Welcome to the glorious and speaky clean city of Wayford. A city filled and based upon an aesthetic ideal to be as cleanily as possible. Maybe it's just a way of thinking here, like they want to be better than everyone else in the entire region. Of course, you might have a different idea and opinion after you explore a bit. After all, appearances are deceiving. Well, now as you dissambark from the bus to the right stop you wanted, you found yourself in Wayford's market. Now this spot of the city did not have highly polished walls of it's buildings, but the shops around here were quite appealing and friendly feeling. Hard to believe that this place is at some sort of war with Hurst, what with all the wealth this place seems to have. So the shops and restaurants are displayed right into of you, including the Pokémart, where a young brown girl exited out of the store with a suspious look on her face. After running right down the street passing many people, the owner of the Pokémart rushed to the door after her, but found that the child eluded his sight. "Hey! Come back here!" Interesting. You've been here less than five whole minutes, and already there's action. Shall you go and see what happened? |

As Jeremy stepped off of the bus, his eyes were almost blinded at the cleanliness of this town, Wayford. The docks hadn't even been this colorful as he had disembarked from the ferry and climbed on the bus. Except for what he had read about the region in his local newspaper, it was hard to believe that such a wonderful place was at war with another town, Hurst. Walking down the street, he found himself in a sort of market/restaurant area. This wasn't as extravagant as the gleaming white buildings elsewhere in town, but still nice enough to look at. He wondered if he could find any fresh fruit or berries here for his stomach as well as his new Aron's. He had checked out the Pokémon earlier, and found the hardy male Pokémon to his liking. He wondered if his foster parents had paid a pretty penny to get this fairly rare Pokémon, which wasn't native to Sinnou. He dearly loved them, but he instinctively reached towards his left shoulder to remind himself why he was here. He had to find his true beginnings, in part to protect his foster family. The unseen tattoo under his shirt sleeve was proof enough of that. As Jeremy's gaze wandered over to a Pokémart, he noticed a young girl exit the store with a suspicious look on her face. He could sense that she had something to hide; he could feel it. She practically melded into the crowd of people in the street as she ran for cover. In a moment, a man that was more than likely the owner of the store appeared and yelled after her. Assuming that she had possibly stolen something, Jeremy didn't stop to ask the owner for details. Sprinting after the girl and trying not to lose sight of her, he'd try to straighten this situation out in one way or another. He was used to dealing with younger kids, so hopefully this wouldn't go down too badly. |

As you followed the girl, people were quickly darting out of your direction. The girl was swerving all across the crowds, purposely trying to distract anyone from following her. However, thankfully, she wasn't quite as fast as you, but was still as nimble and agile as an Absol. From where you were, you couldn't tell if she was holding anything or not, but she managed to turn her head around, and noticed you following her. "Stay away!" She nimbly bent down briefly in mid-step, continuing onward as she began to throw rocks behind her, straight at you. Wherever she was going, she must have wanted to go there alone, and definitely didn't want anyone following her. Surely, they had to be some way to get her before she actually hurt someone. However, her nimbleness was proving to be too valiant to stop easily. She disappeared behind a crowd before she reappeared farther ahead. Some cursed as you sped by, others snorting in disgust that so many people were running around and being rude. Several were flustered that they were pushed by the girl, but they continued on after they glared daggers. "Trainers these days," someone commented with a 'hrmph' as you passed. |

Biting his lip as he followed the girl, Jeremy couldn't help but think how impressed he was at how she was using her agility and smaller size to her advantage. Come now, he wasn't going to hurt her or anything...Unless it had to come to it. While Jeremy was faster than her, the crowds definitely didn't help with his pursuit of her any. "Stay away!" she called to him, as he tried to keep her in sight. The persistent little girl even started flinging rocks at him, and he tried his best to ignore the sharp sting of the rocks as they hit him. Dang, he wouldn't get anywhere like this...He needed a plan B to go along with this one. And Exo was it. Ignoring the protests of both he and the girl pushing through the crowd, he reached down to his belt and grabbed Exo's pokeball, releasing the Aron. The Aron's true name was Excalibur after the legendary Arthurian sword, but for now, Exo was a nice abbreviation. "Exo, help me follow that girl. If you can corner her, use a light Tackle to knock her down, but don't try to hurt her if you can help it," Jeremy said while pointing out the girl to his partner in crime (figure of speech there), who was sitting on his shoulder. The Aron, in turn, burped a reply once he got a visual on the female, jumped off, and started running as fast as he could after her on his stubby legs, dodging and weaving between the legs of people in the crowd. |

Little, valiant Exo began his pursuit, stubby legs flying over the pavement. It didn't help much that he weigh a lot heavier than he looked. However, he could dodge between the millions of feet and legs around him. He nimbly moved among the stalks of these insignificant people, his ice blue eyes focused on the girl. She kept running but he was catching up. Luckily, the sudden appearance of him had parted the crowd a tad like the Red Sea and you found it a bit easier to move through. Exo panted but he was withing reach of the girl. He was hidden under the wide berth of some woman and used this advantage to leap out of nowhere. The girl screamed loudly when she turned around and saw the silver monster flying at her like a speeding bullet. She was unable to move out of the way and he slammed into her like a ton of bricks. Apparently, his definition of light and yours weren't exactly the same thing. By now, you had caught up and you found your brave Aron sitting on her chest like a dog. She was a little out of it from the fall but no one was stopping to help her, assuming the Aron was hers and had made a bit of a mistake in strength. In her fall though, she had dropped what looked like several Potions and PokeBalls. A couple of the Potions had popped open and had spilled all over the sidewalk. She was struggling to get Exo off of her then but the Aron proved to be much heavier than he looked. Growling, she glared at you. "Get this thing off of me! I didn't do anything!" However, she still looked suspicious and was trying to hide the PokeBalls and what was left of the Potions from you. |

"Ar," Exo said proudly yet defiantly, still sitting on the girl's chest. He wasn't a "thing"! He was from a proud, sturdy race of Aron, and no insulting human would take that away from him. At this point, Jeremy also sped into sight, able to still track the girl's movements. "Get this thing off of me! I didn't do anything!" the girl yelled to Jeremy. However, her claim was actually contradictory, as she still had a suspicious look on her face as she tried to stow the remaining Pokeballs and Potions out of sight. He wasn't stupid; he knew better. "I'll let him off of you," Jeremy said calmly, walking up to the sprawled-out figure, "if you can prove that you didn't steal that stuff, or if you take it back to the Pokémart owner with an apology." He stared into her eyes, trying to convey how serious he was. Hopefully, she wouldn't try to pull anything stupid. Then, he was afraid that he'd have to have Exo Tackle her again. He held himself at the ready, in case she suddenly decided to bolt. He was damming up his adrenaline in case he had to chase her again...From what he could tell, Exo was trying to do the same thing. |

The girl mumbled in displeasure, annoyed and agitated at the same time. The potions she had were strewn all around her, but she managed to, thankfully, gather as many Pokeballs as she could with the Aron still on top of her. "You just don't get it do you?" The girl spat as she tried to shove the Aron off of her. He was far too heavy to budge easily. "You don't know who that guy is! You don't know what he's done to my family!" The anger pent up in the girl's face. "I'm not giving back these items no matter what you do!" Even though Aron was on top of her, the girl managed to toss a Pokeball as a Ponyta emerged from the ball. "Ponyta, get this Aron off of me!" The Ponyta jumped to action, twisting around and launching its back legs on the small, steel-type Pokémon. Not enough to hurt the Aron, but hard enough to shove the Pokémon off its trainer. Quickly the girl jumped up, gathering as many potions as possible and stuffing them back into her sack. "Sucker!" She sped off again with a sneer, but this time, Ponyta stayed behind, watching you and your Aron carefully. It began to paw at the ground with its diamond hard hooves, scathing at the pavement as the flames on its back flickered with power. If you even tried going after her, this Ponyta wasn't going to let you. The girl didn't go far, however. She stayed close, watching with a smirk, ready to spring out and give her Pokémon orders when you and your Aron were least expecting it. Lvl. 5 :Female 35 / 35 97%

God, this girl was desperate. She was still gathering some of the dropped pokeballs as she made another snide comment. "You just don't get it do you? You don't know who that guy is! You don't know what he's done to my family! I'm not giving back these items no matter what you do!" Wow, harsh. Perhaps, if he'd just listen to her side of the story, Jeremy could settle this by judging it according to his views and so forth. Had the shop owner wronged her, somehow? Either way, stealing wasn't the way to go.... Suddenly, the girl threw out a pokeball and called out a Ponyta, who ever so rudely shoved Exo off of the girl's chest. Before Jeremy could do anything, the girl took advantage of this, gathered up her fallen/stolen merchandise, and ran off some ways. She even went as far as to call Jeremy a sucker! He definitely wasn't going to take that. Especially when Exo had been threatened. Still, the girl stayed close by, and Jeremy immediately interpreted this as a battle. "If you won't listen to reason," he started, "then I have no choice but to battle. I'm trying to help, and I want to hear your side of the story. At the least, I won't turn you in, but I'll take the stolen merchandise back. If not...well, I suppose I'll have to do this the very hard way." He waited expectantly for the girl's decision, even though an order for Exo was already resting on his tongue. He was at a disadvantage, but hopefully, the Ponyta didn't know any harmful moves to steel types. |

The idiot took the bait, The girl though as she smirked from the distance looking off towards you and Exo. Without a word to you, she snapped her fingers and Ponyta kicked up dirt behind her, which instantly caused people to back away from the battle. The girl called to you with a smirk, "Fine, if it'll get you to back away from me. We can battle, if I lost, I'll return everything, BUT if I win, you have to leave me alone, AND apologize to me by giving me a present, two pokéballs and 50$. Deal?" She finished as she tried to bargain with you. Without waiting for you to say whether you agreed or not, she snapped once again and her Ponyta was clicking her heels in anger. With a loud neigh, Ponyta quickly vanished from sight, obviously using Agility to dart about through the crowd, and being a horse, of course she was fast on her own anyways. Suddenly, your Aron heard a loud clicking noise from near him, and just in time, jumped out of the way before Ponyta could tackle him. Obviously, this trainer meant business, and had a really strong bond with her Pokémon, or maybe the Pokémon was afraid to deny her trainer, either way it didn’t matter, because the battle was on now. Although most of the people had scattered from the sidewalk by which you two were now battling, some of them returned and formed a large circular area where the battle between you two would commence. Whispers had already started though, people wondered what exactly the girl was talking about, and announcing the fact that she had something she needed to return probably wasn’t the best idea she could’ve had. But for now, that didn’t seem to matter, this girl had already made the first move, and I’m sure you weren’t about to let this battle continue, without striking back, right? ![]() 35/35 99%![]() 35/35 95% |

He always hated bargains. But if this would get the girl to cooperate, he'd have to take the bait. It seemed a little unfair if he lost, but then again, what did he have to lose? Besides his beloved Exo, anyway....But in either case, there was definitely going to be a battle. hopefully, he'd straighten this girl up somehow. "Fine," Jeremy stated, not about to back down. "I accept your terms, although I wish I understood this whole situation better. So Exo, use an Agility to boost your speed, and then use the built-up speed for a Tackle!" Exo burped his reply as most Aron do, and then lowered his head to begin his work. He wasn't about to be defeated by some overrated horse! Besides, it had attempted to attack him, and most Pokémon wouldn't take that lying down. Even though the steel type hated fire, his honor was at stake here. |

Exo shot off like a shining metallic bullet, hitting a pole but thrusting his stubby legs to rebound back off. It was a perfect move and timing had come into play, something most Aron fail horribly at. Before you knew it, the metallic ball had sped into the Ponyta's flank, damaging her greatly as she sidestepped backwards to stay up, but then collapsed in pain. Excalibur laughed a gravelly giggle, and then trotted back to you with an innocent face, wishing to know his next move. You stared down at him with a wondering face, considering he had just seriously injured that Ponyta, who after all hadn't done anything wrong. Exo gave you a true innocent face, and you forgave him. It isn't like he was told not to hit soft or something like that. The thieving girl looked at you with hatred, and then down at Excalibur, a suspicious twinkling in her eyes. She smiled sweetly to you, and ran over to her Ponyta. The Ponyta managed to get back up, but very painfully. You could see a clear black bruise, as if her skin had been singed by her painless flames covering her body. Before you could figure out why she was injured like that, the girl had raised up to a standing position, pointing at your Aron. "Ponyta, do that special Flame Wheel we've been practicing!" The girl exclaimed with a frightening smile. Her Ponyta neighed in detest but all the same raised up off her front hooves and hinnied. She landed back down, but when she landed her flames extended all over her body. She lowered her head and charged, but this time the beast flipped quickly, making her roll like a wheel towards your Aron. Exo had definitely not been expecting this and was caught in the Ponyta's path. He stood his ground to keep steady, to defend against the move, but because of his size he was rolled over and stuck in the wheel. Flames shot against his metal body making him yelp in pain, but soon both the Ponyta and Exo fell over. Excalibur collapsed to the side, getting away from the fire, while the Ponyta lay flat out on the ground, totally exhausted. ---------------------- You: Lv. 5 24/35 87%Foe: :Female Lv. 6 17/35 63%---------------------- |

Jeremy bit his lip, knowing that Exo had just taken a pretty bad hit. Fire definitely wasn't a favorite offense of steel Pokémon, especially Aron. All the same, Excalibur had pulled off a pretty decent hit first. Agility had definitely been a wise choice. Hopefully, Jeremy wouldn't make any wrong moves at this point. By now, he had given up on trying to persuade the girl and not attack. It was obvious that she was going to remain stubborn. There were a lot of motives to steal, but he wondered what that Pokémart owner had done to make her so upset. He hadn't wanted to attack a graceful Pokémon like Ponyta, but at this point he didn't really have much of a choice. "You okay Exo?" he asked the Aron a little tentatively. With a weakened cry, Exo slowly stood back up on his stubby legs. In short, he had definitely felt better, but he felt like he could still continue battling. Other than that, the Aron wasn't in too bad a shape. If Jeremy wasn't wise in what moves he chose, however, his Aron definitely wasn't going to get much of anywhere in this battle. "Okay then, use Harden to raise your defense for another hard hit, just to be prepared. Then, once there's an opening, use what's left of your speed boost from earlier and use a Tackle!" Jeremy semi-confidentially ordered. Hopefully, this round would be slightly more successful than the last. |

"Get up Ponyta!" The girl pleaded a cry towards her Pokémon as the Pokémon slowly stood on her long, majestic legs. She glared at Exo as her legs evenly proportioned her weight and she regained her perfect balance. The Ponyta was battle-scarred and bruised, but still willing to fight and not going to give up. Little Exo stood bravely and gave an even stare towards Ponyta. He let your orders sink in before his armor glinted in the sunlight as he used harden. Ponyta stared at the little steel Pokémon. He stood gallantly as his head came back into order and he got used to the pain, for now anyways. The Ponyta looked down at him as she struggled to stand up. "Ponyta! Use leer! Then another flame wheel!" The girl didn't seem to think much about battling but she was trying to use tactics. Exo wasn't prepared for a Leer and was caught off guard, his defense lowering again for that split second. It wasn't looking good at all at this point. The Ponyta started to carry out the rest of its attack orders. The flame on its back started to rise and she was getting ready to spine when suddenly... Ponyta gave out a strange yelp as her leg gave out and she suddenly fell on one leg. Smart little Exo took the opportunity once he gathered himself and started to charge at Ponyta with whatever speed boost he had left. "Ponyta!" The girl pleaded again. It seemed as if she had given up on talking also, everything relied on this battle now. Exo charged and was ready for a tackle. Ponyta wasn't ready to go down as she picked up her flame again as if to use Flame Wheel. She was spinning sideways on the ground as the flame wheel came into effect. It was too late to hold back as Exo charged right in head first. The flames hurt him and charred his body but Ponyta was sent flying. Exo hit Ponyta square in the back from the flame. Ponyta skidded across the concrete and looked very hurt. The hardened tackle with the speed boost seems to have defeated the Ponyta. "Oh, no! Look what you did to my Ponyta! How could you! Get away from me!" The girl shot the red beam from the pokeball at her Ponyta as she started to run, again. It didn't look like she wanted to talk but she was headed in the direction of the Pokémon center. Exo looked happy, but messed up. He was in some sort of daze as he looked on. You could chase the girl, but I'd want to heal Exo. It depends on what you want to do but lets hope she is going to the Pokémon center. ____________________________________________ You: Level 5 10/35 60%+66 ![]() Edit: Aron leveled up. |

Yes! This had been Jeremy's first battle, and it had been a success, to say the least. Exo looked exhausted, but also quite pleased with himself. He had just shown a fire type that he meant business. And the battle itself had been supremely awesome. The only thing wrong here was that the girl was running away again.... "HEY! Come back! You agreed that if I won, you'd return that stuff that you stole from the Pokémart!" Jeremy yelled as he took off running after her, his eyes flashing with fury. "And if you do have a problem with the store owner, you can tell me and I'll help you sort things out! But stealing isn't the way to go." The thought flashed through his mind that he was headed towards the Pokémon Center, and that Exo definitely needed a checkup by now from that battle. But still, the issue with this insane female was really pressing at the moment. Even as much as he loved Exo, the poor Aron would have to wait a little longer. "Return Exo!" he said, as the Aron was running behind him, panting heavily. The steel type could definitely use a rest around now. With a satisfied grunt, the Aron happily returned to his spherical prison for a much-needed rest. Now, to deal with the current matter of the girl... |

The girl paid no mind to you. With items in her arms she rushed off towards the Pokémon center. As you gave chase Exo was struggling to keep up. It was a smart move since he was about to collapse from being overworked. The Pokémon center was pretty easy to find, considering the large, red roof that protected it overhead from the environment. The Pokémon center was crowded today. Maybe because this was such a big city that it was always crowded, but the 3 floored Pokémon center was a bit overcrowded. The two floors above were used as hospital rooms. Chanseys and Blissys darted around pushing beds with Pokémon on them. "Ivysaur!""Pikachu!""Doduo!""Victreebel!""Umbreon!" Trainers cried for their Pokémon as they were shuffled off to their rooms, severely injured or otherwise. What in the world was going on that would cause this much Pokémon to be hospitalized? Well, you weren't here for that but for the welfare of your Aron. You walked up to the counter where one Nurse Joy stood like a statue and smiled at you. A Cleffa was sitting on the counter. "Hello, sir. How may I help you today? Is your Pokémon hurt? Did you challenge Lady Kioja too? We'll take care of your Pokémon." The Cleffa on the counter snatched Exo's Pokémon from you and opened it. The white beam let out perfectly and a Blissy caught it on an oncoming cart. "Your Aron looks fine, we'll just give him some things for it to feel better and rest. If you would be so kind as to stay here, it won't be very long." Exo looked at you with a long face. After nodding a reassurance that it was going to be okay he was taken behind a door. It might be a new experience but you could always trust a Pokémon center, unless Team Rocket happens to be in charge of it and posing as the Nurse Joy so it can take your Pokémon and steal them. But I don't think that is going to happen here. She said something about Lady Kioja. Who is she? And for that girl, was she around anywhere? Nurse Joy would probably know if a knocked out Ponyta came through. So many choices! |
