OOC: I'm not that mean... but I could be :D

As you commanded Exo to move about by using his front legs to propel himself and the slippery tiled ground for speed, Clarisse smiled at Dragon. "Dragon, that was great. Let's try for a secod round hit." She cheered as she tried to remember what the little dragon... worm... thing could do.

While she thought it over, Exo started pushing off the ground and skidding across the floor bouncing from wall to wall. Soon enough though it seemed as though Exo was ready to attack, and at the moment in which his eyes became even the slightest bit more ferocious, Clarisse commanded Dragon. "Let's go, 59!" She ordered simply as Dragon started to chant his name again and forge a light purple orb ahead of him, the orb seeming to grow larger and larger every second.

Exo though, taking advantage of the time it was taking Dragon to create the attack, leapt forward and skid as quickly as he could towards Dragon. As he did so though, he started to use his Harden in order to raise his defenses -also to raise the damage he'd cause- incase Dragon released his attack ahead of time.

Just to he'd assumed, Dragon released a powerful orb of energy towards Exo which struck him head on as he battled his skull against the orb of elemental energy. Eventually it ended up in his being launched back through the air onto the ground near you -the ice on his hind legs shattering as he hit- and the orb being sent into one of the nearby walls as it created a hole which led to the outside, a small magby standing with widened eyes, peaking into the room.

"Magby..." he said as he looked over to you and Exo, then looked back into the air where dark vortex's of evil had appeared, popping out green meteor-like fireballs which slowly stormed towards the ground.

Crap..., Jeremy thought to himself, knowing that the previous round could have gone a lot better. Exo was getting almost literally killed, but this stupid Dratini was four levels higher than his poor little guy. He also had Valor for back-up, but he was quite sure that this would remain a one-on-one battle. Admittedly, Clarisse was pretty good at this...and if anything, this attracted him to her a little more. A Bad-@$$ female and a crackerjack battler...not a bad combination.

"Okay Exo, nice try last round," Jeremy started off trying to keep his Pokémon's confidence peaked. "That troublesome ice is gone, and that leaves you some more attacking possibilities. I want you to skitter around with another Agility to increase your speed even more, both for evasion and attacking purposes. Then, I want you to use your EG move. You should know what I'm talking about." Here he shot a glance at the slightly battered Exo, the latter nodding to show that he understood. Hey, Clarisse was doing nearly the same thing.

"Magby?"

Whipping around to see the new face, he saw a cute little Magby standing outside where the hole from Ice Beam had been made. Then the little guy looked behind him outside, and what Jeremy saw in the sky made his blood run cold. There were various black vortexes in the sky, and small green fireballs were filtering out of the holes and storming at the ground like hail. "What the heck's going on outside?" He wouldn't halt the battle unless Clarisse or her dad asked him to, but he was very curious about this phenomenon outside. Whatever was going on, it definitely wasn't normal.

Even if Clarisse didn't want to stop, right after this battle he'd try to go outside and see what was going on...maybe even seek out one of those fireballs to investigate it more. Some looked like they were falling fairly close....

Exo gave you the nod. He understood what you wanted him to do. The steel Pokémon ran as fast as he could, which wasn’t real fast given the short legs and metallic exoskeleton. But Agility did give him a much needed boost of speed. Exo dodged left, then right, trying to make it harder for Dragon to hit him.

Clarisse yawned.

Well, the nerve! She leaned over, giving her Pokémon commands. Once again, they seemed vaguely coded, so as to make it harder to know what was coming. “Dragon, use pattern 3.” She looked up at you, and gave the briefest of smiles. Well, whatever was planned, Exo’s move could very well disrupt them.

Your metallic monster rushed forwards, ready to strike when the Dratini uncoiled with lightning speed. Small ripples of yellow electricity covered the dragon’s head as he struck your Aron with a Thunder Wave! “AAAA-ron!” your steel Pokémon shouted.

You watched, with your heart in your throat! What would Exo be able to do now?! That was part of the shock as Exo let loose with Dragon Rush! Exo’s attack slammed into the dragon Pokémon, just as it was about to strike again. The Dratini took the full brunt of the attack, and slid backwards, smashing into the wall!

That was an amazing hit! The Dratini had hit the wall so hard that a crack had formed! You felt a tugging at you leg, as you noticed the little Magby trying to hide behind you. Why would it be hiding? The crack in the wall widened. Drywall came falling down on the dragon Pokémon at the far end of the room.

The wall collapsed completely, revealing a very good reason to hide. Dark green skies with swirling black clouds were visible beyond the wall. A shadowy shape lurked out there. Huge black wings, and a massive dark body reached into the room. Blazing red eyes told you that whatever was going on out there, it was about to get a lot worst in here.

"Nice job buddy!" Jeremy cheered in the injured Exo's direction. The steel type was taking quite a beating, but he had made that last hit really count. Obviously the little Pokémon's trainer was quite proud of him by now. Still, there was the minor setback that dear Excalibur was paralyzed....Jeremy would have to tread carefully from now on. "Okay now, use..."

He broke off there abruptly, startled that the Magby was now tugging at his pants. The thing was cute, yes, but it was a little annoying. About to politely tell the little baby Pokémon off, Jeremy's words froze in his throat as he got a really good look at what was going on outside. His heart was once again in his throat as drywall started falling onto the slightly battered Dratini at the opposite side of the room. Some...thing...started trying to push itself into the room, its black wings silhouetted against the sickly scene in the sky.

Whatever that thing was, it wasn't of this earth. Jeremy could be quite sure of that much. None of his studies had even given him the general shape of this Pokémon, let alone its name. With Exo in his current state, he would definitely need some back-up from Valor and, hopefully, this little thing known as Magby.

"Think you can help me, little guy?" he asked it kindly, while keeping an eye on the thing near the wall. "Clarisse, terribly sorry to interrupt this battle, but it looks like we have a visitor who is trying to tear down you and your father's home. While I would not like to postpone our battle, your Dratini may be in bad shape from that. Also, I think I'd like to try and stop that thing before it becomes too dangerous....whatever it is. Exo buddy, if you're up for it, try to get a good look at that thing and put it on edge with a Growl. Use a Tackle if you feel like it. Valor, if that thing attacks, use Quick Attack to get it to back off. If it attacks you, use Substitute to save your skin."

The Pidoo and Aron nodded, although the Magby still looked a little unsure. Hopefully Clarisse and her observing father would understand if their own house was in danger.

(The Magby isn't technically Jeremy's yet...it's still left over from the 4th of July promo. XD)

The Magby looked at you and blinked a little, it seemed as though it felt safe with you, and immediately it nodded as it heard your commands to your Pokémon. Though, before he even allowed for your Pokémon to move, he decided to make things a bit easier as he released a cloud of smoke from his wittle beak and created an incredibly thick smoke screen near the hole in the wall.

At that time, he started darting off with Exo and Valor right behind, Clarisse and her Father though had seemed to dart out of the house, frightened of the creepy being that was lurking outside their home. Cowards I suppose. Oh well, it didn't matter because now, as you watched Exo, Valor, and Magby from afar you could hear the scuffles of a new battle happening outside!

"Maaaag!" You heard the red duckling call as it slid into the building, the hole in the wall growing somewhat larger as it burst through. Soon enough, you saw Exo fall in too, aswell as Valor as they landed ahead of you, each seeming to have been thrown back by, not an attack, but what seemed to be an elemental burst. Possibly produced by a highly-channeled gust of air produced by two wings curving and collecting wind currents, and then clashing together!

Wait, wouldn't that make a Backlash Wave? Aaah! Forget it! Let's just leave it at, your pocket monsters were back in the building, the smoke has cleared, and the ugly, creepy beast from out of this world is staring you right in the eyes!

:... Lv. 12 :genderless

"Cthh!!" the beast bubbled as its already red eyes started to glow like rubies.

(Wow. You like...never ref. XD)

Okay. This was the first time that he had ever faced anything that resembled ET, a squid, and Dracula's uber-bat form from Van Helsing all in one package. The thing was massive, almost eight feet in height and no doubt just as deadly. Jeremy's wildest guess was that it was a Pokémon of some sort, but he knew nothing beyond that. Clarisse and her father had run for it, so this all seemed to be up to Jeremy and his ingenuity...if he didn't kill himself and his Pokémon at first, that is.

And if this thing was a rare Pokémon, he was going to try and catch it. His postponed battle with Clarisse and her Dratini left a bittersweet taste in his mouth, but that could always be started up again when he got the chance. For all he knew, this event was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Even if this thing turned out to be pure evil (it did look it), there was no doubt that he'd be able to find some use for it. He already had Exo, Valor, Ridge (who could use some training up), and possibly this little Magby if he didn't scare it off first. Magby wasn't that bad of a Pokémon, and he had always liked Magmar. Magmortar, though...ick.

First thing's first, let Ridge join the party. "Ridge, start things off with a Tackle, and then move in with Bite!" he began, throwing out the young dragon's Pokeball. "Exo, use Agility, then pair it up with Dragon Rush. Valor, move in behind it and use Tackle; also use Substitute if you find yourself in trouble. And then Magby..." turning to the frightened little thing, he decided to invite the guy to his team. "Mind joining me? You don't seem to have a trainer...but you'll receive a nickname. How does Hephaestus (Phaes for short) sound?" Hopefully the little guy wouldn't mind a nickname. "And just do whatever comes into your head, little guy." He's not legally my Pokémon anyway...

With all of that said and done, he waited to see how this would play out.

(WOW! That’s a lot of Pokémon to track. I’m sorry for every time I’ve ever done this to you! I also added Hephaestus’ name into your Profile. -M-)

You summoned forth all of the Pokémon you had available. In a blinding flash of red light, the battle room was now filled with the small sounds of various Pokémon. The strange alien/ monster/ thingy didn’t seem to know what to make of the sudden appearance of all these potential foes. Or was it anticipating an all you can eat buffet? It was really hard to tell, and that was scary.

You called out your battle commands to your troops, each listening carefully for their names. With orders issued, it was up to the Pokémon to do what they do best- act like living weapons of mass destruction!

Ridge ran forward, towards the big monster. He ran on all fours, which was kind of strange for a Gible. But, it did make that shark fin on his head look much more intimidating. He slammed into the monster’s shin and bounced off to the side! Not much damage there. But, the little dragon wasn’t disturbed by this. He squared off, ready to make that Bite.

At the same time, Exo was prepping to start his Agility burst. He squatted down, low to the ground. Then he tried running forward, but his little legs gave out under him! It looked like they had fallen asleep… It must have been the Paralysis getting to him! You weren’t sure what to do about that, but then you heard a horrible noise.

You looked up to see your Gible hoisted into the air by the monster. The monster had taken it upon itself to Bite the Gible that had just bitten it! The tentacles were all spread wide, showing a small, beaked mouth. Tiny, razor sharp teeth bit into Ridge’s back. He squealed in pain.

Exo was trying so hard to use the Dragon Rush you had asked for, but his legs were just too sluggish. He could barely move! You had to admire Clarisse’s tactic, but it couldn’t have come at a worst time for you. And where was she anyways? She should be in here fighting this thing!

Looking back to the battle, Valor was poised behind the alien monster’s legs, ready to Tackle, just as ordered. It looked like the Magby and the Pidoo had come up with some sort of strategy together. You’d told Hephaestus to do whatever he wanted. It looked like he and Valor were going to pull a Three Stooges on the monster.

Valor ducked down low, as the Magby ran forward and Tackled the monster as high as he could reach. The monster stumbled backwards, as the Magby’s blazing hot body came into contact with the monster’s knee. As it fell back, it tripped on the waiting Pidoo! The monster came crashing to the ground with a bad burn on it’s leg. Now that’s teamwork!

You watched with equal parts fear, surprise, and wonder as a small flame licked across the monsters body.

That last round hadn't gone too badly for Jeremy's team. They had dealt some damage to the monstrosity from outer space, in the least. Still, it wasn't like this thing was anywhere close to fainting. He had to try and play on that. For some reason, Valor looked very tired...and the poor guy hadn't even done very much! Oh well, he had to learn how to improvise in such situations. He wondered vaguely where Clarisse and her father had gone, but that was only a fleeting thought.

For now, time to pull on the momentum-literally. "Nice job last round everyone. But I'm sure that you know as I do that this thing is pretty nasty. Phae, if you don't mind me giving orders, use a Smog to confuse the thing and then come in with a Headbutt. You can come with me if you wish, but if you don't, you can do whatever you want with your available abilities.

"As for the rest of you, I want all three of you" Here he was indicating Valor, Exo, and Ridge "to use Agility. Exo, if you can manage it, let's try for another Dragon Rush. If you can't manage it, then just rest, conserve your energy. Ridge, move in with another Bite, and try to cripple one of the thing's wings with your attack. Valor, use Confusion to fling some of the drywall and other debris at your opponent." He would have preferred to attack directly, but he had a gut feeling that Confusion wouldn't work against this monster. "I know you can break this thing! Go team!" he yelled, pumping his fist into the air.

Even with their success, he was still a little wary of this thing. Even though the beast was burned, he had a feeling that it could still cause a lot of collateral damage to his team. Furthermore, this thing didn't seem to be showing its full power yet...or was that just Jeremy being paranoid? Oh well. He'd have to see how this round played out in order to judge this thing further.

So you're going at this thing with cation. Not a bad idea, but not the best idea either. But I guess it would work for this situation.

Anyway, you're team all nodded along with their orders and then turned to face thier enemey. Magby then shot out a Smog from it's beak-like mouth which the alian thing accidentily inhailed (oh no... for it) and then they all started to run around to raise their speed although Exo was a little sluggish but was still able to get some speed accumulated.

Now for all of them to begin their attacks. Exo started to move in ready with a Dragon Rush but was stopped half way through from the effects of paralyze, so it stoped to sit a rest. Next up was Ridge. The lttle dragon-like creature ran up to Bite down on the things wings by jumping on the walls to get on the roof and then go for the wings. It landed a seccessful hit but the thing was mad and grapped Ridge with one of its tentacles and used absorb on the little guy. Last up was Valor who started to use Confuse on the peices of drywall that were laying around and flung them at the skyscrapper like being. Most of them hit, but Ridge was also hit in the process (Talk about great teamwork.)

The monster wasn't happy at all with this and used Leer which hit all of your Pokémon. That has to suck. Oh well. Now what are you going to do?

Not too bad of a round, but things could have gone a lot better for Jeremy and his troops. Either way, that alien thing was going to go down, out, and into a Pokeball. From what he had analyzed thus far, the monster would be a valuable asset to his Pokémon team. Not that he didn't have plenty of decent Pokémon already, but another one couldn't hurt, right? He had to find a way to mass-train them all at once, though....This obviously wasn't working out very well. For now, they had to work on one major thing: teamwork.

"Not too bad last time guys, but let's try to work on how we proceed with our moves, shall we? Okay Phaes, since you now claim to be my Pokémon, you shouldn't mind me giving you orders, correct?" Here the little Magby nodded. "Okay then Phaes, use Smog to start everything off. In the meantime, I want everyone to use Agility to raise their speed...if you can manage it." Here his gaze lingered on the crippled Exo before he continued.

"After everyone uses Agility, I want each of you to use a separate move. Using the screen of the Smog as cover, I want Exo to come in from behind the monster with Dragon Rush (if you can). Ridge, come in from the thing's left with Skull Bash, and Phaes, use Tackle from the monster's right. Then I want everyone to back off. Once they're out of the way, Valor, I want you to use Confusion on more rocks and fling them at the monster. There's your assignment everyone, and hopefully you don't make light of it," he finished, crossing his arms slightly. Staring at the nightmarish creature's eyes, he tried to convey nonverbally that he wasn't about to quit. I won't back down from the likes of you....

Now all he had to wait on were his Pokémon. Hopefully they could all make it far enough to the point where he could catch the monster and keep Clarisse's house from being a complete wreck. He also hoped that her dad wouldn't penalize him....Leaving town was starting to look like a good idea at this point.

(Wow, sorry about the Pidoo. I put in the wrong info. It should have been higher than 16%! I’ll fix it in this post. He’s going to catch his breath. Also, when a Pokémon suffers confusion, or is paralyzed, I flip a coin. 50/50 whether the attack works or not. Hope you don‘t think I‘m trying to screw you. -M-)

You wanted your team to start working together. The Magby showed some promise in that department. He and Valor had pulled a classic prank on the monster earlier. That was a good sign. And the fact that Phaes was willing to listen to your commands was just as promising. You wanted him to use Smog, and he began working to that end.

The little red Pokémon started inhaling and exhaling quickly, like he was hyperventilating. While he was building up his energy, your other Pokémon all did what they needed to do boost their speed with Agility. As all of your Pokémon began to move about, Phaes started blowing smoke out of his mouth. It started in a puff, but soon looked like a smoke-stack. Billowing white clouds surrounded the mysterious monster. You could hear the creature as it coughed in the Smog.

Suddenly it burst from the cloud, and it grabbed you little Pidoo. With a viscious Bite, it fell back into the Smog. It was using your own smokescreen so you wouldn’t know which Pokémon was being attacked!

You watched as Exo slowly moved into position. He didn’t look like he was in very good shape. Every once and a while you’d catch sparks dancing across his metallic skin. Once Phaes and Ridge were in position, they nodded to Exo. You could see your Aron focusing. He wouldn’t let himself fail you.

The metallic Pokémon spasmed once, as electricity shot across his skin. He shook his head and barked the command. “ARON!” All three Pokémon moved as one against the alien beast. Ridge’s head gave a faint glow in the smoke as he used Skull Bash. On the other side of the monster, Phaes ran in with his shoulder lowered for a Tackle. And behind the creature, Exo used Dragon Rush! You couldn’t have been happier about that!

Your Pokémon team high tailed it away from the monster, as it came crashing to the ground in front of you. You were just feet away from the things burning eyes. It got to one knee, staring at you. Voices started entering your mind, whispers of dread and fear. Somewhere in your mind, you wanted to see blood, your own blood, all over the floor. You could feel yourself searching your pockets…

But Valor knocked you to the side. He took several deep breaths. Pebbles and debris around him began to levitate as he fired a powerful beam at the ceiling of the room! All of your Pokémon were pushing and pulling you away from the monster as the ceiling collapsed onto it.

Looking down, you found that you had a jagged piece of metal in one hand, and Pheas was trying very hard to make you drop it. On your other arm, a small red drop of blood trailed away from your wrist. Had you really tried to cut yourself?

Jeremy's mind had went into a sort of dazed state when strange whispering full of fear and dread had entered his mind. The successful round had passed beautifully, and then everything had considerably blurred in his mind once the voices had come. For some reason, Jeremy wanted to actually see his blood all over the place...he didn't know why, it had just become a want, a need, a necessity. Quite before he knew it, he was holding a piece of metal in his hand (where did that come from?) and a small drop of blood was dripping off of his wrist. Woah, had he seriously just tried to cut himself?

Looking to the side, he saw that Phaes was desperately trying to get him to drop it. He had only vaguely felt Valor knock him to the side a few seconds earlier and the vague sensation of being pulled away from the monster by his Pokémon as the ceiling fell in on it. Shuddering, he forced his fingers, one by one, to drop the piece of metal; what had possessed him to do such a thing? He wasn't Emo, after all...it had probably been the thing that he was battling. Either way, a creature like that had to be put away and put to a good use.

Licking the blood off of his wrist and narrowing his eyes, he glared at the creature. "I don't know who or what the hell you are, but I've had enough. You ruined a perfectly good battle, you wrecked half of an honorable family's mansion, and through some inexplicit reason, you made me briefly turn Emo. As much as I find some of your qualities despicable, I will catch you and use you to my own benefits for your power. FOR GOOD, mind you.

"Everyone, be on standby for now. If this thing escapes the Pokeball that I throw, go at it with everything you have," he finished, digging a vacant Pokeball out of his left pocket. Activating the red-and-white orb, he threw it with all the force that his left arm could muster at the thing, desperate to catch it. This thing's power could be useful to me, although some of its qualities might not be...well, you never know. If I do catch this thing, I think I'll name it after the psycho, Jason. He prayed that this would somehow work....

The red and white orb grew in your hand as you pressed the button. With a heft, you tossed the ball at the monster, as it was tying to work it’s way out of the wreckage that had it pinned. With a flash of red light, the monster had disappeared, and the fallen roof collapsed to the ground. You coughed as a cloud of dust and insulation sprang up, but you didn’t loose focus on the monster inside that pokeball.

The pokeball danced a jig on the ground. Yes, the beastie had been badly hurt, but it was still putting up one heck of a fight. The ball gave a sudden bounce. And clicked. The indicator showed that you had just caught the crazy monster!

Just as the ball had clicked, the door behind you flung open. The massive 6’ 4” bodyguard threw himself into the room, fallowed by a Machoke. Behind them, Clarisse and her father entered. Clairisse was accompanied by a Lotad and her father carried a small Oddish.

Everyone looked around the ruined room, and then to you.

*Gulp*

Clarisse rushed up to you, throwing her arms around you! Wow! That would make anyone blush! Quickly she pulled back and saw that you were hurt. She took your hand in hers and examined the wound at your wrist. “Oh! You’re hurt!” It was only a small cut, barely even leaving a mark. But she treated you like you were severely injured.

While she fussed over your wrist she explained what had happened. “I could tell that monster was a water type. I mean, just look at it’s head! So, father and I went to get out grass Pokémon. They aren’t very strong, so we knew we’d need as many as we could get out of storage.”

She smiled up at you. “So, you fought it by yourself? Tell me everything that happened!”

Clarisse’s father gave you a hardy slap on the back. His booming voice became a bit softer then when the fight had started. “I’m rather impressed you caught that thing. I’ve never seen a Pokémon like it, and I’ve seen quite a few in my travels.” The man looked around the room. “I wish you hadn’t destroyed my house, but it’s only a thing. Your safe, and that’s more important.”

Had you just earned their respect? And what now? Would you let Clarisse fuss over your wound, or challenge her to a rematch? You looked up to the sky for guidance and saw that the Vortex was shrinking. Green fireballs were flying into it. They sky was losing the green light, and turning into a normal night sky.

Wow! How much time had passed?!

(I'll update your Profile with the new monster and :exp -M-)

"YES!" Jeremy yelled, pumping his fist in the air. Somehow, through the efforts of teamwork and fate, he had captured the beast that had all but wrecked Clarisse's house. He felt a little sick that she probably couldn't host that party anymore...but that wasn't too bad of a blow. He'd find his true family at some point, correct? The Marowak skull that was tattooed on his skin seemed to make its presence known to him right now more than usual, but he put that out of his mind when Clarisse and her dad entered the room. He saw their eyes sweep over the mess, and then to him...uh-oh.

They didn't blame him for this, right?! That thing had honestly caused most of the wreckage....Speaking of which, he had to check the thing out. He pointed his Poketech at the Pokeball to start scanning the creature; hopefully he could find out a little more about it. Whether or not it was done scanning, he didn't know; all he knew was that the next moment, Clarisse was hugging him. He hoped that he wasn't blushing too badly....

Quickly, Clarisse pulled back and exclaimed, “Oh! You’re hurt!” He didn't know what the big deal was; after all, it wasn't like he was on his deathbed. Regardless she fussed over him as though he had a broken leg and a cracked ribcage. It was fairly annoying, to say the least, but at least she wasn't slapping him for something. As she fussed with him, she explained why she and her father had left. “I could tell that monster was a water type. I mean, just look at it’s head! So, father and I went to get out grass Pokémon. They aren’t very strong, so we knew we’d need as many as we could get out of storage.” He nodded privately at this, smiling. He had assumed the same thing, but he hadn't been a hundred percent sure. “So, you fought it by yourself? Tell me everything that happened!” That last question was random....

"After that thing crashed through the wall, and you guys left, I started battling that thing with my whole team. This little Magby joined in" here he pointed at Phaes "and he's now part of my Pokémon team. If it hadn't been for him I wouldn't have ever known the thing was here. Anyway, we battled the thing with teamwork, and it sort of wrecked your house as a result," he grinned sheepishly. "Either way, I've confined it in a Pokeball, and now this particular fiend won't bother anyone anymore...at least not while I'm in charge of it."

He was slightly startled at this point as Clarisse's father clapped him on the back. In his booming voice, he stated, “I’m rather impressed you caught that thing. I’ve never seen a Pokémon like it, and I’ve seen quite a few in my travels.” Looking around the room at this point, he continued speaking. “I wish you hadn’t destroyed my house, but it’s only a thing. Your safe, and that’s more important.” Well, technically Jeremy hadn't destroyed the house, but that was beside the point. He felt a warm glow in his chest when he realized that Clarisse's dad finally approved of him.

Looking towards the sky from the ruins of the house, he could see that the fireballs were hovering back to the portal the same way they had fallen to the Tohean Islands. The portal was even shrinking, and the sky was returning to its normal color. That was a good sign indeed...but how was it already evening?! Time could really pass...or maybe the weird day had altered time itself, even.

Looking towards his warriors that had fought in battle, he smiled at them all. "I'm proud of all of you. You did really well today." All of his Pokémon cheered at this, and his smile stretched into a toothy grin. "I'm guessing all of you need a rest. So..." here he recalled Exo and Valor, but he waited a moment to recall young Ridge and the new Phaes. "I know you guys are younger, so I'm going to give both of you a special gift. I don't have enough of these for all four of you, but you two younger ones will put it to good use, correct?" Fishing out two Rare Candies from his backpack, he handed one to Phaes and the other to Ridge. They didn't have to eat them if they didn't have to.

((Here's hoping I can live up to all the craziness that's happened so far, XD ))

Giving your two Pokémon the Rare Candies, they both reacted in different ways. Ridge just ate the whole thing, wrapper and all, chomping on it noisily, though he seemed to be very pleased with it. Hephaestus, on the other hand, used its hands to unwrap the treat, before tentatively putting it into its mouth, chewing it slowly. You could tell they both seemed a little stronger than they were, proof that the candy was having its desired effect.

Clarisse smiled at you, a distant look in her eyes as you retold the details of the fight. You could almost see her rendition of it in her eyes as you stood, boldly defying the evil of the creature as you gave commands to your Pokémon, and their undying loyalty to you as they followed your each and every word, hurling themselves at the creature, it's massive form slowly being taken down by the valiant efforts of your team, until at last, the final blow was dealt, and you were able to catch the beast.

As your story finished, she returned to fussing over your wound, fishing a cute bandaid with Psyducks on it from her purse to place over your wound. Manly. And she finished off the repairs to your body with a small kiss to it. Awww, how sweet. And rather brave, considering her father was still standing right nearby. But, as it seemed he had already given his approval of you, he didn't seem to mind too terribly much at the small peck that his daughter had given you.

It was about then that you noticed that the proud face that he'd been wearing, not to mention the smile had vanished somewhat too. His eyes flickered over your face, and you realized that he was finally starting to see some resemblance between the two of you. In fact, the more that seemed to dawn on his face, the paler he became. There was definitely something up here, but whatever it was, you were still lost in the dark.

Before you could say anything, your throat seized up as the man performed a very familiar, very bone-chilling motion, as his hand went up to the opposite shoulder, the same shoulder that your birth mark, the source of all your life's mysteries, or most of them, anyway, was on. "Hector, take Clarisse and the Pokémon out of here. I believe I need to speak with this young man." The bodyguard moved swiftly, putting a hand gently on your possibly-but-still-not-sure girlfriend's arm.

Clarisse looked at her father in dismay, confused as to what was going on. "But daddy-" she began, when he turned to her, with a look that you've seen on your own face from time to time. The anger cut her off, and she frowned, reluctantly leaving your side and following the bodyguard out, along with the Oddish and Lotad.

The man, Kevin Gunther, gave you an appraising look, one that tried to get into your mind, to see if he could read the thoughts going through your head. "It seems we have some things to talk about, doesn't it?" His tone had lost most of its booming nature, and seemed to be almost normal, now. Whatever was going on, this man knew something...but just who was he?

((Should probably request me for the next few, but you don't have to. ^^ ))
