This thing is easier to manipulate than I previously thought. Maybe I do have a higher chance of being victorious! No, I have to keep things down to regular confidence. Don't overdo it, Tony. Don't overdo it. I just didn't expect it all to sew itself into place so seamlessly. Both Ariana and Eevee just had everything at the right momentum as well as the right quality of control. Even though they are much more tired than the Absol is right at this instant, I'm sure that they will be the ones looking down at their enemy. I was in such a rush to beat up this Pokémon that I almost forgot the reason why I was here: to retrieve that wallet and return it the businessman down the block. Question is, where the hell is he and what is taking him so damn long to get here and help me out? Although... If the guy doesn't come and I don't ever see him again, I could take his money and use it for myself! A bit unethical for me to do such a thing like stealing, but the man is taking much too long to get here. I hope he's lost cause there seems to be a lot of cash flowing in those short but sharp saber tooth fangs. Lest he does get here, I would really appreciate the compensation for the work I got into this and maybe revealing the secret of what's behind that wooden door. Cole and Ariana are practically speed demons now that they've hyped up and the adrenaline in their veins is pumping like crazy. Their plans to dodge and evading are just about fool-proof and I'll be able to have them annihilate this monster for good. But at the same time I have to teach Cole Quick Attack before the battle concludes. My mind whirred and buzzed searching for methods of teaching Cole Quick Attack and gutting the Absol and then an imaginary light bulb pinged above my head with the final results dancing on my tongue ready to jump out and explode with instructions. I examined the debris and used trash laying around to the side of the path and found a way to use them in my experiment. "Cole, Ariana, kick up some dirt. Cole will be running in place with his hind legs producing handful after handful of dust into the air for a perfect Sand Attack. Cole will then cover his eyes while you, Ariana, will beat your wings as hard as you can do so and perform a Gust to knock around the trash into a small storm of flying crap. The dust will mix with the garbage and temporarily blind the Absol, I'm planning. "When the debris clears out and the Absol is just about frustrated with trying to wipe off the crap in it's eyes, Cole will bend his legs readying his target at the Absol and push off into a raging bullet and smack the Absol wherever he lands. If this works, we'll be able to make this dog cry and beg for mercy before us." Cole and Ariana smirked at the thought of a Pokémon of such magnitude begging for forgiveness at their feet/talons. They both willingly accepted and got into their battle positions. I pulled out my Go-Goggles and strapped them on to see through the dust and shout GO!!! and have Cole pierce through the Absol like Anger and a stubborn child. |

A flawless plan indeed, if the Absol hadn't wizened up to you enough by now. As Cole started kicking at the crap on the ground in a Sand-Attack attempt, the Absol went "Ab-sollll..." in a sing-song voice, and then began mimicking your Eevee. It then started doing ridiculous impressions of Cole, eventually making the little furball pretty ticked off, stopping the Sand-Attack completely. In short, the Eevee had just fell for a Taunt. Garbage or no garbage, this didn't stop Ariana from still using Gust in the Absol's direction. Hooting indignantly at Cole's mistreatment, she sent a small whirlwind spinning towards the Absol with a flutter of her wings. Growling, the Absol used Agility to narrowly dodge the move, the Gust harmlessly floating past him. Cole was now very angry, and pushed off by using his power fromAgility and then Tackled towards Absol. The move would've hit wonderfully if the Eevee hadn't been so reckless and angry; Yet, the Absol grinned and merely jumped over the rushing Eevee, who misjudged his speed. Quite before the little Eevee knew what was happening, he had crashed into the wall. Ouch. So...Still as confident as you were before? I'd rethink a few things, since this Absol is starting to get smart. Lv. 10 29/45 76%(Speed +2) VS Lv. 6 33/37 68%(Speed +2) Lv. 8 33/41 65%(Speed +4) (Is under the effects of Taunt) Quick Attack Learned: 80% |

Bah, what disappointing luck! I just got my ass handed to me by some stray cat. Yeah, that was quite the piss off I hadn't expected, but it was me getting in over my head that got me into the trouble I am in now. Losing your head to pride will make you fall into the seven deadly sins and I gave in unintentionally. Well, no more of that. Cole is just nearly a few steps away from getting the attack he needs to finish the beast off. But, while I have the chance right now, I thought up of something with a bit less thinking than I was hoping to get. But after thinking it through, the first method I was going to suggest to myself had a few too many flaws to beat. Cole and Ariana faltered after I made a roll call and scurried/flew on back to my side of the playing field. So the garbage twister operation wasn't successful. Big deal. The clock's still ticking and I have all day to gut the bowels out of the city scavenger. I felt like doing that, but the fact that those big, sharp claws and that ferocious head blade would probably make human sushi out of me, I decided to leave it to the advanced combatants. Cole's teeth were still gritting against each row those pearly fangs and his mind was focused all on one thing: to see through the demise and obliteration of the one called Absol without any stopping. And with those thoughts were reckless muscles ready to make themselves pull off and destroy every nervous system before the Absol came in and took it's free meal. Luckily my dad taught me the hard way to get a soldier back into your command and not the devious Anger that corrupts it. I stamped my foot onto the ground. Hard. "COLE!" I boomed. Cole yelped and leaped up in surprise of my most sudden act of communication he experienced so far with me. "Cole, do you want to kill this son-of-bitch?" Cole didn't know what a "bitch" was, but he knew by the furrowed scowl stemming above my eyes, it must have been something insulting. "Good. Now if you want to kill this thing without having yourself get ass-raped, you're going to listen to me and not that god damned bastard dictator called Anger, capiche?" And yet again, Cole didn't much of what I said, but he allowed his head to bob with excitement and exhilaration as I spoke. "Alright, then you will have to drop the menacing act of being your enemy's pet. Stop going in without a plan or else I'll have to throw you into the Mirage Sea to the north and let you burn there. In the past minutes, I've been trying to teach you a very tactical move known as Quick Attack. You are nearly complete with the training. There is just one thing left before you will be able to fully understand the strategic abilities this move has to offer, if you can take it." Cole's ears perked up and he nodded vigorously to know what he was supposed to do to earn his right to this method of battle. "I want you to put everything you have learned into the next move you make. Speed, strength, accuracy, timing, and bewildering the opponent. To get all these attributes of the attack right, you'd better listen to what I have to say next. Boost yourself with one last Agility and move quickly toward the Absol in a zig-zag to gain a mass amount of speed and bewilder the opponent in which direction you're going to attack in. "Keep doing this and take a good idea of where you will need to place yourself as soon as you find an open area like one of the Absol's sides. Ariana will be overhead distracting the Absol with loud Growls and another barrage of Pecks. While she is doing that, keep running in nonidentical patterns to throw off the Absol. When you find the opening after timing yourself, going on either side of the Absol and leap right into it's body for the last step: The strength of Tackle. "I cannot promise you that all of this will have you into the attack, but at least you will understand it and I'll be able to teach you anyways when this battle is finished. You guys ready?" After the long lecture and the short motivational speech, the two warriors took their positions and locked into their target. I've sealed up most of the gaps. Now to see whether or not this monster can open one up. |

During your whole speech, the Absol had given himself over to boredom. Now, he was merely ignoring your words as he sat down on his hind haunches and merely yawned. Yet, he kept a close watch on you and your Pokémon, not willing to let his guard down. Yet, he was unprepared for Ariana to come charging forward and start off with a Growl. Snorting in rage as the attack came into effect, the Absol leaped up at the owl that was hovering right above his head and attempted to Bite her. Yet, Ariana dodged this and, just out of reach, started Pecking at the white brute's head. Snorting his rage, the Absol started swinging at your starter with his paws, trying to get her away from him. During this time, Cole had used another Agility. This didn't raise his speed since he was at his max, but it helped to keep his speed up; in short, the Eevee was starting to tire. Focusing, he zigzagged around the distracted Absol, searching for an opening. Spotting the beast's exposed right flank, Cole concentrated all of his speed into the Tackle that he was now performing. Growling, he Tackled towards the Absol and managed to land a hit on the surprised dog. Cole successfully learned Quick Attack! Yelping in surprise, Absol was sent skidding backwards a few feet. Regaining its footing before it crashed into a wall, the beast swaggered upward, glaring at all three of you. It was tired of playing games by now. God, teaching this crap is so hard on the throat. I don't see why teachers can't get a higher salary for doing this sacrifice. Oh yeah. Cause most of the education boards across Earth have lousy instructors. I massaged my throat after that long lecture about such and such and gave Cole and Ariana the thumbs up complete with a proud grin. They grinned back and Eevee dug his paws into the ground saying thanks for the lesson. I guess listening to shit like that isn't as useless as I thought. The Absol's death glare toward me and my team was a fierce one, but I wasn't one to give in and run. As long as we're still standing and alive, I refuse to give up without a reasonable circumstance. But with what the odds are right now, I think that that opportunity maybe closer than I expected the few turns. Cole's feet were trembling with nervous anticipation. The messages in those deep, black eyes glaring down Cole was enough for him to stop from reading the hate mail being sent into his inbox. Ariana wasn't as injured and as collapsed as her teammate so she wasn't as frightened. My thoughts were to keep Cole out of the battle from now on, but he still looked like he still had a lot of blaze left in him to make a few more marks on the prey's flesh. After he gets in on the attack one last time, I should probably call him back to my side and see how Ariana works alone against the demon. "Ok, guys, here's our battle play: Cole will go in first with a glowing skull full of concentrated energy, in other words, a Skull Bash and attempt to be fast enough to just evade Absol's swift and reckless attacks. If it makes contact with the Absol, and with it's Adaptability bonus, then the attack will be near fatal giving Ariana the point to win. If none of that happens, then whatever you do, retreat and ONLY retreat, understand Cole? Cole had no objections as to the fact of his exhaustion. "Cole will get back here which means you, Ariana, will take the rest of the battle on your own, unless I wish to call Cole out again." Ariana gulped with concern for her skin, but knowing Tony, denying his orders would've ended as sure fatal. "Cole will take the sidelines and cheer you on with Helping Hand. Listen to his movements and his words and you'll be hyped up without fear. Just breathe in slowly and put on your game face. C'mon, GRRRR!!! Great! That's perfect! Now for your strategy. Use Agility to speed yourself up, just how I like it. Then make yourself into a diving bomb and plummet right down at the Absol. But the target here isn't to make contact with the Absol but to gain altitude. "Right before you're about to crash, pull yourself rocketing into the air. Get yourself perched on top one of the building edges and then, well, here is the part where you may have to try hard unless you already have it covered. Perch by the side and them crap random droppings onto the Absol. I really don't know what I'm doing, but maybe we can blind it if the crap gets on bulls-eye." Ariana was now freaked at where I was going. She tried reasoning with me, but as always, I didn't understand Pokémon language spoken through the beak. I planned to try and make the thing go blind and then attacking it by grabbing one of the trash cans I saw earlier and whacking it onto the Absol. But I ditched the idea and just went ahead with having Ariana use a Skull Bash in case it miraculously works. It's a crappy idea, but it matches the theme so well. |

(@ the first italicized paragraph: Couldn't be more true) Bowing his head, Cole started forward with a Skull Bash. Surprisingly, the Absol didn't move at first; then, the great white creature bent his head back, his black sickle lighting up. Flinging his head and the sickle forward, the glowing part of the sickle went hurling towards Cole just as he was ready to impact the Absol. The blow not only knocked Cole out of his attack, but it knocked him right into you. Toppling to the ground, you and Cole would definitely feel some bruises later. How would you know that someone had taught the thing Razor Wind early? Staying true to your orders, Cole stayed away from the battle (reluctantly) and let Ariana take control. He then started using Helping Hand by dancing and cheering on the spot, causing both him and Ariana to glow with a faint white light. Hooting in pleasure at her added strength, your Hoothoot started rocketing around with another Agility. Snorting, the Absol didn't dare use an Agility for fear of exhausting himself. Instead, he crouched down, ready to use Scratch if necessary. Ariana came diving down, and the Absol raised his paw in preparation to attack. Yet, Ariana righted herself at the last second and zoomed up to one of the buildings that housed the alley. Perching on a gutter, she eyed her prey, took aim, and...fired. *SPLAT!* Absol, amazed, stood absolutely dumbfounded as the...dropping...hit him right between the eyes. Emitting a cry of surprise as a small shower of poop started covering most of his face, he scuttled away from Ariana's lovely bombs. Taking her chance, the Hoothoot used the Absol's distraction to zoom in with her own Skull Bash. Nailing the Disaster Pokémon right in the ribs, Absol was sent flying into a small pile of garbage. How's that for "showing it"? Still, you may want to end this quickly. Your Pokémon were getting pretty tired. Oh, damn it! That thing knows freakin' Razor Wind? Man, I so wish that thing was wild now... but I hadn't expected the sudden shredding of the blade version of Sonic Boom. If I had Cole go in further, he might have been injured much worst than he is now. Both Cole and Ariana were breathing unevenly: one having their insides burning with pain and the other getting a sore throat from cheering so much on the sidelines. I knew they were pooped (the pun was unnecessary, I know) but I began to lighten them up with something that seemed to brighten their entire day. "It's ok, guys. If we make the finale great, the blast that we land on this insistent monster will be the reward of our victory. Keep your eye on the prize." The eye on the prize. That was my dad's favorite motto. He had taken a liking to it and emblazoned it onto a plaque which is now hanging beautifully in the Silph Corporation's Ghost Epidemic Attainment Reestablishment (G.E.A.R) wing. That statement of motivation was what got me going on dedicating my life to securing the lives of innocent people from the terribly dying in the clutches of evil apparitions. Cole wasn't as motivated with this statement since he use to be a stray and has never heard of it but Ariana had always been given this short bit of advice from her original owner and kept it in her heart to live by it as well. She jerked her head in a forceful nod by my short praise and did it was honor as she glared at the prize cluttered beneath a load of trash. For me to assure our supremacy over the Absol, I had to give the final commands for Cole and Ariana to go berserk on this menace but without making it go unconscious if it gives in to the barrage too easily. The plan was easy, something simple, something sleazy; It was inching at the edge of reserve. (This is failure as a play-on-words.) "Assume the positions. Now, both of you, take off in blast of speed. Cole will take off with the Quick Attack that he had learned earlier and just slam himself into Absol. Chamber your foot position if it dodges and you near a wall. Rotate direction and use another Quick Attack if the Absol evades your first one. When Cole takes down the Absol or tries to after those two attacks, you, Ariana, will rev-up with Agility and again use Tackle. "If you miss, you miss. I do not want to exhaust your engines. But landing a hit otherwise, you must follow it up with jab after jab of Peck until the thing faints. Last try, guys. Don't use every ounce of energy you have left on this one because we cannot risk the entire thing going into waste. Just do your best and make a heavy mark. Remember: Keep your eyes on that freakin' prize." |

Groaning in pain, the Absol scrabbled out of the garbage pile in which he was confined. Shaking the remaining debris from his shaggy coat, he started off by using an Agility of his own. Yet, he was hardly a match for Cole, as the Eevee charged forward with his own Quick Attack. Batting Cole away with one of his paws, the Absol barely had time to breathe before the slightly surprised Eevee was able to regather himself and change direction. Absol was then slammed from behind by the Eevee, and he slid to the ground, barely able to get back up on his legs again. Such a hardy Pokémon...shame you couldn't catch it. Taking over for the coughing Cole, Ariana combined an Agility with a Tackle of her own. Zooming at breakneck speed towards the Absol, she barely had time to register that the white dog had let loose another Razor Wind. Yet, her speed allowed her to charge right through the attack and to keep going. Ariana sustained a lot of damage, but she was able to deliver a fatal Tackle. With a final groan, Absol sank to the ground, now down for the count. Ariana gained 45 and grew to Level 7!Cole gained 50 !Now, let's see...where did the grungy thing stow that wallet?...Oh yes, it had dropped it before confronting Ariana near the battered wooden door at the end of the alley. That hadn't been too hard, but why hadn't someone come to "claim" it? Suddenly, you heard a hoarse, coughing voice from beyond the door ask, "Erebus?...Is that you?" Underneath what sounded like sickness, you could hear the voice of a young girl of about twelve or thirteen. Your assumptions were correct. A ghostly pale girl weakly staggered out from beyond the door, wearing slightly torn jeans and a worn gray shirt. She had no shoes, and sickly blue eyes looked out from matted, filthy locks of brown hair. Taking in the scene, she gave a short cry of surprise, ran over to the downed dog, and buried her face into his mane. "How could you?" her voice filtered out, muffled by the fur. She was shaking, although that may have been from cold more than anything. "Why did you hurt Eree?" Confused? Stumped? Nobody would blame you. |

God, I don't know whether or not I should be either pleased or just missing something. Cole and Ariana won the battle, that was pleasing. But I'm really missing what the hell that Absol is still suppose to be. The voice in my head was right. I was just getting through with the fact of what had just happened and who this girl was. It was easy to tell her occupation that she was the one behind the scheme, or was it just the cat? I gazed dumbfounded at the poorly dressed girl (I wasn't as neat as her, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining) with no confidence in which to respond to her question. But I regained my voice after I had both Cole and Ariana back in the safety of their pokeballs. I knelt down beside the wallet, picked it up and slid it into my breast pocket, and then stayed there with my brain trying to wire the right words in an adequately formed line. "I'm very sorry I had to do that to your pet, er, Eree, but it's my job to capture perpetrators who tend to pickpocket city folk. I see that you live in a very..." the words didn't spring onto my tongue as fast as I hoped, "shriveling condition. But even so you cannot have your pet spawn other people's fortunes because of your own misfortune." I tried to think of something that would give the girl some trust in me and then lied, "I'm a cop. I know I don't look like one, but I am certified. The reason I had to do that to your friend here is because he just so happened to attack a businessman and nab his wallet. I must return it to him since he must be worried sick about his identity being stolen." I was kind of a cop, if you think about my work at Silph. I'm trying to eliminate a problem that is killing innocent people, so I guess I could pass that. But the only papers I have that could show that I was a common policemen was a forged I.D. card I made back in Kanto. I had to think even faster so I don't get searched and given my Miranda rights by a real copper. "If you want, ma'am, I can supply you with a new wardrobe you can borrow and get your Pokémon recovered in the Pokécenter up the street. I'm not sure if it was either you or your pet who was the mastermind of this unacceptable plot, but you have to take care of him more responsibly. Now, would you like to come with me or will I have to rat you out the department?" I was a bit nerdy due to the years of computer time I shared, but my dad got me in at least an average physical condition if I ever needed it. Looks like my common bulk might come in handy now. But that will depend on whether I can get to the Pokécenter without being mauled or distracted again. At least the Absol's down or else it would've been even uglier, to say the least. |

The girl bowed her head a little and spoke up. "I'm terribly sorry. Erebus was just trying to help me out. He's my only Pokémon, and...*cough*...I was robbed a few months ago. I'm not that great around people, so I decided to stay on my own. I never asked him to steal anything, but he must've thought that it was the best thing." At this, the Absol faintly stirred and licked her cheek while throwing a reproached look in your direction. Apparently, the white dog didn't approve of interference from outsiders. Perhaps the reason of stealing the money had been to supply the girl with a means to provide food...and medicine. She could probably use a doctor by now; she was coughing pretty badly. The embarrassment of not having a decent wardrobe or money to offer when battling had probably kept her away from people. That, and she seemed naturally shy. Anyway, knowing why she hadn't went and stayed at a Pokémon Center was beyond you, unless she didn't realize how close she really was to one. Perhaps the Center was often crowded as well... Finally, she caved in. "I guess you can take us to the...Center," she stated weakly, and then staggered to her feet. She pulled out a slightly rusty Pokeball and recalled Erebus, and then walked a few paces before entering a violent coughing fit and staggering to the ground. By how this girl was going, she was going to need a hospital pretty soon. Well...For Pete's sake, help her! After this business, you could try to find the owner of the wallet and return it to him. But first, help the half-dead damsel, unless you just leave her to die...but that wouldn't look well for the papers, would it? |

I was sweating desperate for the young girl to finally recall her overprotective Pokémon. I was able to heave a relieved sigh and the rest of my breathe and then unzipped my backpack to scrummage around for a pair of sandals, shorts, and a spaghetti-strap shirt so the girl would look seemingly normal. But I was definitely a guy so the red and blue polo shirt I found had to do. I held out my arms and let the girl fall into them before she lost her balance and fell into the grimy dirt. Thank god she was slim or else someone would have thought I was groping her. I held out a clean washcloth to the girl's face. "Please go back into your shelter there and wipe the dirt off your hands and face with this and change into the clothing I have here. Don't argue with me because if anyone saw you like you are now then I'll have to do a lot of explaining to the public and having the paparazzi following my trail isn't what I'd prefer. After you're done, come out and we'll exchange names and talk about your current condition while we head off for the center." Since she had agreed to come with me, I had to have her stick by her promise and forced her back into the old, wooden door. I quietly slammed it shut and examined the contents within the wallet. The man who owns this wallet probably might not miss much. I could buy a decent lunch and dinner for the girl and see where that takes off. Soon afterwards, the young girl came out of her temporary stall with the clothes I gave her properly put on and her a little bit cleaner from the muck. She looks an awful lot like a tomboy. Maybe the people that pass us won't notice any difference whether we were related or not. I sure hope so. I led her by the hand out of the alleyway and flipped out a white visor onto my head and navigated the way back from the Pokécenter from my memory and the map I held. It was deeming to be a bit awkward now that none of us are talking. So took a last-minute scan of the direction we had to go and started a conversation with the girl. I still had to figure out her name, but she was allowed to tell me whenever she felt it was right. |

The girl soon emerged from the hovel that she lived in, although she still looked pretty weak. She seemed quite at home in the clothes that you had lent to her. She followed you towards the Pokémon Center, lagging a little way behind you the whole time. Even in her weakened state from who-knows-what, she still seemed reluctant to talk to you. Guilt from what her faithful Absol had done, no doubt. Luckily for you, you passed by the guy who had lost his wallet. Ignoring the girl, he came up to you and shook your hand. "Thanks for returning it," he said with a smile. "I know that this isn't much, but please take this as a token of my gratitude." Handing a Great Ball to you, he took his wallet from you and left on his merry way. He seemed in a bit of a hurry to get somewhere, so he didn't have any time to inquire about what had happened to the Absol. Next stop: Pokémon Center. Both you and the girl were in and out of there with healed Pokémon in almost no time at all. The girl received a few stares as you went through the establishment with her, but being a trainer, most people dismissed her as a "colorful" personality. Back out on the street, she wandered around with you, keeping an awkward silence. She seemed rather reluctant to talk to you, until she suddenly said to you, rather softly, "My name's Suki...See you." Quite before you could do anything, she vanished down another alley. You chased after her, but after turning a couple of corners, she had vanished. Well, you seemed to be done with her, but where had she gone? Perhaps some things were best left alone. Oddly enough, you couldn't help but think that she had been testing you somehow. Or you were a magnet for trouble....I wouldn't bother with her anymore. So...what now? It was getting late, so perhaps a return to the Center for a nap or even bedtime was in order. If not, you could just simply look around some more at whatever other grungy sights that Hurst had to offer. |

The glint of happiness in those near-soulless eyes made me a bit nervous as my skin crawled coldly. Her sluggish gait was what gave my heart a reason to beat so fast. If she were to fall or just get hurt in any way, people will get suspicious and jab at me with their mindless questions and I'll never be able to get to Pokécenter in time to battle some more. I kept a strong grip on the girl's hand as went trotted along. It wasn't long before the familiar man whom had lost the wallet I was holding spotted me from the crowd and approached me with urgency in his voice. The man was in a rush due to the constant stomping of his shoes, so he quickly thanked me for my unknown efforts and rewarded me with a Greatball and a wave and was off my sights. I wanted to examine the Greatball a bit further now that I have it, but getting to the Pokémon Center was the number one priority for me right now. The eyes that took quick glances at the girl wasn't any mind to the people that walked by. I shrugged them off and kept on walking. Whatever happened next was the strangest occurrences that happened in my life so far next to the spontaneous death of my old girlfriend. After a long while of tumultuous silence, the girl who I have been watching over bursted out at a very soft tone, "My name's Suki. See you." After that, her legs were just pumping up and down and then she just disappeared into an alley. I didn't feel like going after her since my body was sore from having to stand all day and I didn't get enough breakfast to fill out the rest so I just winced a single time at where she ran off to and kept on walking towards that center. It was an odd feeling to have, though, since it felt like she just simply abandoned me without even explaining why. My time passed and I made my way through the automatic sensor doors and up to the front desk of the center. I was in a bad mood right now that I couldn't seem to fill but I wasn't nearly at the point of common drowsiness yet. I still felt like going out and battling one more Pokémon before grabbing a bed to lay on. As I was waiting in line, my poketch started to chirp with a Tohean-wide announcement about some tournament going on in Hurst soon. The moment I read that, my brain psyched out with exhilaration. That's it. I have to find one more Pokémon to battle before tonight so I can register for that tournament. Something strong, too. Right after Cole and Ariana are healed up, I'm going out for another round of scavenging. |

Shortly after you had both of your Pokémon were healed you left the desk with two Pokeballs in your hands. You swerved in and out of the various people in the Pokémon Center. It seemed that many people wanted their Pokémon healed before the night faded into the day. You approached the clear sliding doors, which opened for you as you stepped on a black mat at the entrance or exit to the building. They slid gently open making a slight squeaking noise as they finished opening, many people rushed past you to either get in or out of the Pokémon Center. No words were exchanged, not even a please or Thank you. You stepped out of the building and began a slight walk around the area. It wasn't long before you had found Pokémon though. You stepped forward and felt something roll beneath your foot, it made you fall backwards and land neatly on your behind. Looking forward you saw an angered pokeball with eyes. Wait a moment, pokeballs don't have eyes! :genderless Lv.9

Ariana and Cole were fully healed after a few minutes of professional treatment by the Pokécenter staff. I was always in their debt since they had always given the training community free service in exchange for a small wage on their salaries. Pretty fine heroes at work, I suppose. An explosion of trainers and their Pokémon were trampling the marble floor in need of that service before dawn struck the city. The automatic sensor doors had to be switched to manual mode because of the horde of people entering and leaving the premises in mobs. I had to do a forceful surge out into the street just to gasp the fresh air that I almost lost in that mass collision. I was practically on my stomach letting my throat vacuum the air into my lungs without another thought towards the idea. After I received my worth of oxygen, I carefully brought myself up to my knees and then my feet until I was high over the ground. The sun's pace down into the east was rapidly increasing and the time I have left to train was starting to slim. I shuffled my hand in my backpack until my palms felt the small labels I emblazoned on two certain pokeballs and pulled them out gracefully into the gentle evening breeze as they exploded with my two journey partners that stepped onto the paved sidewalk without expression. "Hey, guys. I know you two already had a rough day with way too many battles, but the sun hasn't gone down yet so I think we could squeeze in one more match before we rest. Don't get discouraged, you two. The reason I'm pushing you two so hard is because I want you two to become strong, healthy, and alive unlike geezer Pokémon who spend their times in the sewers." Cole and Ariana groaned with disappointment and a hint of rage but didn't dare to cross with my lecture now. But then I mentioned to them about the Tournament that was going to be held here in a few days and told them that if they won, then they would be able to get fortunes of stuff for each other. Cole and Ariana's eyes glistened at the thought of their dreams coming into reality. "So now I want you guys to endure a bit a longer and exert a bit more strength into your systems after we get done with one last battle. With this Greatball I have, I don't think it will take very long. Ariana..." Ariana craned her neck to look up at me with those wistful eyes, "You will be the one to battle. I haven't trained you enough, yet. Plus I've already taught Cole enough for today so he can rest for the night." Cole and Ariana sighed, but each had different hints of emotions in those sighs that told me they had different opinions on the matter. I heaved out my own fog of breathe and signaled them to follow beside me as I walked around for a bit with my eyes peeled for any signs of wild Pokémon. The time I spent looking for a Pokémon right then had gone down to a mere second when my foot slid on something round and made me fall onto my ass. "What the hell...?" In front of my eyes, I saw a massive looking pokeball with it's spectacles glaring down on me as I sat puzzled. Then I remembered something back at the Silph Corporation Building. This thing was used as a electric generator for the building's back-up supply of energy because of it's high voltage. A Voltorb! Oh, god, this thing would completely be useful whenever I need a charge of power. I have to catch that thing, now! "Ariana, here's your battle right now," I stood up swiftly before the Voltorb could knock me down again. Don't have much time. Have to make my instructions simple but effective. "Ariana, first use Growl at that Voltorb with a deafening sound. If thing thing begins to thrust towards you (thing first phase of performing Sonicboom) then use Agility to evade it's throttle. Wait for it to falter after it's attack and then Body Slam it into the ground after you lock and aim at it. With Agility, it shouldn't be able to dodge as well. But quickly change course if it does dodge." Ariana squawked an "ok" responce and propelled herself into the air. With Ariana's heavy weight, the Body Slam should be quite effective if the thing doesn't switch plans. I just need to rough this guy up a little and see where it goes. |
