The monster stalked to the edge of the impact crater. You tossed down a pokeball, relesing your Houndour. Pidgey and Psyduck scooted away behind you. They didn’t want any part of this fight. You gave orders to your dog to use Ember, just as the monster was crawling out of the hole.

The Houndour took a deep breath, and released a gout of flames in the face of the monster. It stumbled back a bit, blinking it’s dark red eyes in surprise. The Ember hadn’t done much damage either! What kind of monster was this!?

Whatever the beastie was, it had climbed out of the crater. It’s eyes flashed hatred as it Leered at your dog. The monster gurgled a laugh. “Loolooloo.” Normally Pokémon can only say parts of their names. So, what could “Loolooloo” mean?

You didn’t have time to ponder the situation. The monster towered over your Houndour and leaned in for a Bite.

Eeep! What would you do next?!

The blue monster was pissing off Rex to the maximum. What was it? Why did it come here? What did it want? Those were all the questions going through his head right now. Once his Houndour was released, it took a deep breath, and released a gout of flames in the monster's face. "That attack didn't do much either! What kind of monster is that?!" He shouted gripping his right fist. Rex had no choice but to try something new. The trainer turned head around to see his two bird Pokémon basicly hiding behind the master for safety.

"No Point in having you guys out. Especially if you're not going to do anything!" He said before taking their Pokeballs out and returning them. Now, he had no choice but to try a new move with Houndour. He was going to test out a move called Flame Thrower. "Houndour, use Ember as soon as it get's close.... Try this move out, Flame Thrower!" He commanded. He felt confident in his Houndour. Rex just hoped it worked.

((To RP teach a move, you need to actively describe it. Pokémon don't know how to do moves instinctively. For advice on how to do it look here.))

Your commands to Houndour were not brilliant ones. Houndour looked at you with confusion in its eyes at your commands. You could see these thoughts cross hs mind: What is he talking about? Flamethrower? I don't know what that means. The little dog tried to elicit a response from you, but your confidence in him was too great. Suddenly, a dark blue tentacle streaked through the sky and struck Houndour on the side. The dog flipped over in the air, and luckily landed on his feet.

The dog returned his attention to the monstrosity before him and growled. This was personal for him now. He tried to piece together what Flamethrower meant from his rudimentary control of English, but he didn't do so well. He managed to get of an ember that had sparks a little closer to each other than normal, but nothing else changed. The winged demon that you were facing laughed off the attack as if it were nothing. Its tentacles flailed in the air as it mocked you, your Pokémon, and your skills. Let's see what happens if we try once more, eh?

Maybe trying to command Houndour to do a move that he didn't know was a bad idea. Even if he had caught six Pokémon, still doesn't mean he was the best trainer. Rex never won a battle yet, besides with wild Pokémon. If he wanted to beat his sister in a Pokémon battle he has to start winning. Rex watched what happen between the blue monster and his Houndour. From the looks of things, it wasn't looking to good.

Rex should of checked his Poketech before he called an attack like that. It was bad for him to do things like that. His Pokémon could of got hurt bad, very bad. He really didn't know what to do right now. What he wouldn't do for some help right about now. "Houndour use Ember then Bite." He said watching the battle.

As Houndour got into position, the creature crouched down a little and growled. This somehow made its massive bulk seem more impressive, not to mention more dangerous and deadly. At this point your dark/fire dog unleashed his Ember, but the little flaming sparks seemed to do very little to the creature. Obviously it somehow seemed to resist fire attacks. The reason as to why eluded you, as you had never seen such a thing in your life. Either way you had caused a small amount of damage.

Growling, the creature charged forward like a stampeding elephant, Tackling into your puppy. Yelping, Houndour tried to surge through the pain, gritting his teeth to keep from making loud howling sounds of pain and fear. He didn't like this thing, it smelled very bad. Nonetheless he sucked it up and launched himself at his opponent and latched onto its tentacles with Bite. The creature howled its anger, curling its remaining free tentacles around your dog and wrenching it free. Once again that attack hadn't seemed to do much.

Reeling your hound in like a fish on reel, it bit down on your own Pokémon with Bite with its non-visible mouth. Your Pokémon now started caterwauling in pain, red blood starting to stain his black side. Better find a way to get him out of there before things become worse. And I mean a lot worse. Either way, you could assume that this monster was a partial dark type. But then what was the other half if it could resist fire? That left the possibilities of rock, water, and another type or two open....

Rex still couldn't tell what type of Pokémon this was. He also wonder if there were more of it's kind in either around here or different regions. His Houndour was doing good so far, holding it's own against this powerful Pokémon or whatever it was. Rex watched the battle and grind his teeth together. The young trainer was getting fed up with this battle. One thing that made him more angry was the sight of blood coming from his poor dog.

"Oh no!" He shouted. Rex reached into his backpack to look for two pokeballs. There were two Pokémon that he thought could help Houdour out. In two secounds he sent the two Pokeballs flying in the air. A purple ghost made out of gas appeared from one of the balls. Next was a little brown bird flapping it's wings to keep it in the air. "Gastly use Mean Look! Pidgey use Peck on the monster's head!" He command his Pokémon. The little bird flew as quick as it could to the monster and Gastly dissappeared.

{The Male Gastly is the one that's out}

You called out your Pidgey and Gastly and they appeared in a burst of light. You Gastly then used Mean Look and prevented it from escaping while your Pidgey flew up and used Peck. The attack actually did normal damage!

The monster then used Bite and was able get both Gastly and Pidgey in the attack. This came as a suprise to you. Wow this thing has a big mouth! This really hurt Gastly do to it partial to ghostliness. The other bad thing was that Gastly started flinching at everything that it saw!

This wasn't good. What are you going to do about it?

All had seem lost for the young trainer from Pallet Town. First the blue Monster kept him from getting a Pikachu, then it tried to eat his Pokémon. It all turned around when he saw what happend with Pidgey and the other thing. The attack exactly did something, which means it's weak against something after all. "So you're weak against some after all!" Rex said looking at his Pokémon.

Hopefully he can wrap this battle up once-and-for-all. Rex looked at Gastly and said, "Gastly, use Hypnosis! If that doesn't work disappear and use Lick." He commanded the ghost made of gas. "Pigey use Gust and Houndour use bite." He said pointing toward the blue monster. Rex was going to catch this Pokémon or whatever it was. This thing had to be very useful.

Growling, the creature's eyes swept the area between you and your attacking Pokémon, evil yet calculating. But wait...where was your Gastly? With a small cackle, the gaseous ghost appeared in front of the creature and used Hypnosis before the monster could do anything. With a loud *crash!*, the monster thudded to the ground, emitting rumbling snores. The Gastly then proceeded to try and use Lick on the monster, but the attack had no effect. Obviously this thing was immune to ghost moves...that definitely singled it out as a partial dark type.

This small setback didn't distract the rest of your Pokémon. Cooing in her cute Pidgey way, your brown bird began flapping her wings at a high speed and sent a miniature tornado that went slamming into the creature. The monster's snores broke off for a moment, but then it drifted back into dreamland. Your puppy by this time had gotten up enough courage to move in for his only order; Biting down on the creature's face tentacles, he caused a fairly decent amount of damage despite the fact that dark type moves didn't work very well against this creature.

Now that you had the monster right where you wanted it, you could either make it faint or catch it. This thing was incredibly odd as far as Pokémon go, but maybe you could use its weird abilities to your advantage in battle. Speaking of which....In the sky, the fireballs had reversed their direction and were now going back towards the black vortex, which was rapidly shrinking. The sky lost its greenish tinge, and the clouds were slowly starting to clear off. Getting rid of this thing one way or another would definitely wrap things up.

Rex was watching what was going on from his side of the battle field. Seems like the tables were turning for him now. "It worked!" He shouted with joy. Rex knew if Gastly would disappeared, the monster wouldn't know what to do. Once the Pokémon was sleep, Pidgey and Houndour went in for the attack. The little bird made a little tornado and sent it toward the sleeping monster. It wasn't over yet for the Pokémon because Houndour was going to finish it off.

After the attack, he notice things started changing in the sky. In the sky, the fireballs had reversed their direction and were now going back towards the black vortex. The sky lost its greenish tinge, and the clouds were slowly starting to clear off. "I guess if I don't catch it, I probably might not see another." Rex took out a pokeball and looked at the Pokémon or monster on the ground. Right now is the test to tell if it was a Pokémon or not. Rex then threw the pokeball at the blue monster. Hopfuly he would catch it.

The pokebal flew at the sleeping Pokémon, in hit againtst the Pokémon and with a flash of red light the Pokémon disappeared into the pokeball. The ball shook, but only once, and then stopped. The ball was still, you had caught yourself a Pokémon, congrats.

As you picked up your new found friend, you looked around. The carnage these monsters and their flaming craters had cause was vast. Trees and grass lay in crumpled heaps, or burned to ash and charcoal, Pokémon here and there were either injured or dead, you turned your head at the body of a Pokémon missing a leg. The good thing was, the terror was over, and you yourself were alive. There was a noise behind you, it was a boys voice. "Oh Thank god! Please you have to help me?" he tugged on your arm, "Its my sister, she's trapped and I can't get her out, you have to help me." Before you had a chance to answer he pulled you into the forest and grass, for a few minute you ran until you came to a clearing with a number of other impact craters. In one of the craters was a fallen tree and under the charred shrubbery lay an unconcious girl, trapped by the weight of the tree, a Pikachu with a scarf on and a bloody leg desperatley trying to pull the tree off her.

The boy ran down to her and began to lift also, the tree was very big and looked very heavy, this boy and the Pikachu couldn't budge it. But perhaps with the combined strength of all of you, there may be a chance. Unless you want to be an ass and leave them to their struggle. Its your choice, have a heart or not?

Rex was hopping that the Pokémon wasn't going too put up a fight. He would of been mad if he didn't catch the blue monster. Matter of fact that was the Pokémon's new nickname, Blue. After the Pokeball stopped shaking Rex jumped in the air with joy. A white beam of light surrounded the Pokeball and teleported it to a Pokémon Center. Rex didn't really know why, but it happened when you catch a Pokémon but already have six Pokémon in your party. Guess trainers are allowed to only have six Pokémon.

"That Pokémon caused a lot of trouble around here, good thing I caught it." Rex said before someone touched him. The boy pulled him through the forest and grass. They soon came to a clearing with numbers of craters. If he wasn't sure, he'd think that there were more around. Rex saw the Pikachu with the red scarf and thought about something. There had to be more Pikachus around because this wasn't the first time he saw one. Without saying a word he ran to the tree and tried to move it so she could get free.

Standing next to the tree, it was half as thick, as you were tall. And it was a tall tree. This meant that it was rather heavy as well. The scarf wearing pikachu began grunting, as he, the boy, and you all worked the tree. The tree however was just too big. It wouldn’t budge with brute force like this. You’ve have to get creative, and try to find a better solution.

The Pikachu was getting angry though. His trainer was pinned under this tree, and he was hurt. He was going to do whatever it took to get her free. As you can imagine, frustrated Pikachus have a specific way of dealing with frustration. A yellow electrical charge started forming around the yellow Pokémon! “Piiiiikaaaaa…..” The little power plant began grunting.

The boy started looking nervous. It didn’t take a genius to know that electricity wouldn’t help move the tree. If anything, it might hurt the girl. “Zap! You have to stop!” The boy yelled. But the Pikachu, Zap, was still charging his blast.

Well crud. Now you had the pinned girl and a crazy Pikachu to deal with. What’s your plan?

Rex tried with all his might to move the tree, but it didn't budge at all. The tree wasn't going to move with just the help of a boy and a Pikachu. Speaking of Pikachu, the little yellow mouse started acting crazy and Rex had to do something to calm it down. Looks like he was going to need help from his whole team. Reaching into his backpack, he took out six pokeballs which contain his team. "Hey kid, if you have any Pokémon, you should get them to help too.... Come on out everyone." He said tossing the balls in the air.

Six different red lights formed around the area. The lights formed into different things like a dog, two ghost, a bird, a star, and a duck. All his Pokémon gave him a cheerful cry as they went close around him. "I need your help from each of you, Gastly I want you to use Hypnosis on that Pikachu over there with the red scarf. I don't want it making matters worse than it is. We have to help a fellow trainer. So let's try and moved this tree." He told them. His Pokémon and him went over to tree, Houndour, Gastly :male, Staryu, Pidgey, and Psyduck. All but the female Gastly, because she was going to put Pikachu to sleep for a while.

Gastly floated softly around so that it was right in front of Zap. She looked soothingly into the little Pikachu's eyes, and before long the tiny yellow Pokémon was fast asleep. That was easy - too easy perhaps?

Meanwhile, the other five Pokémon were working on moving that log. Gastly and Houndour had their respective skulls shoved in against the tree and pushing with all their might, Pidgey had grabbed hold of the nearest limb and was doing her best to pull the log away and Pearl had actually managed to get kind of underneath the whole thing and was trying to lift it over its head. The only one who wasn't physically helping was Psyduck, but his efforts were of a different kind. He was standing a good 3 feet back, and had his hands clamped to the sides of his head (she says, as if this were an unusual occurrence). The strange thing was that his eyes had begun to change hue, taking on a bright blue, as opposed to there usual whatever colour they were.

The young boy hadn't sent anything else out, so maybe that Pikachu was all the two had, but at least he was still helping to push. Your second Gastly decided to join in on the fun and games too, so she was heaving and ho-ing along with everybody else.

The combined force off all of these Pokémon had to be worth something, surely. Little by little the tree began to shift, but everybody was growing exhausted, and there was no way that they'd all be able to keep this up for long enough to get the girl free. Maybe there was some other way to get her out from underneath there. You had a wide range of Pokémon abilities to choose from, surely you could think of something that could work.
