he'd be able to use a high leveled Treecko to wipe out his one and only Pokémon? Well wouldn't Jason be surprised to find out that he didn't have just a Spheal? Perhaps what he should do is just send out all four of his Pokémon and devastate Jason, although he knew that Jason would have at least his Seel too. There was no doubt in Ryan's mind that he would also have a few more Pokémon on his belt. "Alright, I'll take you again, and this time I'll destroy you. DEAD ON!!!" He screamed the code word, hoping to knock Jason off a bit. "Growlithe, this one's all yours!" Ryan let Growlithe out of his Pokeball and smiled at Jason. "Now let's show him that just because he got an easy way out before by just about murdering Slipp doesn't mean he can do it again! I'd be careful though, because Treecko probably has an egg move since his Seel had one." He looked up Treecko's egg moves on his Poketch and shook his head, knowing that a lot of them were powerful. "Just try your best to stay away from him! Use an Agility to raise your speed, and watch closely! Dodge anything that you can, and when you have an open shot, I want you to try to go in and give him a Bite! Make it strong and try to crush bones if possible!" Since Jason wasn't afraid to kill Ryan's Pokémon, then Ryan would be more than happy to seriously harm Jason's. There were times when you had to fight fire with fire, and this was one of them. Plus Ryan had a type advantage here, although the level advantage was definitely in Jason's favor. He hoped that things would work out well though, and he was sure that they would. Now he would have to see if things went differently in this battle than they did in the last one with Slipp against Seel. Edited by DarkSlayer1331, Dec 15 2008, 02:09 PM.

When you screamed the code word, it did scare him a bit. Enough to make him fall into the wall behind him. His treecko shook his head, which caused quite the rebutle from Jason. He said, "Hey, I didn't ask for your two cents." Treecko shrugged his shoulders and turned back to face you. You released your Growlithe, much to Jason's amazement. He was actually anticipating Slipp, so you did catch him off guard. This is definetly good for you. Jason then said, "Alright, use Cut, then Pound." Hmm, it seems someone has been tutoring their Pokémon. Cut isn't all that powerful, but it could do some damage. Your borrowed Growlithe had his orders and moved in. Growlithe concentrated for a few moments as Treecko ran at him, looking to use cut. Growlithe opened his eyes and quickly sidestepped his opponent. Treecko then tried a flip to try and pound with his tail. As the tail hit the floor, Growlithe grabbed ahold of it with a very powerful Bite. Treecko screamed in pain and Jason looked pissed. Not angry, pissed. He probably won't be holding back anymore. After Growlithe got tired of the screaming gecko, he spun around and flung Treecko into a fileing cabinet. Treecko landed with a definite thud on the ground. Growlithe looked happy that he was getting the chance to take down such a bad person and his Pokémon. You always get your man. Well, now. I think it is plain to see that Growlithe has some definite power, and you haven't even broken out his egg move yet! Quite impressive actually. However, your moment of glee was broken by Jason yelling, "Get up, Treecko, your better than that mangy mutt! Use Leer, then Pound it again!" Hmm, someone seems to be losing his cool, but not you. So, what will you retaliate with? Lv. 8 ![]() 41/41 92%(Speed +1) VS. Lv. 10 ![]() 35/45 89%

Ryan couldn't help but snicker at Jason's complete lack of coolness which he had back in the first battle. Clearly Jason was already caught off guard with his surprise towards Ryan's Pokémon choice. He figured that he had been expecting his Spheal, but still, Ryan would have thought that Jason would been a little prepared for almost anything. Obviously that wasn't necessarily the case, and Ryan would have to take this to his advantage for the time being. "Alright Growlithe, that round went pretty well for us! To counter Treecko's upcoming Leer, put your Intimidate ability into effect to lower his Attack! When he comes in with his Pound, keep your eye on him closely, as he can be very acrobatic. Once he's in close, use a Roar to catch him off guard and then if you can use another Bite. If not, wait until you get the chance to hit him hard with Body Slam!" Crossing his arms, Ryan knew that Jason wouldn't be expecting Heat Wave once he told Growlithe to use it. And that would probably devastate Treecko to the point where it'd pretty much close the battle. That's what Ryan wanted anyways, and so he wanted to hold the egg move back until it'd do the most damage. Especially if he could wait for a time that would break Jason's pride just as Jason did to him with Slipp. It would provide Ryan with a lot of satisfaction. He just hoped he'd be able to take care of this before the police came in. Edited by DarkSlayer1331, Dec 15 2008, 09:20 PM.

Well, it seems as though this is your battle to win, depending on what Jason pulls out of his hat next. Jason's Treecko quickly started Leering at your Growlithe. The puppy wasn't fooled and intimidated right back. It looked as though they were back to square one, but I think Intimidate did a little bit more. Now getting thoroughly frustrated, Treecko ran forward for a pound. He jumped into the air and started spinning forward. As he neared his target, Growlithe Roared with all he had. Treecko got spooked and fell flat on his face next to Growlithe. Your puppy then grabbed ahold of Treecko's tail again and chomped down hard. The gecko squeeled in pain and tried flailing to get away. Growlithe wasn't having any of it. He then threw him up into the air, jumped above the grass type and Body Slammed him back to the ground. Growlithe was all smiles sitting on top of Treecko. Jason, on the other hand, looked to be trying to get himself under control, but failing miserably. He said, "Treecko, throw that dog off of you with a Body Slam and then use Absorb to gain some of your health back." Well, he wasn't yelling this time. Although, you could hear some police sirens approaching so it is a matter of time before this little reunion is called off. Care to finish it soon? Ryan bit his lip, wondering how good this round would play out, and in the end he was so incredibly happy. It looked to him like this time Jason was going to be the one to end up taking home an injured Pokémon. At least that's how Ryan wanted it to be, no matter how vicious and cruel that sounded at the moment. Jason deserved every second of torture he got, and if giving it to his Pokémon was the necessary way to do so, then that was fine with Ryan. Some people might be bothered with the fact that they're really tearing apart another person's Pokémon, but Ryan wasn't one of them. What really surprised him was the fact that Growlithe took matters into his own paws and did a three move combo. He had the perfect opportunity to use both a Bite and a Body Slam and he took it, which made Ryan proud. For not using Growlithe before, he sure was doing really well and seemed to know how to make Ryan happy. Ryan hoped that he'd be able to keep him on his team after the arrest, because he just knew that together they'd make a good team. But that was up to the police to decide, and Ryan really couldn't do much more than show them that they make a good team. "Alright, since you're on top of Treecko, let's end this! Press all your weight onto the Treecko and don't let up! I don't want him to be able to toss you off of him and I don't think he'll be able to if you resist hard enough. Before he even has a chance to do anything, Bite down on him hard and hold it there. At the same time, I want you to power up your egg move, Heat Wave. Once you're at full power, release it hard onto Treecko! In order to do the most damage, I want you to have your mouth around Treecko's neck. The Bite there mixed with the Heat Wave should end this!" Smirking, Ryan glared at Jason with a look of someone dealing out some justice, vigilante style. "Do you like it rare or well done? I'm so hoping you prefer it to be black, because that's just how you're going to get it." Yeah, he might sound cocky, but he was ready for something to go wrong. He really just wanted to make Jason feel the way he had felt back during their last battle. Weak and helpless. There's nothing better than serving out a dish of vengeance... cold. |

Now, now. Lets not get too hasty. This is still Jason your dealing with. The one who nearly murdered your first Pokémon. Just remember, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Dwell on that for a bit before you end this battle. It might come in handy. Besides, you don't want to be known as a murderer, do you? Do you? Growlithe barked, signifying that he understood what you wanted. He spread himself out, holding down Treecko's arms and legs. Treecko tried to grab your dog, but found himself unable. Directly after that failed attempt, Growlithe lunged for the Bite around the neck. Treecko tried to get out of the way, but couldn't. The green gecko was in an even worse position now than he was before. And squriming made it even worse with those teeth. Your dog then charged up Heat Wave as much as possible. Just about the moment he was going to release the attack, Treecko used Absorb to zap a few HP. It delayed the attack for about a second but Growlithe released the Heat Wave anyway. Treecko screamed in pain and had the slim moment to escape your dog's grasp. Treecko returned to Jason, who looked like he had a cross between anger and awe on his face. The gecko looked finished, but then he started to glow green and Jason smiled. He said, "Ah, it seems as though Overgrow has taken effect. Well now, shall we clean up Treecko?" Treecko nodded and got into a fighting stance. He said, "Good, then finish them both with Leaf Storm." Treecko then started glowing an even fiercer green. Hmm, it doesn't look like you have very long to come up with something here. One big attack should be just enough to finish this up for you. I mean, just look at the stats! Just, hurry. It seemed to be even clearer that Growlithe was both in sync with Ryan and that he was bred to be a battler. Between his egg move and the way he battled, Ryan would consider him an assassin among Pokémon. That is, if he ever took it it in his hands to become an assassin and use Growlithe for just that. However, he still wasn't given Growlithe yet, although he was certain that after this he would get it. After all, they were battling really well together, and putting himself up against Jason yet again took some balls. Especially when it was right in Jason's headquarters in Hurst City, where nothing seemed to be all puppies and rainbows. Once Treecko had been pulverized to just about death, Ryan decided that he didn't want to sink down to Jason's level. Instead, he'd just take things the way that they should be taken and just knock this little grass ninja thing out. Now that Overgrow was activated, Ryan knew that grass moves would do more damage than normal. Leaf Storm was an egg move that Ryan was kind of prepared for Treecko to have, which is one of the reasons for increased speed. All Ryan had to do now was finish this off with his own epic strategy, and he had the perfect idea. When you're going to get leaves thrown at you, what better to do than burn them? "Now Growlithe! Another one of your devastating egg move, Heat Wave! If Treecko is even able to pull off his own egg move, the leaves will be burnt to a crispy black and leave Treecko with a nice fiery path of DOOM!" Ryan locked eyes with Jason, knowing full well that for Treecko to be able to pull off a Leaf Storm, he'd have to do the same thing that Growlithe did with Heat Wave: concentrate and take some time preparing for it. He was sure that this was the end for one of them, and it all came down to speed for Ryan, which he was sure he had enough of. After all, since Growlithe pulled off the move once before, Heat Wave should come off a lot faster for him. One could only hope so at a time like this. Smiling, Ryan lifted his chin to show Jason that he was no longer scared of what he could do, because in the end, every man had his day. And every criminal would eventually be caught in one way or another, and Ryan was almost positive that this time would be it for Jason. Edited by DarkSlayer1331, Dec 20 2008, 02:30 PM.

The cops finally showed up, as you could tell by the sirens coming from the door. Jason's workers were scrambling, and Jason looked to be getting nervous. There could be sounds of gunfire echoing from the large storage portion of the warehouse. By the way it sounded, the police had everything undercontrol out there. You could also hear some of Jason's men getting read their rights. So now, it's time to take down the boss. Treecko was still glowing a violent green, and after hearing your request for Heat wave, Growlithe started glowing a redish orange. The police then opened the door to Jason's office to find the heated battle between the two of you. Jason, realizing he was finished, yelled, "TREECKO, HIT THEM ALL!!! Treecko then released a giant mass of leaves, all sharp as knives, spinning all over the room, some toward the cops, but most toward you and Growlithe. Luckily, Growlithe was fully prepared to use Heat Wave, launched it in one giant blast. The leaves that hit the massive heat turned black and fell to dust, but the wave kept going across the room. More and more leaves crumpled to dust, until it finally made it to Treecko. The gecko tried blocking the Heat Wave with more leaves, but they too found themselves black and useless. Treecko was sent flying into Jason and the two of them ended up going into the wall. Jason tried to get up, but found himself unable and passed out. Congradulations, you have finally beaten him. The police at the door looked amazed by your capture and proceded to arrest Jason, leading him and his Pokémon out of the office. The one remaining officer then addressed you, saying, "Good job. We couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you." Growlithe figured that you two would be seperated now, but looked up at the officer and whined before jumping up at your leg. The police officer seemed to understand and said, "Well, I was told that if this borrowed Growlithe wanted to stay with you, I shouldn't intervien. So, I'll just have to tell the Wayford chief to get a new Growlithe. Congradulations, kid. You have a strong fighter there." The police officer then left the room, half expecting you to follow, but you don't have to. You are now free to travel where you will with your new friend Growlithe. Your life is now up to you again. Growlithe gained 100 raising him to level 9.

Ryan's eyes widened as he heard the police arrive, and he knew that this couldn't turn out good for them. His eyes shifted between the Pokémon and Jason, wondering how Jason was going to try to get out of this one. Once Treecko's attack started, Ryan realized what would happen, and when he heard Jason's command, he immediately looked at Growlithe. The dog let out the blast of Heat Wave, and all of the leaves that were spiraling around were burnt to a crisp black powder. In the end, Treecko and Jason were up in the wall, and Ryan remained victorious. Once Jason was arrested, the remaining officer congratulated him on the success of the capture as well as left Growlithe with Ryan. Happy, Ryan knelt down and pet Growlithe on the head, deciding to name him Blaze. Blaze nuzzled Ryan's leg, and looking up at the officer, he saw that he was leaving in a manner that suggested he expected Ryan to follow him. Smiling, Ryan got up and returned the fire dog, laughing at the idea of following another police officer somewhere. The last thing he wanted was to be sent to do something else for them. Something that seemed like months was finally over, and now Ryan could do whatever he wanted, and right now, he wanted to train. It was time that he got Phanpy up a couple of levels, and he wasn't going to do that by running around for the cops all of the time. Well, he could, but it wouldn't be trained as fast as if he just went from person to person battling freely. Happy to be free, Ryan stretched and walked out of the headquarters and started on his way to the middle of the city. Instead of looking for a person to battle, Ryan figured that he'd try to find a wild Pokémon for Phanpy to battle, because it'd probably be easier for her. And maybe Ryan would also teach her a move, although he wasn't sure if he should right now. Perhaps after a battle he'd figure out if he wanted to or not. So, looking all around, up and down alleys, Ryan searched for an opponent for Phanpy. One that she wouldn't have too hard of a time fighting, but one that would get her up to Level 5. |

Hmm, not sure what to do with all of your free time, now, are you? Well, it looks as though the police have taken care of everything else around here. Jason's goons are under arrest and the police are cleaning up the mess. You then take your leave from the warehouse, heading down the street to where ever you want. Isn't it great? You then go walking down the street. In the distance is a Pokémon Center, somewhere you ought to head soon. Slipp is still injured, so that might be a good choice. But first, you need to find an opponent for your Phanpy. Well, speak of an opponent, look what just walked out from behind a trash can... a Rattata. Good luck. Lv. 5

I'll do my best to work with that incredibly short ref, because I know Racer really does his best. Hey, he basically did what I wanted anyways, giving me a Pokémon for me to defeat with Phanpy and raise her level. Of course I'll have to make sure to do my best and actually defeat the Rattata, which could be difficult. So let's get back to Ryan and what it is that he's going to do to make sure that he wins this battle. Letting Phanpy out in front of Rattata, Ryan began to think hard of a way for him to set up this battle. He really wanted Phanpy to be successful and win so that she could level up, because he really wanted a Donphan. Of course he knew that they didn't learn very many moves of their own type, ground, but for some reason he liked them. Perhaps it was the love of elephants that he had inherited from his grandmother. She had a cabinet filled with ceramic and glass figurines of elephants, and if he remembered correctly, a crystal set of elephants. "Okay Phanpy, this is going to be a little difficult for us, but I'm sure that we can do it! Let's start this off with a Growl to lower Rattata's attack, and then a Defense Curl to raise your Defense. At the same time, keep your eyes out for an attack by Rattata, and if you can, try to roll out of her way. I know this is a defensive tactic, but until I can come up with a really good combo, I think that doing some stat work will be to our advantage!" At least Ryan hoped that it would, because he really did want this win, and more importantly, he wanted Phanpy to feel good about herself. If he wanted his Pokémon to be successful in the future, then he had to help raise their self esteem. When Slipp lost his first battle, he knew that it crushed him, and if it weren't for his win against the Arcanine, he was sure that it would have been scarring. He just wanted it to be different for Phanpy. |

The purple rat regarded you and your Phanpy with annoyance as you summoned your elephant Pokémon to do battle with the rat Pokémon. Ironically both of them were around the exact same size, but by technicality the rat happened to be stronger. Being a wild Pokémon, the rat was exactly use to hearing a human's voice which can probably account for the fact that it bared its fangs menacingly and growled(not the move) at you and your Phanpy. It was apparent that he was trying to scare you and your elephant away from the area in order to avoid a confrontation that it had the possibility of losing. But of course you knew better than to let a 2 ft mouse boss you around. Phanpy would of course rise to the challenge except wait.. you couldn't think of an offensive strategy yet. Good thing you had a defensive strategy in mind. And you quickly ordered your Pokémon to perform growl. The sound waves were so great that they interrupted Rattata's bite that it was just about to perform on Phanpy. Whew, you dodge a bullet from those probably diseased teeth. With that blow dodged, Phanpy performed a defense curl and promptly wrapped its entire body in a ball defensively. Excellent. Rattata, angered that it had not been able to score a direct hit on your Pokémon charged at Phanpy with a bloody rage. Unfortunetly for Phanpy it could not avoid the righteus onslaught of Rattata, but sadly for the rat charging full force into a defensively inclined ground Pokémon wasn't the smartest idea and it took some serious damage for its folly. Dumb rats. Level 5 25/35 80%VS Level 4 30/33 90%

((OOC: Car forgot to put the stat changes under the Pokémon)) Ryan stared at the Rattata for a moment, completely in awe over the rat's incredible stupidity. They weren't wrong when they said that wild Pokémon really couldn't battle as well as they could if they had a trainer. Maybe that was why they loved having trainers a lot, because they could help them reach their max potential. No matter what the reason was, Ryan knew that with this slight upper hand, he could possibly lead Phanpy to a faster victory. Speed was going to be a problem though, since the little elephant didn't have a whole lot of it. Agility would definitely be needed to at least make Phanpy quick enough to do something other than growl and roll around in a ball. Of course that was going to be part of his next tactic anyways, though in the form of a Tackle. "Alright Phanpy, you did a really good job! With that tough hide of yours, you shouldn't be getting too hurt any time soon. Now what I want you to do is increase your speed with an Agility. Then I want you to curl up into a ball again, but instead of using Defense Curl, you're going to roll around on the ground. Once you're able to get yourself stable, I want you to roll yourself as fast as you possibly can towards Rattata. Use a Tackle attack while you're in that ball to do the most damage possible to that little rat! It should be significant if all goes well!" This was definitely going to be interesting, even if it didn't work out perfectly. But Ryan thought that with the increased speed, Phanpy could hit Rattata, and hopefully being in the ball would increase the power of the move considerably. He really wanted to end this battle as quickly as possible with a win. If all went well, once he healed his Pokémon, he may even go and try to find a trainer to battle. After all, if Phanpy can dish out a move like that, then all of his Pokémon would be capable of taking care of themselves. |

Trying to teach your Pokémon a move eh? Guess I turned up to ref you at just the right time huh? You see, only us God-like staff members can help you in achieving your teaching of a move to your Pokémon. In retrespect it also seems somehow pleasing to me that you have come up with such a clever technique at combining two defencive moves to produce an offencive one. Phanpy looked confused at first, but she could see where you were going with this. It was almost like a Phanpy's signature move, so she knew exactly what she was suspost to do. She turned away and looked at the purple Rat opposite, knowing she had to hurry up and do this because it was already running at her, flashing its horrible yellow teeth. With a swift move of the legs Phanpy was off, speeding at an usually fast pace towards Rattata, they almost looked asif they were going to hit head on, until Phanpy jumped slightly, and landed in a defence curl, still rolling with the speed she had conjured up from Agility. Rattata noticed what was happening and tried to stop herself. She skidded, and then tried to jump to her left, but her back legs were crushed by Phanpy's attempt at a rollout. She screemed out in pain and scurried to a distance in a panic, as Phanpy turned around still rolling, but the rolling began to slow down and eventually she was left lieing on the ground. Well, she pulled it off, sort of. The only thing she needs to sort out is keeping up the momentum needed of the sole purpose for a rollout. Lv. 5 20/35 75%(attack -1) Vs. Watching the planned move being executed, Ryan realized that without meaning to, he was teaching Phanpy Rollout. Biting his lip, he hoped that it would work, and he saw that it was working, and pretty well too! Unfortunately, Rattata was able to jump out of the way enough to only get her back legs hit. However, when Phanpy tried turning, she ended up slowing down and came to a halt, lying flat on the ground. She got up and gave Ryan an apologetic look, but Ryan just grinned and shook his head. "That was excellent Phanpy! I didn't realize that I was actually teaching you a move. But what you just did was the first part of Rollout. You actually picked up on it rather quickly, building up the speed and jumping into a Defense Curl. When you use Defense Curl first, that actually increases the power of the move, and as you keeping attacking, you should be going faster and faster to smack into your opponent harder and harder. Now I know that you couldn't keep going, but don't worry about that, I'll help you out there." Frowning, Ryan thought up of how to go about getting Phanpy to keep up her speed and actually increase it. Thinking back on his past experiences as a trainer, he remembered once when a Pokémon used it on one of his Pokémon. If he remembered correctly, it had jumped up into the air to increase its speed and come back down, faster than before. Every time it hit Ryan's Pokémon, it would go past a little bit and jump again, and it did this three times until finally Ryan was able to stop it. So that was what Ryan was going to tell Phanpy to do, and hopefully this would get it right. "Okay Phanpy, throw yourself into the air again and come down with a Defense Curl. This time, when you hit Rattata, don't immediately start to turn, because that will actually slow you down. Instead, keep going for a tiny bit more and then force yourself up into the air again with a lot of speed. You should come back down faster than before and hit Rattata with more power because of it. Keep doing this as many times as you can, and that is the mechanics of the move Rollout!" Smiling, Ryan bit his lip again, which seemed to be a little quirk of his during a Pokémon battle or any time he had to think somewhat. Now he just had to see how things would work out. |
