Rex looked at what was happening. His Gastly had won the battle, and Rex could end the battle and leave or catch the Psyduck. People don't usually come by a Psyduck, so he was going to keep it. Rex looked at the Psyduck on the ground and smiled. He put his back pack on the ground and took two empty Pokeballs out. "I'm glad you want to be apart of my team." With that he sent the Pokeball flying at the Psyduck.

If he did catch the Psyduck then he was headed out of the city. Rex was also going too give the Bidoof the option to join the team as well. Without him having to battle. Rex looked at the Bidoof that was still there. It was sad how the other one left. "Your welcome to join" Rex said putting the other Pokeball up to the Bidoof.

The Pokeball that was sent at the Psyduck consumed the quacker within seconds, and it hit the ground rocking violently. Obviously, Psyduck wasn't going to give in easily. He was holding true to his promise of allowing you to catch him, but he was making it as hard as possible. The more challenging the better, in my opinion. It helps to give the learning trainer some experience.

Finally, the Pokeball stopped rocking, and a small *ding!* issued from it as the lock clicked shut. The newly sealed Pokeball was lying there in the grass, lonely and waiting for its owner to pick it up. Well, you did it, you had caught that annoying Psyduck! A useful one that had Psychic as an Egg Move, at that.

Gastly gained 84 :exp and grew to Level 8!
Gastly learned Mean Look!

Anyway, back to you and that other Bidoof. It seemed somewhat confused when you set the Pokeball down next to it, and it suddenly backed away, nervous. It had seen how you had captured Psyduck, and that you were a caring person. But still...the beaver didn't feel as though it was ready for a trainer yet. Shaking its head slightly, it backed off and scampered away. Oh well...at least you had a new Pokémon to show for your efforts, not to mention a full team of Pokémon.

Anyway, didn't you mention something about wanting to go back into the city? A Pokémon Center would probably be the first place to visit. And then...well, what happened after that was up to you, until fate decided to steer you in another direction.

Rex watched as the pokeball shook while on the ground. If he didn't catch it, he wouldn't know what to do next. Finally, the Pokeball stopped rocking, and a small *ding!* issued from it as the lock clicked shut. When he heard that sound he jumped in the throwing his fist up into the air.

He went over to the Pokeball that laid in the grass where the Bidoof was. Looks like that Pokémon didn't want to join the team, oh well though. Having one new Pokémon is always better than none at all. "We'll find another Bidoof later Gastly.... Good job, take a long rest." Rex said to the floating ball of gas as it came toward him.

He took the Gastly Pokeball out and returned it. Rex put the ball back in the backpack. He went over to the Pokeball that had consume the Psyduck. "Welcome to the team Psyduck." Rex said making his way to the Pokémon Center. It was getting really late where he was.

You picked up the Pokeball with the Psyduck, forgetting about the Bidoof, and welcoming your Psyduck to your new team of Pokémon. You make your way to a Pokémon Center easily though, you see that there is a long line ahead of you. Eventually, you get to the front of the line and Nurse Joy asks you, "Sorry for the delay, may I please have your Pokémon?"

As the nurse takes your Pokémon, you look around and see several depressed trainers. You're a bit curious as to what happened. So, you ask the nurse. Nurse sighs and tells you, "A couple of Trainers are blocking the bridge to Amaer and Tilinity. Though, they are only after newbie trainers. According to what the other trainers say, they're apart of some gang. First, they'll ask you a riddle, and then if you get it right they'll let you pass. If you don't, they'll attack you. I sure wish there was a strong Trainer that could teach them a lesson."

You think about defeating the trainers, though if you DO decide to go after them, you should ask a few trainers who got beat by them. Then again, you don't have to be a hero. You could just walk around Tohea and hope for another adventure to come along. Or you could progress your training so your Pokémon could grow stronger. Whatever path you choose, the choice is yours.

Pass.

Once Rex got the Pokeball he used to catch the Psyduck off the ground he head back on into the city. When he entered the Pokémon Center he saw a lot of trainers there. "I wonder what's going on around here?" He asked himself once he got to the front of the line. Rex thought about what Nurse Joy said about wishing there was a strong trainer too stop them.

One thing was for sure, there was no way that that strong trainer was him. After getting his Pokémon healed he left the building. "Tohea is cool and all but I think I'm ready to head onto one of the routes." Rex said looking up at the sky. Rex had so many adventures already in Tohea that it wasn't even funny. Another adventure in Tohea would make him wanna go back to Pallet Town in the Kanto Region.

Rex continued to walk to the edge of Tohea to exit the city.

With his Pokémon healed, Rex wandered out of the city. With the sun on his face, the city at his back, and the dirt road ahead of him, Rex felt as if anything could happen today! It was time for a fresh adventure, filled with excitement, and maybe battles! This would be a fun trip, wherever it was that he was going.

As he left the city limits, Rex looked at the road sign. “Route 2: Tohea to Wayford” the white sign read. Wayford? Huh. Well, wherever the road went, it lead to adventure! Rex whistled a happy tune as he hiked the hard packed dirt road.

After a half hour, the scenery had barely changed. Tall grass rose up on either side of the road, promising a wide variety of Pokémon, if he’d run out there and explore. Around a slight curve in the road, a woman became visible. She skipped along, her smile beaming, as her dark red hair flowed behind her.

“I’ve got a Magikarp! Tra-Loo, Tra-Leh!
I’ll make a fortune, starting today!”

The woman sang/spoke as she passed Rex. A Magikarp? She was that excited about a Magikarp? Huh, what a weirdo. Unfortunately, Rex heard the scattering of Pokémon in the grass, as they ran away from the woman’s awful singing. If he was going to find Pokémon, he’d have to try further down the road.

Fifteen minutes later, and who knew how many steps, the road curved again. This time a short man approached Rex. With a scratchy voice, the short, bearded man exclaimed: “Hey Kid! There’s a guy selling Magikarp up the road! Can you believe it? I’m going to be rich!” The little man walked on as the sound of running Pokémon could be heard in the tall grasses once again.

Drats! And what’s the deal with all these Magikarp?!

Another fifteen minutes later, another man came into view. This time he stood at the side of the road. He hummed politely as he looked into a glass aquarium. A red Magikarp swam within the tank. The man tugged down on his hat and brushed his moustache with his hand as Rex approached.

“Hello young man!” He joyfully exclaimed. “Can I interest you in a Magikarp? I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but Magikarp become one of the most powerful Pokémon ever known! They evolve into Gyarados with just a little bit of love! Plus, when they lay eggs, they lay hundreds of them! Why, with just one Magikarp you could end up with hundreds of Gyrarados! Wouldn’t that be great?”

The man smiled as he spoke to young Rex. Once again, the Pokémon in the grass ran from the sounds of humans.

“So, would you like to buy a lovely little Magikarp? They’re a steal at just $120 each!”

Rex was so happy to be out of the city of now. When he got out of the out skirts of the city he ended up on Route 2. Before he left the city, he read about Route 2 on this map. Thinking about the words that were the map made him very excited. Rex still remember what it said about the Route too.

Quote:

This route connects Tohea with the beautiful city of Wayford. The route is mostly used for nobles and others who use it to reach Tohea for trade. It's linned with a few trees of various nature, as well as open grass beyond the trees.

Rex was on this dirt road with tall grass on each side. One thing that he was looking foward too was catching some Pokémon or battling someone. In Tohea he got two Pokémon that he had yet to battle with. Rex also for got about a couple of things he had on him. He had two rare candies that would make his Pokémon level up in a instant. That would be good for his Pidgey that was only a level three.

A woman can into his view as he walked. She was talking about how she got a Magikarp. The woman also mention how she was going to make a fortune from the Pokémon. Rex then heard the scattering of Pokémon in the grass. "That lady made me miss some Pokémon.... Maybe there's some a head." He said with a small sigh. He watched the lady leave and kept going down the dirt road.

A bit later, a short bearded man with a scratchy voice approach Rex. At first he thought something was wrong... Nope he was wrong. It was another person talking about a stupid Magikarp. What's with people in the Tohea region? Back in Kanto a Magikarp wasn't a big deal unless you were a trainer that didn't mind waiting on it to evolve. Rex found out that there was a guy selling Magikarps. As the man walked off, Rex put his hands in he pocket and countinued. "Not again...I have too find this guy." He said hearing Pokémon running off.

Another fifteen minutes later, another man came into view. This time he stood at the side of the road. He hummed politely as he looked into a glass aquarium. A red Magikarp swam within the tank. The man tugged down on his hat and brushed his moustache with his hand as Rex approached. After the man talked Rex opened his mouth and spoke. "So you must be the man selling the Magikarps.... Because of you I missed out on Pokémon! I say you should give me half off! Plus what level is the Magikarp anyway?" Rex asked with his hands still in his pocket.

Rex approached the man selling Magikarp. This made the salesman smile. "So you must be the man selling the Magikarps.... Because of you I missed out on Pokémon! I say you should give me half off! Plus what level is the Magikarp anyway?" The man’s eyes got larger listening to your statements. “Why, I’ve been standing here for hours! I didn’t make you lose any Pokémon.” He folded his arms and turned his back on you. Looks like you offended him.

The salesman turned his head over his shoulder. “But, to answer your other question, my lovely Magikarp is a normal Pokémon. I just caught her yesterday, but I think she might be pregnant. So, are you interested?” The salesman turned to face you again, which was when you noticed something odd about him. His moustache was crooked.

Why would a guy selling Magikarp wear a fake moustache? Now that you thought about it, that little guy earlier seemed off too. His beard was a dark brown, but his hair a light tan. Something fishy was going on here, and it wasn’t the Magikarp.

Rex thought about something, why would someone want to sell a pregnant Magikarp? He could make millions of dollars for themselfs instead. Rex remember hearing something about a man in Kanto ripping trainers off. He would tell them that the Magikarps were going to evolve into a Gyarados any time soon. Who knows, maybe he wanted to rip people off in a new region. Rex was just going to walk away, because something told him he was going to get into something if he stayed.

"No thank you." Rex said as he started to walk away. Rex was probably on his way to the Riverwood Forest. He couldn't believe that he missed out on some wild Pokémon. While walking he looked up at the sky and just stared. "Well I should give Pidgey these Rare Candies, she could move up two levels." Rex put his backpack on the dirt floor infront of him.

Rex reached in and took a Pokeball out and tossed it. A Pidgey came out and with a cheerful cry. It then flew over to his shoulder and landed. Rex took the candy out his pocket and gave it to the Pidgey. She just ate it and smile, or at least something like it.

((I wasn't sure whether you used 2 Rare Candies, or just 1. I'll change your Profile for 1 now and fix it later if you meant 2 ~ Lexi))

The sweet that Pidgey snapped up happily really was a marvel of modern medicine. Somehow, chemists had managed to create a lolly that released chemicals to a Pokémon's body, causing them to grow in strength, leaving no ill-effects. After swallowing the one that you fed it, Pidgey almost glowed with the radiance of a new found strength. Not quite, but almost.

As you sat there, carefree, playing with your Pokémon as you took a short rest in the grass, a large crowd of people (there must have been at least 15 or 20) came walking down the path, each and every one of them holding a pokéball in plain view. Who did that? What's more is that all of the people seemed to be wearing a costume. You saw overcoats, hats, hoods, sunglasses, large amounts of make-up, heck, you even saw one of those cheesy pairs of glasses with the fake nose attached. Something really strange was going on here.

Though none of the people actually spoke to you, you did hear some mumbling: "... absolute bargain...", "... must be mad...", "... turn into a Gyarados..."

Wait a second! Did that guy say Gyarados?! All of those disguised people had just bought a Magikarp from the man down the road. There was something seriously wrong with this picture, and I think it's time you find out what! Before you could do anything about it though, you hear the people behind you begin to scream. You look around the forest and don't notice anything unusual, but then you look into the sky, where the clouds were acting very strangely.

Everything in the sky seemed to be swirling around to a central point, creating some kind of wormhole or vortex. As you watched, tiny little green lights began to appear from the center came at tremendous speeds towards the Earth. You couldn't make out what they were, but the looked like comets of some kind.

Suddenly one of the comets crashed into the forest about half a mile away. It wasn't in the direction of the Magikarp man, or of Wayford City, but maybe you should check it out anyway? The choice is yours.[/color]

{I used two Rare Candies}

As Rex sat there in the grass, he thought about where his sister could be right now. Maybe if his father told him sooner about his sister, he would probably already found her. Rex's Pidgey flew up from the ground to his head from the and started making noise. He knew from that that the Pidgey was trying to tell him something. Rex stood to his feet and saw a crowd of people walking, each and everyone of them had a Pokeball. "I wonder what's going on with those people." Rex said looking at the group.

Hearing the word Gyarados, he knew they were talking about the Magikarp sells-man. Rex didn't want to have anything to do with that guy, especially after he tried to rip him off. "Oh well, I don't care about that guy." Rex said while getting ready to continue on route 2. He didn't leave because of the sound of people screaming. Rex looked around to see if something was wrong around them. The trainer didn't see anything until he looked to the sky.

Rex said running to the crash site of the green comet with Pidgey flying right next to him.

You ran through the overgrown grass, on your way to check out the green fireball. The trees were a bit thicker once you were off the path, but following the smoke was easy enough. Wild Pokémon ran past you oblivious to your presence. It looked like they were trying to get away from the meteor’s impact site.

After about ten minutes, you were finally close enough to feel the heat from the fireball. And, once you forced your way through some bushes, you could see the impact site. A wide, dirt hole was in the ground. The edges of it had burning grass, smoldering. The smoke wafted up to the eerie green skies, and the swirling black clouds above.

From inside the crater two sounds could be heard. The first was a pained “PIKA!” It sounded like a Pikachu was in danger. Then there was an awful *SNAP* and the sound stopped. A third sound started then. It was a slurping, eating sound.

As you peeked over the edge of the crater, you wanted to be sick. Some…thing… was eating a Pikachu! It was as dark blue as you could get before it became black. It was like if you took a Machamp and stuck a Tentacool on it’s head, then sewed Zubat wings to it. It’s tentacles wrapped around the limp Pikachu and it slurped.

Thankfully this monster hadn’t noticed you yet. But it’s burning red eyes were scanning the horizon in front of it. Maybe for a fight? Maybe for more food?

As Rex ran through the over grown grass, different thoughts came to mind. What if he found a new species of Pokémon and got rich from it? That would be very cool, and Rex could use some money right now. The trees started to get thicker with every step closer he got to the crash site. After ten minutes of running he was close to the crash site, so close that he could feel the heat of the fireball. Rex also saw some wild Pokémon run pass in the other direction, but he didn't stop to battle.

Rex forced his way through some bushes, once he got through he fell to his knees. He was catching his breath from all that running he did to get here. All that running paid off though, now that he could see the crashing site. A wide, dirt hole was in the ground. The edges of it had burning grass, smoldering. The smoke wafted up to the eerie green skies, and the swirling black clouds above. Something was in the large crater.

From inside the crater two sounds could be heard. The first was a pained “PIKA!” It sounded like a Pikachu was in danger. Then there was an awful *SNAP* and the sound stopped. A third sound started then. It was a slurping, eating sound. "What type of sound is that." Rex said walking closer to the crater. He didn't get to close though, he wouldn't want to fall in. The young trainer couldn't believe what he saw when he looked over the edge of the crater.

Something was eating a Pikachu! It was as dark blue as it get before it became black. It was like if someone took a Machamp and stuck a Tentacool on it’s head, then sewed Zubat wings to it. It’s tentacles wrapped around the limp Pikachu and it slurped. Rex needed to help the Pikachu, he could of just ran for his life. The one thing that kept him from running was the facted that he wanted a Pikachu all his life. Good thing his Pidgey was next to him, because he didn't want to make any noise, at least yet.

Rex wasn't sure if that thing was a Pokémon or not. One thing was for sure that it wasn't from this planet. He reach in his backpack and took out a Pokeball, he dropped it on the ground. The Pokeball opened, and a yellow duck appeared. It was Rex's water Pokémon Psyduck, a weird Pokémon he caught back in Tohea before he left. "Psyduck, I want you to use a Water Gun on that thing and Pidgey, fly over to that Pikachu and bring to me." Rex told his Pokémon.

The thing seemed rather busy eating, so it wasn't even expecting a random fat-looking duck to rain on its parade. Either way, it looked rather shocked as the Water Gun hit it...although the attack didn't do a ton of damage. Maybe this thing is strong against water attacks somehow? Weird indeed. Even though you didn't cause a ton of damage, it was enough to distract the thing enough from its meal. Pidgey was then able to swoop in and grab the Pikachu, although the weight of the mouse really encumbered your poor bird.

Bringing what was left of the mouse to you, you had to strain to not throw up your guts as the mangled Pikachu was brought to you. *Warning: This will get messy. Do not read the rest of the paragraph unless you are not faint of heart.* The color of its fur was the only thing that allowed you to distinguish what it was. Then again, most of its yellow fur was stained by the crimson color of blood. Most of the poor thing's tail had been ripped off, its bowels and stomach slashed open by razor-sharp teeth hidden under the monster's tentacles, and the thing's face...well, it technically didn't have a face or half of a brain anymore.

In the meantime, the monster had also picked up your bewildered Psyduck and tried to adminster the same treatment. Had not your Psyduck flailed so wildly with Scratch, the thing probably would have had some duck to wash down its Pikachu. The thing retaliated with a loud roar before wrapping another tentacle around Psyduck; using what appeared to be a ray of greenish light from its tentacle, the monster used Absorb on your Psyduck. Crap, that wasn't a good thing that this monster knew a grass move....

You may want to do some rethinking to your strategy.

Rex watched as his Psyduck went into battle. The Water Gun seemed to have done nothing at all but distract the blue monster. As soon as it hit, his Pidgey flew down to grab the Pikachu. He knew that Pikachu was going to have a little damage. From what he saw, it wasn't even close to a little damage. Rex fell to his knees with his hands on the ground as he started throwing up. He knew that Pokémon were animals and for them it dog eat dog world. Rex never prepared himself for something like this.

Blood was all over the Pikachu's fur, it's tail was gone, the Pikachu's stomach was ripped open. This just wasn't something a trainer saw every day. Rex stood to his feet and wiped his face with the sleeve of his red hoodie. That was one in a million chance of him getting a Pikachu. "That blue monster is going to pay big time for this, but what type of monster is it? He had to be a grass type, the Water Gun didn't work so well, plus, it's using Absorb... Absorb! Pidgey help Psyduck out and use Peck." He commanded.

Rex looked down at the monster in the crater with a pissed off exspression and bald his fists look. "I only got one fire type, hopefully you do good." Rex said reaching in his back pack. He took out a Pokeball and pushed the button on the device. The ball opened and out came a brown and black dog. Rex kneel to the Pokémon's level and pet it. "Nice to see you again Houndour." He said standing up with a smile on his face. Next thing you know, the pissed off exspression re-appeared on the trainer's face. "Houndour! Help them out with an Ember!" He shouted while pointing at the monster.
