Ah, the glorious city of Tohea. All around you, people browsed the shops and seeme to just stare at you in general. Well, could you blame them? It wasn't common to see a young kid out wandering the town alone. Strangely enough, no one had asked you if you were lost or not. That might have been a good thing really.

Unfortunately, you're size and age had attracted the wrong kind of crowd. A couple of kids probably only a few years older than you stood in your way. They glared down at you before one finally spoke up. "You a Pokémon trainer? You look like you still wet the bed."

The kids around him laughed and he soaked it up. "Yeah, I bet he still wears diapers!"

They howled now as the first one spoke again. "Listen kid, if you want to pass us, you gotta show us what ya got. Battle, right now." The kid plucked his PokeBall from his belt and released the somewhat mad looking Stunky. It snorted at you, sounding suspiciously like something else.

Neo had taken the time to absorb the homely atmosphere of this world famous town. It was but a short time since he had arrived via ship to the city's port. Magnex was rather impatient during the entire trip. It wasn't use to traveling long distances in its pokeball and was usually always at the side of its young trainer. As soon as Neo and his Pokémon arrived, Magnex was able to roam around the large city with its trainer.

Walking down the street was rather enjoyable; the sun glistened in every direction and the city was warmed by its powerful rays. Neo rose both of his arms to stretch. "Hey, Magnex," he released along with a yawn. His hovering Pokémon let out a machine-like sound and rolled itself around. Neo smiled and quickly embraced the large mechanoid. Magnex let out a peculiar sound and rolled its single eye the the top left corner of the lens.

Neo and his Pokémon partner continued onward. Along the way were various shops and centeres that didn't exactly shine off in an interesting way. Neo was actually quite interested in a certain shop, but didn't have any money. He decided to window shop at said store. 'Woo, those computers seem advance, I'm sure its processor is ten times mine!' Magnex had seen an oncoming crew. It carefully inspected them with its large lens. It didn't like what the lens fed to its highly-intelligent core. Megnex nudged its trainer with the end of the magnet on its core. Neo quickly turned to see what exactly his Pokémon wanted, "Hey, what's up, bud?"

Neo turned to see the rather culling group. He sighed to himself as they tormented him with their words. Deciding that for the sake of training, this battle would be best, of course, only if it was considerably fair. "Deal, guys. But, I have one condition; the battle needs to be of the utmost in fairness. I don't want anything suspicious going on, guys." Neo wasn't exactly going anywhere with this, but he tried.

The first thing that he'd do bearing the acceptance of his conditions will be for him to tell Magnex to launch a horrible Metal Sound that will allow him to lower the defense of the Pokémon. Chances are that if that attack lands, Tackle will be used to project himself into the skunk Pokémon. However, if things don't go exactly the way he expects, Metal Sound will be used to weaken the defense of the enemy Pokémon even more.

As the boy's who had been taunting you thought it over, the first one looked at you and smirked. "Don't think that just cause you requested it, that was the only reason we decided this. Yeah, we'll play fair, but don't expect me to go easy on you squirt." He said as he waited for you to make the first move.

The boys that had come with the 'leader' brat seemed to move to the sides, creating a circle large enough for you two to battle in, and since they were surroudning you, it was only natural that other kids and adults would come around too. Odd, Adults watching two kids battle, and they don't do anything. Well, it seemed as though this was typical here, so meh,

"Kid, take the first move." The boy opposite you said as he waited for you to attack him and his stunky already, over confident, as if he knew he was going to win the battle already, but would you let that happen?

Lucas was ecstatic about the thought of his first real battle. Magnex seemed to be weary about it, but Lucas would encourage him on. The small Magnemite hovered over above the battle field and began to release small charges of electricity. The atmosphere of onlookers was somewhat encouraging, but Lucas's didn't really know who's side they'd taken. "Alright, Magnex, let's start off with tackle!"

Of course, Magnex wasn't 100% on how battling works, but he knew that tackle meant for him to throw himself into the other Pokémon. Focusing a bit, Magnex locked onto his target : Stunky. As a form of battle cry, a horrible screech was released by the magnetic sphere. Magnex dove right toward the Pokémon, turning into a bit of a spiral like motion. Lucas glowed with much anticipation as Magnex hurled itself into the enemy. The only thing he was focused on right now was this battle.

Well the boy had a bit more battle experience than you, and easily was able to maneuver around a simple tackle. Magnex's lack of battle experience gave it a bit of a handicap. The poor magnemite screeched and lashed out like a rabid monkey. The two magnet arms swung around the body madly as it lunged at Stunky.

"Jump back, use poison gas."

The Stunky jumped back. and Magnex collided with the ground. With a body as hard as steel it didn't hurt much. Magnex floated, staring at the Stunky with curiosity. The boy started takign a few steps back and his gang was pushing the crowd back, making the circle bigger. It looked suspicious but what was going on? Stunky was walking backwards also as the black smoke escaped from it's mouth. The poison gas drifted over Magnex. being a steel type the poison type attack had no effect. Magnex stayed stationary, totally clueless. Once everyone was a safe distance away from the cloud of gas the boy opened his mouth.

"Flamethrower."

Your eyes widened. Had this bully bought a TM for it's Pokémon? A powerful and devastating one at that for you Magnemite. The flame rolled out of the Stunky's mouth. The sight of it was too much for you to bear. Magnex was invisible in the cloud of poison gas, totally oblivious to the flame. As soon as the long flame made contact with the cloud, there was a large explosion. Magnex flew straight up in the air. The force made you and the crowd step back further. There was a loud clank and you opened your eyes. Magnex was on the ground, completely immobile and charred from the flame.

"Sorry kid, you just don't measure up. Come back when you learn something. Some on!"

The boy turned and walked away, his friends and his Stunky walking away cackling madly.

{{Sorry about my snobbish OOC attitude. I should learn to respect my superiors.}}

Upon seeing the gas go up, Lucas knew that his Pokémon was doomed, he fell to the ground. Perhaps this was a rather good lesson for Lucas. He sighed with his defeat and decided to recall his Pokémon into the red and white pokeball it had come out of. Lucas looked around from side to side, noticing everyone, everyone laughing at him. Tears only existed in his mind; he sighed once more, returning the pokeball to his pocket. Lucas got up off the ground.

Walking himself through the town must have been rather hard. Lucas knew no one here. Everything was alien to him. Lucas continued on, searching for a Pokémon center. Surely somewhere in town there had to be one. Upon finding one, he'll enter it and quickly check in with the hospice who could care for his poor Magnex. Really, Magnex was all he had, sides a few contacts he had kept with his homeland.

Up ahead, the Pokémon Center stood in the bright light. It was sort of a beacon for Pokémon trainers of all ages. People went in and out at an alarming rate. Inside, the lobby was packed with people. A couple of assistants were running PokeBalls of all shapes and colors to the back and right back out again. A stretcher wheeled on by you, an unconscious Clefairy lying still on it. Her trainer ran on by with her, almost in tears.

And assistant came up to you, asking for your Pokémon. He promised it would only take about ten minutes at the latest for it to be healed up. Now, alone, you stood in the middle of the lobby and tried to not be in the way.

A group of kids sat around on the benches. They laughed and talked amongst themselves about something. Inching closer, you could hear them now talking about the reef out in the ocean.

"I heard there were a bunch of rare Pokémon out there. I've always wanted to go out there to see for myself though," the girl said.

"Yeah, I heard some guy caught a Squirtle on the reef."

"That's nothing. My friend said he saw a Seadra out there!"

The kids all "ooo"ed at that. The assistant had come back, handing you your PokeBall with Magnex in it. He then raced off to tend to what looked like a Houndour with a broken leg walking in the door. Checking out the reef might not be a bad idea. Magnex was definitely strong against Water-types and it should end up better than your last fight.

The inside of the large building was just as astonishing as the outside. Lucas walked along, but a graceful and kind assistant came right to him. He didn't even have to ask! Lucas handed the man his Pokémon as he explained the situation.

"These immature kids decided to make me look like the newb in town. Eh, my Magnex got knock out pretty fast. Could you help?" With a nod, the man took his pokeball. "Ten minutes at the least." Lucas smiled and walked off to rest on the wall. Lucas had overheard some other kids talking about a reef, but he had no way to make it to said reef. Lucas sighed as the man that had initially taken his Pokémon arrived.

Both exchanged nods and Lucas grabbed Magnex's pokeball. He instantly let the Pokémon out of the ball. "I know you hate that thing, bud." He told the Pokémon was it appeared before him. Lucas looked over to the crowd of kids who were still going on. Something about a Kingdra attracted Lucas in their direction, but after a recap of this city's kids, he reconsidered.

Lucas make a u-turn and left for the door, Magnex trailing behind. As they walked into the sunny town, the aroma of the ocean invited Lucas. He thought about it, and then turned to Magnex. "Hey, Magnex." Magnex turned away from the wall he was facing and faced his trainer. "Care to train by the ocean?" Magnex's emotion drive kicked in and its eye turned into a ^ shape. Lucas smiled and the two walked toward the direction of the beach.

Upon entering the beach, Lucas would begin to train his Pokémon to master a specific move he didn't know yet. Lucas pulled out his pokedex to check up on something. The entry page was fixed on a Magnemite's info. Lucas checked out somethings, and then shut the device. "Well, Magnex, let's try for Thundershock!" Magnex made a joyful sound (if you enjoy screeching and other robotic cries) and spun around in circles. The light bulb above Lucas's head went off. "Magnex! You should try and generate electricity while spinning like that!"

Magnex agreed by continuing to spin. He spun about six times, but no sign of a spark seemed to show. Lucas had a puzzled look on his face. "Hm, try it again, but this time faster!" Magnex once again spun in the same direction, trying to produce a electrical current. "That's it! Keep going! Once you've got the energy built up release it to the sand!" Magnex continued to spin, but there was no clear cut sign of any electricity being generated.

Magnex went round and round. Like a carousel on speed. Colors rushed by his lone eye, blues, golds, creams, and reds. Sounds whistled in his nonexistent ears as he lost his hearing. The air grew hot then as his spinning increased in speed. Both magnets seemed to be pulled from their sockets as his eye shut then. Shudders went through him, the static building. It crept around him, focusing to his little screwtop.

Around you, the air grew warm. The entire place felt like someone had rubbed their socks against the carpet or ran a balloon in their hair. A few of the Krabbies wandering around scuttled off to hide. Something was coming and it probably wasn't in their best interest to stick around.

A spark flew out, landing in the ocean. It shattered, sending little bolts up into the air. The attack was barely a tickle against even a Water-type though. Magnex stopped spinning, looking as dizzy as a Spinda. His eye held a whirly symbol instead of the usual dot. The screw on his head still spun as well. The little body fell out of the air and landed on the sand. He needed to recover a bit before continuing as the spinning had nearly made him sick, however that happens to a Magnemite. Either way, a spark had been created and it was only a matter of time before it became a controlled jolt.

Lucas was ecstatic over the sheer ides that a spark was created from his very own Pokémon. He watched as Magnex continued to spin, trying to produce some more electricity. Neo figured that the spinning would soon wear on him; it eventually did. Magnex couldn't put it up anymore- he stopped spinning are retreated to the ground. Lucas rushed over to greet his Pokémon half way to the ground. He scooped the Magnemite out of the air and gave it a bit of a hug, trying to avoid the magnets that surely prowled with electricity.

Lucas had allowed his Pokémon to rest up a bit in the sand. While Magnex was getting ready for round two, Lucas was reading up on things about Thundershock. "Thundershock is en electric type attack. Well duh." Lucas paused to try and find something that wasn't so bluntly obvious. "Hm, it says here the foe has a slight chance of contracting a paralysis. Impressing." Lucas nodded as he closed the book he was reading and began to filter through some additional info on his PokeDex. He found some things on how the move is preformed and such; Magnex seemed to be on the right path.

After a few minutes of recuperating rest, Lucas rose, and signaled his Pokémon to rise too. Magnex hovered off the ground, but it was still clearly tired from the last round of training. Lucas looked toward it, eyes in a begging sense, "I need you to try and current some more sparks. This time, in addition to spinning try and harness what nature has left for us. Try and channel the electrodes from the particles of matter that make up our surroundings. And make sure to slow down on the spinning, don't be so vigorous about it; just try and gather the static you feel that you've produced!" And so Magnex started up again, spinning around and around, producing an electrical current, of some sort. Lucas waited for the outcome.

Magnex floated up into the air, making sure to give you some room. He didn't want to accidentally hurt you or hit you or suddenly call forth a meteor to land on you. Rolling his non existant shoulders, he began to spin again. It was slower this time so that he wasn't as dizzy. The sand began to blur as the colors ran into each other. The sea crashed against the ground, sounding like it was coming from all sides. Around him, the entire world became one color.

The sparks came faster this time. He was pulling in the static from the air as well as the static from his spinning body. In fact, you could see the glow moving in to focus around his screwtop. The glow was blue in color as the static energy increased. The ball was bigger this time around as he pulled more and more energy in. It sparked violently although still not very dangerous looking.

He stopped spinning, sending the charge to the left of your person. It slammed into the ground, spreading out harmlessly. Several small patches were a bit burnt and it was a lot more powerful that the first spark had been. A snorlax would've been able to feel that one. Magnex swayed from side to side as the colors began to separate. The sand came back as did the sky. He found himself upside down at that point and flipped around to look at you the right way. He floated to you, the world still spinning. Another break was needed but maybe he didn't have to spin this time to gather the static in if he could do so now.

[[Major name comfusion in the last like 9 posts. My character on Tohea is Neo, not Lucas. I'm too lazy/Tohea is too laggy to edit all the above posts, but anytime I said Lucas it ment Neo.]]

Neo understood on how his Pokémon, Magnex, was conjouring the energy needed. It didn't seem like the static was strictly formed from spinning, although it did make it easy for the energy to be gathered. In battle, however, there would never be enough time to spin and release the energy each turn. Neo pondered on another alternative on trying to gather the energy. Magnex silently hovered above his trainer, but Neo wanted to let it rest while he thought some things up.

Neo shifted through applications on his Poketech, looking for something that could be of use. Finding nothing of use, Neo decided to try and ponder up something himself. "A battle's what we need, Magnex" Magnex seemed to be tired, but it rose above its trainer's head and let out a bit of a screech noise, "Maaaaag!" Neo jumped out form the sandy beach and looked around for something/someone to battle against, although he was looking strictly for a wild water typed Pokémon.

Upon finding a water type, Neo would most likely locate it in a situation where he had the upside, on land that is. Deciding against any trainer battles, the search for his wild target was on. Neo searched for easy stuff along the beach, tracking anything he thought would be an easy target. Magnex silently hovered behind, also on the search for a wild Pokémon to make battles with.

Considering the fact that you were along a beach, it shouldn't take you or Magnex too long to find an opponent. However, most of the Pokémon that you noticed were either inside deeper water or flying in the sky out of your reach. It was pretty annoying, really. Luck was really looking down on you right now...Or was it?

Suddenly, you stepped on something soft, and you had just enough time to look down at what you had stepped on before you were pounced on. You had trodden on a dull orange tail, and the owner obviously wasn't very happy with what you had just done. A big claw filled your vision, and was chomping right in front of your face threateningly.

:corphish :male Lv. 6

Not only had you trodden on the little guy's tail, but you had possibly trespassed on his turf as well. If Magnex hadn't Tackled the thing off of you in time, you'd probably be in worse trouble than you were in now. Magnex was now glaring angrily at the Corphish, with sparks dancing off of his magnetic poles.

Your move.

Nearly getting clamped by powerful pincers was nothing but a start of what was to come. Magnex's superior judgment of protecting his trainer came about as he flew his tough magnetic body into the wild crab that was trying to smash his trainer about. Neo fell slightly to the sandy beach which absorbed his fall. This area would be a bit too sandy, per say, to battle on. Neo spotted a wave gently gliding onto the beach. Neo nodded as he rose from the ground. "Alright, Magnex, let's get this guy down to the beach!" Neo got up swiftly, and rushed toward the ocean's mouth. Magnex hovered swiftly behind.

Neo kicked his shoes off as he made it into the water. Magnex followed behind, beginning to spark a slight bit at his poles. Neo noticed that the wild crab most likely wouldn't be coming after him unless he gave it a good reason. Neo scoped up some sand and shot it at the ground next to the wild crab. He had missed, but Magnex was able to hit it dead on with a tickle of electric energy. Nothing big, but something to make it charge the two into the gentle ocean. Neo gave the commands to his Pokémon without further hesitation. "Alright, Magnex, you've come this far with your attack, theres no point to soften up now! I want you to shoot whatever kind of energy you can pull from the air!" Magnex spun around and began to charge his attack. He decided to not spin, but rather try and pull the electricity down from the sky. Their goal was no longer Thundershock, but something stronger: Thunderbolt.

Magnex let out a metallic grunt to show he understood. He stood, or hovered, between you and the lobster looking Pokémon with a mad eyebrow now on his eye. The Corphish wasn't too happy either as he scuttled down to the waves. He stood where the water met the land, claws snapping threateningly at the two of you. You better know what you're doing as this Pokémon didn't look like he was going to go easy on you.

Magnex began pulling in the energy from the air. Since it was full of it, it wouldn't take too long. However, the energy was having trouble staying with him. It would move from one pole to the next, as though trying to figure out where it needed to be. The constantly moving made him spark wildly as more and mor gathered. Unable to hold it, Magnex released the bolt of lightning.

Only the bolt suddenly spread out into smaller, weaker ones after only a couple of feet. Several died on their way to the ocean, fizzling out in midair. Only one made contact with the Corphish and it barely did anything. A small black spot appeared on his carapace though. So, yay?

Corphish wasn't impressed. Gurgling, he blew out several bubbles from where his mouth seemed to be. They flew forward, smacking in Magne who wasn't in any shape to move out of the way now. His magnets drooped a bit as just the execution of the move had drained him for the moment.
