Jake looked at the battles that were being waged separately around him. All 6 of his Pokémon were trying their absolute hardest to try to gain victory in this battle and no-one wanted to give up! Koffing had taken a fair amount of damage, as had Shinx and Elekid, but it was now Elekid whom worried him the most. With Ponyta trying to attack constantly and this left no opening for an attack from Grimer, this could be quite as sticky situation (Pun fully intended). How could Grimer attack without hitting Ponyta, whom was also extremely vulnerable and weak to ground type attacks such as Mud Slap? Maybe a back assault was needed? He would instruct his Pokémon in roughly the same order as last time, he didn't want to leave any gaps for the opposing Pokémon to attack his Pokémon. "Okay Lotad, I want you to use an astonish, then use a Razor Leaf while your close." "Budew, use an absorb about the same time as Lotad's astonish and use another Leaf Storm, the same time as Lotad's Razor Leaf." With both sets of attacks at the same time, and in close range it should deal even more damage. Now Abra and Zigzagoon. "Okay Abra move to the front of Shinx and use a knock off, then teleport behind her and use another knock off!" Jake said. "Zigzagoon use a tackle while Abra is doing the second Knock off to sandwich in the dog!" Jake wasn't sure but couldn't Pokémon do a three move combo once per match? Well this would be Abra's combo. And now for the final group. "Okay Grimer, get behind Elekid while he's charging and launch off as many Mud Slaps as you can to Elekid only!" "If you can't get a good aim then don't attack!" Ponyta was still struggling to keep her concentration with her attack so he couldn't order a new one, but she was doing excellently. |

For your Budew it was going to be hard... Absorb at the same time as Lotads attack? It could hurt his companion... Nevertheless the other stages of attack went into play. Quickly, Lotad appeared infront of Koffing, tackling into it while the gas ball was in shock, as the thing flew back it twisted its head sending out more leafs. At the same time, your Budew summoned up alot of leafs in a green aura, and sent them pelting into the Koffing, rendering it helpless to attack. Abra, did as you wished now. It hit the Shinx just like you wanted. Shinx hissed and went to headbutt your Abra, only to miss as it teleported. Completely confused, the Shinx was then hit again from behind as your Abra used knock off once more. As this happened, Zigzagoon had timed a run perfectly, and tackled into the Shinx, letting it shriek out in pain. Now for the one, once again you had been waiting for. This was going to be alot tougher as the Elekid swung its hands at the circling Ponta. As your grimer slithered behind Elekid, it had a perfect shot in which it slapped up some mud. Elekid however, had other idea's, it agiley used Ponyta's attack and moved to the side, swinging Ponyta into Grimer. However, this had damaged Elekid slightly as the heat from the flame wheel was hot on his hands. Lv. 6 17/37 100% Lv. 7 17/39 82% Lv. 9 25/43 67%(Accuracy -1) Vs. Jake looked at the battles, they were going rather well. Of course things could be improved but at the success at the current time, Jake was not too picky about what was wrong and what was right. It was going rather smoothly on Jake's part at the moment, but obviously with Jake's luck, everything could change within the blink of an eye. So far Shinx and Koffing were the weakest and Elekid was very close to the same point, but was still fairly weak. The battle shouldn't take too long now, they were over the halfway point and it shouldn't take too long now should it? With a couple more decent attacks, this battle would be in the bag. "Budew, I want you to use a headbutt on Koffing knocking it backwards and then Lotad I want you to quickly follow it up, once Budew is out of the way, with a Razor Leaf." Jake hoped that this would thrust Koffing back into the wall and cause more damage like before. Koffing should definitely be the first out in this battle. Now it was Abra and Zigzagoon's turn to attack. "Abra I want you to use a headbutt while you're still close then teleport away from Shinx so you don't get attacked." "Zigzagoon, I want you to use a headbutt as well on Shinx and follow it up with another headbut and a third to try to finish it all off!" Jake yelled. "Okay Ponyta, don't worry about last round, this time I want you to use agility twice and follow it up with a flame wheel." With the added speed it should cause more damage Jake thought. "Grimer I want you to use a Pound and then two Mud Slaps on Elekid okay?" Jake asked his Grimer. Hopefully the battle wouldn't last much longer. |

Oh no! Not you again! It was bad enough i had to start this battle, but i have to do it for the third or fourth time on the row? This is going to cut way into my social time. (1am, dunno why that would affect my social activites.) Ok, yadda yadda yadda. First up was your Budew and Lotad. Obeying orders, Budew jumped up at Koffing who pushed at it, knocking Budew to the ground. Quickly reacting, Lotad swung its head shooting leafs out at Koffing, Koffing flinched slightly as they hit against the floating... Thing. It then began to let out a toxic gas, getting to both your Pokémon. Zigzagoon and Abra! This part of your battle didn't need much reffing. Abra slowly headbutted the Shinx, and then quickly dissapeared to safety. Shinz was astonished and sniffed around to see where it had gone, Although, it hadn't realised who was behind it. Zigzagoon then landed its headbutt. Shinz screeched and faced your Zigzagoon. Both Pokémon went in for a final showdown, headbutting each other. It was rather evinly matched, until Shinz fell to the floor and gave out its last battle breathe. Now to your desired Elekid. Ponyta began to run, getting faster every second as Agility began to kick in. It ran circles around the Elekid. Elekid looked around nervously, not knowing what to do. Grimer slithered in to the unsuspecting Elekid and slapped up mud across Elekids back. Its accuracy wasn't lowered because its eyes wernt upon its back. But it had done some damage, and for some reason stopped the Elekid from generating electricity. Elekid turned to your Grimer and frowned menacingly. Now, a flame wheel was coming up behind it. However for you, Elekid knew, and jumped out of the way. Letting Ponta tackle into Grimer. Luckily for you Ponyta hadn't stopped, it turned swiftly and charged into Elekid still in its flame wheel. The battle was now drawing to a close, Shinx had been knocked out of the match and that left only Koffing and Elekid. Surprisingly it was Elekid however, being the strognest, whom had the least hit points remaining. But this would mean the battle would run much smoother and be over much more quicker. Koffing had caused a bit of an upset to his grass Pokémon in the last round, this meant he would have to finish up this half of the battle very quickly or else suffer the defeat of his Pokémon. Both of them were doing really well, but could this stream of achievement maintain its pace in the battle? "Good work you two, I want you to use an agility, then a Skullbash and then a close ranged headbutt!" Jake said, he wanted this timed just right so they could do the triple move combo, and cause double damage at the same time. Hopefully this would bring Koffing out of the battle. Now for Ponyta and Grimer. "Ponyta, I don't want you to do anything this turn, I want you to come back to a safe distance." "Now Grimer, I want you to use a Harden, then a Mud Slap to weaken, but not faint Elekid. Jake readied the final Pokeball in his hand, ready to throw it after Grimers attack. |

Here it goes, most possibley your final round of this battle, thank god! You had them outnumbered at first, but now it was a joke, theres no way this could go wrong! Both your grass types shot off with agility, confusing Koffing so much that it couldn't move, because both Pokémon were going different ways, and so quickly too! Before the smoke ball knew it, bam! It had been hit from either side with a skull bash! And, there was no need for a headbutt, because Koffing hit the floor, knocked out. Good job! Now to your Elekid you had wanted so badly. And Ponyta retreated back to the safety of besides you. Grimer harderned the slime around it and then slapped up more mud, in a split second Elekid tried to dodge, but only dodged half the attack, and fell to the floor with the off-balanced attack. Seeing your chance, you quickly chucked the pokeball at the electric-type, and concealed it in a red light, before the pokeball fell with a thud. With a few nudges, the white light stopped. Now you had caught an Elekid! But, before you could celebrate, the ball materialized and sent off to the PC. Now, you still had the problem of whatever had happened down here. Maybe you should follow threw one of the tunnels. You have a Grimer, use it. Budew gained 30 ![]() Budew grew to level 4! A grin crept over Jake's face. He had done it! Well not him personally, but he had caught one of the most envied and wanted Pokémon to Jake. He would most definitely be going on Jake's team as soon as Jake resurfaced from the putrid stench of the Sewers. Now that the battle was over the smell had returned. The Koffing and Shinx lay motionless on the floor, Jake would've liked to have captured them too, but he had no more pokeballs and therefore it was out of the question. Now there were 3 tunnels and 7 of them. Now of course they could split up into individual tunnels, but who knew what was down there? It'd be safer to go together Jake decided. Holding up Budew and Lotad's Pokeball to return them due to poison. The light emerged and enveloped Budwe and Lotad and returned them to their respective Pokeballs. Now which way to set off into? Jake looked instinctively to Grimer as he would be likely to have the most experience. Grimer had already begun moving towards the tunnel on the right of the room. Jake followed him without hesitation along with Ponyta, Abra and Zigzagoon. Jake was reasonably sure that if Ponyta wasn't out of her Pokeball, it would be total darkness. And so the five of them trudged on through the dank pipe leading to who knew what. |

After a while of walking down the tunnel, you came to a dead end. But, it wasn't the sort of dead end where you would think 'Ah f***, now I gotta' go back and try another route.' It was a dead end where you could see what the problem was! Slude and debree has blocked it off, and from the blockage you could see just some water trickling threw. It was obvious that this was a problem. It was blocking all waste, which was surely causing problems in homes and other buildings. You needed to clear it, and above you was a ladder, leading to a manhole above surface. Maybe you could use something perhaps? I dont know, I'm not the one there. Its up to you. However, that wasn't the only problem, as you had walked down the tunnel you had noticed a few electric wires along the sides of the walls had been blown. Whatever the electricity was for... Wasn't working. You couldn't fix that! But you could still report it to the people in that office. Surely you would still get your reward if you cleared that blockage. |

(I'm a bit rusty so *snaps fingers* here we go!) Jake examined the block of the tunnel with great curiosity. How had this happened? This couldn't possibly be a coincidence now could it? Someone or something had wanted this tunnel blocked, and why were those Pokémon back in the opening so hostile. Well, more than usual to an extent, were they guarding this, could this be their work? No, why would they set out to destroy their own home? It simply didn't make sense. He looked back down the tunnel at the broken electrical wires. He couldn't fix them, he didn't have the slightest idea how to and the wires could still be live! Then what could happen? In all honesty, Jake knew the answer to the question but he was building up a dramatic tension within himself. He turned back to face the wall to which all his Pokémon where also staring at. This needed to be broken down some how. Removing the lower stones would simply cause the higher ones to fall down on top of them. So they had to target the top stones, or get them all at once. Easier said than done i'm sure. The smell was beginning to get to them and zigzagoon's fur was beginning to get all dirty and clumps of...waste getting caught. Jake quickly devised a strategy that was reckless and could only pray would work. "Ponyta I want you to do a flame wheel but don't move!" "Face away from the rocks so any fire from underneath you will hit the rocks." Making the rocks hot wouldn't do anything except maybe crumble the weaker rocks. "Grimer, go in front of Ponyta and hurl a mud slap at the flame wheel." Grimer looked baffled at this. Use a ground attack on a fire Pokémon? Jake knew what he was doing though and only hoped that they could pull it off. He was hoping the mud from Grimer's attack would dislodge and destroy some of the stones and thus clearing the block. "Abra and Zigzagoon, use a skull bash on the top rocks if you can reach them, if they begin to fall, use an agility to get out of there!" With this in mind, all his Pokémon set to work. |

Hmmm reckless plan... Well lets see if it works? Your Ponyta trotted around to face the other way, and then began to spin in a circle of flames. The heat didnt seem to do much. Grimer then stood infront of the flame wheel, looking unhappy as the heat got to it. Still, it slapped and the ground, sending soggy mud at the flame wheel. All the mud did as seperate the fire, and unfortunately stop your Ponyta in its track, who also looked in discomfate now. Hmmm, not the best of plans, I've seen some better from you. Maybe its because you've been away a while. Next, Zigzagoon and Abra stepped up as the other Pokémon parted, getting out of their way. Each Pokémon put their heads forward and then shot out in a burst of speed at the blockage. This was a clever idea! unfrtounately, the sludge that had been infused with the blockage had made the structure quite strong. Both your Pokémon hopped back, and looked at what they had done. Small bits had fallen, but not nearly enough to help knock this thing down. All of your Pokémon then turned to look at you, asking what to do next. Hmm, maybe you should just go back now? All you needed to do was find out the problem, the payment wasn't going to involve fixing it, I suppose. Plus, look on the bright side. Theres an Elekid waiting for you back at the PC, thats reward enough I suppose. |

Jake looked at his Pokémon and at the wall, maybe it wasn't the best of all his plans he'd ever done but it wasn't the worst. That was probably yet to come. The wall had barely budged at all and it looked like Zigzagoon and Abra now had both gotten headaches from attacking solid rocks head on. Ponyta and Grimer also looked exasperated at their futile efforts. Maybe the voice that was always telling Jake what to do and spawning these Pokémon was right? Maybe he didn't need to fix the problem, but just to simply find it. If that was the case then he had certainly filled the criteria for his job and his work was more than done here. He'd even loosened it up for the people that had to sort this block out. Now Jake was just eager to get to his newly (3 months ago) caught Elekid. He would certainly be going on his team but that meant that he had to replace someone and that wouldn't be an easy decision to make. That could be made at the Pokécenter, he needed to claim his payment and heal first. This was were it was really Abra's time to shine. Jake returned Ponyta, Grimer and Zigzagoon to their respective Pokeballs and then called on Abra to join him atop his head. (Abra had been levitating so there was no waste thank god.) "Okay now Abra, remember that place from earlier that I asked you to remember?" Jake asked kindly as Abra slowly nodded. "I need you to use teleport to take us back there okay?" No sooner had he asked and the room around him became a spinning blur, a pulling sensation across his navel. Suddenly Jake struck the floor; his vision was still blurred and didn't know where he had landed. |

Indeed, the voice speaking to you and spawning theese Pokémon was right. Infact, he was always right. And I suggest if you want something you should keep sucking up to him and making him chuckle whilst he completes his job. As you swirled and blurred out, in a quick flash you landed in a dull room. Infact it was the building from before. (3 months ago) There was two men in here now, and both turned around to look at you. One came up to you as you began conjuring your conciousness back from that wild teleport. "Ahh, you must be the investigator we sent off. Well, did you find anything?" He asked, you took your hand away from your head and stopped spinning for a moment to tell him what exactly you had found and how you had cleared the place up to make it alot easier for whoever goes down there next to fix things. "Ahh, brilliant. You couldn't of done much more, so thank you." He replied, walking off and out of the room. If you remember the person from 3 months ago walked up to you, wearing a suit and bearing a letter and a pokeball. "Thank you ever so much, here is your payment. two hundred dollars. Plus, we also found this pokeball lieing around, I'm not too sure whats in there however." Handing over the items he turned and walked away from you, sitting behind his desk once more. Well, find out what it is! |

Jake looked at the man whom had just approached him. So this was his payment, in all honesty Jake was really pleased with it, it would certainly last him long enough, but if he was to go out and catch more Pokémon he would need more money for the pokeballs. Alas, an adventurer’s work is never quite completed, you can get pretty close but no. Jake smiled and graciously took the envelope from the mans hand and the pokeball from the other. This pokeball felt slightly heavy; could there possibly be something inside it? If there was Jake wouldn't have time, it would be teleported off to the computer would it not? Well there was always time for a quick sneak peak wasn't there? Jake tossed the ball up into the air and waited for it to open, if at all. Jake then turned back to the man, maybe he could be slightly more helpful than the receptionist from earlier. "Erm, excuse me sir," Jake said trying to suck up to the man but trying not to make it too obvious. "Do you have any more permanent jobs around here?" He asked in a polite fashion, he was hoping for one answer but he thought he knew it would be the opposite. Abra was still sitting atop Jake's head, totally unphased by the journey they had just had from teleporting. Well at least she had gotten it right, they weren't in the middle of Hurst so she had done her job exceptionally well. As soon as he had an answer from the man and had seen the what was inside the pokeball, he was off to the Pokémon center, maybe Abra remembered that as well? |

The man looked fairly dissapointed himself when he gave you an answer. "Im sorry no, we just have part time jobs here." He replied, which wasn't any good huh? Alas, you turned around and looked at the new pokeball in your hand. It glinced slightly and with a pop opened by itself! A flash of white light ended with a sparkle and in the glimse of all of it, the Pokémon stood, looking at you rather mischieviously... Lv. 12Well, it wasn't your dream Pokémon but hey, it looked like a pretty strong Pokémon! What you wanted to do with it was your guess. But now it had been opened in your possesion it returned immediately and with a quick teleport the pokeball dissapeared. Well, now that was in your PC, the PC's located in pokecenters, it was rather convinient you were about to teleport yourself there right now. Again, with a quick blur you found yourself outside of the Pokécenter. I guess Abra had that teleport thing nailed down now, huh? Handy indeed. Anyway, you quickly took yourself into Pokécenter. I shall leave it here instead of going to heal your Pokémon straight away, you may want to change Pokémon around with your PC. I shall also add your rewards. |

A girafarig? Well it wasn't Jake's most desired Pokémon, in fact Jake would probably never use it but it looked pretty strong, no sooner had Jake seen it had it disappeared after being teleported into the computer for storage. It was always a thing that had baffled Jake but he didn't really have the attention span to think about it for too long. There were no permanent jobs so Jake had no reason to stay there, it seemed like not too many people were financialy secure even in Tohea. Abra then teleported them immediately off to the Poke center. Although on their first teleport Jake could just about stand up, this time he managed to keep his balance. He was slowly becoming used to it. Jake walked into the Pokécenter and quickly logged on to one of the vacant computers around the room. Now he had to think about which Pokémon he wanted to swap for Elekid. Each of his Pokémon were unique and added something different to the team but Zigzagoon was a normal type and had no advantage over anything and was a sucker for fighting types. Jake placed the pokeball containing Zigzagoon on a tray where it dematerialised and seconds later another Pokeball appeared in the same spot. Jake quickly logged off the computer, returned Abra to her Pokeball and handed over 5 Pokeballs to the Nurse behind the desk, keeping behind Elekid's of course. After getting his Pokeballs back he would need to head off to the Pokémart so that was his next stop. |
