Upon entering the three-floored Pokémon Center, Jeremy couldn't help but notice that it was packed. The cries of Trainers to their injured Pokémon rang all over the place, and Chansey and Blissey bustled about, attempting to aid Nurse Joy in the healing of so many Pokémon. Dang, this place was busy...What had happened, exactly? Whatever. He only had to focus on healing dear Exo for now. "Hello, sir. How may I help you today? Is your Pokémon hurt? Did you challenge Lady Kioja too? We'll take care of your Pokémon," Nurse Joy said automatically. Man, she must really be used to this sort of thing. A Cleffa that had been sitting on the counter took Exo's Pokeball from Jeremy's hand and released the Aron onto a passing stretcher cart that was being pushed by a Blissey. "Your Aron looks fine, we'll just give him some things for it to feel better and rest. If you would be so kind as to stay here, it won't be very long," Nurse Joy was saying to Jeremy, although he wasn't really paying any attention. Exo looked worried, so Jeremy nodded to show that it was okay. Slightly relaxed, Exo calmed down a little. This was the steel Pokémon's first trip into a Pokémon Center, to say the least. Now he had time to think. Jeremy's mind kept wondering who this Lady Kioja was; he had never heard the name in living memory. And furthermore, what had happened to that persistent thief of a girl with her Ponyta? She'd have to come and heal the fire-breathing horse at some point....And if she did come in, he'd be ready. If she didn't...well, he'd either give up on tracking her down and let the Pokémart thing go, or else go looking for her personally. |

Indeed, this Lady Kioja was a mystery, but the answer was only a question away! You didn't seem to be worried about this though, the girl seemed to be on your mind. You keep thinking about her, I wonder why. I think somebody has a cruuuuuush♥ Oooohhh, true love, perhaps? Probably the spawn of hormones your body is producing, but that's not the point. An ear shattering, annoying, ringing, loud, squeaky too much to describe in words scream wrenched your thoughts. The voice was somewhat recognizable, yet not so much. It is hard to explain this voice, but curiosity got the better of you. You walked through the crowd of people and Pokémon running about, dodging stretchers with sick-looking Pokémon on them to find the source of this noise. "I WANT TO KNOW THE STATUS OF MY Pokémon! NO! I WANT TO SEE MY Pokémon THIS INSTANT! YOU WILL LET ME IN TO SEE MY Pokémon! MY DAUGHTER GETS INTO A STREET FIGHT WITH MY Pokémon, NOW I WANT TO SEE MY F***ING Pokémon!" What you saw was a rather old woman yelling at a twin Nurse Joy at a second desk on the other side of the room. Standing next to her was none other than the girl you so longed to find. The woman standing next to her shared a resemblance but looked much older, probably the girl's mother. Now I know a few things and one is to never piss of an already angry mother. But what do you know? Are you going to confront them? |

Soon, a scream shattered Jeremy's thoughts, causing his scalp to prickle and his hair to rise. Dang, he hated it when a female screamed; it was enough to make anyone's flesh crawl. Curiosity got the better of him again, so he started dodging and weaving throughout the throng of trainers and injured Pokémon to try and find the source. And....Why was he so "heroic" again? He was already having quite a day, and he hadn't even been here for scarcely an hour. "I WANT TO KNOW THE STATUS OF MY Pokémon! NO! I WANT TO SEE MY Pokémon THIS INSTANT! YOU WILL LET ME IN TO SEE MY Pokémon! MY DAUGHTER GETS INTO A STREET FIGHT WITH MY Pokémon, NOW I WANT TO SEE MY F***ING Pokémon!" Oooh, someone was NOT happy. Considering he rarely used the F-bomb, Jeremy knew that whoever had screamed had probably done it out of rage, as it was logical to conclude that this bad-mouth was the same person. Either way, this woman sounded as though she didn't have any patience whatsoever. In fact, the source of the yelling was an older-looking woman venting her rage on another Nurse Joy (poor thing). However, this wasn't what had fully caught his attention. Standing next to her was the thieving younger girl who had stolen from the Pokémart earlier that morning, and the woman was obviously her mother by sight. Either way, it sounded as though the Ponyta had belonged to the girl's mom, and hadn't been her own. And furthermore, what had the Pokémart's owner done to anger the girl enough to make her wish to steal from him? Too many questions here.... Deciding to side-step the angry woman for the time being, Jeremy approached the girl. He wasn't trying to appear offensive or anything, so he fixed her with a serious, don't-play-games-with-me stare. "You have some explaining to do. From what I understand, you used your mother's Pokémon to battle me, as well as stole merchandise from the Pokémart. I would kindly like an explanation NOW." Hopefully, his bad-@$$ effect would work....If he didn't draw the woman's anger first. Jeremy's main goal, however, was to resolve the current situation. |

The girl looked bored and worried. The woman yelling in her ear was quite annoying, and the little girl showed it. She had a tired look on her face as Nurse Joy glanced down at her. The nurse smiled sympathetically at the young girl as you trudged towards the group. The girl spotted you coming around the woman. She held her breath and turned red, looking angrier than ever before even as you started yelling at her. The girl looked about ready to explode, when someone else did. "EXCUSE ME! I AM TRYING TO SPEAK HERE! COULD YOU TWO UNDER-AGED LOVERS TAKE THIS SOMEPLACE ELSE?! GET LOST!" The woman screamed at the back of your head at the top of her lungs. You gritted your teeth as you braced yourself with the screaming ringing through your head. "JESSICA! GET OVER HERE! YOU ARE PUNISHED UNTIL YOU GET MARRIED! DO YOU HEAR ME?!" A small girl with short black hair appeared from the crowd. She probably resembled her father more than her mother. Her mother screaming her head off was obviously embarrassing her as the girl walked behind her mother with her head down. Oh, boy! You made a huge mistake! I'd hate to be you right now. "What do you think you're doing! Would you stop following me! Leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with you! Why are you so determined to make me give the stuff back. I won't! Not to him! Never!" The girl threw the pokeball with her injured Ponyta on the counter. Nurse Joy gleefully scooped it up. "We will find you when your Pokémon is ready to be taken home." The girl nodded and walked away from you quickly. Something glinted out the corner of her eye as she walked away. She was obviously upset, why were you such a jerk, anyway?! |

(He wasn't exactly yelling, but whatever. *shrugs*) "EXCUSE ME! I AM TRYING TO SPEAK HERE! COULD YOU TWO UNDER-AGED LOVERS TAKE THIS SOMEPLACE ELSE?! GET LOST!" God, this woman was rude. Deep down, Jeremy almost felt sorry for the girl, but he didn't show it. Even though he had spoken up at a high volume, he hadn't exactly been "yelling". Another little girl appeared from the crowd, obviously the thief's younger sister and very embarrassed with her mother's yelling. His thoughts, however, were blown away from him as he was interrupted...again. "What do you think you're doing! Would you stop following me! Leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with you! Why are you so determined to make me give the stuff back. I won't! Not to him! Never!" Something that looked a lot like a tear was in the girl's eye as she slapped down the Ponyta's pokeball on the table and left. Dang, he really felt like an @$$ now. Here he was trying to help justice, and now things were screwed up enough to be a slap in the face. Either way, Jeremy had to follow the girl. He had to find out what was wrong, and try to find out why this situation was screwed up in the first place. Stealing wasn't a path to go, but why had she done it? Things were getting a little out of control, not to mention strange. Trying to weave his way through the crowded center, he tried to keep the girl in his sights. Gripping Exo's Pokeball, he'd use the same tracking method as last time, if possible. |

As you tossed Exo's pokeball outwards, releasing the little Aron, you both quickly began tracking the girl. Exo seemed to constantly "sniff" the air, in order to maybe catch her scent, though as you could probably guess, Aron was FAR from the perfect dog, and therefore wasn't able to catch her scent properly. Sadly, Exo was unable to catch a proper scent of the girl, and therefore hung his head in shame as he now felt as though he had failed. "Ar..." The Pokémon echoed from within its metal shell as he turned back to you and looked up sadly. Aww, how sad. Suddenly, his head twitched and he quickly took off using agility to not lose whatever scent he had caught. Amazingly, by using agility, Ero was moving at about two or three times his regular speed, which made it difficult for even YOU to keep up with. Hurrying after the iron dog, you found yourself in a similar situation as before, chasing a girl down because she had something you needed, in this case, information. Soon enough, you found yourself standing behind Ero, looking on towards the girl who had walked into a store and was just gathering up items from the aisles, before hurrying over to the check out counter, and paying for it. Waiting outside the Pokémart, you leaned against a wall and waited for her while Ero stood right beside you. |

Dang, this was deja vu all over again. Here Jeremy was, chasing after a "thief" with his only Pokémon, Exo. The Aron was sniffing the air, and soon he almost gave up when he sped off, having obviously caught wind of something with his nose. More than likely it was the girl with the loud-mouthed, annoying mother. "Go get 'er Exo!" Jeremy encouraged as he struggled to keep up with the Agility-happy Aron. He didn't want it to attack her, but he was trying to encourage it more than anything. Soon, the speedy steel type stopped in front of a store, where the girl was gathering up items through the aisles like any normal shopper would. Strangely enough, she even headed over to the checkout counter and paid for her stuff! This was a surprise to Jeremy, since he was expecting her to steal again. This was, like last time, a Pokémart, but obviously a different one in the large city of Wayford. Deciding to let her alone until she exited, Jeremy casually leaned against the wall outside while Exo stood in his shadow. He was not going to let her get away this time. And...Hopefully she didn't have anymore Pokémon, if any. |

Soon enough, the girl walked out of the Pokémart with two bags of items. Since the bags were plastic, you could see that she had bought pokeballs, potions, antidotes, etc. all in bulk as she looked at you statled and then sighed as she just continued walking. "Ignore him, and he'll go away." She said to herself as she walked ahead, eyes closed while she held a bag in each hand. Not wanting to let her escape, you began following her down the street. Luckily, this time, she wasn't running and you could just walk to keep up. Exo walked close behind/beside you as you both tracked the girl. Finally though, she came to a stop and turned around. "What do you want from me?" She asked you, as she looked up into the sky where she noticed a random flock of Starly flying off. She turned her attention back to you and looked at her trainer bag where she still had the pokeballs and such. "Oh, right." She said, putting her bags down and throwing the bag to you. "If you want to take them back so badly, go ahead. I honestly don't care, my mother is already..." She stopped herself before she said B-chin. With that, she turned back around and continued walking, no longer wanting to have anything to do with you she just walked off towards her home. Unless you wanted to get some more information, I guess you could go return the bag... or keep what was inside. x5 x4 x6

Finally, after what seemed like ages, the girl exited the Pokémart with two bags full of items. At first, she walked right past Jeremy, clearly intent on ignoring him. Lord, that was rude. Naturally, he didn't want his quarry to get away, so Jeremy began following the girl again with Exo following suit. She wasn't going to get away from him again. Not after what she'd done. "What do you want from me?" the girl asked, and then noticed that Jeremy's attention was on her backpack which still had the stolen goods inside of it. "Oh, right. If you want to take them back so badly, go ahead. I honestly don't care, my mother is already..." Here she stopped, and Jeremy could sense the dropped insult. Then again, he wouldn't blame her for thinking such things. Well, he had what he had come for. Realizing that he could return this stuff without any further problems, he supposed that he could take it back to the Pokémart and collect a reward or something...if there was one. But his curiosity was still bothering him. Why had the girl stolen from the Pokémart in the first place? None of this made any sense to him.... Picking up the girl's discarded bag and recalling dear Exo, he half-ran up to her and coordinated his pace with hers while saying nothing. It would probably annoy her, but he wanted to know why she had taken the stuff. "This probably isn't any of my business," he started after a moment. "But why did you steal that stuff in the first place? You just bought this stuff in a different Pokémart without any problems at all. Look, I'm sorry for tailing you, but stealing's wrong, and you seem to know that." |

The girl just walked away for a while, until you decided to follow her! Not a smart move on your part, it made you look like a stalker, but I guess your reasons were... meh. But as soon as you caught up, you decided to say seven words that instantly caused her to snap as she turned around and began shouting; "YOU ARE RIGHT! IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" With that, she darted off, much to fast for you to track her, and you were left standing on the sidewalk... alone... while the sun was still high up in the sky. With a sigh, you turned around and began heading back off towards, wherever you were going, and soon found yourself face to... uhm, needle, with a pin cushion. "Pidoo?" A noise came from the pin cushion as the needle jabbed into its body bobbed up and down, glowing a bright pink for a second before it soon faded away. Hm, what might this little Pokémon be? Was it even a Pokémon? Who knew... Why not check it out on your Poke(Dex? Tech?) :pidoo :typepsychic Lv. 7 Genderless |

"YOU ARE RIGHT! IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" Ouch. Jeremy couldn't help but wince as the girl took off, way too fast for him to track her. She was really a piece of work...But he was tired of tailing her to return that stuff. Females could be so frustrating at times...He had just learned that the hard way. Sighing, he realized (for the hundredth time) that tailing her had been useless. His attempt at bringing justice had gone foul. Well, he supposed he was really starting over now. In fact, he wasn't even paying attention to where he was walking. Perhaps he should leave Wayford, and just hit the Routes and travel around more. Suddenly, Jeremy noticed that he almost ran smack into something. The thing was definitely a Pokémon, although nothing that he'd ever seen. This Pokémon resembled a pincushion, and it was staring at him with ones of its...needles, which was glowing and bobbing up and down. "Pidoo?" Deciding to check his Poketech on the Pokémon, he aimed the contraption at the pincushion thing. He had never seen such a Pokémon before, so he assumed that it was rare. Whatever it was...he wanted it. Jeremy wanted to befriend it, if possible, since the thing wasn't threatening him or anything. |

Pidoo looked at you as you used your Poketech to find some info on it. Soon enough, the little machine began spitting out information as a holographic image of the Pokémon was shown. "Pidoo, the Pin Cushion Pokémon" --Seemed fitting-- "Pidoo is a strange Pokémon. Being a single Pokémon, it branches off into two seperate families, one which takes hold of the Psychic Type, the other taking hold of the Ghost Type. Not much is known beyond this point." Well, that was a little less then helpful. Though, soon enough, the image of the Pokémon was gone and now a scrolly story, like what you'd see at the start of the Star Wars movies, started passing as the history of the Pokémon was written out. "Pidoo is a rather complex Pokémon indeed. Once an inanimate object, Pidoo was created through the differences of two Pokémon types. See, back in the time where people had to gather cloth to make their own clothing, a woman had gathered her clothes and pin cushion, and ordered her Alakazam and Gengar to work together in creating an outfit for her to wear to the square that evening. These two Pokémon, Gengar and Alakazam, were never allies, despite being on the same team. So, they kept away from each other while the created the woman's outfit for that night, one working on a top, the other on a skirt for her. The outfits were designed, and the two Pokémon reached for the pin cushion so that they might be able to start working on the clothes themselves. Both Pokémon reached for the pin cushion at once, and when their hands touched they looked at one another angrily, Alakazam fired off a Psybeam at Gengar, who returned with a Shadow Ball attack, and through this a battle broke loose between the two Pokémon. Eventually, this battle caused the pin cushion to call onto the ground ahead of Gengar and Alakazam, and both Pokémon had attacks, and missed, causing their attacks to strike the pin cushion at the same exact time. Something occured then, when the Psychic power and the Ghostly attack combined, they seemed to have been absorbed by the cushion, and forged a new being, a new Pokémon who held both Ghost-Type abilities and Psychic-Type abilities. This one new Pokémon, was said to have sealed the Gengar and Alakazam in stone pokeballs where they could never escape again, but that is yet to be proven. As time passed though, this Pin Cushion Pokémon seemed to pass its power onto other inanimate pin cushions, which in turn gave their power to more and more pin cushions, and eventually two branches of this Pokémon were created. Soon enough, the original pin cushion broke apart into two different Pokémon, but at the same time, the same Pokémon. One with the power of a ghost, the other with the powers of a Psychic." That gave a bit more info, and atleast you had an idea of this Pokémons power. "Pidoo..." The little pincushion said again as it seemed to draw a smiley face in the air with its Psychic power. Obviously, this was the Psychic-Type of Pidoo. Suddenly though, the Pidoo became somewhat angry looking as it released a small, condensed wave of energy right into your chest, causing you to topple over onto your bum. Pidoo looked at you angrily, obviously wanting a battle as it stood, and waited for you to call out your Pokémon. I guess that killed your chances of befriending it without a battle... aye? |

Jeremy listened in interest as the information passed through his ears and into his brain. Indeed, this was a strange Pokémon, and it had a weird legend following it. Still, it would be nice to have such a rare (and cute!) Pokémon in his arsenal. God knows Exo could use some help now and again should the need for a double battle arise. Looking up from his Poketech, he watched as the Pidoo drew a smiley face in the air. It was slightly entertaining, and that made it quite obvious that it was the psychic variant. Perfect.... Suddenly, the thing for whatever reason became angry, and shot a sort of wave at Jeremy's chest. For some reason or another, the thing wanted to battle him. If he was even going to touch this...thing, he needed to battle it properly. "Well little buddy," Jeremy remarked to the Pidoo, detaching Exo's Pokeball from his neck chain. "I don't know what I did to offend you, but I'll battle you if you wish." Hopefully, Exo would perform well in this one. Releasing the Aron, Jeremy said, "Ready Exo?" The Aron burped a reply, nodding and squaring off against his new (and strange) opponent. The Aron could sense that Jeremy wanted this one, so he resolved to try his best in this battle. |

Pidoo looked at you and blinked as it wondered what exactly you wanted your Aron to do... but without commands, the Aron probably wouldn't move. With an inner smirk, Pidoo hovered over a few feet away, as he would start the battle off quickly. "Pidoo..." The Pin cushion called as he suddenly began glowing brightly, and soon two Pidoo stood together, one of them disappearing for a moment. "Pidoo..." The pidoo that remained said as it looked at you mindlessly, then suddenly began to glow brightly yet again, and then a very thin energy covered it, hardening the cushion of its body to match the shell of Exo... in a way. Hm... this was a bit strange, wasn't it? Could it be possible that these two things were attacks? Oh my, yes there were. Looking into the Poketech, you found a small list of attacks that Pidoo could perform, two of which seemed somehow firmiliar to what had just happened. "Substitute. This attack allows the user to make a perfect substitute of itself. The substitute takes on the damage of any attacks, and is able to attack FOR the user through a mental connection. Getting around this attack is tricky, as it clouds the opposing Pokémon's mind to the point where they do, truly, believe that the substitute is real." "Role Play. This attacks allows the user to take on a certain trait of the targetted Pokémon. This can be anything from the golden coin of a meowth, to Synchranize ability of a Ralts." Oh, this would not be good... it was obvious that Pidoo had made a substitution, and with Exo unknowing that it was a fake... the odds that he would be able to succesfully strike the real one were low. Plus the fact that Pidoo had taken on the hardened shell of an Aron, this Pidoo was going to be rather difficult to defeat. :pidoo {Sub} 10/39 76%{Metal Shell (2 Centimeters Thick)} :pidoo 29/39 91%![]() 37/37 100%So, your move? (He was waiting for the Pidoo to make a move. :D ) Jeremy bit his lower lip, having not been too prepared for what he had just witnessed. Being able to use Substitute was one thing, but using Role Play was definitely another. This little ghost would be trickier than he thought; his Poketech had just confirmed that much. Jeremy would have to play the situation safe for now if he wanted to even think about catching this miniature psychic ghost thing. Exo, however, remained oblivious to what had happened. True, he had seen all that had happened. As far as the little guy knew, the Pidoo had performed something relatively harmless. He now looked pretty confident, and if he had a tail, the little Aron would definitely be wagging it. He had never seen this "Pidoo" thing before, but it didn't seem like such a huge threat...Little did he know! "Right, Exo, we need to play this safe," Jeremy said, while the little Pokémon looked at him quizzically. "Use Harden to raise your own defense, and then move in towards the 'Pidoo' with a Bite attack!" If they were able to pull this off, the sub would soon disappear. After all, weren't psychic types weak against dark attacks? Sure, Bite was a Global Attack Move, but if Jeremy figured right, it would cause just enough damage to make the Sub vanish. Hopefully, Role Play wouldn't also copy Exo's heightened defense.... "And a word of advice Exo, this thing isn't as harmless as it looks!" Well, better safe than sorry.... |
