Nurse Joy nodded as she walked into the back room. “Yeah, I think it’s in the hundreds now,” she said and disappeared for a minute. As she exited the room she held the Pokeball in her hand and put it on the heal-o-matic machine which promptly started beeping. As the final beep rang Nurse Joy picked the ball back up and handed it to you. “Here is the Pidgey, just remember, I want you to beat them with it,” she said and grinned before moving around the counter towards the door. “As a matter of fact, I think I hear them coming now. You better get out there,” she said and stepped back towards her counter. You step out the door boldly, staring down the road at the bunch of kids running towards you. In the middle you see a kid that appears to be about 16. He stands 6 foot 3 inches tall and has 6 Pokeballs attached to his shirt. This would hopefully turn out to be a very interesting battle. As the teen reaches you he stops and stares at you for a minute before proclaiming in a vaguely girly voice, “you been picking on my younger brother punk? How about we settle this with a battle?” Now, this might have been intimidating had it not sounded like it came from the voice of a 10 year old girl. Other then that he was relatively intimidating, but with a voice like that it would be hard not to laugh at him. Well, are you going to accept this kid’s challenge? |

Rex looked at the guy while holding the Pokeball that contain the pidgey in it. Hopefully this battle was going to be easy. Rex had a smirk on his face, and with that he sent the Pokeball in the air. Out came a pidgey flapping it's wings. "Okay Pidgey let's do this!" He yelled out ready to battle. |

"BWAAHA! A Pidgey? Pathetic!" The rather aggressive and underdeveloped young man pulled off one of the poké balls he had attachment to his shirt. "My Pokémon could trump that pathetic bird any day!" The trainer clicked the center button of the sphere, expanding it to a larger size. Within seconds of expanding it, he tossed it into the air, releasing a flash of silver-white light. The light formed into a large bird shape in the sky. Wings expanded about six feet in total length. "Star, use your Quick Attack. This battle is boring already!" The pokémon hovered around the head of its trainer, ready for a fierce battle. Naturally, this species of pokémon isn't that aggressive, which is truly evidence that trainers could change the attitude of their pokémon just by being around them. Judging by this boy's approach on all this not only will he have stronger pokémon than he does now, but it's a possibility. The staravia let out a fierce cry- it was ready to battle. Flapping its wings, the rather vicious pokémon readied to attack the allied pidgey with its quick attack, luckily, it didn't move quite yet, which leaves an opening for you to command your pokémon. The downside? It's surely going to fly right into pidgey as soon as you start to order an attack. Lv.14 ![]() 53/53 96%(Actually flying right toward Pidgey) |

Before the guy had approach Rex he felt really confindent in the Pidgey. Rex thought it was going to be easy beating this trainer because looks aren't everything. He had thought just because the guy was big, doesn't mean his Pokémon were strong. Once again he was wrong. Seeing the other bird Pokémon fly around he knew he was going to loose. All he can do now was do his best. When the other trainer sent his Pokémon with a Quick Attack he knew what to do. Rex waited about three seconds for the bird to come close to the Pidgey. "Pidgey dodge and use Peck." Rex commanded the little bird Pokémon. After this he was going to do some training with the little bird. With a cheer sound the Pidgey noded and did what the trainer told her. Rex waited to see what would come from this. |

Pidgey started flapping its wings, flying as fast as its muscles could propel it. It had an idea on how to both dodge and peck at the same time, while also doing rather efficient damage to the Staravia. Pidgey started flying towards the wall of the Pokémon center that Staravia quickly gaining as it boosted itself with its quick attack. Pidgey hoped the bird was following close behind and almost ran into the wall as it changed direction, this time going up. Was that a grin from Pidgey as the he heard Staravia squawk in terror and try to follow? Pidgey sure hoped so as it stuck its little legs out and shoved off the wall and flew backwards away from the wall. He got a good glimpse of the Staravia moving up the wall to follow and dove down to hit it. Its sharp beak began to glow a bright white color as it increased its speed to hit the bird. Staravia tried changing directions a second time, trying to accommodate for the building being on one side and an attacking Pidgey on the other. Pidgey slammed directly into the center of the Staravia’s back with its beak, doing a good bit of damage, but was even more pleased when Staravia hit the wall hard, its own momentum and the speed and weight of the Pidgey forcing it to hit the wall with a resounding thump. Staravia gasped in pain and fell to the ground were it lay for only a second before getting back up. It nursed a tender left wing but took to the air anyways, moving to hover over its trainer, whom by now was livid in anger, his face turning bright red as he glared at the Pidgey. Wow, your Pidgey was pretty darned smart to think of a good idea like that. Maybe you should capitalize on that and knock the snot out of this punk. You just might win if luck happens to be looking on you, not likely but you might. Lv. 3 31/31 87% Lv. 14 48/53 84%(injured left wing) |

He didn't really think the Pidgey was smart. That also meant he had to pay more attention to his surroundings. Rex had notice a few things about what just happend. Pidgey wasn't going to give up because the other Pokémon was stronger and the Staravia had injured it's left wing. He was going to use this to win this battle against the guy. He remember the things about the kid that made him laugh when he first saw him. It was funny how the boy had the voice of a 10 year old girl. Rex has a perfect idea in mind to beat this trainer. Since the Staravia left wing was hurt he was going to make it worst. "Pidgey, kick some dirt into the Staravia's face and peck at it's left wing, dodge any on coming attacks." Rex watched the battle to see what would happen. Though he just got Pidgey like ten minutes ago he feels like he gotten close. Rex will train this Pidgey and make it strong. Oh. My. Gosh. Who in their right mind would battle a Staravia with a simple, Level 3 Pidgey? Meh, perhaps nobody around here is in their right mind. I mean, half of us probably spend two thirds of our day sitting in front of a computer monitor and shriveling into nothing. Then again, who couldn't ignore such a wonderful idea as the Pokémon Franchise? Either way, the kid with the wounded Staravia wasn't about to give up. Immediately, he used his girly voice to instruct his bird to use Double Team, and then Wing Attack. Short and simple directions, of course, but they could be very lethal to your Pidgey if they hit. First thing's first, Staravia performed Double Team. Three other copies appeared on the field; hopping around Pidgey, they tried to confuse her. Which annoying Staravia was which? Still, your Pidgey had a decent advantage here. Kicking some dirt into the faces of each of them, it didn't take her long to locate the real one. Giving the bird even more grief, she started scattering all over the place, Pecking her opponent to death. Still, Staravia was by no means down for the count. Using his one good wing, he was able to bring his injured self up off of the ground on both wings with great pain involved. His wings started glowing with a bright white light; with an almighty, bloodcurdling cry, he swooped at your doomed Pidgey. What saved it, you ask? Well, Staravia's injured left wing proved too much, and it abruptly ended its attack and crash-landed on the ground with a painful squawk. Still, the bird and its trainer were definitely not done yet. Sooner or later, they'd land a lucky hit on you. Thankfully, luck had thus far been with you and hasn't turned against your favor quite yet. Lv. 3 31/31 77%VS Lv. 14 39/53 79%(injured left wing) |

Someone must of been watching from a above, cause he couldn't belive that his Pidgey lasted this long. Rex smiled watching how the battle was going. Maybe it was because of the injured wing the Staravia had. There was no way he was going to let up, at least not now. His Pidgey flew right on top of Rex's head and waited for the next move. Rex's arms remain crossed together while the Pidgey rested for a few secound. "Pidgey Tackle the Staravia to the ground and use Peck on it's left wing. Watch out for any attacks." Pidgey let out a cheerfull cry and flap it's wings and went into action. |

The kid who owned the Staravia clenched his teeth in a blind fury seeing his Pokémon go down in flames which was caused by some street Pokémon who could hardly hold up a soda can. "Hey, you! You know you can't win against my heavy duty Pokémon, right? So why don't you just give up?!" He's so scared now that he's switching to an alternative to win. By hoping that you would just give up and surrender before you "lose". The guy's starting to draw out a stream of sweat on his face. Pidgey made her way around the groaning starling and found a couple of weak points to jab at. Before Pidgey could get any closer, however, Staravia sensed the incoming attack and fought viciously out of range in hopes that he might just be able to strike the Pidgey hard. Luckily for you she was smarter than that and switched to the defensive and quickly sprayed a Sand-Attack directly into the Staravia's face and blinded her for the moment she was out. Pidgey surged forward at an alarming rate and collided with Staravia, slamming it into the ground as it tried to swipe at whatever was attacking him. Pidgey didn't cling onto the Tackle for too long in case the Staravia might get a hold of her and flew off as quickly as possible after using the last few seconds it had to pierce her beak into Staravia's wing with a severe drilling motion that stung pain into the Staravia's wings harshly. It was now going into a berserk state and hopping to it's feet with the bits of debris still clinging to his eyes with no trace of stopping. Pidgey rocketed back to perch on the safety of your shoulder as you two watched the maniacal scene of the starling kicking and punching the air with intense pressure in each thrust. Everyone on the other side of the field were biting their nails and were thinking these exact words: OMFG WE'RE GOING TO GET OUR ASSES HANDED TO US! You couldn't hear it, but the way they showed it on their faces was priceless. Rex was in th heat of the moment. He felt like he was the one fighting instead of Pidgey. This guy was really cocky in the beginning of the battle. He too thought the little bird couldn't last one minute. It's cleary that they lasted more than one minute. Rex had a good idea again. He wasn't going to tell the Pidgey to attack aright away. Rex watched the Pokémon wasting away energy jabbing at the air. Rex was going to let the Pokémon waste energy for away so that Pidgey wouldn't have no problems. He folded his arms and just watched the poor Pokémon. He would give the win to then but it was to close to the end to just give up just because he felt sorry. "Okay... Pidgey go in there and attack it's left wing. Watch out for the other wing." Rex said watching. |

Wrapped up on being the best, the trainer who Staravia belonged to seemed to be forgetting on what he was really suppose to be doing; commanding his pokémon to victory rather than a pathetic defeat. Stabilizing himself into a new train of thought, the trainer decided to do what's best for his Starvia at this point: full out attack. While his trainer thought up a plan, the beaten-up bird quickly pulled itself up, trying to look powerful as every. Unnoticed before, this pokémon's special ability of Intimidation seemed to finally kick in. Standing tall, chest puffed out, and speed ready to rock and roll, the bird was just about as scary as it was going to get. Something with the trainer finally clicked, meaning it was his time to issue some pretty strategic plans. "Wings out or not, we're going to do all we can to win this! Start off with double team, that should confuse the foe." Staravia took immediate action to his trainer's wishes, hastily creating a good number of copies of himself. After a while, there were two solid Starvia, and about three faded outlines of the bird. Surely Pidgey would have a hard time deciphering between which was which. The enemy trainer smirked, signifying his plan had gone just as expected. "Now show 'em your speed! Quick Attack into Pidgey!" In a sudden rush, all five of the Staravia (two of them appearing as real birds, three of them simple outlines) charged directly into Pidgey who was thought to have had a steady lead on this battle. Starvia's assault was strictly ground based, which showed his wing was still a bit too weak to fly on. However, Pidgey couldn't have planned for this at this point. Flapping close to the ground, Pidgey could do nothing more than brace itself at this point. In a dash of color, all five of the Staravia smashed into Pidgey, but the one that was behind him seemed to be the most dominate in doing damage. Unsure of which bird was which, inexperienced Pidgey pecked away at the one closest and easiest to access, which was the one on his left. The little bird pecked at it, only to reveal it was one of the double team clones. Fading out into nothing, the clone was completely disappeared, which left only two outline-clones, and two solid-figure birds, one of which was the real Staravia. Just when he thought things were going his way. Pidgey had finally tooken some damage in this battle. Pidgey was doing good for a level three Pokémon against a level fourteen Staravia. Rex would of used a different Pokémon that would be good in this battle. He made a promise though, Nurse Joy wanted him to use the Pidgey to battle. Rex is a type of person that keeps his promises. If he didn't, he would of used one of his stronger Pokémon like Houndour or Gastly. Gastly would of been the best choice. Okay, so this trainer was going to fight back finally. Rex saw his Pidgey being surrounded by a couple of Staravia because of the double team. Rex was going to do what Pidgey did early. "Pidgey, kick sand in all the Staravia until you find the real one, once you do tackle it." Hopefully this will do some good. |

Good plan "Ho-ha! Fighting back, eh? Don't let that fool discover us, use your speed to bash it with wing attack and then double team to g-t-f-o." Gripping his rather scruffy chin, the opposing trainer seemed to have thrown out the perfect battle plan. Clearly, he was going to exploit the closeness to the best of his ability. Commanding his little warrior on 'roids, the trainer could only sit back and watch now. Doing exactly as they were ordered, each one of the Staravia (referring to the material one and its copies.) took out their wings, bashing them into Pidgey. The petite bird went flying forward, which was a clear-cut sign that that one was most likely the material copy Pidgey was looking to attack. While stumbling into the air in a front flip, Pidgey in fact noticed that this was the one she should have been attacking from the start. Trying to recover herself, the bird brushed off the dust that accumulated on her from landing on the ground. While brushing off all the dust that somehow got all up in her feathers, Pidgey found it best to flap her wings outward, sending the dirt in a whirlwind of sand right at the enemy Staravia. All of the clones were surrounding the bird inevitably were turned back into nothing. With its cover blown, Staravia felt it was time to live out the second part of its trainer's orders. quickly shifting spots to form a triangle, Staravia made a good three solid copies of himself. One of the Staravia double teams were in the air, while the other two were planted on the ground either to the left or right of Pidgey. At this rate, Pidgey had a one in three chance of attacking the right bird head on, most likely immobilizing it, but also had the fear of being directly attack and taking even more damage that it did before. Snap, this will be pretty close. Level 3 ![]() 11/31 31%======== ======== Level 14 ![]() 24/53 48%(-2 Acc, +2 Evasion) |

Rex watched what was happening. Things were going bad and unless he had a plan on how to win he would lose. Rex's Pidgey had a one in three chance of attacking the right bird head on, most likely immobilizing it, but also had the fear of being directly attack and taking even more damage that it did before. Rex was thinking of a way to find the right Staravia. If Pidgey went in the air to attack that one, the other two could attack. Lucky for him he had another idea that could help him get the right one. There was one clue in finding the right Staravia, which was it's left wing. "Pidgey try this move out, Gust and see which one's left wing is injured then Tackled that once." Rex was hoping this would work. |

Wow, thats a huge level difference. Good for you that you have held on this long, however, could you hold on any longer? By the looks of things the odds were against you, but what are stats nowadays? Your pidgey flew back slightly, gathering all three Staravia's in her sight. With a quick few flaps of her wings, the sharp slices of wind cut threw the three Staravia's, making two of them dissapear. The one highest in the air was revealed the correct one, and was immobilized by Pidgey's gust, however weak it was. With a quick flap of the wings Pidgey glided into Staravia, knocking it out of the sky and onto the floor. Staravia had other idea's however, once again he began to increase in numbers, this time sending out just 1 clone. Both birds got up and began to fly, coming in at Pidgey in opposite directions, either side of Pidgey. Get her out of there quick! Lv. 3 11/31 24%Vs.
