Jake walked back, following Abra whom eventually led them back to the site of the theft that Jake comitted. There was a stern looking boy there glaring at Jake and a Ghastly hovering above his shoulder. Jake knew at once what had happened and for a moment time stood still for Jake, it was his own selfish act that had brought this upon him. The boy didn't seem to happy and claimed that he had the power of telepathy and that his Abra told him that he intended to give it back, which was strictly true. Jake looked at Abra and merely smiled taking it in quite good spirits. "What am I gonna do with you eh?" He asked her, she seemed slightly embaressed but Jake merely kept on smiling. "Don't worry about it." Jake had to laugh silently to himself however, this kid claimed he was a telepathist and yet it was Abra who told HIM what had happened. Was that telepathy, or was it his Abra communicating. Jake shook his head and looked towards the Boy. So he ahd the Pidgey and in fact all the cards in this game of Pokémon Poker. (As in the card game Poker, not Pokémon Poking :) ) So he wanted a battle now did he? It was quite sad really that he was picking on the weakest and least battled Pokémon of all his group. Well he knew Budew would try his best and if it got too rough for him then he would get Elekid to step in immediately. He wanted to protect her. He wouldn't attack with Elekid, but merely get him to take any blow if Justin did not agree to end the battle. Budew looked at him, wanting to battle and Jake nodded to him. He began hopping opposite Justin as Jake walked towards him, withdrawing the 3 Pokeballs he had stolen from his bag. He took them to him and dumped them in his hands, he could've taken the Pokeball there and then but Jake figured he was in enough trouble. Jake turned around and began walking back asuming his Budew was up against the Ghastly. "Okay Budew," Jake said still walking back. "I want you to start off the battle with a Growth and then follow it up with a Leaf Storm." Jake said, "Normal attacks aren't going to work here." Jake didn't see how Absorb was going to work in this battle but he would use it at some point, Jake didn't want to rely solely on his Egg move. "Any attacks, or if Ghastly disappears then begin moving immediately." Jake finished arriving at his team and turned around to face Justin. "Begin!" |

Justin smirked as you gave in to his demands, and seemed slightly surprised that you gave up the Pokeballs already. Abra was glaring, but not at you anymore, rather at Justin, who seemed to be getting fidgety. He held up a hand to stop you and Budew from pursuing your current plans and started to change things. It appears that Abra was also angry with Justin for the way he was now behaving, after getting his belongings back. "While you did steal these from me and should be punished, I think that Abra is making a good point with me. You did give them back without a fight, and you are also willing to just do as I say in order to get Pidgey back. Though it is fair that I get a Pokémon battle out of this, it's not fair to pretty much put you in a position where you automatically lose. So, I'm going to give you a couple of options. Either you can keep using your Budew, and I'll use my Level 5 Buizel. Or I'll keep Gastly out and you can choose a different Pokémon to battle with." Abra smiled at you and nodded, letting you know that although she might have gone behind your back and did things herself, she still supported you. You then heard her voice in your head as she told you that she was sorry, but that she just didn't want you to turn into a criminal. She also said that no matter what, you were her master and she'd always look out for your best interests. While this may be confusing, basically it wouldn't be in your best interest to be a criminal would it? Now you understand I'm sure. That said, I believe you should now pick what you want to do about this battle. |

Jake heard the boys plan and all that Abra had done to help him. The things she had done, the things she had negotiated. Jake began to cry in floods of tears and ran up to his Abra and hugged her, nearly choking her. "Abra I'm s...s...s...so sorry!" he said struggling to get his words out. He knew what she was doing was the right thing and he wasn't angry with her. The boy actually seemed quite reasonable considering the circumstances and Jake was more than happy to agree, he wanted to level his Budew up and to make him evolve so he would be using him in battle. He knew that this would mean going up against a Buizel which Budew had an advantage over even though there was a levels difference. "If it's alright with you, i'll stick with my Budew, thanks for the option Justin, i'm sure you think it's more than I deserve." Jake said. He didn't want pity but he wanted him to understand. And though it was unlikely, Jake hoped that they could be friends at the end of it. Jake set down his Abra and looked back towards the arena where their Pokémon would fight. "Okay Budew, just try to remember your fight with Carvanha before!" Jake said in an almost urgent tone. "We'll use the same tactic we would have used against Ghastly; Growth then Leaf Storm!" At least fighting a Buizel would mean they could also use Absorb. Budew nodded and readied himself into a battle position. Another battle! |

Justin raised an eyebrow when he saw you burst into tears and couldn't help but fidget again, a bit uncomfortable. When you told him what you wanted to do with the battle, he nodded and recalled Gastly, who finally was in his Pokeball. Then Buizel was let out of her Pokeball, a Level 6 Buizel as a matter of fact, and you knew that you stood a good chance at this battle. Quickly, Justin told Buizel to use a Sonicboom quickly followed by a Headbutt to make sure that Leaf Storm wasn't executed. You saw Budew appear to grow larger in size, and you knew that Growth must have worked. Right after this, the sonic waves hit, causing 20 HP of damage, which was pretty significant for your plant Pokémon. Then Buizel ran forward quickly as Budew was beginning to charge up for his Leaf Storm attack. Buizel hit with her Headbutt, and at the same exact moment, you saw a huge mass of leaves come flying from around you and strike at Buizel. It was amazing how much power Budew had in order to create such a powerful thing to happen, which completely obliviated Buizel by the way. She was lying there, already knocked out, and Budew was still standing, although barely. But a win is a win. Justin frowned and returned Buizel and walked over to you, with a hand extended for you to shake in a congratulatory way. In his hand you also felt something other than the Pokeball holding your Pidgey, which he was also grabbing to hand to you. He apparently decided to give you some money for whatever reason. Must be that Justin was raised to respect trainers and rightfully give a cash award whenever he lost. Plus he was probably rich anyways and could easily afford it. "Thank you for coming here. You obviously have a strong Budew if he can pull off a move like that." Yes, he was strong, but he was also severely drained and tired now. But hey, you got $175, your Pidgey back, and Budew gained 78 points! Go you! This will be added in right away, both exp and money.

Jake smiled with glee, wiping away the last of his tears and walked over to congratulate his small Pokémon who was now quickly growing to be the powerhouse of his team. Jake didn't expect Budew to evolve at such a low level but he certainly hoped he was proud of himself in dusting off a stronger Pokémon so quickly. Justin walked over to him to congratulate him, for someone who had nothing to prove and had every right to be annoyed with him, he was being very good about it all. He held out his hand to shake with Jake, Jake took it firmly and shook. He then also handed back his Pidgey and also gave him some money! Wow he certainly WAS taking it very well. Abra, Elekid and Lotad ran over to Budew also to congratulate him on his victory as he was slowly returning back to his original size. He smiled and bounced even though still slightly weak from the battle. Jake would take Budew to the Pokémon center after he had delivered the Pidgey to the client in Hurst. And who knew what else he would find on the way? Jake looked at Justin. "Hey what way are you heading?" Jake asked hoping that they could forget the past 10 minutes and start afresh. "I've got to head in to Hurst, fancy coming with me?" Jake asked. He wouldn't be surprised if he declined but still it was always polite to ask and it was always good to have some backup if ever it was needed. -If Justin says yes then we'll go to Hurst together -If Justin says no then I'll go on my own. (Just so it goes a bit quicker :) ) |

Justin looked at you curiously, seeming to size you up, probably because he didn't entirely trust you. So I don't think that he's going to forget what has happened any time soon, even if he did take the battle's ending well. None the less, he did seem to be thinking about your suggestion of going to Hurst City together. He probably actually came from Hurst City and was heading towards Tohea City, which made sense. But he soon nodded his head and slipped a hand down the front of his shirt and pulled out a necklace. Attached to the necklace was the key that must have gone to that small box that was in his bag. Taking the box out, he pushed the key into the lock and turned it, and you heard the lock snap. Opening the box, Justin pulled out a Great Ball that must contain his favorite Pokémon or something. "Hurst City is very dangerous, and it's good to have a Pokémon that can take you out if you really need it. But I would be more than happy to take you there at least, though I'm not sure if I'll stick around. I would like to though. Perhaps this could be an alliance worth making." Smiling, he opened the Great Ball to show that the Pokémon inside was an Abra, and it was pretty powerful. As a matter of fact, it would soon turn into a Kadabra, which would be very handy for that trainer, as I'm sure you would agree. "Abra, please take us to Hurst City again." Now you had an Abra too, although of course she probably wouldn't be able to get you to Hurst City entirely. Then again, maybe she could have. But either way, this Abra was more experienced, and eventually you did find yourself in Hurst City. Looking around, you saw how awful things were. While people were battling each other, some people were trying to knock each other out and take their things. "I told you this is a very bad city. Why are you here? We should do our business as soon as we possibly can." His Abra: ![]() Level 15 |

(This is after the exchange of Pidgey.) Jake walked away from the teen with Justin and an alert popped up on his Poketch. Jake had entered his most desired Pokémon and there was one of them that was being traded! It was a vulpix and it was being traded in Tohea by a fellow called Ashy. Jake smiled and put the alert into a storage space on his Poketch and looked to Justin. "Right i'm all finished up here and ready to go to Tohea now, sorry for making you come all this way." "My Abra knows Tohea so we can use her to teleport if your Abra doesn't know how to get there." Jake offered. Jake wanted to get there as soon as possible and walking was not the fastest method of transport on Tohea. And he now his Abra knew all 3 major towns in Tohea so travelling would be a cinch. Jake tried to think of a resonable amount of money to give to the fellow trainer in exchange of the Vulpix. Jake double checked the information on Ashy and saw that he too was a member of Nightengale Hunters. That would be interesting. Jake settled that he would give him $400 for the Vulpix. He clutched onto both Abra readying himself for the teleport. (Sorry it's so short) |

It seemed like only a few seconds after you guys got there that you were already done in Hurst City. Shaking his head, Justin shrugged his shoulders and held onto your Abra, figuring that his could probably use the break after teleporting here. However, he was smashed in the side by something and was knocked too far from Abra to touch. Looking around, you saw that it was a Cranidos, and a person walked slowly up to you guys coyly. Closer to Justin, he glared down at him before pulling out a gun and pointing it at his head, stopping him from moving. "Return your Abra," he told Justin, who did as he demanded. "Sorry to do this, but I'm afraid that I need to collect a few things. Actually, I'm not sorry because this is just what I do. Now hand over one of your Pokémon, both of you." This guy waved a hand towards you, demanding a Pokémon. He wasn't asking for all of them, so you could just hand one over without any fuss or whatnot, although I don't expect you to. Justin really had no choice though, with a gun pointed to his head, and you saw his heart break, not wanting to give up a Pokémon. Cranidos may be a tough Pokémon to beat, but you might be able to do it, although I don't know how you're going to get the gun out of this guy's hand. If you want to use force, then you should probably know what this guy looks like and measure him up to decide if you can take him. His hair was black and it was slicked back, and his clothes were stylish and clearly expensive, meaning that he obviously had money. And if that were the case, chances were that he was a master criminal who made quite a deal of dough from his "job." Seeing as how there were no lackies near by, it was fair to say that he probably did a lot of his own dirty work. He's pretty well built too, although not too hulky. But it was evident that he worked out and kept in really good shape. Anywho, you see Justin slowly extending a hand towards the guy, one of his Pokeballs in it. You could just have your Abra teleport you out and leave Justin there, although this guy clearly didn't think you would do that. ![]() Level 12 49/49 100%

(What makes you so sure I won't leave him? :D) Jake looked at the situation, a few seconds earlier and they would be home free. They couldn't run, even if they did they would be shot, and there wouldn't be enough time to teleport out of the area, he had a Cranidos that had already showed it's effectiveness in stopping the teleport. Jake needed to think on his feet and fast, he didn't want Justin to hand over one of his Pokémon although he hoped that it was Buizel. An idea then struck Jake and he could only hoped that it would work. Not all of his Pokeball's were around his belt, he remembered putting Ponyta's into his bag instead of its normal place on his belt and he had just dropped off the Pidgey, meaning he had two free belt spaces. This could work quite nicely but only if Justin realised what was going on instantly. "Put that away Justin," Jake said indicating towards Justin's outstretched arm with a Pokeball held in his hand. Jake began going through his bag and pulled out two of his empty Pokeballs and handed them to the man. "I always keep my strongest out of sight," he explained to Justin but intending for it to be heard by the man. "You can pay me back later," Jake said. They weren't out of the woods yet, the odds were that the man would want to check the Pokeballs and realise, hopefully that would give them enough time however and Jake merely stood there, waiting for the most opportune moment when he could grab Justin and teleport with Abra, of course with a man with a gun who didn't seem entirely dim between them, it was easier said than done. Eyes shifting between you and Justin, this guy stopped Justin from putting his Pokeball away and grabbed the two you were extending before you could take them back. He also took the Pokeball in Justin's hand, and you saw that Justin didn't look so heartbroken as much as he looked scared. Do you think that maybe he's afraid that this guy won't be pleased with the Buizel and will demand his Abra instead? I certainly hope not, because that Abra could very well prove to be useful later on, should you two get caught in a sticky situation. But before you could get hold of Justin, the guy pointed the gun at you now, being closer to you than Justin, and started to walk towards you. Just when one would think that he was going to pull the trigger on you, he took off, anxious to get away, and you saw Justin exhale in what seemed to be relief. "Should we go after him and get your Pokémon back?" he asked, not seeming to care what he had sacrificed. "I just gave him an empty Pokeball, hoping that he would leave us without checking them, which seemed to work. He must not be too brilliant." Abra was let back out. "We can go after him though. If they were strong Pokémon..." Of course here you would tell him how you also gave the guy empty Pokeballs, and Justin grinned. Looks like both of you were smarter than this criminal wannabee. He better hope that he's not working for somebody, because if he is, then they'll be very angry that he got empty Pokeballs. But with that in mind, you might want to think about perhaps capturing Pokémon and selling them to people. That might not be such a bad occupation, though of course it could be hard, since most people don't pay for common Pokémon, unless there's something special about them. Anyhow, now that both of you had hold of your Abra, all of you teleported away back to Tohea City, where things were much safter. There was a lot more police available should anything happen, where in Hurst City there was too much crime going on for a cop to possibly help you. You actually wondered why though, since people seemed to be too busy battling each other since there were no wild Pokémon. But maybe what that guy had just done to you guys was also a little effect from the crisis of wild Pokémon. Maybe people are now starting to steal Pokémon from each other, thinking that that was the only way to build their Pokémon team up. Well that's just horrible, now isn't it? But now that you guys are safe in Tohea City, what would you like to do? |

Jake arrived in Tohea, it now being his third teleportation he was beginning to get used to it and managed to avoid falling over after arriving this time. So now they were in Tohea, Jake looked around for the red roofed Pokécenter, his Pokémon needed a good rest up, after the ordeal they had been through lately they deserved it. Jake grinned at Justin and told him that they had done the same thing. "I thought you were handing over your Gastly or something," Jake said. "Looks like we had the same idea, I don't think that guy will be too happy though, maybe we should stay away from Hurst for a while?" Jake suggested through a grin, he was quite proud of their strangely alike minds. "Looks like it's not a good day for you though," he said to Justin. "Robbed twice in one day?" Jake said behind a short snicker. Both Abra's hovered next to them as they walked around the city, looking for their destination. Thankfully their were more Police Officers in this town but nothing was guarenteed, even in Tohea you still couldn't feel safe. Jake had told himself he was going to relax but where was the fun in that? Maybe next he'd teach his Abra a new attack that would give her even more of an edge over her opponents. In fact he could train all of them, but with Pokémon disappearing all the time it would be hard to get any experience from anywhere. But what would he teach Abra? Well he had a whole Referee post to think about it. |

With two Pokeballs less, looks like maybe you should think about stocking up again, although it might not be necessary. After all, wild Pokémon have been scarce, and that's what the Pokeballs are for, making them just about useless right now. Seeing that you were looking around, Justin reached into his bag and pulled out a map and handed it to you. He looked around you guys and then looked back towards the map in your hands, trying to figure out where you were. Once he found you guys on the map, he pointed to where you were standing, so that way you would be able to see where you were and where your destination was. It only took you ten minutes with the map to find the Pokémon Center, although you knew it would have taken you much longer without it. Walking inside, both of you needed your Pokémon to be healed, and so you both did get them healed. Afterwards, you couldn't help but notice that everyone was crowded around the television, still watching the news. Of course there was no more news yet about what was causing the wild Pokémon's disappearance, but you probably couldn't expect much more news on that anyways. Justin finally got fed up with it and led you both outside again and sat down, Justin looking up and seeing some dark clouds rolling in. "Looks like it's going to rain, maybe snow," Justin said with a shiver. He pulled his coat tighter around him. "We can go back in for some shelter, or we can try our best looking around for a place to stay on our own. Unless you actually had something planned?" It sounds like he thinks it could start storming at any second, so you might want to take that into consideration. But if that doesn't bother you, then please carry on your plans of teaching your Abra a move, although you still need to pick one of those too. |

It was always handy to have someone really resourceful on your side in times like these because Jake was pretty sure that without him he'd probably still be in Hurst being mugged. They exited the Pokémon center after having both sets of Pokémon healed and looked up to the skies. They were beginning to darken, the posibility of rain or even snow if they were lucky as Justin stated. This was the perfect weather for what he was about to do! Jake tossed the ball containing Abra into the air and waited for the flourish of light that follwoed before his Pokeball rejoined his hand. Abra hovered in front of him, stretching her arms. Jake had finally decided on the move he was going to teach her, but it wouldn't be easy Jake thought as he went through Abra's moveset on his Poketch. It was an egg move. "Okay Abra, i'm going to try to teach you how to do a new move!" Jake told his Psychic Pokémon. In fact, didn't Elekid already know this move? This may help speed things along a bit! Jake tossed another Pokeball into the air and the small electric Pokémon stood in front of him, pleased to be out of his Pokeball again. It was gradually getting darker, Jake was trying to debate if that was a good or a bad thing. "Okay Abra, this is what we're gonna try and get you to do," Jake said and nodded at Elekid who somehow knew to use Ice Punch. His hand was covered with ice shards and snow, as it collided with nothing, the effect was nearly the same. The shards of ice broke off and flew forward and cut against the air. Now it was Abra's turn. "First off Abra just push your hand forward with force," Jake told her showing her how to firstly punch. They couldn't do Ice Punch without the punch. She moved her hand forward but it wasn't with enough force to make any real impact. Elekid demonstrated again and Abra began speeding up but you couldn't be too sure if it would work or not. Only time would tell. Once she'd gotten the hang of punching, then they'd focus on channeling the ice energy through her fist. |

Thunder boomed loudly overhead, and you saw a streak of lightning go across the sky, and then rain started pouring. While it could be good weather for some things, I don't think it's good to be teaching your Pokémon Ice Punch. It's not the worst weather to do it in, as really hot weather would be, but you could all catch pneumonia. And that wouldn't be any good if you all ended up in the hospital, unable to do anything with your Pokémon for a long time. Justin seemed to realize this as he got on a rain coat and handed you one as well, obviously having two in case of emergencies. Then he released his Gastly as well and said that maybe he could learn Ice Punch too, which could be handy for him. Both Gastly and Abra listened closely to what you had to say and watched your demonstration clearly. Then they saw Elekid do the same thing you did, so that way they could see how a Pokémon should go about doing the punch. A hand materialized next to Gastly, and he and Abra both pulled back their arms, though Gastly didn't appear to have one, and let loose a punch. You heard them hit nothing but air, which may not be a big sound, but you still heard the fists whistle through the air. If something had been receiving those punches, they definitely would have sustained a pretty good blow. Elekid looked to you, nodding, letting you know that they were ready for the next step, which he was leaving up to you. Whatever you decided he would try to demonstrate for the two Pokémon so they would know exactly how to go about doing it. Justin said that maybe they should try more on making their hands colder, storing some kind of ice energy. Then they could go about fusing the punch along with the ice energy and see if that would work out. It doesn't sound like a bad idea at all if you ask me. What do you think? Jake took a while to realise he was now also teaching Gastly the attack now and so needed to try even harder to teach the attack correctly and effectively. They had both succeeded in performing a simple punch. Now what they needed was to focus on how to channel ice energy through their body and compress it into their fists for maximum damage. It had began raining now and so it would be wise to finish up teaching the technique of Ice Punch quickly as the sky was now also beginning to flash with lightening. With each flash distant figures could be seen in the skies. It was unusual to see such a sight but Jake disregarded it for it could be a mere flock of Pidgey. In order to channel the power of ice they would first need to know what that felt like. Elekid already had experience with this and so it was him that Jake would call on again for a demonstration. Jake didn't know the ins and outs of the attack but he assumed the fist condensed and froze water vapor in the air and use that, making the hydrogen and oxygen atoms much more solid and doing more power. Of course Jake was only a teenager and so his knowledge of physics was menial but he could still guess. "Elekid, Ice Punch." Jake said simply, accepting the spare rain coat from Justin. "Abra and Gastly, I want you to touch Elekid;s frozen hand and leave it there for a few moments." Jake said to the two Pokémon who both hovered staring at him and listening to his every word. "You need to feel the ice, and embrace it, that power that could harm must be one that also is one you can harness and command at will." "It is dangerous if against you and a mighty force if you use it." Jake continued. "You need to focus all powers of ice and cold into your stronger hand, once you think you've done that you punch the air as we just did ok?" Jake asked both Pokémon who were eager to get started. |
