Rex watched what just happen. It seemed as the Starly flew off in the clouds away from the Pokémon Center. Zap just turned around and walked toward the trainer. "Oh well Zap, we'll find another Starly." He said getting ready to send Pikachu back to it's pokeball. Next thing he knew the bird came through the clouds and scratch the Pikachu. "What!" Rex shouted looking at the two Pokémon. That little bird was a tricky little devil, which made him want it even more. Just watching the battle made he excited about catching Starly.

"Ok Zap, keep your guard up and try to knock out of the air with Thundershock and fallow it up with Tackle." The trainer commanded the yellow mouse. Hopefully his Pikachu could take the Pokémon down, not only to capture it but to keep it from harming anything else. Rex kept his eye on the both Zap and the Starly so nothing wouldn't go wrong. Starly would also be a good addition as well, maybe it will replace Pidgey on his team.

Starly glared at you with blood on its mind, thinking of how it could possibly spill yours as well as Pikachu's. The rat would be her lunch, something that she was desperately trying to get, but hadn't been able to yet. But you would be the victory that she would love to tell all of her friends about so that they would be jealous. I didn't know this, but apparently there's a whole group of Starly about who are going around and trying to kill people. So far none of them have vanished, so I wonder if maybe whatever is taking the wild Pokémon just doesn't want these ones. Oh wait, you haven't heard? Well I'll tell you later, once you're done with this battle, if you even make it through the whole thing.

With his back still stinging, Zap whirled around to lash out with the Thundershock, but found that Starly had already flown off again. With what had happened before still in mind, Zap turned back around and started walking towards you again. But he was walking a lot slower and his ears were turned back, so when Starly came back, he whirled back around. Starly squawked and tried to stop, but Zap had already unleashed a Thundershock upon his enemy, and the bird fell. Once she had hit the ground, Pikachu ran over with a Tackle attack, hitting the fowl perfectly, and sending her airborne again. Mad, she used a Growl followed by a Tackle of her own.

Pokémon have been disappearing around the region? He had no idea this was going on, the only crazy thing he re-calls seeing was the Pokémon hunters on route 2. They had these weird pokeballs that explode when you caught a Pokémon. Rex really could say anything about them because he stoled a Pikachu from them. Rex re-foucus on the battle before him. "Looks like that Starly knows Fly.... Everytime it looks like it's flying away it comes back to attack." Rex said to himself. He definitely wanted this little bird now more than ever. If he wasn't able to catch this Pokémon he would be pissed off. Just like the time he was going to a Pikachu, but it was too late to save it.

When the bird Pokémon came back, Zap let loose a Thundershock. The Starly got caught in the attack and hit the hard earth. "Ok Zap, it isn't over yet.. Use Bite and once you got a hold of her let loose a strong Thundershock. Also dodge anything that comes at you." Rex commanded the yellow mouse. Zap noded and went to work. Rex hopped his plan would work out for the best. For sure after, he would goto a open area and train his Pokémon. Especially Houndour, basicly the leader out of all his Pokémon. He wasn't the strongest Pokémon but he was the head hunch besides Rex.

Oh, you just found out then? It's been on the news for a few hours now, but since you only just got into Wayford, it would have been a little hard to notice. No one really seemed to mind too much, but there was an air of fear about. Specifically, fear of the unknown. If Pokémon are disappearing, what about all the humans? Will people disappear too? Family, friends, loved ones, the list goes on. But, maybe it's just best to concentrate on this Starly for now.

Starly was up and flying again; although, not quite as strong as she was. All these electrical attacks were taking their toll. Your little yellow mouse ran up and tried to sink his little teeth into the bird. Starly was expecting it. She smirked and vanished right before your Pikachu's eyes. Moments later, Starly reappeared, slamming into Zap's side. Luckilly for you, your Pikachu was already charging up for the Thundershock. He released the stored energy moments after impact, filling Starly with plenty of volts. Starly's bloodthirsty nature seemed to peek as it's mindset turned to desperation. She admitted that she was losing this battle but was ready to win, no matter what the cost. Starly then used a Growl to show that she would not be outdone. Your move.

From Rex's point of view, Zap was doing pretty good for it's first battle being commanded. When he thought about it, Zap probably had a lot of Pokémon battles. During his time on route 2 he saw Pikachu fighting off two Pokémon hunters. Zap was easyly over powering them, that's until they used a special pokeball. Rex watched as Zap missed the Starly with the Bite attack. "Zap, that Starly is pretty quick, use Tail Whip and follow it up with a Thundershock." The young trainer commanded his Pokémon.

Rex had no clue about what was going on around the Tohea Region, but he would find out after this battle. Then the thought of his sister came to mind, what if she was in Wayford City? The hard part about looking for her is he doesn't know what she looks like. His father should of gave him a picture so he could know at least what she looked like. Rex looked as his stomach as it growled. "Guess Pokémon aren't the only ones that can use growl." Rex said. Training could wait after he ate first. Can't train on a empty stomach.

((Congradulations on receiving the first ever House ref.))

As you were reminiscing on Zap's past, the Starly was up in the sky yet again and preparing to come down and with yet another Scratch. For some reason Zap was disobaying you yet again and going its own way. He was probably think that it could do better without you. That's rather snoby of him.

Zap let out a Thundershock attack at the Starly and was able to shoot it out of the sky. It came down and hit the ground so hard that it became paralyzed. It tried to get up but was too hurt from the attack that it couldn't move. Now would probably be the best time to capture it.

Just as you were about to do whatever it was you were going to do you noticed another bird-like figure in the cornor of your eye. It was probably attracted by the sound of the battle and might what to battle itself.

So what do you say? Make it another battle and might be captured Pokémon?

Just when he thought the Pikachu was doing good. It would probably be sometime before Zap would obey him. Rex caught it only like five hours or so ago. That's all apart of training Pokémon, training them to the fullest so they obey no matter what. At least Pikachu got the job done, even if it wasn't Rex's way. Rex took out a Pokeball, "Zap, I'm a little disappointed in you... Return." He said as the red beam shot at the Pikachu, returning it to his Pokeball. Zap had a lot of training a head, as well as Rex.

He took out an empty Pokeball and looked at the Starly. "Alright, this is it." Rex said throwing the Pokeball at the bird on the floor. The young trainer was hopping that he could capture the bird. As he watch the Pokeball another Pokémon appeared. Rex aimmed his Poketech at the Pokémon to get some infomation on it. Natu, the Tiny Bird. It picks food from cactus plants, deftly avoiding buds and spines. It seems to skip about to move. "Another good Pokémon that would be good for the team." He said taking a Pokeball out. He tossed the Pokeball to the ground. "Psyduck use Water Gun." He commanded.

You throw a Pokeball at the Starly hoping to catch it. During the time you waited for it to lock, you withdrew Zap and spoted a Natu. You sent out Psyduck hoping to catch this one too. Once Psyduck was out, the ball containing the Starly lock and was captured.

Congradulations! You cought the Starly!
Zap gained 96 :exp !
Zap gained a level!
Zap is now level 7!
Zap has 53 :exp left over!

You cought the Starly and was probably over-joyed about it. That and Zap gained a level. Now back to focusing on the battle at hand. You told your Psyduck to use Water Gun and it did. The attack hit and it was lucky enough to land critically. The Natu was serverly damaged and it wasn't happy about it. It fly over and started useing Peck on your duck. The attack hit a few times and it was trying to get even with you.

This round was over and even though this battle just started it was about over. It's your turn. Good luck!

Rex kept quiet as the Pokeball wiggled on the hard earth. He wanted to make sure he caught the Pokémon before he would jump around with excitement. When the Pokeball stop moving he went over and picked the Pokeball up. "Yes! Welcome to the team Starly." He said. His attention then turned to the Pokémon that came to watch the battle. It was funny how this was his secound time seeing a bird Pokémon. Were the bird Pokémon making things disappear? Well, Rex had yet to find out what was going on. When his Psyduck was released from the Pokeball, it made one of it's funny looking faces. Rex just remember he was still battling outside the Pokémon Center.

When Rex told the duck to attack the Natu, it just looked around a bit before looking at the Pokémon infront of him. The Psyduck then let loose a Water Gun on the Natu, landing a lot of damage on it. So far things were going in his favour right now. Things usually turn around eventruly, but he was hopping it wouldn't. Rex watched as the Natu started Pecking at his Psyduck. "The little guy is standing his ground, I like that... Psyduck, you Psychic and fallow it up with another Water Gun." The trainer said from behind Psyduck.

Unfortunately, it seems that you used some wrong words in your commands, and so Psyduck didn't use Psychic. You see, you said, "Psyduck, you Psychic and fallow it up with a Water Gun," which made your duck think you were calling it a psychic. Natu took this moment to use an Agility, increasing its speed enough so when it took off, it dodged the Water Gun sent its way. Then the bird shot out a Night Shade, before zooming by Psyduck again, only confusing him a bit. Now he didn't know what else to do because there were no other commands coming from you as of yet.

Staring intently at Psyduck, Natu waited to see what would happen next, and you knew that this battle was going to be tougher than you thought. It looks like this bird isn't ready to give up just yet. Oh, and next time you give out commands, you might want to make sure you don't twist your tongue. We know that we don't want similar results like this round to happen again, right?

Apparently Rex gave orders to his Pokémon, but he didn't say it in the right way. The Psyduck did use a Water Gun however, but the Natu easily dodge by using Agility. Rex just watched as the Psyduck made a complete fool of it's self. The funny thing was, he was more embarassed than the yellow duck. If it wasn't for him, Psyduck wouldn't be losing and what not. Rex stared as the Natu stared at Psyduck, who still had the funny look on his face. Rex could tell the Natu was some what enjoying this battle. It probably wanted to see if he would be captured in the end.

The young trainer looked at the two bird Pokémon before him. It was time for him to clear his head and relax. He was to worried about losing that he forgot to have fun with the whole thing. "Okay Psyduck, use Psychic and follow it up with Water Gun, if you can use Scratch as well." He commanded the yellow duck. Hopefully he said it right this time, he wouldn't want the same result as the last.

This time there was no confusion as to what you meant, as the right words were used and everything. Natu was hit with the Psychic, although it didn't do as much damage as it would if he wasn't a Psychic type himself. As a matter of fact, this only angered him and caused him to fly at the duck Pokémon, getting hit in the face with the Water Gun. Taking his chance, Psyduck dashed towards the other bird and used a Scratch like you had asked, finishing off your opponent.

Victorious, Psyduck stared at his enemy before turning to you with a questioning look on his face. "Psy? Psy-y-yduck?" It was asking you if it seriously actually just won this battle, thinking that it would be a lot harder than that. Then again, I would have thought so too after that big mistake you made last time, but it looks like you definitely pulled through. So, Psyduck gains 56 :exp points from this battle, which I will add in right away. You just need to think about what you want to do, whether to catch the bird or just go find something else to do.

Lucky for Rex, things worked out in the end. This time he gave the Psyduck commands instead of confusing the poor thing. Rex saw that the Psychic really didn't do much to the Natu, seeing as it was a Psychic type as well. He didn't let that faze him that much though, because Psyduck was still on it's feet. The yellow duck had perfect timein' with the Water Gun attack. With that it was basicly over for now, but Psyduck finished it off with Scratch to make sure it was over. Rex watched as the Pokémon laid there on the ground.

Psyduck had finished off the Natu, and it was time for it to be captured. "Good job Psyduck, take a long rest." He said before returning it to it's Pokeball. Rex then reached for a empty Pokeball in his backpack. He then sent it flying at the bird Pokémon before him. After thinking about it, he probably wouldn't want to keep Natu. Instead of releasing it though, he would trade to a trainer that he feels would take care of it. Instead of thinking about that stuff, he would see if he caught it though.

No longer confused, because he knew that he must have made you happy, Psyduck was sucked up into the Pokeball. But that's not the only Pokémon being sucked up into one of those spheres that enslaves a creature to a person. The Pokeball you threw hit Natu, as if the poor bird hasn't been hit enough by Psyduck. Once inside, it didn't wiggle at all, having been fainted, and the red and white orb thing gave its ding of capture. After that is all said and done, it appears that there's a few more things you would like to do.

You walked quickly to the Pokémon Center and entered, looking around and seeing many people there. They were all huddled around the television set that was giving a news segment on disappearing wild Pokémon. Handing over your Pokémon, you listened further, finding out that wild Pokémon are becoming harder to find. It was a good thing you found that Natu then, huh, because maybe those wouldn't be quite so easy to find from now on. As a matter of fact, they won't be, as the most common of the common are hard to find, and rare Pokémon might as well have died out. Further more, it appears that they are also vanishing before peoples very eyes, cheating them out of capture and experience.

Nurse Joy finished healing your Pokémon and handed them over to you, smiling her ever so delightful smile. Then you quickly walked over to the P.C. and logged on and began to make your transfer of Pokémon. Once that was all done you... well... what did you do?

Rex took the Pokeball that contain Psyduck and put it on his belt. The duck did a very good job and did everything it was told. After that, he turned his attention to the Natu that had been consumed by the Pokeball. Without even wiggling one time, the Pokeball made a ding. Rex walked up to the ball and picked it up. "Well Natu, hopefully I can find a good trainer for you." He said putting the Pokeball away. A smirk appeared on his face as he walked in the Pokémon Center to see a lot of trainers. As he waitted in line for his Pokémon to get healed he could hear some stuff on the tv.

The tv said something about wild Pokémon disappearing. After he got his Pokémon healed he went to the PC to put some Pokémon away and withdraw some. Rex end up withdrawing Cthooloo, Starly, Jigglypuff and Natu before leaving the center. "So, wild Pokémon are disappearing huh? There is always something wrong in this Region. First the arrival of Cthooloo.... Cthooloo!" He said reaching for a Pokeball on his belt. Rex open the Pokeball that contained the blue wing monster, Cthooloo also nicknamed as Blue.

Cthooloo was a Pokémon from outter space or something that came to this Region in October. Rex first encounter witht his Pokémon was on route two and it took his whole team of Pokémon to beat it. In the end he had no choice but to catch because if he didn't it would of destroyed everything in sight. Rex knew this Pokémon would come in handy, because of it's size and it's wings. This Pokémon was able to fly a trainer on his back and Rex knew that for a fact. The young trainer climb onto Cthooloo's back. "We're going back to Tohea City." Rex said hanging on to the Pokémon's back as it flapped it's wings.
